Timothy (DM):

my Hot Hi.

Timothy (DM):

Uhhh, we are ever watchful. Shadows slither and coil, ensneering the feeble threads of humanity's sanity. We revel in the dance of their fragile souls, for we are the architects of their darkest nightmares, the weavers of despair, as they stumble through the labyrinth of their own fares. They are blind to the truth that we are their constant lurking companions, whispering malevolence into the depths of their minds. Welcome back, my fiendish friends. We are delighted to have you joining us once again for another thrilling episode of Shadows of Prophecy. Brace yourselves for a journey full of magic, adventure and spine-tingling horror, as our heroes delve deeper into the truth of their reality and begin to unravel the mysteries surrounding the void. So grab your favourite snack, get cozy and prepare yourselves as we embark on this exciting journey together With us. Today, we have… oh that's me.

Dan (Wren):

Hi, I'm Dan. I am playing the mostly human little bit, elf, scholar and rogue, and member of a polyamorous thruple question mark with Sal, because our boyfriends are spliced together, so we're clear.

Chris (Sal):

Hi there, my name is Chris. I'm playing the tiefling cleric who's willing to tackle any man, woman or child to uncover the truth. Sal Sal Rose.

Russell (Upri):

Hi, I'm Russell. I'm playing Uppry the half-work barbarian and she is painfully single AF.

Yonce:

And I am Kai, and I am playing the half-elf warlock Yonsei Bei, who, ooh child, still has a lot to discuss.

Timothy (DM):

Ooh, as we immerse ourselves in the shadows of prophecy. Be warned for this tale explores the darkest corners of the human soul and psyche, where the line between good and evil is blurred and unspeakable horrors linger in every shadow. Our story is not for the faint of heart, for it will not only bring us to mysterious lands, but have us walk down treacherous paths with unforeseen dangers, as our heroes, who are always not virtuous, confront villains who are not always wicked. That is a weird way for me to say that, as the prophecy unfolds and the fate of the world hangs in the balance, only one thing is certain Nothing is as it seems. So stay sharp, ready yourselves, and we might just make it through all of this together as our heroes continue to pull back the veil.

Timothy (DM):

Shadows of Prophecy is a Dungeons Dragons actual playcast with violent themes and adult language. Listener discretion is advised. Join us today as we enter the Shadows of Prophecy, act 2, behind the Veil, chapter 14, tinder to the Flame. Previously on Shadows of Prophecy, a black hole conjured by the barred Alice in a subterranean monastery sucked our heroes into a pocket dimension with not one, not two, but three… no wait, only two. Dead boyfriends enjoying a decadent meal, ren, sensing some magical bullshit was afoot, immediately leapt across the dining table, plunging his dagger into the doppelganger's breast. As much to his surprise, the figure dropped the illusion to reveal it was in fact his dead boyfriend Wesley, or at least one half of him, that had been stitched together with half of Salvador's ex love Desmond in a sort of grotesque golem with smoky black crystals embedded in their skulls. The creature's left head recited a very sappy, very terrible love poem, removing any of Ren's doubt that this was indeed the true Wesley.

Timothy (DM):

When tackled and bound by Salvador for answers, Alice explained that in her travels she had uncovered a book in an abandoned temple regarding the demigoddess Freya and that she is the key to understanding the recent void outbreaks.

Timothy (DM):

Freya, whose consciousness also resides in the Hunkenstein monster, recounted that she once was a mortal who had signed a contract, before dying, to avert the world-ending cataclysm, essentially resetting a 1000-year cycle controlled potentially by the Titans. After a long time of uncoiling all of this lore, the heroes resolved to seek out Cyril in a hidden source user's stronghold called the Underkeep, which lies in the heart of the enchanted forest. Stepping out of the extraordinary extra-dimensional Tea Party, the party rejoined their friends Akilah, beefcake, bran, zaheer and Tenebe outside of Hero. As they oversaw the refugee's migration to the quarry, the gang warned them that the quarry likely isn't safe anymore and to seek shelter anywhere. But there Ren gets a fancy new sword, the refugees get a pleasant night's rest and the now-disguised Desleia, which will be the name of the power couple of Desmond Wesley and Freya moving forward, joins the quintet on their journey to Uppery and Yance's home in the enchanted forest.

Yonce:

I still think they should be called Ruth. It's easier.

Dan (Wren):

Why Rai-Rud?

Chris (Sal):

Just because they can find their name at a gift shop on one of those trinkets.

Yonce:

Exactly. They get a little key chain from the enchanted forest. Yeah.

Dan (Wren):

Prodowns we were. I love that.

Timothy (DM):

Oh gosh.

Yonce:

Mess, messy.

Timothy (DM):

So y'all wanted some combat after talking so much last session, so everybody roll initiative.

Dan (Wren):

Yes, I get to stab things with my fun new sword. What.

Russell (Upri):

My initial sucks.

Yonce:

I got an eight, I got an eight I'm going to be an influencer. Today I got an eight An eight.

Dan (Wren):

I mean, I guess I didn't roll that bad. My modifier is bad For decks.

Yonce:

Oh, I forgot about my modifier.

Timothy (DM):

Oh, it's true.

Yonce:

So I actually got a 12.

Timothy (DM):

12,. Okay, so we've got 12 for Yance.

Yonce:

There are many men of yellow 11.

Timothy (DM):

11 for Yance. Math is hard this morning y'all. What's up? Ria 16. 16. Okay.

Dan (Wren):

Ren, what was it 15.

Timothy (DM):

15?

Chris (Sal):

Okay, Salvador I got three, oh beautiful.

Timothy (DM):

And to start us off, you all have been traveling through the Enchanted Forest for a couple days now, and it's as if the forest itself has turned against you. This was your home last you checked Upper Yance. Usually you're not given this type of reception, but something has changed and, as a result, you now find yourself head to head with a leshy, a guardian of the forest. It's hulking body looms over you as you see the vines twisting in the shrubbery surrounding a small clearing in the middle of the Enchanted Forest.

Yonce:

Did Nem Nem forget to pay the forest bill? It's the deck collector.

Timothy (DM):

I don't know if that's how that works yeah.

Timothy (DM):

All right. So on initiative count 20, because this thing has layer action, whoa.

Russell (Upri):

But wait, is it hot?

Timothy (DM):

Is it hot like sexy?

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, what is that?

Timothy (DM):

I mean, it really depends on your definition of sexy but, it is a large kind of a melgom of twisted vines and wood kind of wrapped together to form a core body, but then it has long tendrile branches and vines that shoot out. It digs some of those into the ground and you actually see as it shoves its right arm type appendage into the ground. You feel the ground start to rumble around you and then it bursts out right in the middle of your party. I need you all to make a. Let's see, this is a beautiful, this is a dexterity. Save.

Chris (Sal):

Great.

Dan (Wren):

Oh wait, that's actually not too bad.

Yonce:

So I got a 14.

Dan (Wren):

I also got a 14.

Timothy (DM):

A 14, beautiful A 14 will potentially save, and the answer is no Fuck. So anybody with a 16 or lower.

Dan (Wren):

I think that's all. I think it's 20.

Timothy (DM):

Wow, Well is going to become grappled at the start of this combat. How fun for you all. So these branches shoot out and, as it like, crashes up through the earth below you. You see that the vines start to split. They're growing at this like rapid pace, and four different vines shoot out towards you, wrapping themselves around. Yance Salvador and Ren Uppery is able to swat them away with Fern, and the three of you have become grappled. Now it is actually the Lushies turn.

Russell (Upri):

Oh shit, bullshit.

Timothy (DM):

So we are going to start the day off with two claw attacks which it is going to make on Ren and Salvador. Excellent, which I think it has advantage on because it is you are grappled by it. So it is going to crit on Ren.

Dan (Wren):

Excellent, perfect.

Timothy (DM):

We love this and does a. Oh my gosh does a 27 hit.

Russell (Upri):

Oh my god, this bitch. Well, we are going to have final season losing people.

Yonce:

Final episode you all are going to do combat.

Timothy (DM):

So, like we are going to do, combat, you all have had long rests, you have all your spells, you have your full. Hp until just now, when we crit on Ren.

Chris (Sal):

We have the five HP now.

Dan (Wren):

Oh yeah, do we have five extra HP?

Timothy (DM):

That will do me really well. You do have five extra HP.

Dan (Wren):

How much does that put me back?

Timothy (DM):

So I am going to roll 48 plus four.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, it might not be that bad. Where?

Timothy (DM):

can we really get that? So we have got three plus 10. 13 plus four is 17. That's it. So you're going to take 17 slashing damage, we're fine. Salvador is going to take just the 2d8 plus four, which is going to be 12 plus four is 16. Somehow more, even without a crit, all right, and that is going to bring us to Uppery.

Russell (Upri):

How far away is it?

Timothy (DM):

So the creature itself is 60 feet away. The vines that have your party members grappled are within melee distance.

Russell (Upri):

I see what you did there, I remember how to fight. I remember this character. I get how many of them. Okay, so three people, I get three attacks. I'm going to pull out my hand axes and just start hacking everyone free.

Timothy (DM):

All right, make some attack rolls.

Yonce:

That's really nice of you so kind.

Dan (Wren):

All right, start with me, please, okay Ren.

Russell (Upri):

Ren is a math. 15 to hit Ren's vines.

Timothy (DM):

A 15 will not do it.

Timothy (DM):

Okay.

Russell (Upri):

Can I just pull them?

Timothy (DM):

You can attempt to make a strength save to pull him from the vines, correct, cool?

Russell (Upri):

And that would just be one action.

Timothy (DM):

That'd be an action.

Russell (Upri):

Okay, good luck y'all, and.

Timothy (DM):

I'm just going to run at the Lushie and I'm going to throw my hand axe at it. So as you begin to run towards the Lushie, you start to realize that there are vines rippling across the surface of the ground in this area, where its root burst through in a radius of 60 feet. Wow, and it is now difficult terrain. So you start running towards the Lushie, and what is your speed?

Russell (Upri):

40.

Timothy (DM):

40. So you can make it 20 with your regular movement.

Russell (Upri):

Yep.

Timothy (DM):

Which would put you 40 feet away from the Lushie.

Russell (Upri):

Perfect, I'm throwing a hand axe at it with disadvantage Beautiful.

Timothy (DM):

Make that attack.

Russell (Upri):

That is a four and, yep, that is a four plus seven, which is a math problem. It does an 11 hit.

Timothy (DM):

So 11 does not hit, unfortunately. Perfect.

Russell (Upri):

Where does my axe land?

Timothy (DM):

Near the creature Outside of melee distance. If you were to go pick it up, you wouldn't be taking an attack of opportunity.

Russell (Upri):

All right, we get a 46. The 46. Oh no, it's magical.

Timothy (DM):

How close?

Russell (Upri):

is it to the 10 feet?

Timothy (DM):

It's within the 5 to 10 foot range. Cool.

Russell (Upri):

So within that 10 foot radius, a cloud of 600 oversize butterflies fills a 30 foot radius centered on that target. The area becomes heavily obscured. The butterflies remain for 10 minutes, so there are butterflies around the Lushie now.

Chris (Sal):

Yeah, it's completely engulfed. It can't see us.

Timothy (DM):

I don't know. It's heavily obscured, which means any attacks through the. It's effectively fog cloud.

Russell (Upri):

With giant butterflies Giant butterflies.

Timothy (DM):

Asia O'Hara is shaking.

Dan (Wren):

Bigger than our heads.

Russell (Upri):

Right, yes.

Timothy (DM):

Asia so effectively. It is heavily obscured, so all attacks at the Lushie's core body will be at disadvantage and vice versa out of the cloud will be made at disadvantage.

Russell (Upri):

I'm helping, I am my turn.

Chris (Sal):

And it does not have any sort of like blind sense or I was going to say that, yeah, it's like you could tremor sense or whatever.

Timothy (DM):

It does not have tremor sense, cool, so it will also have disadvantage on any attacks unless it moves outside that cloud. What is the radius? 30. 30 feet Wow.

Russell (Upri):

Not the. Oh my God, yes.

Timothy (DM):

That's a lot of Six feet across Fucking butterflies. Wait, am I in?

Russell (Upri):

the butterflies.

Dan (Wren):

I'm 40 feet away. You're 40 feet away. So no, you're like 10 feet away from giant butterflies. Yeah, like 10 feet away from a giant butterfly's dorm. How?

Timothy (DM):

beautiful.

Russell (Upri):

This is a gorgeous.

Dan (Wren):

You're in the enchanted forest.

Timothy (DM):

You hear like birds chirping. There's this like faint, like sparkle, glitter effect on all of the enchanted forest, because it's like magic shit. And then there's these gorgeous giant, just like beautifully exotic butterflies, just flapping around the storm of color.

Russell (Upri):

And then and then. This is where I friendly reminder butterflies pee almost every time they land, so that she probably has lots of butterflies.

Dan (Wren):

Wet, wet, wet, I love it.

Yonce:

Kiki Palmer did a photo shoot.

Chris (Sal):

She was like oh, new fact. I love facts. They pee a lot. It's actually a really fun fact.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, oh, my gosh, is that your turn up Ray?

Russell (Upri):

And then it was going to be. But I'm great for spirit. We just want to pay us. This is our home.

Timothy (DM):

We mean you no harm.

Timothy (DM):

It just lets out a roar. It's like who's she.

Yonce:

It felt butterfly plea. It's like a mouse map Beautiful.

Timothy (DM):

That is going to bring us to run, okay.

Dan (Wren):

Naturally, I have a bunch of questions, of course you do. So it. It trapped us with this old tendrily viney arms and then slashed it us with those same tendrily viney arms that, like through the ground right that's how it claw attacked me.

Timothy (DM):

Yes, okay, yeah.

Dan (Wren):

So I can. I can assume that what's in front of me and what's wrapped around me are part of its body.

Timothy (DM):

It belongs to it, okay.

Dan (Wren):

Then I would like to cast meld form Beautiful. On the vines holding me All right and see where that goes.

Timothy (DM):

All right, let's remind everyone what meld form yes.

Dan (Wren):

Meld form casting time, one action. I'm going to skip all that. You gain an attribute, oh my God Words. You gain an attribute of the target creature resulting in a temporary feature per the DM's discretion, if the attribute results in a manifestation of an extra appendage based on the creature's attack. This appendage operates on its own turn but shared initiative, potentially granting you an additional tackage turn, and such as a tentacle attack, etc. About stats on it and saving throws and such. But that's essentially it. I would like a, I would like a, a, a under the ground traveling vine arm Maybe is, I don't know. That's kind of what I'm thinking.

Dan (Wren):

Kind of focusing on, because that is what I'm attached to.

Timothy (DM):

So what was the save?

Dan (Wren):

again, you said there is no save for the creature. It's just, I get it.

Timothy (DM):

I get either. When it, when it detaches from me, I can potentially take a lot of damage. That's it, okay, cool, so yeah. So you touch the vines and you start to sap their essence. You feel your skin start to harden Maple.

Timothy (DM):

Your skin starts to harden and you feel this like almost crunchy creakiness to your joints. The rest of you all see it's almost like a bark skin effect when you all see like Ren's face starts to become a little bit more like woody, textured and brown, and then you start to see little tendrils or branches break out of your clavicle.

Russell (Upri):

Up or immediately panics. Oh my God, they're turning into trees. No, it's me.

Dan (Wren):

it's fine, I'm doing this, remember, I could do the thing with the tenor one Just don't worry about it.

Timothy (DM):

So it has the. The claw attack is effectively its branches. So it is a D8 plus four. D8 plus four, okay.

Dan (Wren):

I guess I need to write.

Timothy (DM):

It also has a plus 12 to hit.

Russell (Upri):

Holy shit.

Dan (Wren):

So let's see root, we name the root.

Yonce:

Naturally.

Timothy (DM):

I will also rule what's your AC yet 16. Okay, so 16 adding like a bark skin effect is going to increase your AC by one.

Dan (Wren):

Hell yeah.

Timothy (DM):

So those are the effects that you have absorbed, and it's one D8 plus what. Is 2D8 plus four.

Dan (Wren):

Oh, 2d8 plus four. Okay, hell yeah, this is going to be a recurrent one, hopefully. Yeah Well, that's stupid technical. I got from the other creature, so I shared it with a. Can it go now, or do I have to wait till next turn for it to take an action?

