A joyous February to all, the month of love, or so they say. But who is they? That's right. Who are these people? They never come out in the daytime, so we never meet them. Don, our producer, is just back from warmer climbs, and so he actually has color on his, which is amazing. Gary is listening to us as attentively as ever. And Blaze remains beautiful. Yes, she does. And I am Sandy from Gemological Esoterica. And I am Linda Strochane from the Mercury Academy, and we are two dozy broads.
SPEAKER_00So uh let's see. I'm doing this. I'm doing this part. Well, it's been it's been a long time. If anybody knew it's been a really hard couple days of that involved a hospital, I would like to start out this month's podcast with some information about Chinese New Year, which is kind of a fang shui type thing. Yes, it is. And technically, this is the 2026 is the year of the fire horse. Oh, good. And the cycles come around. There's 12, there's 12 animals.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00And then there's like five different elements earth, air, fire, blah, blah, blah. So each one goes around, and so every 60 years. So if this happens to be uh your 60th birthday, you have now made it around the Chinese zodiac one time. Hey. Now when are you tired? Boy, well, you know, you're horse, so you should be doing a little better. So I just want to talk about a few things for generally Chinese New Year, New Year in general. You could extrapolate this out to Western New Year if you chose. And I just a few things I do every year. The first thing um I like to do is clean the house as best I can. Right. Maybe you can't do the whole house, maybe you can just do one room or whatever it is. But pick up stuff, throw the used cleans away, get rid of the clutter, take the, you know, actually turn on the dishwasher, get things cleaned, and put it away.

SPEAKER_00Put something in the dishwasher. But in and again, it doesn't have to be this great big huge thing, but try and get rid of the clutter, try and get rid of broken things, things you don't need anymore. If you have clothes and things like that, this is a time to donate it. Like who wherever your local donation spot is to people that need it. Believe me, with things going on right now, a lot of people need it. Yes. Um, so like give away the things you don't want or whatever, however, it works. Now, you've got to be a little bit careful this year because fire horse energy is volatile. Ah. And the the water, there's a water element, there's a there's a chart almost like an astrology chart that gets put out each year. It looks different. The water element is entirely missing from this year's chart. This means that resources, i.e. money, will be limited and it will be difficult to bring matters to a successful conclusion. People are going to be competing with each other, and there will be much backstabbing, even among friends and family. Oh, yeah. So you've got to be really careful this year. And it will be a very fast and ever-changing year. And technically, uh in the Chinese countries, they they celebrated February 4th every year. The actual date it starts, though, is it was February 17th, so about a week ago.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00And you will notice already how things have been moving very, very quickly. Yes, they have deteriorated with great speed. Yes, they have. So it is going to be a fast moving and ever-changing year. But if you get the timing right and if you have one or two very close trusted friends or partners, you do have a good chance of having a successful year.
SPEAKER_01So you also probably have to really apply yourself.
SPEAKER_00You can't just give it this is not a the slack. Half-assed effort was not a slacker's year. Oh. And the thing is now fire horse ears really aren't really well known for fire horse people aren't really good for finding mates and things like that. There's a lot of volatility going on. So um I I really don't want to talk about love and romance and things like that. Uh some of the signs we'll find some, we'll we'll find some good things, but uh, these are the basic things I wanted to talk about for the year.
SPEAKER_01But it sounds like it comes down to just do the things that you need to do to the best of your ability and try not to flip off.
SPEAKER_00Don't overextend your resources if you have if you have, let's say, a thousand dollars in the bank, don't spend nine hundred of it on uh fake nails or whatever it is.

SPEAKER_00Right up, whatever it is that turns it that turns your crank. Don't do it. This is a year that if money is going to will easily slip out of your hands. There's a lot, a lot of things going on. Okay. So be very careful, you know, be very circumspect with your money. Be very circumspect with your friends. So you don't take anybody for granted. No, no. Just because they've been good up to now doesn't mean what is this year good for? Aside from annoyance. Well, there there are some possibilities to make money. Oh, good. And uh there are certain signs, I don't have it in front of me, that actually will find romance this year. Well, people can look it up. People can look it up, yes. And uh like I say, it's it'll be an interesting year. May you live in interesting times.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, the old curse, yes.
SPEAKER_00But yeah, but that's I just wanted to mention a few things. If you're really interested in it, there's lots of information online. Look up the year of the fire horse. You will find much information.
SPEAKER_01Yes, and a lot of it is is pretty good too, so that's nice, also. Oh uh, all right. Now I would like to talk about a few astrological aspects, or is that issues, for the month and beyond, to infinity and beyond. Okay, on March 3rd, because we're moving ahead, we have a total lunar eclipse, or a total lunar eclipse, as the case may be. It's at 12 degrees 54 minutes of Virgo. Now, what you'll find with this is that a long-held old cycle will end during this period, and in light of the Chinese New Year, it will probably end fragmentedly. In other words, this part will end well. This part will be like the Hindenburg and crash. And there'll be a part of it that doesn't end at all. Exactly. And then there'll be the ongoing story, the never-ending story. And so you you can't expect to absolutely put a pin in something. Now, the effect of a lunar eclipse is just for that month. Okay. But there is that old song. The song is ended, but the melody lingers on. So the things you do at that point will will manifest forward. Look at your chart and see where you have 12 degrees, 54 minutes of Virgo. That is the house where you will experience the greatest effect. You have to be tough with yourself and you have to give up something that doesn't work. Even if you love it, or if you say, geez, I put so much time into this, I just have to keep going. Well, how do you know it's not working? Well, if you haven't, if it hasn't been achieved. Okay. If you've got if you've got uh a project that keeps being almost but not quite. Okay. It isn't that you run away from it. Okay. It's just that you say, all right, if I've brought this to where it is right now, I have to put it off to one side. This can no longer be the central focus of my life. Okay. And this can be with a project, a person, something like that. Okay. Sometimes you just have to take your fingers away and let it be. And the Virgo wants to get in there and say, no, but if I just move it this little bit, or if I bring in this extra piece of information, or do this or do that. You can do that if you want, go ahead. But don't expect instant relief. Okay. But this is a period this next month from March into early April where people will be picky.
