FAMILY FUN FRIDAYS: A FAMILY GRATITUDE PRACTICE, A CLASSIC STORY TO ENCOURAGE ALTRUISM, AND A LOVELY SONG
Hopefully, you tuned into Tuesday's episode where we spoke about gratitude journaling and the benefits we can reap from putting this practice into our routines. So this weekend we want to share how you can encourage your kids to participate.
Gratitude should be practiced at a consistent time of day depending on your family schedule and can be done in different ways.
Here are some examples:
- Gratitude walks
- Speaking gratitude (i.e. go around the table at breakfast or dinner time, calling someone when you receive a gift in the mail)
- Writing gratitude (i.e. gratitude journal, gratitude jar, gratitude tree, writing thank you cards and sending them in the mail)

- Decreases stress
- Increases sense of emotional well being
- Builds self-esteem
- Improves physical well being
- Lessens anxiety and depression
- Lowers aggressive tendencies