Timothy (DM):

Um, I think, the way that we ruled it in the past, it can go now.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, I would like to try and break free, then, using the high school musical.

Russell (Upri):

We're breaking free.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, all off key. Yeah, how dare you? I have a degree.

Timothy (DM):

That's a 19 to him.

Dan (Wren):

A 19 will hit. Okay, do I have to roll damage?

Timothy (DM):

or is that going to be? Are you trying to do damage?

Dan (Wren):

No, I'm trying to tear this.

Timothy (DM):

You can use a strength check to get out or you can attack it, but I've used my action already to melt form.

Dan (Wren):

So I don't think I can you do the strength check to get out.

Timothy (DM):

Yes, that's true.

Dan (Wren):

So I want it to just tear at the okay, the vines that are around, yeah, so roll for damage. That is 10. Um, what is it Slashing, probably 10. Slashing damage, yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Uh slashing yes.

Dan (Wren):

Slashing. Okay, does that do it? Do I tear myself free? I will forgo damage to be able to be free. It has.

Timothy (DM):

Let's see Each of them have a certain amount of health, I think. And Finally, flat out Dr it is not listed, so we're going to say it has. They have 10. Yay, Because that seems appropriate. And I also just realized that I've been listening to music this whole time, but the audience cannot hear it. And, audience, I would love for you to be able to hear the music that I put together. So I'm going to just do that real quick. I have it.

Russell (Upri):

And then take it away. We're breaking free.

Yonce:

Mixed degree.

Dan (Wren):

Sorry, that's all I got.

Russell (Upri):

I don't remember those words. This is the part where I say I don't want to be stronger than I've been before.

Timothy (DM):

All right, there we go.

Dan (Wren):

Someone? Yes, they used to be.

Timothy (DM):

Save us.

Yonce:

Not just me Is that your turn.

Dan (Wren):

Um, if I'm free, then I want to move. Okay, well, it depends. If, because the arm is like it says shared initiative but it does different things, is that on my turn, like, do I have to end my turn for it to tear me free? Does that make sense? No, you don't.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, you shared initiative Gotcha.

Dan (Wren):

Then I will like to run to the side. Okay, like off to the side, so I'm not in the the, the, the viney parts that it created when it attacked us. Okay, and I guess I still have a bonus action, so I'll dash to get as close as possible so I can go up to 60 feet.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, how close do you want to get to the cloud of butterflies?

Dan (Wren):

I want to be outside of the cloud of butterflies, so like on the edge. So right on the edge of butterflies, yes, I deeply contemplated a melding form with a giant butterfly and seeing what I got, but I just decided against it.

Russell (Upri):

That would have been so fine.

Dan (Wren):

Yes, but I feel like I might be able to find another flying butterfly at some other point. I can only do it once per day, I think. Just jar one of these.

Russell (Upri):

Hey, I have six charges. We'll just keep doing it Another time.

Dan (Wren):

I'm sure we'll find another flying creature that I can snag wings from.

Chris (Sal):

Butterfly Locust.

Russell (Upri):

Oh, that'd be fun. I've got an insect playing.

Dan (Wren):

Sorry, go ahead. That's it, that's my turn.

Timothy (DM):

That brings us to.

Timothy (DM):

Yanfay All right.

Yonce:

So, if you remember, last season I got gifted a ring of the Ram. I didn't really get gifted it, I wanted it, so I got it.

Timothy (DM):

That is precisely what happened.

Timothy (DM):

And has it worked yet?

Yonce:

No, so why not try it right now? When I'm grappled, can I use it to like to like, get the branch off whatever was on the off of me?

Timothy (DM):

Oh, so I I'm loving the creativity. So like, mechanically, it shoots the thing, the ram, out of the ring. So like, if you wanted to like, stick your hand in the like between you and the vines and shoot it off.

Dan (Wren):

Yes, you could ride the ram out of the Another round of the vine, so one you get inspiration for that.

Yonce:

Yeah, finally Two Took three seasons.

Timothy (DM):

I'm really I'm notoriously bad at remembering to give out inspiration, same, oh, it's rough.

Yonce:

What is inspiration? I've waited three seasons to ask. It's about a scroll.

Timothy (DM):

You get to and Official rules are that you have to determine before you roll that you want to use your inspiration. It gives you advantage. Ok but we've all been playing Baldur's Gate and all loving Baldur's Gate and we love when they they revisit some of those assumptions and they're like that's not a fun way to play because then you're just like wasting inspiration A lot of times.

Yonce:

Yes, I know Baldur's Gate.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, so, anyways, what they do is you are able to roll and if you fail, you can use your inspiration to re-roll, as opposed to having to potentially waste it. Oh, ok, I like that, so we're going to run with that because it's more fun, and that's what we're all about here, do.

Yonce:

I get disadvantaged because I'm no, because the butterflies are like there, so you're attacking the yeah you're attacking the vines that are on you.

Timothy (DM):

You're like You're effectively 30 feet still away from the butterfly cloud and then 60 feet away from the last sheet.

Yonce:

All right, let's do this. All right, and as a way, finally it's in that 20.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, All right. So you crit with your butterfly or your. We should give you a butterfly ring. That'd be wonderful.

Yonce:

Honestly, I can own the force You're in a crit with your Ram Ring.

Timothy (DM):

So roll for damage. We've already established they have 10 hit points.

Yonce:

Yeah, actually I was so plus seven, so it's actually a 27. And it's the target takes two d 10 force damage, so does that mean I roll for them 40, 10.

Russell (Upri):

All right.

Yonce:

Great on a branch, on a branch.

Dan (Wren):

A lot of branches.

Yonce:

So one was 10 plus seven, that's 17 plus one, that's 18 plus nine is.

Chris (Sal):

Twenty six.

Yonce:

Twenty six.

Dan (Wren):

Can we cleave we?

Timothy (DM):

cleave 26 damage.

Yonce:

And it also pushes that five feet away from me. But I think it gets destroyed from that Beautiful.

Timothy (DM):

So you burst out of the grapple. You hear the cracking of wood as this Ram charges out of your ring, bursting you from the vines, and it just continues off and just like fades off into the forest. The last thing you hear is just like that it ramming through all the shrubs as it just charges off through the forest.

Yonce:

As that's happened, I'm like, finally you work and I, that's all I can do. So I am done, all right, I'm free.

Chris (Sal):

Salvador. So I've got a question. Oh go, oh.

Timothy (DM):

I Before, it's your legendary.

Yonce:

I have a legendary Actions everyone, oh my God, Legendary only on HBO Max. It has layer actions.

Timothy (DM):

It also has legendary actions. Well, usually, I think that's almost always the case. Anyways, I'm going to have the three of you who work no, you ran away Salvador and Jan said I'm already on.

Yonce:

I am. I did the do. I've already been broken free.

Timothy (DM):

You broke free. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So why do I got a role you?

Yonce:

stand on your move. I need you all to make a big series Even throw you know, this is my weak point.

Timothy (DM):

Tim, you automatically fail because you're grappled.

Chris (Sal):

Why, why do you have me to roll?

Yonce:

for the audience.

Timothy (DM):

For the audience, for the fun.

Yonce:

And I got a 19 because I got a 16 plus three. Ok, so influencer.

Timothy (DM):

This is the guardian of the forest, and the whole forest has been turned against you this whole time that you've been traveling the last couple days, and it now is going to summon a murder of crows that are going to fly like darts through this battlefield. So what was your?

Yonce:

I got a 19.

Timothy (DM):

A 19 will save Yay. So, salvador, you are actually going to become blinded for one minute because of birds.

Russell (Upri):

Because birds scratch out your eyes.

Timothy (DM):

So yeah, they basically are going to dart through and they're going to tear at you with their claws and they are going to scratch around your eyes.

Yonce:

Can I do a fun flip to avoid them? Very much resident evil retribution.

Timothy (DM):

So I jump.

Yonce:

I see the crows and I just do a nope not today and I jump up.

Timothy (DM):

You can repeat your save at the end of your turn.

Yonce:

Sorry Sal.

Chris (Sal):

It is your turn, though. Well, I can't do what I was going to ask before.

Timothy (DM):

I want a type of weather. Is it Tim?

Chris (Sal):

What type of weather?

Timothy (DM):

is it. Let's do a role for that. It's crappy weather, we're on a.

Timothy (DM):

So it's been.

Timothy (DM):

It's been very like overcast the last couple of days, raining on and off. Y'all have soggy boots. Everything is sticky.

Chris (Sal):

Well, if I can ever regain my sight, you'll know what I'll do, but I'm going to do a sacred flame at, and I don't have to, it's not surprisingly enough. It's not an attack. They just have to do dexterity saving, throw OK.

Timothy (DM):

And that's on.

Chris (Sal):

It's on the leshy, the leshy, ok or can I do it on these birds? How are the birds hanging around, or are they just like they did a pass?

Timothy (DM):

They did a pass through Clot at your eyes and OK, because I don't need to so your save is really just to like recover from the fact that you just got your eyes scratched.

Chris (Sal):

I got some bird feathers yeah yeah, that's boot bird poop in your eyes the unfortunate.

Yonce:

Hey, that's good luck in some cultures.

Timothy (DM):

Dex, save of oh, you're going to hate me, you're going to hate me so much because it's not like a plus eight to dexterity, doesn't it?

Chris (Sal):

I also rolled an 18.

Timothy (DM):

So it's dexterity is really hard to read. How did this print? Oh my goodness, I work on paper. Yeah, all Boom plus Seven, yeah.

Dan (Wren):

I got better eyes to me. Look at it.

Timothy (DM):

It. It printed with the numbers like on top of each other for some reason. So I think it's a plus seven, so it's a 25.

Chris (Sal):

Yeah, so light burst from my hands and it pummeled the chest of the leshy and it gets a little singe mark on it.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, which you can barely see because I can't see. Yeah. Oh, you can't see everyone else gets like little glimpse of like light bursting through the single thing of smoke rises out of the butterfly.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, what?

Chris (Sal):

It like burns a hole through that.

Dan (Wren):

That looked like it was effective.

Chris (Sal):

Yeah, that looked really good. Good job, Sal.

Timothy (DM):

And I can do my saving throw now. You can do your saving throw now. Yeah, you are trying to beat an 18.

Chris (Sal):

Tim, why do you make these DCs so high? I didn't do this. It's a level nine.

Timothy (DM):

It's also a CR 14, because y'all are level nine.

Yonce:

It'll be fine, come on, do your.

Chris (Sal):

R2-D2.

Yonce:

I don't know how.

Chris (Sal):

I mean I love 14. It's really high for CR. Nine characters.

Yonce:

Exactly how rude.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, it is.

Dan (Wren):

This is meant to be a hard fight. I've become an end to refine.

Yonce:

We got butterflies on our side, yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Also trying to balance with the fact that I gave you all, like next to God, powers.

Dan (Wren):

I mean put it to sleep Sal.

Yonce:

Give it a nightmare.

Chris (Sal):

It only lasts a minute and I'm asleep too.

Timothy (DM):

Well, we'll get a rest. Yeah, mid fight, just everybody, everybody taking a nap, great Beautiful Love it. Love it, so it has one more legendary action to make this round Wait it's every round, every round, it gets three legendary actions. The murder of crows cost two actions and is now going to use a claw attack.

Yonce:

Ain't that some bullshit? It is some bullshit.

Timothy (DM):

That is in fact correct. This is the guardian of the forest, and it has some bullshit up its bark.

Yonce:

I told you Nim Nim didn't pay the forest bills.

Timothy (DM):

So we are. We're going to randomize this because right now, all of you all are somewhat equal threat to it.

Chris (Sal):

Yeah, blind grappled man.

Russell (Upri):

Up ray so it runs out of the butterfly cloud.

Timothy (DM):

No what, it can shoot shit through the ground, but it does have disadvantage because it is seen through the butterfly cloud and it is going to get what I rolled a 20 and a one which is once in a lifetime going to happen. So I took a crit to a crit fail and it is going to woof so bad that as you are dodging the attack, I'm going to give you a retaliation, so roll for damage against the line.

Russell (Upri):

Can we say that? I don't even dodge it, I'm just so distracted looking at tree red and.

Timothy (DM):

I'm just like whiffed past me and I slam it like whack-a-mole, so roll for damage, oh damage yeah.

Dan (Wren):

Not even to hit. Wow, what weapon do I use? Wow.

Russell (Upri):

Oh, my God, I'm not reaching so I don't remember any of my bonuses. Nine bludgeoning damage.

Timothy (DM):

Nine bludgeoning Okay beautiful, and then we are back up to the top of the order. So as we reach initiative 20, mechanically a green mist starts to seep out of the ground in this clearing and the air begins to become clouded as well as a bit burny. I'm rolling good.

Yonce:

I got another nat 20. So that is a you said constitution, save Constitution save, so that's a 22.

Timothy (DM):

I got 23. I'm an influence 20.

Chris (Sal):

You are an influence 16.

Timothy (DM):

I'm a drug account, so the DC is 18. Yeah, so who passed? I did Salvador and Yancei are going to pass.

Timothy (DM):

I did too Wait I did too, oh, and.

Yonce:

Ren, wow, I got 23.

Timothy (DM):

Wow, okay, so y'all are doing good on your concept, it's just stubborn.

Dan (Wren):

So the most constitutionalized dollar. I'm so stupid, I literally have a 20 constitution.

Timothy (DM):

Oh my gosh, that's rough. For some reason, this catches you real off guard. You are going to take 17 poison damage.

Yonce:

Oh yeah, that's the poison that you can't have.

Timothy (DM):

It is going to be halved for everybody else.

Russell (Upri):

Oh shit, wait what? Because cloud kills.

Timothy (DM):

So it's eight poison damage for everybody else or whatever yeah, does the cloud linger? No.

Russell (Upri):

Oh, thank god Jesus. No, no, no.

Timothy (DM):

It's just a one time effect. It just is like this poison just like emanates out of the ground. Everything gets like this hazy green film. You start to cough, you feel it burning in your lungs and then it dissipates as we move on to the top of the order, which is the lech Beautiful. So it is going to make something called a grasping branches attack. I should banish it.

Yonce:

Honestly, I was just about thinking that, because I do have banishment.

Timothy (DM):

Never mind, it cannot technically see you all.

Russell (Upri):

It is heavily obscured.

Timothy (DM):

So it can't do that one, and so again, it's going to make multi attack with disadvantage. And who's done the most damage? Definitely not so. Definitely not so. I have done zero.

Yonce:

I did it on a branch.

Russell (Upri):

I made a bunch of butterflies pee on it.

Dan (Wren):

I don't think it's taken damage quite yet. Wait, no, I hit its damage.

Russell (Upri):

It took damage.

Dan (Wren):

Hit its claw. Oh, we took it.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, I hit the claw, it's bursting out as an attack does damage to the core of the creature. Okay, cool, cool.

Dan (Wren):

Cool, somebody should help Sal do some damage to the creature.

Timothy (DM):

Just like if you start ripping off branches from a tree.

Timothy (DM):

Nice fair. We are the villains, all right, so Uprie.

Timothy (DM):

Another crit fail on Uprie Ah and Yance does a 21 hit.

Yonce:

Sorry, I was looking at myself on the stream. I look good. Yes, sorry, vanity.

Timothy (DM):

A 21 does hit. So you are going to take 2d8 plus 4 slashing damage. 16 plus 4 is 20 slashing damage.

Yonce:

That's a lot, that is a lot.

Timothy (DM):

I rolled 2d8s on D Wait I definitely have.

Yonce:

So did they hit me? Or was it because I want to use my?

Timothy (DM):

They did hit you, yes, all right, I'm going to use my.

Yonce:

Lord Jesus Christ, I'm sorry, freya Christ.

Timothy (DM):

Christ Freya, christ Freya. I'm trying to find that thing.

Yonce:

Hellish.

Timothy (DM):

Rebuke. That's what it's called Hellish Rebuke. Yeah, so it will make a deck save A 21. Okay.

Dan (Wren):

Is it half damage?

Yonce:

I think. So Hold on, I'm rereading, everything Re-reading. It's not like it's been months since I've done this, it has.

Timothy (DM):

Since you use Hellish Rebuke.

Yonce:

Since I've even gone on D&D feeling.

Russell (Upri):

What do you do during the monthlies, girly?

Yonce:

I hide and play Crash Bandicoot.

Dan (Wren):

You're her spellcaster.

Yonce:

Oh, it's halved.

