And here we are once again, sports fans. Here we are, two dozy broads. And it we have just had the end of summer, but up here where we are, summer is still bullying us in the Northland. Most of us are waiting eagerly for fall, but odd and edgy energies are crackling through our lives, our astrology charts, and on the planetary surface itself.
SPEAKER_00And don't forget the rain. Don't forget the rain that's going on. Oh my God.
SPEAKER_01We had a lovely rain last night.
SPEAKER_00Oh, we had another two inches. That makes four inches in the last three days.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but you you get all the rain. We get just a little bit of it. I don't know what's going on on your side of the river, but we could use just a little bit of it. But what are the two dozy brush focused on right now? You may ask.
SPEAKER_00Cleaning.
SPEAKER_01Now, everybody fall off your chair. The Don is full of wisdoms, but he continues to produce the show. So we're kind of wondering what that all means. Gary is currently reading a book about Merlin and his magic, so we have no idea what October will be like.
SPEAKER_00No kidding, no kidding.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And Blaze went to the beauty parlor and came out fabulous.
SPEAKER_00She did. She did, as always.
SPEAKER_01Oh, of course.
SPEAKER_00And we remain Sandy. I'm Sandy. You're not Sandy. I'm Sandy from Jenny. I'm reading satirica.
SPEAKER_01And I'm Lydia Stro's Shane of the Mercury Academy, who's reading every word in sight. And we are two dozy. Okay, well, today we are going to slightly tackle the subject of cleaning. And to let you know that it that it isn't all terrible and awful. We're going to begin with dusty stories from our past. And you get to start. I get to start. Mine, mine always seemed to center on my mother. She loved cleaning. That was her favorite hobby. She loved getting things clean. Yep. And this didn't change once she became a grandma. She babysat a lot for the grandchildren, the as I call them, the niece and the nephew, especially for the nephew. And he would have been about three. And mid-morning, my mother and I talked pretty much every day. She called and she said, Bob is over here. And I said, Okay. And she said, We we were sitting down and he he got up and he went in the other room. And he saw that uh she hadn't made the bed yet because it had been a really busy morning and it was very early. And he came back to her in this little three-year-old face and said, Come on, grandma, let's make a bed. It only takes a minute. And she looked at him and she said, All right. She called me later and she said, I've just seen myself and it's an ugly spectacle. In the uh in the same vein from us, uh, around the same age, we were uh we were babysitting for both of the kids. Uh the nephew wanted to see Pokemon or something. That was his big thing. He wanted to watch it on the TV in the bedroom, sit on the bed with the big TV. Excuse me. And so he goes in there and we had the blinds open. And he said, he looked at me and he got really upset. He said, How can you people live like this? And he was looking at the dust on the screen, and he said, I can't watch my show like this. I went and got him a cloth. We we use Gary's old uh uh t-shirts, they make very good dust, right? And I gave it to him and he wiped off the TV carefully and he said, Did you ever know the screen could be this clean? No, and I said, No. And did you ever know that the box box on the TV was this black? And I said, No. And I once he got settled in his show, I called my mother and told her, and she told my father, and he said, you know, sometimes Linda has a tendency to exaggerate. And my mother looked at him and said, Not about this. She doesn't, no, no. And those are my cleaning stories. Now Sandy has one that's fraught with danger.
SPEAKER_00Well, my um, this dates back to about when I was 10 years old. And one of my father's sisters had one of those pregnancies that happens later later on in life. And my mother chose to have a baby shower for her because the other two kids were a lot older. There was no baby stuff floating around anymore.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00So I came home from work one day or work, school one day.
SPEAKER_01So that was your work.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that was work, boy. Yeah, parochial school, I'll tell you. So that's another podcast, though. Yeah, that's now there's a podcast. So anyway, came home and everything was spotless. Now, my mother wasn't, she was an okay cleaner. She cleaned, you know, but she was never, you know, it was it things were clean, but the place was spotless. The shower was well, baby shower was going to be in a couple of days. And I went down the hall, to my bedroom as kids do, and slipped fell on the you could see yourself in the polished hardwood floors. Oh dear God. And ouch, and she came out of the kitchen and she hollered at me because I must have been running. Well, maybe I had. Who knows? I was a kid and trying to get my get out of the the parochial school dress and the whole works. So, anyway, she said, now you have to be careful. We're having the baby shower in two days, and this house is spotless. And of course, she had done the hardwood floors in the hallway and the the bedrooms and the living room. It had hardwood floor, but there's a big rug on it. So, anyway, my dad was working days at the time. He used to work shifts, he works days, he comes home, and he walks down the hallway and he slips.
unknownOh god.
