We are all here with a purpose. For many of us, it's about assisting in restoring balance to our world. The masculine and feminine energies of this planet must return to a sacred synergy, for us to survive these challenging times. We are also on the verge of a shift in consciousness.
It's been established that the masculine paradigm was created for our human survival. But we've moved past that into a state of regression. It's time to engage with the Divine Feminine and escalate a paradigm shift so we can create a New Earth.
This episode details what the Divine Feminine represents. How it's an integral part of human history, and what we can do to move it into our lives and change our world for the better.
In this season of love, the gate is open with receptivity. Our task is to use this energy to shine more light into every heart to awaken and remember who we really are. It's possible, if we make a commitment and take the lead.

Season 4 EP13 — Restoring Sacred Balance
Hello, I’m your Host Riverann. And this is Heart Sense. A podcast for aligning, strengthening, and opening our hearts to a frequency of love that heals ourselves and our planet. Thank you for being here.
The music you’re listening to is from one of my favorite musicians, Tyler Carson. You can find a link to his music in the Show Notes. And an online by going to fiddlerontherock.com where you can also find his performance schedule. He’s totally magic and worth seeing in person!
For decades we’ve been hearing references to the Divine Feminine or the Goddess energy. Some see it as simply New Age buzzwords. However it’s a spiritual concept referring to a sacred feminine energy within all of us. It’s the counterpart to a divine masculine energy which represents logic, productivity, strength.
The Divine Feminine is not about gender. It represents the living energy of compassion, creativity, wisdom, and receptivity. This energy is necessary and complimentary to our masculine energy. These two synergistic forces exist in every life form for balance and harmony on this planet. Connecting our bodies with nature’s cycles of creation and transformation.
It’s presence has been recognized in women throughout the world. For example, in Christianity The Virgin Mary represents purity, grace, and divine motherly love. While Mary Magdalene symbolizes hope, redemption, and the power of divine grace. In Judaism Shekhinah represented the feminine aspect of God.
Native Americans believe that Great Spirit or the Creator brought the universe into existence; and is part of everything in the natural world. That he assigned male and female deities to finish creating… and become its guardians. Dozens of goddesses from various tribes, explain the energy and spirit of their traditions, journeys, and tribal beliefs. From Earth Mother to Spider Woman and White Buffalo Calf Woman they personify individual gifts that taught them how to survive and live in harmony with the world.
In Hinduism, Durga and Kali represent fierce forms of the supreme mother goddess. Durga was a benevolent warrior goddess who restored balance and protected the world from evil forces. While Kali’s purpose was to destroy internal and external demons, including fear and the ego. She was tasked with assisting humanity with the cycles of birth and death.
In Buddhism it was Tara and five wisdom Dakinis. Tara is known as the mother of all Buddhas, and acts as a savior for beings in need. Dakinis are female deities who embody fierce empowered feminine energy that act as guides, messengers and guardians of spiritual practices.
Greek mythology introduced the olympians Aphrodite and Demeter. Aphrodite was the goddess of love, beauty, desire and procreation. While Demeter was the goddess of agriculture and harvest — also symbols of nurturing, and health.
In the Egyptian era it was Isis and Hathor. Isis was the goddess of magic, wisdom, healing, and motherhood. Hathor was the goddess of joy, love, music and celebration. And in Celtic mythology, it was Brigid known as the exalted one who later became a saint in Christianity. She was the goddess of poetry, healing, fertility, and fire. And Morrison, another Celtic goddess, presided over war, fate, and sovereignty— protecting the king or leader of the land.
As you can see these women and mythological figures represented different aspects of the Divine feminine. Which has been historically documented in cultures around the world. It’s not a new concept or buzzword. Rather a call to re-invite these aspects of ourselves into our daily lives for personal empowerment.
Because before the world was ruled by kings and empires it was wrapped in the energy of the Divine Feminine. This one sacred essence is viewed as the cosmic healer connected to all life on this planet. And all you have to do to see this is peruse the historical records of humanity’s history.