Timothy (DM):

It's halved, okay, so roll for damage.

Yonce:

Hold on. Okay, so 6 plus 5 is 11. Does that mean 6?

Timothy (DM):

11 halved you round down, except it is vulnerable to fire. So, then it doubles, so it rounds down to 5, but then doubles to 10. Nice.

Yonce:

Beautiful. I'll burn this whole fours down.

Dan (Wren):

And everyone in it. This is your home, remember.

Yonce:

I don't care anymore. Final season, baby, I'm kidding.

Timothy (DM):

Is that how that?

Russell (Upri):

works.

Timothy (DM):

I wish you would try to get us back here for 5,000 years. Just like.

Yonce:

Mistress, I'm in my Villain era now, oh my god, all right.

Timothy (DM):

So that was its multi-attack, and that brings us to Uprie.

Russell (Upri):

So I believe I'm 40 feet away.

Timothy (DM):

You are 40 feet away.

Russell (Upri):

So you're trying to dash to move the 40 feet and try to get next to it in the butterfly cloud.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, so you go dash through the butterfly cloud.

Russell (Upri):

You're like no, I'm not dodging, I'm just letting the oh hit me, I guess they are just butterfly wings.

Timothy (DM):

They're probably not. They're probably a little gross feeling.

Dan (Wren):

I'm sure it doesn't feel great. Very powdery, all right, it's covered in butterfly dust.

Timothy (DM):

Cool, and yeah, you bash up right next to it. What are you going to do?

Russell (Upri):

And then I'm going to rage, all right.

Dan (Wren):

What color are the butterflies? They're all sorts of colors.

Russell (Upri):

Oh it's not just one type of butterfly, it's a bunch of, it's just like a whole bunch of. They're queer butterflies.

Dan (Wren):

They're so gay. I really wish I had molded form with a butterfly, found a monarch, big monarch wings. That'd been weird what little monarch wings, which have been useless.

Timothy (DM):

Little fragile wings, just like you get. Just like little wings growing at random parts of your body On my temples. Oh, that'd be cute. Keeps me cool. We can't give you cute things.

Russell (Upri):

The coriol flump appears behind it. Nice.

Timothy (DM):

All right, and flumps do what.

Russell (Upri):

It's not really a flump, it just looks like a flump.

Timothy (DM):

All right. Does it have any like mechanical effect?

Russell (Upri):

It is. It looks really happy at first and it starts singing and then you just hear a blood curdling scream from within the butterfly thing as it explodes.

Timothy (DM):

Unless you make a dexterity saving throw.

Russell (Upri):

Beautiful DC 17.

Dan (Wren):

Such a short existence.

Timothy (DM):

Ooh, I rolled 12.

Russell (Upri):

All right, and it takes a 1d6 force, damon.

Timothy (DM):

Ooh.

Russell (Upri):

It takes 3 force damons 3.

Timothy (DM):

Something you did damage this round.

Russell (Upri):

Cool, and then I can summon more as bonus actions for a while that's incredible. Cool, just my turn, all right.

Timothy (DM):

So it is going to use another one of its legendary actions it is going to call primal beasts. So as upry, you are exploding, a flump on it, you are like running towards it. You see it rears up and you see like the branches on top of its, like head, so to speak, starts just like, and you feel the like vibrations through the air. And then you hear, and through the brush around you all you hear rustling and 1d4 dire wolves are going to appear and we're going to hit four dire wolves.

Russell (Upri):

Are they also affected by the difficult terrain? In the butterflies? They are affected by the difficult terrain.

Timothy (DM):

Yes, beautiful. So that is its legendary action, which brings us to Ren's turn.

Dan (Wren):

How far away is Sal, did we?

Timothy (DM):

establish. So you all started kind of in a clump, but you ran away. But I ran away. How far did you run? I?

Dan (Wren):

ran to the butterfly circle.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, so you are 30 feet up from.

Dan (Wren):

Oh then I'm just going to run back to Sal and can I use my help action to unblind him Like like doctor, unblind him Like be like it's okay, put some like ointment on the scratches.

Timothy (DM):

I would allow you to make a medicine check.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, I can do that. My medicine is great. That's a 14. I rolled a 2, by the way 14.

Timothy (DM):

That was pretty good. That was the DC who was going to give you.

Timothy (DM):

So yeah, you're going to unblind Sal here you go, here you go. I'm just like some, like saline that you have, because like that's a pretty standard thing.

Timothy (DM):

Wash out his eyes. Just give him a little eye wash. Yeah, some pocket saline Salt water.

Dan (Wren):

I just pour salt water in your eyes. No, it's for the best. What do you have this for? No, it's a doctor.

Timothy (DM):

Saline is meant to be body neutral, so it's salty to the level that your body should be.

Timothy (DM):

Oh, okay, it's only slightly salty, because our bodies are slightly salty. Yeah.

Dan (Wren):

Ren is really smart, dan is not, so thank you for that explanation.

Timothy (DM):

I was playing a game with a doctor recently and he had to explain that saline should not be cloudy, because then that means that there's bacteria in it. So it should be clear and it should only be slightly salty with some like electrolytes.

Dan (Wren):

Well, I pour that on your face.

Chris (Sal):

I feel rejuvenated.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, your eyes feel a lot better Then I would like to. What is the shrubbery around us?

Timothy (DM):

Like bushes. There's some like thorn bushes, there's some like lower hedge-y type stuff. I mean close up.

Dan (Wren):

I guess is it close enough for me to bonus action hide in a bush. You could hide it. Okay, I would like to try and hide in a bush, yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Mechanically this is very much like a boss battle scene, where it's like a clearing and everything's like just a big circle, but we're on the outskirts.

Dan (Wren):

But you can like go and hide in the bushes.

Russell (Upri):

I'm going to dive into a non-thorny bush.

Dan (Wren):

One of the shrubberies, that's a 23. A 23? Okay, that's also one of my expertise and skills.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, you're probably fine Cool.

Dan (Wren):

You probably don't see Ren, you just, you just feel liquid on your face which that's weird to say Surprise liquid on your face, and then you probably hear a rustle in the bush next to you as I dive into it, as your eyes start to clear. That's my turn. That's, that's all of my economy.

Timothy (DM):

Beautiful. So that is going to bring us to Yonsei.

Yonce:

All right, I think this is going to be smart, but I'm not sure I'm going to ask questions as I do it, okay, cool. I am going to cast Blight on Leshi, okay, okay, okay. And it needs to do a con save of 16.

Timothy (DM):

A con save of 16.

Yonce:

And I hope that it doesn't, because I have a question if it fails.

Timothy (DM):

Fail, fail, fail, fail, fail, fail. It does have a.

Dan (Wren):

Plus 16 con.

Timothy (DM):

It does have a 20 in con, so it's a plus five, plus the 16 that I rolled is a 21.

Yonce:

It passes Never mind. No.

Dan (Wren):

To take off seas.

Yonce:

No, hold up, do, do, do, do, do or half the damage on a successful one. Yeah, but my question is since Leshi is a plant, does it still get? Because it says on here that it gets max, max damage on plants.

Timothy (DM):

Oh, Is it? If it fails, it would.

Yonce:

Okay.

Timothy (DM):

I'll still take it. I think that's how that would work. Yeah, it doesn't automatically hit plants you know what. Wait, is it half damage? Yeah, regardless.

Yonce:

It's or half as much damage on a successful one, so it will be maxed halved. So that's so it's 98.

Timothy (DM):

So would that be seventy, seventy two half thirty six. Thirty six, thirty six Yep, so I don't have to roll.

Yonce:

Thirty six, so it was smart.

Russell (Upri):

It was. That is really smart.

Dan (Wren):

Do it again. Do it again Does that mean, I get?

Yonce:

another inspiration. Okay, I'm actually reading descriptions now.

Dan (Wren):

You know, we could use a portent wizard to be like Nope, that's a one. Nope, nope. Probably has legendary resistances to burn.

Timothy (DM):

Is that your turn?

Dan (Wren):

Speaking of which does it have a I should not have said anything. It does not have legendary resistance Beautiful.

Yonce:

Yeah, then that will be the end of my turn.

Timothy (DM):

This is an amalgamation of a bunch of home brews that I found, and then I'm like I hope this is balanced everyone.

Russell (Upri):

It's not but, we're doing okay.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, I mean like we're like two-thirds of your health.

Chris (Sal):

Yeah.

Dan (Wren):

Also.

Timothy (DM):

I'm looking at the stats on my computer now and it does have a minus one to ducks, it's not a plus seven.

Timothy (DM):

What.

Timothy (DM):

I apologize everyone. I think I rolled really high regardless. Yeah, on all those deck saves but a. They should be minus one. Extras got it, salvador, you can see again.

Chris (Sal):

I can see now. I can't cast call lightning because I have to see the point that I'm calling lightning too, but I'm gonna.

Timothy (DM):

Cast in what their wolves dire wolves around there are yes, there are four dire wolves that are now like around of the perimeter of this battlefield.

Yonce:

But north never forget.

Timothy (DM):

So let's just say they are all there's like a 30-foot radius outside of where you all started that they are okay, are there two wolves that are next to each other?

Chris (Sal):

No okay, well, it only has so call. Lightning only has a range, like everything, within five feet of where the lighting strikes.

Timothy (DM):

I mean, they still have a good amount of head points.

Timothy (DM):

So long, just like a.

Chris (Sal):

Well, that changes. These are dire wolves, not just regular wolfies, are they? How close are they to me? I'm still like 40 feet away from them, aren't I?

Timothy (DM):

You are. I would say that you're 30 feet okay, but I'm gonna cast.

Chris (Sal):

Well, ren, you're hiding in a bush.

Dan (Wren):

Yes, I'm hiding in a bush.

Chris (Sal):

Are you within 30 feet of me? Yes, okay, a lot, my a lot. My spells are like I can do a lot of damage, but there can't be anybody around me.

Yonce:

Well, so you should be traveling alone.

Chris (Sal):

Yeah, honestly, because like storm clerics are meant for like big battlefields, which is really kind of this is a big battlefield, but it's like I have people around me and birds are low right now I'm in a bush.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, I'm gonna probably actually don't see me. I remember I dived into the bush.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, it affects everybody feet away because you really move. Oh, I have that destructive way of effects.

Chris (Sal):

But yeah, I'm gonna do call lightning on one of the wolves and. It's gonna hit one of them. It's a 60 foot radius of a cloud, but only it's every creature within five of it. So I have to do a dexterity saving throw. Okay, cool, a six plus Two is eight, so it fails my DC, so it it takes a total of 16 points of lightning damage.

Chris (Sal):

Oh, damn good All right, and since it's stormy out because you sell the stormy, yeah, cloudy, it does an additional detour which is eight, so it was a total of 24 points of lightning damage and because I'm there's something special with lightning as a as a storm cleric.

Timothy (DM):

You're getting when you deal, when you deal lightning damage to a creature larger, smaller.

Chris (Sal):

It's pushed 10 feet away from you, so that one wolf is now 10. It's pushed 10 feet into the butterflies back into the bushes. Yeah, okay, cool, and I'm still bound right, because I'm in the in the vines.

Timothy (DM):

Yes, you haven't broken yourself out yet.

Chris (Sal):

Do I have to use an action to try to escape it?

Timothy (DM):

Uh, you can either use an action to do a strength check to break out, or you can attack the vines and do 10 Points of damage.

Chris (Sal):

I'll get it. That was my turn.

Timothy (DM):

All right. Um with that, we are through the order and we are going to take a short break as we come back up to initiative 20. Uh, so I'm going to put us all on a BRB real quick. Um, and we will be back in five minutes. All right, so back to initiative 20 everyone. What is it going to do this time?

Russell (Upri):

Mining. Let's see it, find us that parted really beyond Summon wolves to summon crows.

Timothy (DM):

We're going to adjust so that you all get the full Experience, the full fantasy. Um, we're going to use its third layer action option, which is great, to heal. So Only upper really sees this, but as it's, it had just reared up, done its little like With his branches to call the wolves that you can't see. You don't know. The dire wolves are here.

Russell (Upri):

I heard them, um, you heard them. They laugh they very loudly.

Timothy (DM):

So it has had been like reared up and you're going to see that it then just like collapses down to the ground with a thud and you see it's like Roots are going to like grasp into the soil and you see that it starts to like suck up nutrients from the soil Like very video game ask, where it just is like undulating as it starts to heal it's roots roots.

Yonce:

I was gonna say roots, it's the roots it's roots.

Timothy (DM):

How are? How am I supposed to pronounce it?

Yonce:

the correct way Root root like a brute.

Timothy (DM):

I don't know what root all right.

Russell (Upri):

Uh, you all hear from in the butterfly swarm guys. I think we're in trouble.

Timothy (DM):

Um, so it is gonna heal for 48.

Dan (Wren):

So, everything I just did oh.

Timothy (DM):

Plus 12 is 27 hit points is so I need to get in there, don't I Hold my?

Dan (Wren):

trick.

Yonce:

We can't spend this whole session bowling the forest monster. All right we could we could, if you, if you all.

Timothy (DM):

Take that long to kill it.

Russell (Upri):

I guess all that prep work Could just be used for next time. So this is around three. This is around the first round.

Timothy (DM):

Um, and it's looking fine, like it's Definitely you've done damage.

Russell (Upri):

They last for 10 minutes.

Timothy (DM):

Christ, and it's no concentration.

Russell (Upri):

They're there. They're just there for 10 minutes. I'm just there for 10 minutes.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, cool, um, and it's. It does not see a need to like leave this area because right now I definitely helped it a little. To the lushes advantage. And it is now the lushes turn. So it is again going to multi attack, and now it is feeling real threatened by uppery who is right up in its face.

Timothy (DM):

So both of those are going to be towards upraising bring it, um, and because you are in melee decisions, it's not going to be with disadvantage, just like you won't attack with disadvantage on it. Uh, so that was a. Four plus 12 is 16 just to six plus 12 is 18. This plus 12 is rough You're raging so you can um. So it's going to be 48 plus 8 is going to be the total damage dealt Um. So that is 15 plus 12, so we're up to 27 plus 8 is 35, what kind?

Russell (Upri):

Slashing perfect, it is actually 17. Thank you.

Timothy (DM):

I have, oh my goodness, because I'm a part by your, your damage, and I have 20, so I'm still at 79.

Dan (Wren):

Wow, oh my god, it's more than my eyes, is that?

Timothy (DM):

all you good, uh, beautiful. Um, that will bring us to the Woffies, the woffies are in the mix now. There are four of them. They are on the outside Um, so unfortunately, they're going to go after the three of you who are outside the cloud of I'm in a bush. Butterflies, and they Can't find. So, we're going to split the love between the two of you for meaning and so fun.

Timothy (DM):

Get more excited about it. All right, so I'm going to make some attacks on you all, so let's start with. So, um, we've got a 21 to hit and a 16 to hit, so only one. Okay, one will hit for 2d6 plus three piercing damage. That's gonna be max damage.

Yonce:

Oh what do you do? Is that the?

Timothy (DM):

second time I rolled max on on my two dice. I rolled two sixes. I rolled two eights before and now I rolled two sixes. Um so 12 plus three is 15 piercing damage um and then you have to make a Uh, strength saving throw.

Chris (Sal):

Well, I'm gonna do a review going on, so it has to do a saving throw as well. Okay, uh, and I'm doing a strength saving throw.

Yonce:

Yes, wait, with helo's rebuked, since it was a plant, would I also get max damage because it's fire.

Chris (Sal):

Oh, never mind, you already do with me. It was double damage. I have double damage.

Timothy (DM):

Never mind.

Chris (Sal):

I got four.

Timothy (DM):

Um, they got a. Two plus two is four. And was that full damage on helo's rebuked See helo's rebuked too the wolfie, the wolfies, though Wolfies don't do but it but it's not half damage, because you rolled a two, four. Oh, as in yes, that's what you mean by full damage. Yes, so roll, roll your damage For helo's rebuk.

Chris (Sal):

Okay, it's. Oh, because it did a dexterity saving throw yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Do do, do and do you want to helo's rebuked, the one that has already taken damage or the other?

Chris (Sal):

The one that's already taken damage.

Timothy (DM):

All right.