SPEAKER_00And he was a tall man, he was six foot two, and he was a big guy.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And he they had words, let's just put it that way. My mother, when my mother comes over, she's gonna break her leg, and it's gonna be your fault. Those that was the nice part of it. That was the nice part of the conversation. So, anyway, what ended up happening is how do you fix completely polished hardwood floors in two days? Well, the answer is you go to Shopper City and you buy rubber-backed rugs. That is how and everything, every hardwood surface in that house. I don't know how much they spent on them, but it was it was harvest gold, rubber-backed rugs. All harvest gold, everything harvest gold, and nobody got hurt. And my parents stayed married, and grandma didn't break her hip. So that is my that is my cleaning, isn't necessarily a good thing story.
SPEAKER_01Well, it is, and there's your mother, and and getting hardwood floors to do that back then.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, those are beautiful oak.
SPEAKER_01That was real wood, that wasn't that was real oak, yeah. So this is this is a woman doing that Swedish tweenie thing on the floor with the Oh, that's it.
SPEAKER_00It was it like I say, it was a scary when they when he went off on that, was scary, and I will not go into that part of it, but but the solution to cleaning, the solution to really polished hardwood floors is autumn, autumn gold, harvest gold, rubber back rugs. So remember that the future in case that stuff comes back.
SPEAKER_01Well, oh it's back. You look at something on on Facebook, the old sites I follow, and the young are saying, I I want green appliances, I want harvest gold appliances or harvest. They want carpet.
SPEAKER_00Somebody can have my somebody can have my harvest gold mixer when I die. They want they want carpet in the kitchen. Yeah, well, there we go. So the next thing we kind of want to talk about is uh going in for another level of cleaning. And Linda for years has done something called spook shoe, and I have done something called energetic clearing spray.
SPEAKER_01Yes, we do.
SPEAKER_00And we've been doing, we've each been doing our own thing for years, and this would have been well over 15 years ago. Oh, yeah. We were invited by one of our cousins who owned a theater, a haunted theater, very much in St. Paul, Minnesota. And we were invited in to see what we could feel. And there had been a murder in there, lit a murder in there, and there had been, we're not going to say any more than that. We're not going to go into the details, that would just be nasty. But they had actually had one of these big national groups come in and do all this stuff, and uh they hadn't gotten a whole lot, but anyway, and his wife called me up and said, Come on, come on out, see what you can see what you guys can come up with. And you and I went one Saturday afternoon, and you went with spook shoe, yes, and I went with energetic clearing spray. And I will turn the story over to you now.
SPEAKER_01Uh we found out when we first came in that all the uh the nationally recognized people had done was annoy things. Yes, yes. They they they'd gone they'd gone off into corners and disappeared, but they'd gone off into corners in a huff.
SPEAKER_00Pretty much, yeah.
SPEAKER_01But but but they were they were there and they were they were spreading their oozy malevolence all over the place. And so we got in there, and I I remember looking at you and my eyes crossed because the the feeling going in there. And I'm thinking, average Joe going into the theater to see something, wanting to buy popcorn, what the hell is he gonna feel going in there? Oh yeah, weird little energies behind him, looking and all of this. And so basically, after we kind of looked at each other and shrugged, we we we we pulled out our weapons, our spray bottles of of uh our devices, and we started spraying right from the get-go. And then we went into the area uh just briefly because we did it later. We didn't we we go to the concession area?
SPEAKER_00We did that. We went behind the curtains because it was an old theater where there were curtains on the side walls. We went up to the projection room. Yeah, we went all over.
SPEAKER_01The last the la the big place we went was upstairs.
SPEAKER_00That was the balcony and the projection room.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, if you had to call an area the the quote unquote center of energy, the scene of the crime or all that, it would have been that area.
SPEAKER_00That was where the murder had occurred.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and we had it it took a it took what was it? Was it three licks back and forth in and out? It it took a while. Not a bit, yeah. But because we weren't we weren't that we weren't gonna stay that long.
SPEAKER_00No, we all we wanted to do is we wanted to make sure that we stayed clean and brought nothing out with us.
SPEAKER_01Yes, and if if at all possible to it's almost impossible to get rid of stuff like that, but you can box it up, you can sequester it. It's like giving it an uh an astral etheric timeout that can last ages, eons, and whatever, because we're beyond time here. But it took both of what we do combined with just the energy. Now I had because I'd studied magic a lot of years, so I had different little hand signs, and you had basically the your your familial uh force stubbornness and focused rage at don't you dare do this to uh to any any innocent party. That's right. Between the between the two of us, we got it, we got it cleaned out. It it wasn't pristine, but it's a lot like cleaning a really, really dirty house. You're not gonna get everything up, there'll be stains here and there, but we did more for zero money, right? And zero and zero recognition, and zero recognition, which is what we always ask for. Zero recognition. Right. We wanted nothing and we got it, and we got it in the butt uh but did it, and also we were able to go back down the stairs and clear there and do another lick at the concession stand. Part of the problem later was that the people who were running uh the theater and and such had their own issues.