Reawakening the Divine Feminine within us involves self awareness. We can only achieve transformation when we awaken from separation — both within ourselves and others. It requires consciously practicing stillness, listening, creative expression, connection, and courage to reclaim this innate knowledge and recognize our divine power.
Embracing it can lead to strength with gentle movements, like water moving rocks as it reroutes a river. It’s centering ourselves so the voice is never absent from our decisions. Integrating this energy into life is balance, that nudges us into healing, personal empowerment, leadership, and loving connections.
Jane Goodall said, “We are part of an extraordinary species! And we will only achieve our true potential when our heads and hearts are working together.”
So as we enter a season acknowledging the desire for peace and goodwill. Let’s remember how we get there. First, never believe a prediction that doesn’t empower you. Feeling disabled is refusing to creatively adapt to changing circumstances. It’s not speaking your truth and caving to pressure from the beliefs of others. And sometimes it’s simply not recognizing your gifts or your role as a moral compass in changing unacceptable rules of behavior.
I’ve found that control is an illusion. We have no control over anything but our responses to life and our relationships. However, opening ourselves to the unknown. And taking chances we are intuitively led to take; reveal the purpose of the journey. When we agree to give ourselves permission to explore life as it unveils itself to us. Our thoughts and feelings integrate into one defining message where we clearly see the truth. And it’s often not what we thought it was!
Because somewhere in our personal history we shut down and buried things that were painful, but meant to help us grow. And when we did that, the story became convoluted and misfiled in our brain. Because, our hearts didn’t have equal time for assessment. You can tell when a person has healed their past when they no longer need to tell the story. I know from personal experience.
So when we embrace the Divine Feminine and allow it to be as present and vocal as anything else we were trained to believe would save us from harm. There’s a shift so big that it changes our lives permanently.
When you look at the qualities given to each of the feminine archetypes we see throughout history. Don’t you want to develop those you feel you may embody as your strengths? They are your spiritual allies. But ignored they simply become lost gifts. It’s important we see the beauty, love, and fiercely powerful traits we have embedded within our hearts that have been ignored as assets.
Why did the Dali Lama say that the western woman would save the world? Because the western hemisphere is where freedom was birthed. And the qualities of the Divine Feminine are what is called for today, to resolve the problems we’ve facing globally.
The Divine Masculine gifts of logic, productivity, and strength are not merely tools of the past. They’re a vehicle to propel a new feminine paradigm that will return us to balance.
But addictions, like old paradigms don’t leave willingly. They kick and scream trying to justify themselves as necessary for survival. But that’s true only if we want to control on our present path. I think we can all agree that direction isn’t working for us anymore. It’s become polluted with greed, power and control. None of which are a recipe for happiness, or equality that generates respect and reverence for life and the individual.
I’m thinking right now about the Hindu goddess Kali. Who’s purpose included destroying our internal demons like fear and ego. Her assisting humanity with the cycles of birth and death. I think we’ll in such a cycle. Our responsibility as women is to steer the boat a new direction. For men it’s making sure we have the power and strength to propel this movement forward. Make no mistake we all have a role to play in escorting in change.
So let’s engage in ceremonies of remembrance for who we are, what we came to do, and how we’re going to arrive at our destination. How do we do this? By supporting one another in love, that will bridge our differences. By seeing the humanity of every person regardless of their gender, age, race, culture, or circumstances. And by looking at how our own thoughts and feelings may have channeled our actions, in ways that are not moving humanity forward.
The energies of this season of love can and will support us doing this. We only have to make the commitment. Because everyone on this planet has suffered trauma. It’s affected our lives in ways we may not have noticed changed us.
But if we look at our children, or the unconditional love we receive from our animals. We’ll remember that our birthright is love… only love. It’s what every master has taught, and where religion has failed us. We are not by nature sinful. We are a manifestation of the creative energy in our lives, where the Divine Feminine is our fiercest defender.
Let your evolutionary wisdom, your intuition and compassion serve as you guides and messengers. It’s your Heart Sense my friends!
