Yay! The Don is recovering nicely from his heart scare. Gary is reading yet another book, which you gave him for. Oh, that's right, the one on chickens. Yeah, he's gonna start reading about chickens when he finishes what I think.
SPEAKER_01I thought that was a fun book.
SPEAKER_00Oh, he you know, he loved the T-Rex biology. Yeah. Blaze is here in person this month looking as beautiful as ever. But we don't know where she is. We don't know where she is. And even Hugo is making a rare appearance. I am Linda Strochane of the Mercury Academy. And I'm Sandy from Gemological Esoterica.
SPEAKER_01And we are two dozy broads. This month's unenthusiastic titraid is about retirement. As some of you may know, I am closing my metaphysical stone shop at the end of this year. I've been in business for 30 years. Next month will be 30 years. You've done your time. I've done my time. This has brought up a question from many people. So what are you going to do? My general stupid response is sit around, get fatter, and die. But people don't seem to like that response, and I don't understand why.
SPEAKER_00I don't either.
SPEAKER_01Why do I have to retire and do something?
SPEAKER_00Well, yeah, why do you have to do that? Well, it it goes along with some of the astrological stuff that we're dealing with. I'm here to tie what Sandy's saying in with the changes of life that happen, that happen frequently to all of us with the sun and the moon. Now, by this I mean the universal changes of life called the solar and lunar eclipses. And we have a couple of them coming up in September of 2025. I say that so I don't know when you're listening to this, so you know. It could have been two years ago. It could have been. Now we have uh just like in the regular change of life, the eclipses coming in September 2025 had have hot flashes, which are the heat, the drought, all of that sort of thing. And night sweats, all that water. You got all that water going on. Now, the total lunar eclipse is the 7th of September at 15 degrees Pisces. Now that's when the Earth's shadow blocks the moon's light. It's a karmic return. So you end up dealing with little bits of karma that you hadn't dealt with before. In the karmic wheel of life, something comes back and says, I'm back. I'm gonna bite you. Truth we don't really think we want to know. Comes and says, I'm truth in your life. And you can't get by it. There's lots of intuition going on at this time. No boundaries. Now that could be uncomfortable. So so uh the lunar eclipse is basically a rip-roaring, chaotic, wonderful. It's an emotional explosion. It can be clean cleaning and he clearing and healing, though, which is a really wonderful thing, and that's very important. Yes. So that's the lunar eclipse. We'll discuss the solar one in a few minutes.
SPEAKER_01Yes. So back to me, back to you. Back to me. And going back to the retirement thing, just because I will no longer be in retail sales, it doesn't mean I cannot finally branch out into some new directions. That's scary. You and I used to laugh about this, it was about five years ago, maybe ten years ago, we'd laugh about having a psychic bookmobile. I love that idea where we were getting an old RV. We're gonna drive it around, park in odd spots, set up a table, and do readings on the spot for people. Just like the Partridge family. And and that part we just at we we laughed about that for years. Oh god.
SPEAKER_00Oh god. It's such a great visual.
SPEAKER_01It is, and and it was, you know, it would have been just this beat-up old RV that you know needed a bath and four new tires, you know.
SPEAKER_00Beep, beep, here come old psychically.
SPEAKER_01That's right, that's right. You know, we really could have made it, we could have made a go with that if we if we'd really pushed on it, but it's a little late for that.
SPEAKER_00It's a little late now, especially with mobility becoming.
SPEAKER_01Mobility has become an issue and not just the RV, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. Uh we also have a solar eclipse coming in September. That's on the 21st at 29 degrees of Virgo. Here come the changes. And so the the uh the lunar eclipse softens us up. Oh like like the one-two punch, the meat tenderizer, and then the solar eclipse, which lasts roughly six months until the next solar eclipse, is where things really get moving. And so you get an idea of what you're going to have to deal with during the lunar eclipse. It presents you with a few little bullet points. Then the solar eclipse comes along and says, All right, this is where we're camping for the next six months. And I won't leave until I want to leave. Okay. And so whatever you're dealing with won't leave until it's ready to leave.
SPEAKER_01And you better have brought everything you need for camping out.
SPEAKER_00Oh, you better because you you don't get to go and uh shop at Piggly Wiggly while you're waiting. Okay. This is creating a new world order in your life, habit by habit and behavior by behavior. Now, for the next six months, and this is from mid-Sept, basically early September on through six months, we see through falsehoods people who think they can lie, either people close to us or out in the world at large. They think they can, but liars are exposed all over. And so all the liars, maybe they get away with it at the moment, but there's a then something comes and ties up, a little bell to them. And it ding-ding-dings as they go along, and the bell gets bigger and bigger and bigger if they don't deal with it. And then the other question is how to work with what we're not in charge of. If you're not in control of something, how do you deal with it? Well, I guess bit by bit and moment by moment. The main thing with the solar eclipse is to be flexible. Don't go in and say, well, these are my rules, and I have to follow these rules, because the universe will go, aren't you cute? The solar eclipse has its own rules. Exactly. And they override ours. Yeah. Now, because this is in Virgo, it's the very end of Virgo, but it's still Virgo, it encourages practical solutions, how to build consistency. So if you've got ideas of I'm growing my health in some way or another, it'll say, okay, here are some things you can do. It'll give you, uh, like what I'm looking at the next few months, it'll give you some exercises you can do. Woe betide you if you don't at least do some of them on a regular basis. But you will be given practical ideas of how to handle things. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00And so it goes back to me.
