For episode 13, we catch up with off road riding coach and Har Enduro veteran Chris Birch! If you know who Chris is, then you know how stoked we were to be able to sit down with him for the podcast, but if not, here are the Coles notes:
Chris has won the NZ Enduro Championships 8 times, competed successfully in many of the worlds biggest enduro races such as Erzberg, Red Bull Last Man Standing, Hell’s Gate, ISDE, WEC and EEC. He’s Won Roof of Africa 3 times, finished Red Bull Romaniacs 10 times with multiple podiums and an overall win in 2010, 27th overall in the 2012 Dakar and is now considered one of, if not the best off road riding coach on the planet….KTM seems to think so as well, as Chris is their KTM Adventure Bike Ambassador and regularly travels the world representing KTM and their amazing line of Adventure bikes. What Chris is able to do on the big bikes these days is nothing less Tham mind blowing!
So join us as we get an inside look at Chris’ career in the enduro world and what it was like being at there at the beginning of what is now called Hard or Extreme Enduro, as well as an exclusive announcement from Chris on his latest endeavour… hint: It involves his newly acquire KTM 500 ;)