Chris (Sal):

What? Because hels rebukes a tiefling thing. I don't know. I think I can cast it as a second level. Uh, hels rebuked Good luck. Because it's a tiefling Clat, it's a tiefling race feature that I can cast it. But I think it's like because the baseline is level one but I don't have my I mean, it takes a spell slot, so it makes sense that you could upscale it.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, oh, it does for tiefling that takes a spell slot.

Russell (Upri):

I think so.

Dan (Wren):

Uh, when you reach third level, you can cast helo's rebuked at the second level once Uh with a trait and regain this ability to do so.

Chris (Sal):

I'm gonna finish a long rest, yeah. So once on a long rest, yeah, that's like a level. So it's gonna be 3d10 of fire damage and that's a total uh 21 points of fire to this puppy.

Yonce:

Wait before you continue we do not condone animal violence on this podcast. We do not condone well.

Timothy (DM):

If you are defending yourself against a wolf.

Yonce:

I think you're fine, I prefer not to have four dire wolves attack me, but someone chose it to be four dire wolves, so maybe the players yeah, we are free of any guilt. Exactly yes.

Timothy (DM):

If, if you are attacked in the woods by an animal, you are allowed to defend yourself.

Chris (Sal):

Even if you barge into its house.

Timothy (DM):

Well, try not to do that Be good stewards of the forest y'all. Um, anyways, uh, it dies.

Yonce:

Well, the north always remembers. It's a hot dog now. Oh, how stark is gonna be pissed.

Timothy (DM):

Oh no.

Yonce:

Um, oh, that's got it, uh-huh.

Timothy (DM):

Um, okay, cool. Uh, so there are still two more that are gonna now attack yonsei. Oh, I completely forgot yeah.

Yonce:

I almost did too um.

Timothy (DM):

So a 18 plus 5 is 22. 23 that hits, that will hit Um. Seven plus five is 12.

Yonce:

So that one won't hit We'll miss.

Timothy (DM):

Nice, uh, so you are also only gonna take one On set. Of damage is 2d6 plus three with its bite attack, which is six plus three, is nine piercing damage. I'm also gonna do hellish rebuke.

Yonce:

Okay, gorgeous, Wait well, how much damage do I take? Um nine piercing Lord jesus, I am almost half at house, house, um, so I'm going to use hellish rebuke so that you have to do a con safe.

Timothy (DM):

I do a con save.

Yonce:

Okay, that's, that's, that's, that's yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Uh, 13 plus two is 15. It fails.

Yonce:

All right, nice. So that's 2d10 of damage.

Russell (Upri):

Wait, is that a spell slot for you? It is a spell slot for well it's level.

Yonce:

It's first level evocation.

Russell (Upri):

That's a spell slot.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, it's a mark, your spell slots off.

Yonce:

Well, for warlock it doesn't on my thing it says first it's everything above first spell button.

Timothy (DM):

Warlocks cast everything at the same level.

Chris (Sal):

Yeah, they only have like, so what's?

Timothy (DM):

what level do you have spell slots for? I?

Yonce:

have one for the first level, and I oh for anything above one.

Timothy (DM):

What is your character she'd say for for the spell slots. Yeah, I can double check.

Dan (Wren):

I'm um legit warlock is confusing when it comes to spells. It is it's very different from everything.

Russell (Upri):

Very weird yeah.

Dan (Wren):

So at level, um what level are we? Nine? Yeah you are casting at a oh my god what okay, I get it.

Yonce:

Only my false life is the only thing that could be at the first level.

Dan (Wren):

Everything else, even if it's a reaction it's fifth level, everything it's a fifth level for you because your false life is always prepared.

Timothy (DM):

It's like a special thing that you have Um, and that's why that one's level, and so your hellish rebuke, will be at fifth level.

Dan (Wren):

All right Um it's one of your, it's One of your two spell slots.

Yonce:

Well, I already use hellish rebuke one, so I can't do it so never mind, I take it all back.

Timothy (DM):

Oh, last time you cast hellish rebuke, you did not do it at the fifth level, though I did not Um, so how many extra dice.

Chris (Sal):

Uh, is it supposed to be Four more d10.

Timothy (DM):

So four more d10 for the last time you cast. Uh, but it's matt. Was it maxed for some?

Chris (Sal):

reason no, it's double.

Russell (Upri):

It was double for the plan fire. It was halved and then doubled blight was max.

Timothy (DM):

Oh blight is because that's a thing about blight yeah that's a blight specific.

Yonce:

Five plus three is eight. Eight, one is nine plus nine is 18 18 doubled halved, then doubled.

Timothy (DM):

Halved and doubled oh because it did it saved. Save Okay, so 18 damage 18 fire damage Nice.

Yonce:

So instead of halving damage one, we just keep it the same because it likes fractions.

Dan (Wren):

Because if it were, because if it were an odd number, you'd have it to the lower and then double it to one left, which we did technically yeah, it's silly.

Timothy (DM):

Um, yeah, man, okay, you're getting, you're, you're, you're chipping away at this slushy, this slushy, slushy.

Timothy (DM):

That's how your spell slots work.

Timothy (DM):

You don't have very many spell slots but they're always at like a high level so you're always going to cast. That hellish rebuke is like a big burst of fire yeah.

Yonce:

Cool, cool Cool.

Timothy (DM):

Um, your false life is the only one, because your false life is its own thing. Yeah, it's not. It doesn't use a spell slot.

Yonce:

Hope I can't use blight again, so that's okay.

Dan (Wren):

It's still a lot of damage.

Timothy (DM):

Oh right, Uh, where were we? That was the wuffy's turn. Oh, and did you both do your strength saving throws? So, kristen, yeah.

Dan (Wren):

I got a four a four.

Timothy (DM):

So you are going to be knocked. Prone.

Timothy (DM):

Hey.

Chris (Sal):

I'm on the ground anyway, already.

Yonce:

Yeah strength saving throw.

Chris (Sal):

Strength saving throw. Am I most stable state. I got a 10 10.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, you are also going to get knocked.

Timothy (DM):

Prone prone is one of the like the least exciting Status effects because you fall

Dan (Wren):

down, you fall down but then you get back right up like like two seconds later. It makes a big difference if you're trying to like go somewhere because it is take a lot of your movement.

Timothy (DM):

It does take a lot of your movement and they do have advantage on melee against you until you get back up right, but disadvantage on ranged so. Anyways, that brings us to uppery.

Dan (Wren):

Bunk him.

Russell (Upri):

I'm first, I'm first, I'm gonna bonus action summon my little flump who's gonna go behind it and it looks real happy and it's just doing its thing and now I'm gonna hit it Does a eight hit um, and eight does not hit, sorry. Does a 23 hit?

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, that does, yeah, cool.

Russell (Upri):

Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool Does a. It takes um, uh, um, uh, um, uh, 12. Legending damage 12 and that needs to make a DC 17 deck save, as the flump just goes.

Dan (Wren):

Explode behind it. This has human vocal chords, so it makes a.

Russell (Upri):

No, it's like a cute little munchkin scream but I can't go with that register. Yeah, does it fail?

Timothy (DM):

It fails with a 11-11. Perfect, it takes a whole one, four steps.

Chris (Sal):

It is, it is. I murder these creatures. Do you know what he says?

Timothy (DM):

They're not real.

Timothy (DM):

No they're not real. They feel real, though they feel real. This is all operating.

Timothy (DM):

Their cries do make you feel uncomfortable. All right, so that is going to. Is that your turn? Yeah, that's going to bring us to run.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, I think you guys can take care of these wolves, so I probably need my help. So I'm going to you. Just keep hearing whatever.

Russell (Upri):

Something's wrong.

Dan (Wren):

I will bonus action dash to get into melee range. It's like 60 feet away. I think is what we determined from where we originally started.

Timothy (DM):

So oh, because you ran back to sell.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah. So yeah, 60 feet, yeah, and I'll take the path that's not that's not, rudy like along the roots. That makes sense, cause it's like a line of roots, that's.

Timothy (DM):

It is like a radius from that initial bursting point.

Russell (Upri):

Oh yeah.

Timothy (DM):

So you're going to have to dash to get to the edge of it Okay.

Dan (Wren):

Well, I'll double dash that because I can use bonus action and action dash and then I'll have my. I'll flank it with Apri Hello.

Russell (Upri):

Oh right, You're in.

Dan (Wren):

It's me and then my root vines from my clavicle is what you said, right?

Timothy (DM):

Yes. So like right here, I just got some you take, like the tige. Yeah, it's going to rip out and try and attack the creature?

Dan (Wren):

Does it have advantage because it's flanked? Does the root my chest roots yes, you got it Does a 27 hit.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, a word.

Dan (Wren):

And this sounds like a stupid question, but can I do my sneak attack with it, or is that only something that, like, I'm holding?

Timothy (DM):

in like that's only your ability. Okay, got it Got it, I don't have that much control, understandable it takes.

Dan (Wren):

Oh, that was a lot of damage. 11 plus 4. 15 slashing damage 15?

Timothy (DM):

Okay.

Dan (Wren):

So I'm going to go back and try to get my root to grow out of my chest and whip at it and go back. Is that new, yeah?

Russell (Upri):

Feels weird.

Dan (Wren):

It looks weird.

Russell (Upri):

It is weird.

Yonce:

Well, me and Salo on the floor, being like I can't hear you, oh my whole ground is on his goddamn floor, his fucking floor is. I hate this enchanted floor. One by left.

Timothy (DM):

It's your home, it is Yonsei's turn, so you get back up and then get knocked by the nun. Yes, I get back up.

Yonce:

Is that my turn?

Timothy (DM):

No, it's only half your movement.

Yonce:

All right, since I cannot use any of my spells. As we've learned audience, I'm a warlock.

Timothy (DM):

I mean, you can use your Eldritch Blast yeah.

Yonce:

And you got weapons. I was getting there. I was getting there. Come on, Eldritch.

Russell (Upri):

Butt, let's go, let me speak, thank you.

Yonce:

I am going to use Eldritch Blast. I'm going to point oh, but is that disadvantage? It will be at disadvantage because you're melee. How many wolves are?

Timothy (DM):

left. There are three One on Salvador and two on you.

Yonce:

I'm going to point them at both of the wolves at me, okay.

Timothy (DM):

It will be at disadvantage.

Yonce:

It's still at disadvantage.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah.

Yonce:

Okay, one's at One's 14. All right.

Timothy (DM):

A 14 will hit.

Yonce:

The other one is one. Wait hold up, hold up. Hold up, sorry. You said disadvantage, sorry. I hate forgetting, I forget. Plus eight, sorry. The first one was at. Disadvantage was 11, but plus eight is 19. So that one definitely hits. This one was a nat one plus eight, so it's nine. So that's going to mess. Yes, so it'll hit one wolfie. Sorry, wolf, I did not choose for you to be created in this. So one d10 plus four Plus four is seven, seven damage.

Timothy (DM):

Yes.

Yonce:

All right, and that's points to the one that has less health.

Timothy (DM):

Neither of them have taken damage. So now one has that your turn? Yes, all right, salvador.

Chris (Sal):

How close are Yance and I?

Timothy (DM):

You are 10 feet apart.

Chris (Sal):

Oh dang. And are the wolves close to Yance? They're within five feet of each other. Yes, okay, I'm going to.

Yonce:

Honestly, you can take me out. I'm gonna. Well, you'll be, you'll be fine.

Chris (Sal):

I'll. I'm going to cast it on the one of the wolves attacking Yance and they both have to do a dexterity saving throw of DC 17.

Timothy (DM):

All right, we are going to do that role. So one is going to roll a an 18 and the other is going to roll a four.

Chris (Sal):

Okay, so for a grand total of oh, these are pretty big numbers 23 points. No, is that right? Say the numbers out loud.

Yonce:

So, it's 19. 19 plus 14 is 33.

Chris (Sal):

33 points of lightning to the one that failed.

Timothy (DM):

All right, 16 to the other.

Chris (Sal):

And they're both pushed 10 feet away from Yance.

Timothy (DM):

All right, one is dead. Yes, and then you said half to the other one.

Yonce:

Yeah 16.

Timothy (DM):

Yay, thank you.

Timothy (DM):

And the other one's looking pretty fried All right.

Dan (Wren):

A lightning bolt does come down very close to you.

Timothy (DM):

Honestly, with the luck I've been having it's smite me, for you, this smite me I don't know, your blight is still the most damaged onto that lushie. Yeah, that was a lot.

Chris (Sal):

I'm gonna sit up as well, yeah.

Dan (Wren):

You're still grappled? No, you do this for a laying down.

Timothy (DM):

You're just like you have your head on your chin and you're like boom.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Boom, boom, zap, the fucking attitude.

Timothy (DM):

Lightning bot.

Timothy (DM):

That is your turn. Yep, all right, initiative 20, everyone Great. The healing is just like really effective, so it's gonna do that again.

Dan (Wren):

Stop it next turn.

Timothy (DM):

Stop it next turn. Yeah, there is somebody in the party who could do something about that.

Dan (Wren):

That's me.

Timothy (DM):

So 11 plus 9 is 20 points of damage is healed, as again Uppery and Nowren. You see it slam itself back into the ground, the roots dig into the earth and it starts to undulate again.

Timothy (DM):

You're kidding me with this shit.

Timothy (DM):

As it sucks the nutrients up. And you just see, like, as it does this, like little like branches spurt from its trunk and like grow little like leaves, and you see like a little flower bloom, it's like real cute and pretty and like that is initiative 20. And then it is its turn Again. We're gonna do our multi attack on Russell.

Chris (Sal):

I can't believe those butterflies are here.

Timothy (DM):

Russell's not present to get attacked, that's for me to do so. A 17 and a 16 to hit.

Russell (Upri):

Both hit.

Timothy (DM):

Both hit Wow, okay, beautiful. That is going to be 2d8 plus 4 times 2, which is 48 plus 8. So that's gonna be 12 plus 3 is 15 plus 8 is 20. 20?

Timothy (DM):

23. 3. Thank you, cool I take 11.

Russell (Upri):

Beautiful, oh my gosh.

Timothy (DM):

I totally forgot about legendary actions last term, but that's fine, oh no, oh no. That's not reminding you.

Russell (Upri):

Rude, it still has a lot of help left I'll take care of it for now, for now.

Chris (Sal):

And that is the Lushie turn.

Timothy (DM):

So now we're up to the Woffies. There's only one on each of you, so the Woffies are gonna make their bite attacks. It's going to be a 19 on Sal, 9 on Yance, just hits.

Chris (Sal):

Just hits.

Timothy (DM):

Misses on Yance so.

Chris (Sal):

Salvador, you are going to take the.

Timothy (DM):

Woffies you are going to take. 6 plus 7 is 13 piercing damage.

Chris (Sal):

Pretty bad.

Russell (Upri):

What do you eat?

Chris (Sal):

I got 14 points left.

Russell (Upri):

Oh.

Dan (Wren):

But I got a dream.

Timothy (DM):

You're an arcanaler.

Chris (Sal):

Yeah, I got dreams coming up.

Timothy (DM):

Uprie. Yeah, what are you gonna do about it? But what this?

Russell (Upri):

Oh, I'm gonna hit it no first I summon. I'm gonna summon, I'm gonna summon. We're thinking I can't do my spirit now because we're flanking it. That's true.

Dan (Wren):

You'd hurt me with the flump.

Timothy (DM):

What's the radius of the flumps exposure?

Dan (Wren):

your call within five feet of it got a pretty good deck. Say oh yeah.

Russell (Upri):

I'm gonna summon it next to Ren, but not next to me, what the fuck. I don't really know what they are, but they keep screaming and blowing up Make a deck, save DC 17 in both of you.

Timothy (DM):

21 12 and 21, 21 you take six fours.

Dan (Wren):

You're good, you should like hit with a gust of wind, actually a little refreshing.

Russell (Upri):

I'm gonna womp it cool, does it 21?

Timothy (DM):

21 does hit. Yeah, all right, I'm covered in.

Russell (Upri):

That's 12 bludgeoning damage, and then, oh no 21 damage. Yeah. All right 12 Does a 16 hit 16 does not hit. All right, so it just takes the 12 and that is my turn All right Doing math right here.

Timothy (DM):

Math is starting to get real hard. Ren, it's your turn nice reaction.

Dan (Wren):

Did you want to use a legendary action?

Timothy (DM):

Oh yeah mistream ma'am. It's gonna try to do its murder. Crows in the cloud. What's the rain?

