Episode 37. Matt Burdick of Desert Edge Brewing
In our first episode of 2023, we sit down with Matt Burdick, head brewer of Desert Edge Brewing in Salt Lake City, UT. Matt discusses the history of Desert Edge Brewing at the pub. Which is 50 years+ in business as a pub and going on 30 years as a brewery. We discuss the brews that Matt enjoys as he had a pint ready for us to try and get started with. Matt discusses his home brewing history. We also discuss the experience he has gained as he's been around the craft beer industry for decades. We get into the beer schedule for 2023 and working on new releases. Matt talks about the costs of goods rising the past couple of years and how that factors into pricing.
This was a fun episode and we're glad to kick off 2023 with a legacy brewery like Desert Edge.