SPEAKER_00Yes, they did.
SPEAKER_01And nothing like what was going on in the theater. But what that did, it didn't bring all that back, but it brought in another layer of yush.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it in years later, Don uh our cousins had sold the place to the people, these people that Linda was just talking about. And Don and I went in there for something, and stuff was slowly, it wasn't the same stuff, but it was just like stuff was slowly creeping in again. Um, you and I had actually been to a funeral there once. Now that was difficult because uh things were things were feeding on the sadness of the people who were at the funeral.
SPEAKER_01They were when we first came in, was all various parts of the family, and I I took all the young and I stood them up and I basically marinated them with oaks. And I I went in later because I had reasons to not even want to be there, so oh yeah, but it uh what the original stuff was in a form of abeyance, but when you get other things in that aren't taken care of regularly, fishy stuff, it feeds the old stuff, and so stuff had kind of it's kind of like somebody who has a hoarder house and it gets cleaned. They you go in and then you you clean it up, and then later little bits of stuff start coming up.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the dust, the dust settles again. But it was it was interesting, and the the whole point behind this is Linda does make spook shoe usually about once a year, and that it will be coming up again.
SPEAKER_01And the energetic clearing spray, and we found out from our adventures in this that those things actually work and really and I I actually take because I'm the one that generally bottles it, and if you mix the two of them together, it makes really an interesting good cleaning spray if you mix the two together.
SPEAKER_00But anyway, if you are local, if you are local in the in the United States, uh let us know. There might be some left. Usually it gets called out pretty quick.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. One one last thing. The name spookshoe is very, very old. It's not mine. This is a very old family recipe, not from my immediate biological family. And I have been entrusted with it. But the the uh the name spook shoe is very old. It's it's older than a couple centuries. Let's just put it that way.
SPEAKER_00It's older than dirt, yes.
SPEAKER_01Older than dirt, but uh, but no, those those things are out there, and Sandy's energetic clearing spray is really good when you do want to do what we're talking about now, which is to clean up to sparkle, to sparkle your energy at home because it's fall now.
SPEAKER_00There we go. So I have just one more thing, and I wanted to talk about one stone for clearing negative energies either away from you or away from a room. And the stone is called kunzite, K-U-N-Z-I-T-E. Comes in pinks, blues, lavenders, sometimes all of them, because it's a trichroak type thing. And um, that is a stone that dissolves negativity. So if you have just been in a fight and you have a kunzite necklace or ring, it will dissolve the negativity around you. If you have, if you've had it in a, let's say, a fight. The the one my parents, if they the room they had fought in, really could have used kunzite that time, a chunk of kunzite on the t on one of the end tables, would have dissolved the negativity very, very well. Um, it's not hard to find uh the poor quality, it's not and it's not that expensive. Good quality is extremely expensive, but uh it works very well and it doesn't gum up easily and it just dissolves negativity. So that's another thing that you can actually use on your person or in a room.
SPEAKER_01So one one question with that, with all of the uh really, really odd and not necessarily uh balanced energies that we've got going on astrologically and other things, all of the anger and such building up all how how would it be if a person had quincyte in the home or carried it with them or did something.
SPEAKER_00This is going to work basically for if you've been in an altercation with someone close. It's going to work on whatever happened in in another building or whatever. This is a personal clearing stone or your personal house clearing stone. But that's you'd you'd need an awful big chunk to do a building or to do uh something astrologically, but it is a nice one, like I say, and it's a very beautiful stone. So, yeah, but but it's a good personal one.
SPEAKER_01So well, that that's that's wonderful, and down the line we will get into other adventures with with other topics, just like cleaning, because we have many stories, and we're not afraid to tell them either.
SPEAKER_00That's right, that's right. Most of the people we talk about are dead anyway. And we're not afraid of them because we've got spook shoe and clearing spray.
SPEAKER_01So there they're dead, but they ain't gone.
SPEAKER_00They ain't gone. All right, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Well, here we are, kids, at the end of yet another episode of Two Dozy Brads. So go thou into thy world and clean, especially clean the energies. Those cosmic energetic cooties are worse than dust bunnies and old tuna fish cans. And we remain. I'm Sandy from Gemological Esoterica. And I'm Linda Strochane of the Mercury Academy, and we still are two dozy dozy. Goodbye.