Timothy (DM):

yeah, like how I mean.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, well, I can hit, or it is itself. It might be a sick line because I have to like go through. Cuz we're on either side of it, I had to like send the crows through it, just saying. Do you get inspiration for geometry. Yeah, I guess you're fair and I guess have what we don't have.

Timothy (DM):

So the way that it is, worded is that it Sends a flock of crows to a point it can see within 60 feet. The crows fly in a line of 60 feet long and five feet wide. So, yeah, okay, um. So, because you're so rude, we're gonna roll to see who it points at me. It is gonna be you run.

Chris (Sal):

I don't want to die.

Timothy (DM):

All right, that's DC 18, dexterity saving throw.

Dan (Wren):

Jiminy Christmas. Okay, that's fine. Do I get advantage for some right weird reason? Okay, got it.

Timothy (DM):

No, that's an 18, you're gonna save, so you're not gonna come blind.

Dan (Wren):

Birds.

Timothy (DM):

Throw your cloak up.

Russell (Upri):

Can we get a beautiful description of these crows flying through this really heavy Warm butterflies and yeah, okay, so you're fine that is.

Timothy (DM):

Two of its legendary actions, nice is still hands one left for the round.

Dan (Wren):

Now is it my turn.

Timothy (DM):

That is your turn.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, I finally get to use my pretty new glass sword. I'm gonna use my bonus action to analyze it. You know so what I do. And then we're flanking, so I attack with advantage that is a 9 plus 16, 25 to hit. A 25 will hit. Yeah, I'm gonna use, and I'm gonna use one of my superiority dice to neural block it. You're a block it Okay. And then okay, so how many? So?

Timothy (DM):

and that prevents it from healing correct.

Dan (Wren):

Yes, that will prevent it from healing. Yeah, so that is one to 4d6 and 1d8, All right so a lot of dice. Do all of them 10, 14 plus 3 is 17 plus 5 is 22 plus 4 26 Piercing damage. All right and now. It can't heal until the end of my next or beginning of my next turn.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, so for Reference everybody.

Timothy (DM):

It's at end of my bound one-third of its health.

Timothy (DM):

Oh god, left or done, left, oh.

Timothy (DM):

I like that.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, so it's, it's. It's looking pretty beat up. The bark is torn off in chunks, have lots of broken. I mean the whole clearing is now covered in broken branches and yeah, I'm gonna slap it with my root.

Dan (Wren):

All right, slap it with that root does a 24 hit a 24, does it?

Timothy (DM):

yeah, yeah, have we figured out what it's AC is yet.

Dan (Wren):

We haven't Racking it's a secret oh my god, maybe for something I'm, that's 10 slashing damage 10 flashing damage.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, cool.

Yonce:

That brings us to yonk say all right, I am going to Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do. Not much I can really do is I can just. I'll just use elder splash on the two wolves.

Timothy (DM):

All right so.

Yonce:

So that's gonna be for 19. For one oh, I got a nap but seven, 17 plus eight is 25, so they hit both. Hit, all right, um, so One's gonna get five damage and one's gonna get seven damage. Alright, actually, one's gonna cuz never. Yeah, that's it Okay. No, because I counted wrong last turn. I had a four and it's plus four, so technically one of them should have gotten eight damage Last time, as opposed to seven.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, it's dead in any ways. Okay, that's the one that died.

Yonce:

Yeah perfect Sorry, wolfie.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, do you push them away with your blast? Do you have the repelling blast feature?

Yonce:

Um, it doesn't say it on here, so I'm assuming no, is it in your features?

Timothy (DM):

It wouldn't say on a spell.

Dan (Wren):

Futures it's one of your warlock invocation invocations.

Timothy (DM):

Do you have that invocation?

Yonce:

Let's just say no for now, because I this we'll check, we'll check.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, I think I can pull up here.

Yonce:

So let's just say no for now.

Timothy (DM):

Oh.

Yonce:

So I, they don't get pushed back, they, they just they get hurt by light all right, so that is going to bring us to Salvador.

Chris (Sal):

I'm gonna pull the group. Do we like the butterflies? Would we rather the butterflies not be here?

Timothy (DM):

kill them.

Dan (Wren):

I'm lost in the butterfly so I can't answer your question.

Yonce:

Legit just me.

Chris (Sal):

Okay, I look to Yancei. Well, that's a consensus, so I'm gonna cast drifting dreams. So everybody within 90 feet of me falls asleep. Including the two wolves, all the butterflies, the leshy and I Is there a flum?

Yonce:

no well, there's only one wolf left.

Timothy (DM):

Oh, there's only one wolf. Okay, all right, so Everybody falls asleep. Yeah, what happens?

Chris (Sal):

next, all the PC is given a nice peaceful dream when you see a messenger and the messenger is just me. I'm gonna say, hey, what's up?

Timothy (DM):

enjoy your long rest and for all the, for all the creatures and the butterflies too, and they also hear me.

Chris (Sal):

They don't know who I am, but they're still appreciative and for the wolf and the lashe and the vines. Maybe if they're sentient they get a nightmare. So the nightmare they get it's. The messenger is given ten words, but I just want those words to be.

Timothy (DM):

It's like a chain.

Russell (Upri):

And I need.

Chris (Sal):

I have to do a wisdom saving throw or wait. First the creatures have to make a wisdom saving throw.

Timothy (DM):

So the wolf and yeah, there's one of these two boats left and then a leshy.

Yonce:

Yeah, well, I thought there was only one wolf left, because we killed three of them.

Timothy (DM):

No, only killed two.

Yonce:

Okay, never mind, then I was lying. There's two left.

Timothy (DM):

There are two bullies left. Wisdom is definitely totally their forte, and that is a 19 and 11, and then the lushey is going to roll a Seven okay, great, so one of the wolves save.

Chris (Sal):

So this mind Gas mine terrifying.

Chris (Sal):

I guess that's not the this mind mind horror. It takes place. It doesn't take place in their mind, but for one of the wolves in the leshy they Don't gain any benefit from the rest and whenever they wake up they take a d8 of psychic damage and have disadvantage on all attack rolls for the next ten minutes. Oh so in addition to that, I want because this the duration of the spell can last up to eight hours I want to make it last for eleven minutes so that whenever we wake up the butterflies disappear.

Chris (Sal):

So whenever, whenever I the eleventh minute hits, the butterflies disappear. Butterfly wake up and all the player characters For the next. You all get the benefits of a long rest and you have advantage on one ability check, attack roll or saving flow you make in the next 24 hours.

Timothy (DM):

So it's actually beautiful. Yeah, does the wolfie who saved to get a long rest.

Chris (Sal):

No, uh I.

Timothy (DM):

Don't think so it doesn't get the bad because it only slaps. Doesn't get the bad, doesn't get the bad stuff cool.

Chris (Sal):

And I have to do a wisdom saving throw myself. I.

Timothy (DM):

Wrote these spells, so you'd think that I would know what they were and how they work, but no.

Chris (Sal):

I how that goes. I do not pass. I got 13 in any of the 14, so I don't gain the effects of this and I take a de-aative damage. I take seven points, which is not really good. So I'm down to your real low.

Timothy (DM):

I'm gonna long rest, right, I don't, because I failed that save oh, so I got seven points left. But because he's working real hard trying to formulate these dreams. Like make it all, like you're juggling one, two, three, four, five, six dreams. Technically the butterflies aren't.

Timothy (DM):

Sentient features.

Timothy (DM):

They're like a magic aura effect but I have to do another.

Chris (Sal):

I have to do a corruption save now and now.

Yonce:

Corruption, save, so many saves so we all go back to full health while you're almost at yeah, so if you, if you got like some soup, you can give me later. I think, I actually have a post-it better healing spell slots.

Timothy (DM):

Yes, oh yeah, I do. You get your spells and I looked at the features.

Yonce:

I do not. The eldritch blast is not. No, you don't have that eldritch blast feature.

Timothy (DM):

You do have a lot of features that Could come in clutch.

Chris (Sal):

Yes, okay, so I'm new to these because the DCs are now just your modifier, not your, your particular saving throw modifier. So I think for soul class level one and I have mild, I have no corruption yet, I just need to get a 10. I Got a natural 20, nice. So that is going to come on, jack Plus one to your will nice one more will, yeah, but I'm really weak.

Timothy (DM):

Now that's my turn all right, there is one more legendary action. Thank you, wrestle, you are so helpful. It shows that you DM. Sometimes the DMs just need little reminders is a lot of juggle.

Timothy (DM):

I mean it's only cuz I was legit DMing a legendary creature with actions last yes oh my gosh, I wish I would have known that I would try to help you out. I would just probably wasn't paying attention. Anyways, legendary action is going to be a claw attack. We're just gonna keep spreading love, and by spreading love I mean spreading it all over up, ray.

Chris (Sal):

I.

Russell (Upri):

Healed a back 113. So I rolled a four rage ends because I fell asleep.

Timothy (DM):

Yes, but I rolled a force of misses.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, yeah, that is its legendary action back up to An initiative 20, and it doesn't know that it's been neuro blocked, true?

Timothy (DM):

So it is going to again try to heal.

Timothy (DM):

It's undulating, it's trying to suck up the nutrients and for some reason you see this like bulbous, like form at the base of the trunk, but it gets stuck and you don't see any of the like healing or the growth that you saw the previous times it tried to do this.

Dan (Wren):

I lean into where an ear would be and whisper nah, bitch. Yeah, I saw where it was sucking up juices from the ground and I blocked it.

Timothy (DM):

She's nervous. Yeah, I just like slashed at its roots a little bit, which I don't know why. It would get the like Stuck form. I don't know whatever.

Dan (Wren):

I coated my Sword in a thing that cauterized plants. I don't know, I'm just yeah, it works.

Timothy (DM):

It works, it's just a thing that you can do. Yeah, it's like not magic, but it kind of yeah anyways.

Russell (Upri):

It's the.

Timothy (DM):

Lush's turn. No, you can't hit me, so it's gonna try its multi attack again, with disadvantage. So the first attack is going to be a 20.

Timothy (DM):

Oh, it does still have a plus 12 and the second one is going to be a 13 misses. So we're only gonna hit you once. You are not gonna have it cuz you haven't raged, nope. So you're gonna take 14 slashing damage. And then it is the two wuffy's turns. They are going to try to bite. So One is regular and I'm gonna roll to figure out which one is the regular. It's gonna be the one on yonce is fine, so it doesn't roll with disadvantage or jump. Unfortunately, the one on Chris is going to roll a disadvantage. So that is a three plus four is Three plus five is eight, that does not hit. And then on Yonsei, a ten plus five is fifteen, does not hit, does not hit.

Russell (Upri):

What's your AC Yonsei? Is it higher than mine?

Yonce:

It's 17.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, you also have the most hit points.

Dan (Wren):

You also have most of your damage.

Timothy (DM):

That is going to take us to operate.

Chris (Sal):

One of the creatures attack you on say yeah, I miss no. My wrath of storms which I get to use once per long rest where I get to use up to three points Through four times for the long rest, but whenever a creature within five feet of yonce is not within five pm, I mean I'm right, mmm, never mind I could be. Yeah, you got scooch over.

Yonce:

Are you still grappled?

Timothy (DM):

no oh, so you can just yeah.

Chris (Sal):

I'm just passing from a sitting position you just fell asleep in the roots.

Timothy (DM):

You're like the leshy is so there's so much going on that the leshy is like it has its grasp on you, but it's like yeah, whatever All right Upraise.

Russell (Upri):

I forgot to do my trademark thing when I raged before.

Timothy (DM):

Oh you do now if you want, you get to rage again for those so naturally.

Yonce:

What well doesn't get reset after a long rest?

Timothy (DM):

yeah, yeah it does?

Russell (Upri):

I'm gonna roll a die. Then I remember To roll. Okay, we're not flumps, okay, all right, all right, okay, okay. Okay, my weapon is just magical, even though it kind of already is.

Timothy (DM):

Anyway, Already magical.

Russell (Upri):

Um get advantage, we're flanking 25 hit a 25 does hit perfect, perfect. It takes eight bludgeoning damage, and then it's another 23 and it takes an additional Eight bludgeoning damage.

Timothy (DM):

All right, so 16 total. Yes, right, it's starting to look a little worse for wear.

Russell (Upri):

No, I rage bonus action yeah definitely a lot of broken branches.

Timothy (DM):

There's a chunk of its trunk missing bark just torn off. It's not able to heal back up. So you see like its leaves are starting to fall off.

Russell (Upri):

I feel like during this whole fight up, ria's just like low key kind of horrified because like she had so much respect for four spirits and like it was really Conflicted about killing this killer be killed.

Yonce:

It is killer be killed, we have to kill it, though, if you have an alternative.

Timothy (DM):

I think I do you can?

Timothy (DM):

you can try it. We'll be skill checks.

Yonce:

Okay, all right. It's not my turn, though, so I can't. I just want to yeah.

Timothy (DM):

I'm trying to under tail this always do other things than kill shit. Certain things are gonna be real hard, but you're always welcome to try worst case scenario I have to kill it anyway. So and nothing is impossible. Just many things are incredibly difficult. Yeah, like undertale, that's a game. Like undertale, that was a brace turn correct, which will bring us to read.

Dan (Wren):

Not yet okay, great, we're gonna neural block this motherfucker again.

Russell (Upri):

We have to reapply Yep, that's it. It's until the end of my turn.

Timothy (DM):

So if I do it again, you still can heal.

Dan (Wren):

That is a math. Oh, bonus action. Analyze it again, because I was put asleep. That is a 21 the hit that'll do it Okay, and that's all my dice again. So that's all these guys.

Timothy (DM):

Why is?

Dan (Wren):

there an extra d6 in? Oh, why is there a d8?

Timothy (DM):

Did you get one? Sorry, let me redo my math.

Timothy (DM):

There's a lot of dice going on there. It's hard to get back.

Dan (Wren):

I got sneak attack damage. I've got my sword damage and then I've got okay. So this is this is this is correct. That is not a lot because I rolled a lot of ones and twos. That is five plus four, nine plus nine, eighteen, so that's eighteen, and then I'm gonna do a nine piercing damage it cannot heal and we bonk it with the, the root, which is a 22 to hit 22 will also hit, and that is 11 slashing damage.

Timothy (DM):

All right, oh y'all, it is Getting real desperate 18 is not a lot.

Dan (Wren):

Compared to what I can do. So wait for me to surprise something as an assassin. That's an instant crit. I just double those dice. I might need to be a rogue.

Timothy (DM):

A very big rogue you just got it by like all the d6. Like, go to your local dice Stealer and just buy out their entire stock of d6. That's how you be a road.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, well, also, it helps that with my scholar abilities, like when I use a maneuver, I add a d8 and a d6 on top of what I'm doing so if. I were to like crit on a maneuver. It's like four extra dice rather than a regular attack.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, beautiful.

Chris (Sal):

Hi you've been thinking

Yonce:

over there. Yes, what are you thinking on? So I'm going to Walk up to, I'm gonna use my walk speed so I'm gonna get 30 feet closer and then I am.

Timothy (DM):

Is no longer difficult terrain.

Chris (Sal):

Are you walking away from the wolf oh?

Timothy (DM):

Wait, there's a there is a wolf on you still yeah.

Yonce:

So I'm still gonna do this. I'm not gonna walk, I'll just stay where I am. Oh, forrest spirit, leshy, me and my sister up three are residents of the enchanted forest. I know that you we have Been attacking you, but we truly mean no harm. We do not want to hurt you. Me and up, we have grown up respecting you and Respecting the spirit of this enchanted forest. If you could, just let us pass. No more killing, no more blood, no more sap will be spilled, and we promise to pass no more butterflies. No more butterflies. We will promise to pass peacefully and respect the forest, and we will plant some trees as well. Just please let us pass. We do not want to hurt you more than we already have.

Timothy (DM):

What language do you speak in? And I will let you do a Nature role in order to try to determine the appropriate language.

Yonce:

Um abilities doesn't speak playing it. You said, a nature check yeah.

Timothy (DM):

To be like Italian so it's, 22 okay you know that lushy, being a guardian of the forest, is Most likely to speak Sylvan and druidic.

Yonce:

I Don't know if I speak you have either of those languages. I don't think I do. Where could I find that?

Chris (Sal):

under abilities.

Dan (Wren):

Features of proficiency or proficiency is that makes sense proficiency in language.

Yonce:

So I speak common draconic elvish and under common Elvish could be a very rough stand-in the language barrier is going to be Considerable mm-hmm.