SPEAKER_00Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_01And you add that into that fire horse stuff. Oh dear God. Also, pressure is going to be popping up big time in one area of life. That's why you look and see where which house you have it in. Let go of hyper self-criticism. There's there's one area where each of us is really beating up on yourselves. You have to let it go. And you use, as you mentioned, decluttering, use it as a form of release. And even if you can't change a relationship, you can say, I'm getting rid of this, and as I get rid of it, I'm not carrying the burden of Claude anymore or Erno or whoever it might be. Also, uh there will be, I guess you'd have to call them faded and karmic changes going on, where we look at ourselves and our where we live and the country and the world, and we say there are certain things going on, or destiny is just playing one of its merry pranks. And those are the things you can't control, but you can you can you can be in command of your reaction to it. You can have a response, not a reaction. So don't just run for cover. Also, on the yeah, also on the 8th of March, we have Saturn, the planet of discipline and daddy and all of that. Conjunct, meaning very close to Venus. Now, Venus not only is women in your life, but it's also money, how you deal with money, that sort of thing. A very great astrologer, Carol Perkins, said that you'll never go wrong by reading Venus's money. And that's on March 8th, but it the effect of it goes on for several months. Reality will land all over our lives. It's like smack, it just lands on like a water balloon. Yeah, relationships. Also, there's this where each of us will have a sense we need to grow up again. And we will not want to do, I don't want to grow up some more. And uh remember with your friends and and workers, co-workers too, do not be abrupt. Ground your stuff, get it uh, get it a foundation as best you can. Now is not the time to invest heavily in the dream. It just sounds like it's very it very much ties in. They all go together. Fire horses. They all go together. And one one last bit Mercury is still in retrograde. As we said, I think last month, if you figure that all of February and all of March is Mercury retrograde, you're not gonna go for the rest of the year. God, it'll feel like that. And if you screw up something, it's gonna take you the rest of the year to figure out. And that's in Pisces. Promise little or nothing. There is a difference between someone giving their word that they'll do something and actively changing their behavior to live the changes. So notice the difference. It will be easier that way. And what would February be without a silly family story? Which we need at this point. We need light, we need light.
SPEAKER_00Well, you know how we always kind of do tie in the family stuff? Oh, yeah. Um this this dates back to uh back in 2005, my parents had to move out of their home. They're they were quite elderly. And um, I had taken my dad to Target because I think it was her birthday coming up, and he wanted to get her a card. And my mother used to rave about the cards that my father gave her.
SPEAKER_01She'd go to a sewing club and just talk about it.
SPEAKER_00Oh, she would just, oh my god, and blah blah blah. And he'd never write anything other than maybe your lover or whatever. Two, you know, maybe maybe lover boy. He never even wrote Lloyd. It was just this is it was just what he did. Yeah, he made a mark in it. He made a mark. This is he had very beautiful handwriting. Yes, he did. He did, but anyway, so I took him to Target and he's looking at the cards, he's looking at the birthday cards, and you know, the whole Hallmark section at the time, blah, blah, blah. And he picks up this one card and he goes, Okay. And I go, uh, how do you pick out Ma's always? I said, When you know, how am I going to know how to pick out cards for my mother? And he goes and he says, Two things. He goes, the first, it's gotta be blue. My mother loved blue. She did. Everything was blue. Yes, it was. And he goes, secondly, it gotta have a lot of words. And so he picks out this card. I swear to you, it looked like an eight by eleven sheet of paper, and it was full of blue flowers and all this stuff, and it was like there was like a whole, a whole half a short story on the inside. And and he goes and we get we get back to the house and he goes and he signs it, Your Lover. Yeah. And he puts it in and he doesn't even, he just writes Ma on the front of the card. Yeah. And gives it to her, and she opens it up for her birthday, and she is in tears because he's and I'm looking at him and he's looking at me and he does this. He puts his his finger in front of his mouth.
SPEAKER_01Don't tell her, don't tell her. You figured it out. So in it at that point in his life, he figured he could pass on the mystery.
SPEAKER_00But the thing is, is that but I never because it was they were that was their deal. Yes, it was. That was their deal because I don't even give Don cards. I mean, I don't know. We we don't do that much anymore. The thing is, is that you pay eight bucks for what? You know, and you go, yeah, fine, whatever. You know, it wasn't like my mother that used to say there was this whole stack of blue cards with a lot of words. Exactly. I remember you and I went through those. We did the week a lot of words. The week the week she died. We we went through all that stuff, yeah. And and yeah, but anyway. That's just amazing. It was so now we have come to the end of our ramblings for this month. And people hope so. Yeah, yeah, but they're happy about that. We hope you've got something, hopefully something positive from our typically demented podcast. We sure hope so.