SPEAKER_01It goes back to you. With the retirement thing, I I'm she and I are just we're just running two conversations this time. But um, with the podcasting, we are going to continue podcasting.
SPEAKER_00You're not getting out that easily.
SPEAKER_01You're not getting out that easily. We've been doing it, what, eight years or something like that?
SPEAKER_00We're not through yet.
SPEAKER_01And we are not through. We are not through yet. So that the podcast will continue. And uh one of the other things that a couple things that I am going to do, just to let people know, I know a bunch of you, some of you know me, some of you don't. Yeah. Um, I'm going to start focusing more on giving intuitive readings. Now, I've been doing them for quite a few years.
SPEAKER_00Yes, you have, and they're very good.
SPEAKER_01But I have never advertised, and I've always found that running the shop has gotten in the way of doing readings. Right. You know, every so often somebody will come up to me and they'll say, Can you do a reading after the store closes? And it's like, well, yeah, I, you know, if I'm up to it or whatever, yeah, that's fine. But I don't really schedule. It's only been the last year that maybe once every three months I've been scheduling a day to do readings. So I will continue to do readings. And then the other thing that a lot of you don't know because you don't know me, is I make glass.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01And particularly intentioned glass. Oh, yes, that's very good glass. So it's okay, here's I want to explain intentioned glass. This actually started out where I realized it was the day your brother had his first heart attack. And I had glass in the kiln, and it came out looking vaguely heart-shaped but broken down the middle. When it was cooling off, it broke. And I went, and then you told me about your brother, and I went, Well, this is weird. Yeah. And it was sometime later I had glass in the kiln again, and there had been a terrible school shooting. And the glass came out just this muddy, icky, and it had broken and all this. And then the mind clicked and it went, Well, if the universe can put an intention into a piece of glass, why can't I put an intention into a piece of glass? Yep. So I have worked on that over the years, and I'm going to continue to do this. I make eclipse glass where if we get a tot we we get a total solar eclipse, I will take whatever the time is, wherever in the world, and I have special little round glass, and I do all kinds of eclipsey type things. And intention glasses, you place the intention, and at full fuse is whenever astronomically or whatever it is, it is in full fuse. I've also done intention glass with uh the equinoxes uh and the solstices. That's the same thing. Where I did come I did complete altar sets. That took nine months to do. You know, you do the first one, the first one I think I whatever I started, and then three months later you do the next one. And of course you have to figure out the time and this and that and place the intention. But I have found that once you place intention into a glass and you get it to full fuse, it stays there until it breaks, until or until somebody breaks it. Yes. So I'm going to have more fun with intention glass during retirement.
SPEAKER_00You deserve it. You've you've worked so hard all these years, and good God. Why don't you go back and have some good mischief?
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. And you saw the I had done of out of glass the last major solar eclipse. It was uh an 11 by 13 piece with multiple eclipse, full eclipses, and all kinds of nebulae and stuff like that. That was a wild piece. That was a wild piece. That's that's that's in the shop that will stay there. Yes. But anyway, I'm going to I'm going to do glass. So it's still going to do things. The podcasting will continue, all of that kind of stuff. Uh but the other thing, I'm probably going to start doing something for the community meals on wheels, working at the food shelf, giving back to the community. For years I've knitted hats and scarves for the homeless. There you are. But I will continue I'll probably start to add something more into it. So, and of course, it'll take me at least a year to clean out the shop.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah. Because you don't want to just do it all at once. That would that would be too sad in eclipse. So, anyway. Now, I've also got a couple of things you can do at either eclipse. Okay. In other words, to to make good use of all that energy, because it is good energy, clear away noise. And even if you do it just for one moment, you just basically clear out noise. You ground yourself, prayer, chanting, meditation, whatever you do. Find your still place in spite of all the noise and the jittering going on around. Find a place, not just a physical location, but a place inside yourself where no matter how jittery it is in the outside world, you can you've got this. It's a portable place.
SPEAKER_01But make sure you turn your phone off, make sure you put it in the other room, turn the television off, whatever, whatever it is. Turn streaming.
SPEAKER_00Turn off the computer. Stop streaming, yeah. Exactly. You don't this is not a multitask thing. These are all single task thing. That's good. Come up with a determination, whatever it is, and make it something positive. Yes. Oh yeah. Don't don't say I want to not do this.
SPEAKER_01You say I no negatives in the sense.
SPEAKER_00No negatives. So instead of saying, I want to uh not have pain in work. I want to be pain-free. Yes, I and you see. I am pain free. I am pain-free. And also go around your home and move stagnant energies around, cleanse the energy. I did that two weeks ago. Oh, it's it's a good thing to do on a regular basis because we're gonna have all kinds of little odd spots in the next coming months. Also, you know if you if you've got enough room in your home, find your make a quiet space for yourself. Find a quiet place and make it, and that's your place. It doesn't have to be big or fancy, but it just has to be there. There we go. Well, another month, another podcast. Yep. Well, I am also Linda Strochane of the Mercury Academy.