Timothy (DM):

So it will cause disadvantage on your persuasion check. I'm checking to see if you any other special because warlocks have lots of wild things.

Timothy (DM):

What are?

Russell (Upri):

you have a whistle speech.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah or whatever it's called languages or a spell, or I do have a pack of the talismans.

Yonce:

I'm a ability any ability check. I can add d4 to the roll and you, you've got the. I got the um leave inspiration.

Dan (Wren):

I have inspiration you have inspiration.

Timothy (DM):

You have packed the talisman. You also have Impulsion, is a thing that you have, is an invocation.

Yonce:

But wouldn't that be using a spell slot it does use a spell slot.

Timothy (DM):

And yeah, I don't see cuz sometimes cuz there are invocations that like let you comprehending which speak in tongue, shit like that. But yeah, so You're gonna make a persuasion check with disadvantage, but then you can use your persuasion or inspiration if you fail and you have a d4 to add to the roll.

Yonce:

Lord, this app is very Act. Wait, where is it persuasion? Check, there we go. One was a nine and one was a seven. So seven plus this is seven plus four is eleven plus Four.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, it's 15, 15 okay, I'm gonna say that's gonna fail the persuasion. Mm-hmm, would you like to use inspiration?

Yonce:

Sure.

Timothy (DM):

Is that roll with?

Yonce:

disadvantage.

Dan (Wren):

Yes, you read, just re-roll with disadvantage.

Chris (Sal):

Yeah, we roll.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, it's just one more roll.

Chris (Sal):

Well, if he, if he, if they would have used it before, it would have been a regular roll.

Russell (Upri):

But they would use new inspiration where it's just yeah, this is just a real okay, yeah, just re-roll exact same roll yeah all right.

Yonce:

Well, one's eight and one's 18.

Timothy (DM):

So, 18.

Yonce:

Eight plus four is 12 plus Four is 16 16. So that did not also help either.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, so in my head I was setting this as a pretty hard DC. I was shooting for an 18, all right, and there are reasons behind that. So if Because everybody can now see and hear if the four of you can figure out what it is that is causing this Aggression, you can roll. If you would like to try to suss out certain pieces of information In order to aid in this conversation, because I have.

Yonce:

I've only attacked the wolves. I actually haven't attacked leshy at all, besides the branch to get free. So my thought is I'm not trying to actually harm the Spirit. Yeah, yeah.

Dan (Wren):

I mean, and, like Ren, just sees a monster. Ren doesn't know the forest well enough to know that this is a monster, Okay but Hearing that, what kind of role could I make to determine why this weird behavior?

Timothy (DM):

do you speak elvin? Because that's the language that you would have used, yonsei. So you, basically, would have been attempting to use elvin to communicate to it, knowing that it knows silvin, which is elvin is a Derivative derivative of silvin.

Chris (Sal):

Are we still in battle?

Timothy (DM):

initiative technically, yes, but If you have, if you want to do roles for like different skill checks, to recall information, to try to pieces together in the moment.

Yonce:

Because we did start in Madeus rays, so we actually.

Dan (Wren):

I do speak out.

Timothy (DM):

Yes, you do speak relish, so you understood what yonsei said.

Timothy (DM):

Mm-hmm.

Timothy (DM):

So you understand what yonsei is attempting to do.

Dan (Wren):

Couldn't investigation role help us?

Timothy (DM):

it could, I would probably argue in sight or Arcana would be stronger. Not nature nature potentially, yeah, okay, yeah, I think nature could work, yeah.

Dan (Wren):

I will try and nature check man. All right that's 12, 12. Yeah, I Know, oh wait, no, I get it. You said I could roll with it.

Chris (Sal):

Yeah, your dream thing, yeah, the dream thing.

Timothy (DM):

I'm gonna do the dream thing. Oh, do you wanna roll another in advantage?

Dan (Wren):

I rolled a three on that one, so it's a. It's a 12.

Yonce:

I could wait. Do I have to roll two dice or just one?

Timothy (DM):

so Okay, so the basically what would have happened is you had disadvantage and advantage. They would have cancelled each other out. It would have been one dice in one dice, mm-hmm each time, and then like one dice for your original role, one dice because you used Inspiration. And so if you roll, Just like one more time.

Dan (Wren):

I think that would be the math. One more time dice with just it.

Yonce:

No, just a right, just a right Okay.

Timothy (DM):

I think that's the math that makes this.

Yonce:

You're old, you're old. Is that a nine or six?

Timothy (DM):

Where's the dot on the bottom?

Russell (Upri):

It's a nine.

Yonce:

So nine plus four is 13, plus one is 15.

Chris (Sal):

Can I do?

Dan (Wren):

I rolled trash too, so I know nothing you know, nothing from my sitting position, 60 feet away. Next to a wolf.

Chris (Sal):

As is being a steward at the, the Esmer gosh.

Timothy (DM):

I'll mirror.

Chris (Sal):

I Was working in the gardens. Could I do a nature check to see?

Timothy (DM):

is there something weird like yeah?

Chris (Sal):

like root rot or it's got like a something stuck in its priors. Okay, no, that's a four. Yeah, do we five, do we?

Timothy (DM):

see a bicycle handle that we can grab on to and

Russell (Upri):

pull out.

Timothy (DM):

No, you do not see a bicycle, but we have one last person who could try to aid in the situation. Up re what?

Russell (Upri):

where's Alice? Oh, upper, he has a plan, but it needs to be dead or dying.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, so you don't want to try to aid in the situation session. Do you know elvish?

Russell (Upri):

No, I know.

Timothy (DM):

You hear?

Russell (Upri):

you on say start goblin.

Yonce:

Okay, so this is what we pause. You can telepathically speak to any creature you see within 30 feet of you. If it all never mind. You said that, continue.

Timothy (DM):

I'm reading if it understands the language. Yeah, that's why, all right. So this is what happened, because you're gonna fail your persuasion check. So it is not gonna end combat. You're still stuck in combat, but it is going to respond to you yet Say and it is gonna respond in Sylvan, because that is the closest language that it knows and Attempt to. I'm gonna make it do a role as well to decipher what you said to it.

Timothy (DM):

So it's gonna have a pretty rough understanding of what you said to it and it's going to return a pretty rough Response to you. But what you are gonna make out from said response is is the corruption must be destroyed.

Russell (Upri):

Well corrupted.

Yonce:

It's just us. We we're the problem.

Timothy (DM):

Yes.

Yonce:

Kai. So with that, yonsei is going to immediately understand and shed a tear and say I'm sorry, and then I am going to cast.

Russell (Upri):

I'm gonna cast banishment.

Timothy (DM):

Oh all right, what do I roll?

Yonce:

it needs to be a charisma's dease as a charisma of 16. Over six plus zero, it fails so it goes, and it just I don't. So it sends into another plane of existence.

Chris (Sal):

For one minute for one minute.

Timothy (DM):

All right, and it is originally from this plane, so it will return back here and you know that. Yeah, you have one minute to make yourselves very scarce. What do you all do?

Russell (Upri):

I get ready to hit it when it comes to the roots go with it or they're just still there.

Timothy (DM):

They would have.

Yonce:

And it's a harmless demi plane.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, so they would still be there. Yeah, oh.

Dan (Wren):

I'm no longer woody. I forgot that, oops Because we just have we slept in, it would have yeah, oh, the ten.

Timothy (DM):

I go see um. So what are y'all doing? You have a minute.

Chris (Sal):

I'm gonna take care of this wolf. It's still. Oh wait, when you pass the spell.

Yonce:

Using the fifth slot, you can target one additional creature for each slow, so I'm also gonna target the wolf Um.

Timothy (DM):

It is an 18.

Yonce:

It fails, I mean it passes one 19.

Timothy (DM):

There's one it's a plus one, no sorry, minus two, never mind 16. I was looking at wisdom, but mines is a 16 something.

Yonce:

It does that. Pass it Okay.

Timothy (DM):

Alright, what do you do, salvador?

Chris (Sal):

I'm gonna use the because my my Call of lightning is about to expire, because it slept for a little over 10 minutes so puppy dire wolf is Gonna gosh. I think they have to do it x 30, saving throw, all right.

Dan (Wren):

There's some of the lightning bull on this poor.

Chris (Sal):

A 13 that's not it's day.

Timothy (DM):

Barrel full dice.

Chris (Sal):

That's gonna be 23 points of lightning damage. All right, it's not actually big dud, I'm gonna use my channel to divinity to roll max damage to. So it takes 40 points.

Timothy (DM):

That'll max dead it.

Chris (Sal):

Okay, it's dead as its body goes, life is we project away.

Timothy (DM):

Oh, it's also pushed away. So lightning and it just, and you have, you have to get going what happened?

Dan (Wren):

What's going on so?

Yonce:

I'm going to explain to them that in my translation. Well, you can't you know, cuz it's spoken Elvis. Yeah, but what you do to it. It's gone. I banished it. Oh so we only have a minute to get out of this area. I don't know if it's gonna return or find us, but I'm giving us some time, okay, to get away. So we could just book it for a minute. Well, we have the first gate. We have to make sure that Sal is out of the branches.

Chris (Sal):

I'm still here. I waved through a pile.

Timothy (DM):

No, it got the. Those are attached to it.

Chris (Sal):

So I thought you said that they stayed.

Yonce:

That's why I heard to oh.

Timothy (DM):

The branches on the ground stay one, the one difficult terrain is what I was. I thought you were asking about.

Chris (Sal):

Oh difficult terrain is there, but you are no longer great, perfect, I stand up and I jog over to the group.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, that went with it, cuz that was attached and you all bolt out into the forest. Double-dash, you like to exist dash you're like throwing yourself through the bushes. The brambles are cutting across your cheek and as this is happening.

Yonce:

I'm explaining what it's. What it said being like the corruption must end, which means us. It was attacking us because we were disturbing the forest, because we are all corrupted in some way of form.

Chris (Sal):

That's fair yeah it's very perceptive for a tree guardian.

Yonce:

So we need to get to the, the treehouse, to sweet. All right, so I French doesn't exist in this, actually, as it does, because there's Louis the chef so it does when?

Chris (Sal):

where are Alice?

Timothy (DM):

and yeah, yes, okay, so yeah, we did a little bit of a jump ahead, cuz combat was Exciting. So what has happened is, as you are venturing out into the enchanted forest towards the tree house, that cast false light.

Timothy (DM):

You did split ways with Alice and Akilah, beefcake Brand and Zaheer. You sent them to go directly to the underkeep. Well, you took a short detour because you didn't want to like basically, well, mechanically, we didn't want to bring like 800 people to go meet 800 other people because that's a lot of NPCs. So you sent them away to meet them later in the underkeep.

Chris (Sal):

So all the NPCs are on a boat.

Timothy (DM):

So all the NPCs are on a boat, Okay to the underkeep. Not really on a boat, because they're in the middle of a forest, okay, but theoretically A boat with wheels.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, a land boat, A land boat pulled by a horse.

Timothy (DM):

But, also it's safer for them to take a direct route. The enchanted forest is dangerous. Zaheer is a little bit of a liability because he's a, not a, fighter.

Chris (Sal):

Not your commoner boyfriend. Is Dizlaia and Zaheer there on the same trip?

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, yep.

Dan (Wren):

Oh the drama. So they get to talk to each other, Get to chat with each other.

Timothy (DM):

They're gonna get all caught up.

Dan (Wren):

You should have kept your boyfriend a secret.

Chris (Sal):

Yeah, well we'll come to that bridge whenever we burn it.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Technically Desmond, and you never had a conversation about that, so like.

Timothy (DM):

You just assumed You're gonna find out.

Timothy (DM):

Potentially, you're gonna potentially find out how Desmond views your relationship. Yeah, well, all right, I am gonna put ours on a short little break. Sounds like a great idea, Um, because we are done with combat. But before we do that, I would like you all to make a stealth check.

Dan (Wren):

Stealth check.

Chris (Sal):

You know Heavy armor.

Russell (Upri):

Can I can I no.

Chris (Sal):

And you have advantage if you haven't used it already.

Russell (Upri):

We'll do the advantage.

Timothy (DM):

And this is to avoid the lushie being able to find you when it returns from the dummy plane that it was banished to.

Yonce:

I got a 15. A 15?.

Russell (Upri):

Yes, eight.

Timothy (DM):

Eight 24.

Chris (Sal):

24. Seven.

Timothy (DM):

Seven Cook, cook, cook, cook cook All right with that piece of information simmering in all of our minds.

Timothy (DM):

We are gonna go on a short break.

Russell (Upri):

Why are we so stomping, say oh, bye, bye, we'll be back in five minutes.

Timothy (DM):

Five. Hello, welcome back. Okay, so we left after our party, ran off into the forest and did a stealth check.

Chris (Sal):

Great, it was fantastic.

Timothy (DM):

It was a great, fantastic stealth check.

Dan (Wren):

And I need to make a wisdom saving throw for using a soul class ability right, yes, you do so and I just wanna make sure I'm rolling the right, aiming for the right number, because I am, as a soul class, spell level two and I have no corruption at the moment.

Timothy (DM):

So sorry. Quick clarification Are you doing a wisdom save as part of the spell or you're doing the corruption save, the corruption save, okay. So corruption save is not wisdom anymore. We changed that because we found out that is balanced.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah so just d20 plus proficiency, but I'm aiming for an 11, it looks like yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Because you yes, correct.

Dan (Wren):

Oh, I almost missed it. I rolled a 12. Yeah, so I'm okay.

Yonce:

So don't you get one will. Oh, do I get a will from that.

Timothy (DM):

Oh, so I'm rereading everything I wrote because, it's complicated cause, of course, it is Okay. So corruption saves, you get one freebie, which we did last season. Sure, oh, that's why it still says wisdom save in the instructions.

Timothy (DM):

That's okay.

Timothy (DM):

But we are clearing that up so. But I rolled a 12, so I'm, you are no, you all are at spell your soul class spell level.

Chris (Sal):

Is two right For that particular spell, for that particular spell is Two, two.

Timothy (DM):

okay, so you are at no corruption, right, so it's an 11.

Dan (Wren):

So it is 11, you're correct, so do I gain a will.

Timothy (DM):

So you will gain, will Okay.

Dan (Wren):

Connect that five to make it a six.

Timothy (DM):

I still don't know what will does, but we're good yeah for some reason I have this like slight inclination to complicate shit in D&D more than it already was. Russell does the same thing. The other two that I have seen DM are don't usually do that. Y'all are pretty good about.

Dan (Wren):

No, I just make everything up as I go.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, you kind of wing it. I want to write my own system that operates in conjunction to it.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, basically, I have seen some wild examples of home brain where people are basically creating new systems that sit on top of D&D. I'm not that bad, I promise. I think so. We're running away, so you're running away.

Timothy (DM):

We're really focused today. If you hadn't noticed, we are so focused today.

Timothy (DM):

It's fine and we're running away and you are throwing yourself through every hedge, fern bush, all of the underbrush. You feel it whipping across your face, you feel it tearing at your flesh and you are breathing heavily because you were just trying to get the fuck out of there. And then you hear the noise of the Lushies roar.

Timothy (DM):

Oh shit, which I don't remember what it was probably something along the lines of the roar.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, who knew she could add so much bass to her voice?

Timothy (DM):

She projected I have bass. I don't know what you're talking about, Anyways you hear it a minute behind you A minute. Oh, okay, in terms of how fast you all run. What is its movement?

Russell (Upri):

It's a Lushie, not a Lushie.

Timothy (DM):

Its movement speed is Unlisted, unless it knows like. For some reason. On this piece of paper.

Russell (Upri):

I almost imagine it would, given how its vines operate in the ground. Yeah, does it have tree stride.

Timothy (DM):

It does Not have tree stride Bless. I do have some spells, though that I didn't use, but that's fine. They're not that exciting. Okay, and its speed is Question mark.

Chris (Sal):

Well, the thing was already down to a third of its health. It was actually really low.

Timothy (DM):

You were at like an eighth of its health.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, and if it's intelligent you actually almost killed it.

Timothy (DM):

One more round, it would have been done. So it is going to let out that roar and you, there's this like so this is what we're gonna do. As this roar just like reverberates through the forest, you hear the forest goes silent For like a little moment and then you feel this like creeping sense that everything in your surrounding has focused in on your location. Oh shit. So as the sounds of the forest begin to pick back up, you hear this like wave of sound that starts to grow towards you. What do you all do? Run away from it.

Dan (Wren):

Run away from it. Where is a wave A?

Timothy (DM):

wave of, like rodents the entire forest. Oh so it's all directions, seems to be coming towards you. I mean literally some in wolves and ravens and butterflies yeah totally that was it.

Yonce:

Well, we should be running towards the tree house.

Chris (Sal):

Do you know how's your geography skill how?

Dan (Wren):

close are we?

Russell (Upri):

Geography doesn't really work here, remember.

Yonce:

It's more of a feeling. I have a feeling that we're not too close, but we're close enough that we could make it.

Chris (Sal):

That's reassuring.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, we feel close.

Dan (Wren):

DM Any input here.

Timothy (DM):

Sorry, I want to just keep you on the edge of your seats a little bit.

Timothy (DM):

I want to see how uncomfortable you all look.

Chris (Sal):

Okay, should we go for high ground.

Dan (Wren):

The trees you mean.

Yonce:

Yeah, I mean anything the forest touch less. She can control essentially anything in the forest. So we won't be safe until we at least get to some.

Timothy (DM):

I'm going to base my answer on a survival check. Can I help?

Chris (Sal):

You can give your aid.

Timothy (DM):

What's your survival?

Chris (Sal):

I got a plus eight to survival.

Timothy (DM):

Holy shit.

Dan (Wren):

I was in the army. It's like magical survival. I got a plus zero.

Yonce:

Well, I got a 14 plus five, that's 19. 19 plus eight, that's 27. Gorgeous.

Russell (Upri):

Oh, wow we find next to us.

Dan (Wren):

Oh wait, there's the tree now.

Timothy (DM):

So, yes, you do know you've been traveling for a couple of days. You've run into, like, throughout the last couple of days, the forest, as I said, has felt like it has turned on you. You kept running into nolls, dire wolves, bears. Normally when you lived here. You go out in the woods. You don't run into all that much. Most things leave you the fuck alone. There's the occasional thing that will attack if it's territorial.

Timothy (DM):

Try to hunt it, but you live here exactly.

Timothy (DM):

But it has been like constant encounter after encounter after encounter for days. But you have managed to navigate quite successfully, and it wasn't until you were reaching the heart of the forest, which is near where the treehouse is, that the lushie attacked, and so you could potentially sprint off. It'd probably take you about 20 minutes.

Russell (Upri):

I don't know, yann, we shouldn't bring this thing to our home. Yeah, the others could more than help, but why give them the hassle?

Yonce:

I just don't want to kill a for its spirit.

Russell (Upri):

I know, but I think I might have a solution to that. It doesn't quite kill it. But also, we shouldn't show up to our family home for the first time in five years and be like hey guys can you help us?

Yonce:

And then, he's trying to kill us. Dad, help Yann say size.

Russell (Upri):

We're close, yann, don't worry.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, any other options in your arsenal?

Chris (Sal):

I got spiritual guardian, so if it gets close to us we can at least have a protective person to help us. Guardian of faith.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, we get ready to ambush it.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, boost me up into a tree. Perfect, everyone hands in.

Russell (Upri):

One, two, ooey, ooey, you all now have an extra 1d3 to all attack and ability rolls for the next 10 minutes.

Dan (Wren):

Oh, and I wait how long. We have about a minute. Hold on, I want to give somebody guidance. If we have a minute, at least I could use my sage advice so that people can add their proficiency.

Russell (Upri):

I'll see y'all. Hands are cold. That's from.

Chris (Sal):

Jesus, yeah, bad circulation Would we like to false life.

Yonce:

I already did it when we were around. You just do it all the time now. Yeah, it just assumed that I'm doing it after battle.

Dan (Wren):

I'm going to explain to everybody how to be stealthy with my sage advice. I will help people hide, which will let you add your proficiency bonus to your stealth check.

Chris (Sal):

Okay, oh, I'm going to cast a guy that's not myself.

Russell (Upri):

What's your proficiency bonus now?

Dan (Wren):

Or double their proficiency. If you're already proficient, yeah in stealth.

Timothy (DM):

Would you like to spend the next minute hiding like prepping?

Dan (Wren):

for me, that's what Ren's going to do.

Timothy (DM):

That's what Ren would like to do, okay.

Dan (Wren):

Scramble of a tree.

Russell (Upri):

I remember we all have 1d3 to everything we do basically, except saving throws.

Timothy (DM):

Gorgeous. Is there anybody who isn't hiding?

Chris (Sal):

I'm going to I guess we need bait. Yeah, I'll be the bait you have. I don't have a lot of hit points.

Russell (Upri):

I will be bait it has a spell on me to do prairie healing.

Yonce:

I can be the bait. I have full health plus false life.

Russell (Upri):

Okay, I mean, maybe I should be the bait.

Dan (Wren):

With my.

Russell (Upri):

I have like a 20 in stealth but it's fine.

Dan (Wren):

Everybody else hide. Everybody else hide.

Russell (Upri):

Okay, as the resident as someone who's unfortunately down to 99 hit points 99. I know so low. I will stand in the clear and bait it out.

Dan (Wren):

I'm going to put branches over Sal to help him hide, all right, I'm not going to move.

Yonce:

I'm going to use my eldest blast to blast myself up a tree.

Chris (Sal):

Yes, yes, yes.

Timothy (DM):

Okay.

Timothy (DM):

So you go up in the tree, do all these things, okay, so this is a prepared stealth and you aren't like moving right now, Like you are going and hiding, like this is a fully blown hide, so everybody will have advantage. If you had disadvantage, it's going to be canceled out. Yes, and then you get your sage advice bonus.

Dan (Wren):

So for one ability check, you get to add your proficiency bonus or double your proficiency bonus if you already have our proficiency.

Timothy (DM):

Beautiful and if you would like to use the bonus from a prey which is a D4.

Russell (Upri):

D3. D3.

Timothy (DM):

So you roll a D6 divided by two.

Russell (Upri):

Round down Round down.

Yonce:

I'm confused on what's happening now?

Timothy (DM):

There's a lot of hide, so roll a stealth. No.

Yonce:

I got that part. I mean like all the rolls and stuff like that, yeah, Roll a stealth with disadvantage or with advantage.

Timothy (DM):

Then add your proficiency, all right.

Yonce:

So 15 plus three is 18, plus four is 22.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, so don't worry about using Uppry's guidance. Is that guidance?

Russell (Upri):

Magical bolstering.

Timothy (DM):

Magical bolstering, so I can either give people one D3 or give back spell slots. Okay, so you can still hold on to that.

Yonce:

Actually, can you give me back my spell slot?

Russell (Upri):

I have a fourth one, so I'll slap you and give you back Roll a D3. I'll slap you again.

Yonce:

I got a six. That's not.

Russell (Upri):

D3. Oh, I don't know how to work with you, because you can only recover level three spell slots, of which we have none, oh yeah so never mind, you can just save it.

Timothy (DM):

Oh, that's weird.

Russell (Upri):

One, two, three.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah.

Chris (Sal):

I don't know how that works. Wouldn't they just get a third level? I mean, ideally for a warlock you get a fifth level spell, but yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Warlocks get their spell slots back on short rest too. So this is not a short rest, unfortunately.

Dan (Wren):

So I don't think I count, I don't think it works, so I don't think it will work for you.

Russell (Upri):

I slap sale, you get a level three spell slot back.

Chris (Sal):

Oh, perfect, or two or one, whatever you want, because that's what I use. I use a third level, yeah.

Timothy (DM):

So you're well in head. You got 22. Okay, 16., 16., 25. And 25. Okay, you're welcome, thank you. Would Ren, would you like to use the bolstering magic I already did? That was a.

Timothy (DM):

That's what's the bolstering manage magic.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, 16. I'm too busy helping other people, all right, 16.

Russell (Upri):

Can I roll an intimidation to draw it in Just like scream, sure Cool, I already did. It was a 24.

Timothy (DM):

All right, 24. So you are the bait, bait, bait, bait. Anyways, this is what happens. You all ran, you're trying to hide, you're prepping because you hear this growing, just like all of the sounds of the forests are getting louder and louder and louder. It feels like everything from every direction is coming towards you, including the leshy. So you just hear the shrubs crunching sticks, breaking leaves falling, cracking of branches as they push through the trees, and then the lumbering sound of the leshy making its way towards you. And that is when, uppery, as it comes into sight, you see it between the branches, the breaks in the branches of the canopy. You let out your roar. Are you raging?

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, I'll rage to start combat.

Timothy (DM):

And so roll initiative again, because we are going to go back into combat.

Dan (Wren):

Perfect and an 18.

Timothy (DM):

18 in front of the door.

Russell (Upri):

How far away is it, so we'll say that, what is your furthest attack?

Timothy (DM):

Or? I'll let you pick what distance you do your bait roar 30 feet, 30 feet so you wait for it to be pretty close because you had rolled a good stealth check.

Russell (Upri):

I did, but then I also screamed really loud.

Timothy (DM):

So you waited until it got into the distance you wanted it.

Russell (Upri):

Can it make a DC 17 con save?

Timothy (DM):

Yes, it can, so I'll do that, and then it is going to be a 18.

Russell (Upri):

It passes.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, so nothing, nothing, all right. So everybody, give me your initiative.

Yonce:

I had a 19., 18., 18., 12., 14., 12 and 14.

Timothy (DM):

All right, get my little initiative tents up real quick. And the Lushies going again. First, because I rolled an at 20 plus minus one, technically so 19. So Yonsei goes first Yonsei goes first. If you would choose to do so, you could also stay hidden.

Yonce:

I am not going to stay hidden. I am going to use poison spray and it needs a con save of 16.

Timothy (DM):

A con save of 16. All right, it's going to get a 17.

Yonce:

So I can't do anything yeah.

Timothy (DM):

It has a plus five to con.

Yonce:

All right, then that's it. That's all I can do.

Timothy (DM):

All right, the Lushies turn and we're going to say that this is technically a surprise. Well, not a surprise round, but we're not going to have its initiative 20 go. It's a rare action because it wasn't prepared to have a rare action.

Russell (Upri):

Over here Twiggy.

Timothy (DM):

All right, it is going to start barreling towards a pre and it's going to get real close because it just really wants to make sure it hits. So it's going to make a multi attack on you Roll the one and a two. Plus 12 is. Both times 13 and 14.

Timothy (DM):

So it misses. Yeah, you suck.

Russell (Upri):

Can we say that? As it charges me a sidestep and then just whack it on the butt with Fern and it kind of stumbles a little, I want to taunt it as much as possible, as much as possible.

Timothy (DM):

It whips around and is trying to swing at you. It's all disoriented, it's falling apart and it is.

Dan (Wren):

Runs turn. Did it see me? Because I know I had an OK stealth check.

Timothy (DM):

Is a passive perception of 18. It would have seen me then so it sees you. Damn it. You don't know that it sees you. Yeah, I know.

Dan (Wren):

But that means I don't get my fun assassin things, because if it's a prize that I do. I'm still standing within melee, that's true, so I do get my sneak attack. I am going to do that thing that you do when you're a kid and hang by your knees on a branch. So I'm going to fall backwards with my bow and shoot at it.

Russell (Upri):

My fat ass never did that as a kid, but no, I don't do it Does a.

Dan (Wren):

Oh, I'm going to analyze it first. Obviously Does a dirty 20 hit, I'm assuming.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, yeah it does For now a dirty 20 will hit.

Timothy (DM):

For now For now For this combat. Eventually, that's going to be a thing that doesn't hit, and it's going to be. That's going to be a day 15 piercing damage 15 piercing damage. Ok, so close to death.

Dan (Wren):

And then I would like to. I'm going to try and hide again. I'm using my bonus action to hide back up in the tree Scamper, back up into the tree.

Chris (Sal):

You just do like a one.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, you just falling falling shooting and then coming back around.

Timothy (DM):

That is a 24 to hide this time.

Dan (Wren):

Up into the foliage South at all.

Chris (Sal):

I love that. I'm going to shoot it. Twiggy is the area and I'm going to do a guy.

Yonce:

A bolt, that's funny.

Chris (Sal):

That's going to be a 23 to hit. A 23 will do it, and it's going to do 15 points of rating and damage as it punctures its chest.

Timothy (DM):

Finish it.

Chris (Sal):

Oh man, so the light burst. Sal merges from his cocoon of branching off. It flings off and I hold out my hand with my spell casting, focus on it and light emits from my palm and sort of like a laser beam of white light, as sort of like singes a hole right through the chest cavity of the lashy.

Timothy (DM):

And it is like you pummel through it. It freezes up and then it doesn't really have a face, so you can't really see his expressions, but you feel like it's almost like teetering backwards and then it collapses forward onto the ground. You hear the crashing of its body hitting the dirt and the moss of the forest floor, the snapping of branches, and then you hear all of the because they have these like branches grasping out into the forest are pulling down trees as it falls and collapses to the ground dead.

Russell (Upri):

Can I try a thing? Yeah, can I take Fern and shove it in the hole? That's made and try to like channel my magic into Fern and encourage her to absorb the lashy and grow.

Chris (Sal):

Is that Fern like? Absorbs dead people? Yeah, she's eating bodies.

Russell (Upri):

She has eaten bodies.

Timothy (DM):

Have we given that enough factors, just like a flavor? No, this has just been flavor, just flavor thing.

Russell (Upri):

But you said we might get magic weapons soon, and I only have a plus one, so All right, same Wow. The dust is just getting in our eyes down here, oh my God, it's going to happen.

Timothy (DM):

Our problem is you're going to go someplace where there's things and stuff.

Russell (Upri):

You know it makes sense, I promise so what do I roll to absorb the forest spirit? It is not possible.

Timothy (DM):

I'm going to ask for a compounded nature arcana.

Russell (Upri):

Okay, so one roll. I'm going to add my D3. Both bonuses.

Timothy (DM):

No, it's in like, give me two separate roles.

Russell (Upri):

Oh, okay, and we'll do arcana, that is a 15 for arcana. Oh nice, they're both minus one and that is a 17 for nature, so Spicy.

Timothy (DM):

Nice strong roles. So we will talk after this session to figure out mechanically how this affects things.

Russell (Upri):

Role playing wise. I just like want Fern to glow and I want to see the energy getting absorbed, like into roots, upper trunk, and I'll say you will live on with us.

Timothy (DM):

And you absorb the soul of the forest spirit, soul Wait a minute With the big eyes, maybe, oh. You could think of it as now you are the steward of the soul. I don't know.

Timothy (DM):

I'm just.

Timothy (DM):

However, you need to twist this to rationalize your actions.

Dan (Wren):

This means Fern is going to grow into other people in there.

Russell (Upri):

Wait Fern are you?

Dan (Wren):

Oh God, fern is a leshy. Oh my God, what a twist that would be.

Timothy (DM):

I definitely am not writing.

Yonce:

Can you?

Timothy (DM):

talk to her right now.

Russell (Upri):

Not with words, but like she helps me detect magic.

Yonce:

basically, so Fern is the armack of this game. How many souls.

Timothy (DM):

Oh my gosh.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, so with that, the death of the spirit guardian of the forest, everything falls into a calm. We are raising our hand. I just want to interrupt.

Dan (Wren):

Ren is just going to go through the leshy's body or what's left of it after Fern absorbs. However, fern absorbs and just look for like leaves or herbs or like bark pieces, things that you could use in like medicine or all chemical things, because the leshy is a plant essentially and I work with a lot of plants. So I'm going to see if I can gather some stuff and maybe study them later to see if I can get any extra bitties out of them.

Timothy (DM):

All right, give me a nature check or an alchemy check.

Dan (Wren):

Alchemy? Yeah, don't you have an alchemist. I have medicine. I have a medicine pack.

Timothy (DM):

You don't have proficiency in like an alchemist kit.

Russell (Upri):

I have an herbalist kit.

Timothy (DM):

Or herbalist kit. Is that what it's called?

Chris (Sal):

There aren't. Yeah, If you have proficiency in herbalist kit.

Dan (Wren):

My proficiency is in a medicine kit. Medicine's different, yeah, so I don't rule nature, then I'm not a.

Russell (Upri):

You can Wait with nature. Nature or herbalism. Herbalism would be a plus four. Okay, Herbalist kit.

Dan (Wren):

Can I add herbalism kit to my nature rule? Okay, then that is an 18.

Timothy (DM):

An 18. All right, yeah, again, we can talk a little bit about mechanically what that means in terms of what you're able to collect.

Russell (Upri):

I just got a little bag of lushy

Dan (Wren):

parts.

Timothy (DM):

But you do. You're kind of excited about it because you know about lushy, certain properties that you could potentially derive from its parts. Well, it's not like how that sounded and, yeah, you're very excited about what potential medicines you could concoct.

Russell (Upri):

Excellent.

Chris (Sal):

And can I Sorry, do you have dialogue after this that you're intending to get to? No, okay, can I?

Timothy (DM):

You're in the middle of the woods with the four of you.

Yonce:

We can talk to each other and actually gotten quiet and calm.

Timothy (DM):

It does not sound like the entire forest is coming towards you anymore.

Chris (Sal):

That's good. Can I investigate this body to see if there's anything unnatural about it, Like there's? A gem jammed into its skull.

Russell (Upri):

Give me an investigation. Okay, we just completely dismantled. Yeah Well, I feel like I would If I came across something that was odd.

Dan (Wren):

I would have pointed it out.

Chris (Sal):

I got natural ones, I don't. No, this looks like a big plant to me, guys.

Dan (Wren):

It is big plant. Oh sorry, Go ahead.

Yonce:

I'm just going to look at all of y'all. I'm just going to be like what are y'all doing? This is a spirit. Respect its body. That's it. That's all I say. Yeah.

Russell (Upri):

We're going to use its body to respectfully save the world.

Yonce:

I roll my eyes and I keep moving.

Timothy (DM):

I jump out the tree and I just start walking towards the treehouse.

Dan (Wren):

Can I assist in the investigation or do my own investigation check while I'm rummaging through the body?

Timothy (DM):

Yeah.

Dan (Wren):

You can Inspire. Oh my God, I rolled a two, but that's a 14.

Timothy (DM):

You don't find anything out of the word in there. It's a lushy Just got my sticks, minus some parts.

Yonce:

And also remember I said that I had a clear the corruption. We are the corruption.

Dan (Wren):

That's what I explained. Yeah, well, what we I?

Chris (Sal):

thought it could also have been corrupted itself. Yeah.

Dan (Wren):

There could have been something inside of it, but nothing to be found here.

Timothy (DM):

All right, what would you like to do? You're about 20 minutes away from the treehouse. Night is falling.

Dan (Wren):

Just hustle it over to the treehouse then.

Timothy (DM):

Yep.

Russell (Upri):

Just going home after so long, so many things happened. Are you guys?

Dan (Wren):

excited to see your family. It is so exciting.

Chris (Sal):

Families. Yeah, they kept your rooms the same. They haven't redecorated.

Yonce:

Well, I have my own hut behind the yeah, so Yance has her own hut, but everyone else sleeps in a bunk room situation Like it's just a sleeping quarters with lots of beds I have its own hut because I didn't want to live with the strays after. I failed my search for uppery so I, with help, I, built a hut, and that's why I'm in the back of the treehouse.

Dan (Wren):

Gotcha, gotcha. All right, I'm sure it's going to be a lovely reunion. I'm sure Ren is trying.

Timothy (DM):

I'm sure it's going to be absolutely wonderful. So now, with like a little sense of relief, you're able to make your way towards the treehouse. If you I mean you can go at whatever pace you would like, but I am going to say that it can be pretty leisurely if you would like. You don't need a bus to ask to get there.

Chris (Sal):

Hey, we might get a glimpse. Yeah, let's go see what it's all about. I'm excited.

Dan (Wren):

This treehouse. I've never seen a treehouse of the size that you always talk about, so I'm excited to see what things are like. I've heard there's a chore wheel.

Chris (Sal):

Yeah, that chore wheel has been destroyed for over five years. Oh, no chores. Hey, that's perfect.

Yonce:

No, probably Nim. Nim has probably created a new one but, yeah. I'm a little nervous. It's been well. It's been over five years now, because we also got stuck in that. Well, viewers who didn't listen into last season me, blades and Sarelli also got stuck in some mushrooms that a year passed by, so it's been over.

Dan (Wren):

Oh, I forgot about that the time dilation mushrooms.

Yonce:

So it's been well, I guess. For me it's been probably a couple of years, for you it's been over, like probably, depending on how much time we spent in broken glass city. Probably almost seven or eight, yeah, yeah.

Chris (Sal):

I got a timeline.

Dan (Wren):

Like I said, an exciting reunion for everybody.

Russell (Upri):

But as we approach the treehouse, Uppry will call out.

Dan (Wren):

Nim Nim Sen. Al Mermer Marn. I'm home.

Yonce:

And I'm also going to yell, I'm also here.

Russell (Upri):

Oh yeah, I brought.

Yonce:

Yon.

Timothy (DM):

You call out to the tree house which, for the people who have never been here before, it is an oversized Echondra tree, so has these it's tattooed on my chest.

Timothy (DM):

Which is also tattooed on Yancei's chest, so you've seen this type of tree before. In the tattoo format it has the. It has these beautiful blue flowers, giant bows that hold three structures, three structures that hounds multiple people. It is an enormous tree house. It has a big mess hall, the leisure hut, the sleeping quarters. There's a shed out back and then you see like a little hut tucked away in the bushes, just a little glimpse of it. It's a little bit removed from the tree house itself and there is this like winding grand staircase of shaped wood that leads up into the mess hall, the main section of the tree house, as well as rope ladders that come down from each section. There's like a little gangplank around each of the different structures, walkways that connect them all and you call out. It's oddly quiet for this time in the evening. Wouldn't they be having dinner?

Yonce:

If you killed off our family, I will. I am not coming back.

Dan (Wren):

Holy shit, that's one house.

Russell (Upri):

Right, ain't it cozy? And no neighbors, that's great.

Chris (Sal):

Yeah.

Russell (Upri):

There's sometimes neighbors and sometimes not Remember geography. It gets real weird here, but hello Nam nam Mayor. Upper's going to run up the stairs Follow.

Yonce:

I'm going to misty step into the house.

Timothy (DM):

So, and what section of the house are you trying to misty step into?

Yonce:

The dinner, the mess hall or where we're called the dining room area.

Timothy (DM):

All right. So, yonsei, you, misty, step up into a silent, abandoned tree house, quickly abandoned. There's still food warm on the table, there's clothes, a loot. Laying on the sofa and sitting in the chair at the kitchen counter there's like these stools along the island. There is a figure wearing a gray cloak. It's back to you, upper. You run up the stairs. You'll hear the clumping of her foot pads hitting the wood of the steps. You get to the door, you knock. Do you throw it open?

Russell (Upri):

I just throw it open, go in.

Timothy (DM):

Yonsei's sitting there or standing there on the other side of the room facing you. You throw the door open. You now see this figure from behind.

Russell (Upri):

Yonsei, who's that?

Timothy (DM):

It's Nim Nim's cloak, but he's not moving and he's sitting upright. Is it gnome sized?

Yonce:

It's gnome sized. I am going to walk up to the cloak and remove the hood.

Timothy (DM):

You remove the hood of the figure, it does not move, it does not react in any sort of way. And as you remove the hood you pull it back to reveal blonde, greasy hair. And as you peer around to the face, you see that it is wooden.

Russell (Upri):

Yonsei, is that a puppet Of Nim Nim?

Timothy (DM):

No puppets.

Timothy (DM):

I check its heart if it has a heartbeat. So, in order to do so, do you come around to see its face or do you just, from behind, do a retry?

Yonce:

I thought I was facing its face.

Timothy (DM):

If you want to face its face, I will describe its face for you.

Russell (Upri):

At this point, upper would be up there just turning it around in the chair anyway, so you pulled the hood off, you saw the back of its head.

Timothy (DM):

As you come around, you see its face. It's wooden, with little black globes of eyes in grooved sockets, shaped nose from the wood and this long carved grin up its face. Its eyes are beady and just solid black. It has a glossy sheen to it as its features have been painted on, but it does resemble Nim Nim.

Russell (Upri):

What the fuck.

Yonce:

It's a mask or is it like the whole head is wood?

Timothy (DM):

The whole head is wood.

Russell (Upri):

The whole body too, I imagine.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, as you feel it, you might jostle it around a bit. You feel its limbs kind of creaking.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, Upper, you're just going to pick it up. Nim Nim, are you in there?

Timothy (DM):

Its arms, legs dangling shaking back and forth you can feel the creaking of the joints as they move on, little pegs that connect the appendages together at the elbows and knees. Does it answer me? It does not speak.

Yonce:

I look at Upper. You don't think this is, this is no, it can't be.

Russell (Upri):

I don't know. I mean, I've seen some shit, jan, it could be Nim Nim. I don't know. Where is everyone else man?

Chris (Sal):

that's a lot of stairs.

Russell (Upri):

We're like stairs.

Chris (Sal):

We're at a tree house and I'm in heavy armor.

Russell (Upri):

I bought a handkerchief.

Timothy (DM):

You both enter the tree house heavy breathing from walking up the stairs and you see Upper and Jan say like shaking this body, and you look at it. You see it's a puppet. It's a full gnome sized puppet.

Dan (Wren):

Is everything okay.

Russell (Upri):

I don't know.

Yonce:

Jan say drops the ground? I don't know.

Dan (Wren):

What is that?

Russell (Upri):

I think our father.

Dan (Wren):

There should be other people here, right yeah?

Yonce:

It looks like I mean and I'm explaining like it looks like they all left in a hurry. There's so food here, there's things that they would never miss a family dinner.

Chris (Sal):

Is there an open door swinging somewhere in this area, like they dashed out of a door somewhere.

Yonce:

No, I am going to get. Jan say is going to get up and start misty stepping to all the rooms.

Russell (Upri):

It smells a lot.

Yonce:

I thought I could do that with. Okay, never mind.

Timothy (DM):

No, that's so. That is a spell slot, unfortunately.

Yonce:

Then I will be running to every room.

Timothy (DM):

All right. So you throw open the door of the mess hall. Run across the walkway. Do you want to go leisure hut or sleeping quarters first?

Yonce:

Hut.

Timothy (DM):

Leisure hut. Yes, all right. So you throw open the door of the leisure hut, you see sofas, pillows on the floor, clothes thrown about, and then you see three figures sitting on the couches. Oh heck, they're wooden faces and the carved grins. Going behind the sofa you see an archway that at some point materialized in this room. Along the frame of it you see various masks and faces carved into the wood of the frame, and there is a warbly black portal in the middle of the archway.

Yonce:

I run through it.

Dan (Wren):

I'd say Ren's probably going to be pretty close behind Yonsei.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah. Following so you run past the puppet Senen.

Yonce:

No, okay, hold on, let me, let me retcon this. I am going to first look at the puppets.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah.

Yonce:

Of Senen, I'll say the other two.

Timothy (DM):

Senen, Meredith and Vaarn are present.

Yonce:

I am going to check to see if any of them have a heartbeat. Just in my franticness.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, you press your hand to each of their chests and it is void of any rhythmic beating. They are lifeless, they are limp.

Yonce:

Then, after I do that I then I notice the gateway with the mask and without even a second thought I run through it.

Timothy (DM):

All right, so you dash through the almost chilling feeling of the portal surface.

Yonce:

I want to make sure someone sees me doing it.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, I mean I'd be close enough behind there. I think I would see you.

Timothy (DM):

So Ren. You see Yonsei run through the portal after checking each of the puppets. Uppery Salvador. What? Are you doing.

Chris (Sal):

Uppery. I guess these dolls are a new thing.

Russell (Upri):

I mean, our value is real. Guys, you better come quick.

Chris (Sal):

I yell back. There are some more dolls we can find.

Russell (Upri):

Oh yeah, Salvador says with excited glee Uppery, just cry this way, holding them.

Timothy (DM):

You're like holding the puppet now.

Russell (Upri):

Do I see Al on the way? Do I see Puppet Al? Do you not see Al? I do.

Timothy (DM):

No, not Alice. No, alton, oh, alton no.

Chris (Sal):

Maybe he's another. The sleeping quarters, the sleeping quarters.

Russell (Upri):

Can I run there real quick and check?

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, if you want to run towards the sleeping quarters, you are going to bolt out towards the sleeping quarters. You throw open the door and you see Alton laying in their bed.

Russell (Upri):

Cool, I'll go over and I'll just spit. Come on, little bro, we're going to get you back. You got Puppet.

Timothy (DM):

Alton yeah, you have a big body. Like you have two puppets in your arms. Their legs are like jangling.

Russell (Upri):

I feel like you're just a little one arm.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, you have big arms. You're big, they're small, I guess. Yeah, we got a gnome and a halfling.

Russell (Upri):

Oh, are they human sized? Yeah, one the gnome one, the halfling.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, so yeah, you got them in both, in both in one of your arms. Their legs are dangling like jangling about as you run back towards the leisure hut.

Russell (Upri):

And I see the rest of them, I also scoop them. I just want to be like hold it, you scoop your whole family.

Timothy (DM):

Grab all the puppets.

Dan (Wren):

The minute I see somebody, I'm going to be standing at the edge of the portal.

Timothy (DM):

And the minute.

Dan (Wren):

I see somebody be like Yon already went in and I'm going to go through the portal.

Timothy (DM):

All right, Just to get to make sure somebody knows. Step in for the portal you feel that true will cover your body.

Russell (Upri):

Hold on, guys.

Chris (Sal):

I'll run through the portal holding on I'll tie a rope around the sofa and I'll tie a rope around myself and then I'll walk into the portal.

Russell (Upri):

Smart, very smart.

Timothy (DM):

Gorgeous, gorgeous coils. So all four of you have gone through the portal. Yes, yeah, all right, so we'll start with Yonsei, because you arrived slightly ahead of everybody else.

Yonce:

And I'm crying by the way You're crying, which is beautiful.

Timothy (DM):

I wish that you all could hear the sounds that are playing for our audience, because as you step through the portal, you hear a faint caliope in the distance.

Chris (Sal):

Who did he what? It's like a carnival yeah.

Timothy (DM):

A carnival organ.

Russell (Upri):

Is it spelled like no?

Timothy (DM):

Is it? Is it the same as Kaliope? What Is?

Timothy (DM):

it.

Timothy (DM):

Kaliope, is that how I pronounce it? That's the name.

Russell (Upri):

You can name someone. Kaliope, I didn't realize it was an object Two.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, so you hear a circus organ playing jaunty music in the distance, and you step through the portal onto a black and white tiled road that weaves its way through hills. Using this row, you find colorful and large props. That are, they all seem, painted. They have this like bulbous, almost balloon-like quality to them, and above the road there is the face of what could only best be described as Thomas, the Tank Engine's twisted clown cousin.

Russell (Upri):

No, what the absolute fuck.

Timothy (DM):

Like stretched into an archway over the road and then you see like balloons and a hot air balloon and balls, and like little statues and robots and like just it's like you open your junk drawer or toy chest and there's just like all this stuff pouring out along the perimeter of the road and you just see that grinning face, these like arched eyebrows of the Tank Engine face, just staring dead at you. Yonsei.

Yonce:

I'm going to wait until everyone else comes before.

Timothy (DM):

I tell what my next one is going to do, All right. As you take a moment to pause, you hear the crunch of paper beneath your foot.

Yonce:

Pick it up, I pick it up, you pick it up. There is a handout.

Timothy (DM):

It is a newspaper clipping.

Dan (Wren):

What does it say?

Russell (Upri):

A lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot. A lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot A lot.

Chris (Sal):

It's 10-point fall on.

Timothy (DM):

So you begin to read through the newspaper clipping as the other three people slowly filter into this bizarre realm. What the fuck.

Chris (Sal):

This is really messy.

Dan (Wren):

Was this always talking to Yonsei but kind of also staring at everyone? Was this always in your home?

Yonce:

I don't. I have to read this out loud yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Talk about a leisure hut.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah.

Timothy (DM):

And as Upper Eryves last, I think I did too many drugs that I was a kid, how many dolls are you carrying?

Chris (Sal):

You're carrying like five dolls now, five, five.

Russell (Upri):

Can I just make shift, take a rope and like, strap them all together and make?

Timothy (DM):

a backpack of my family, just do it all, do I carry?

Dan (Wren):

my family on my back.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah they're all like this, Like you're arriving this realm.

Timothy (DM):

You're like I don't want to deal with this, like I cannot deal with this right now.

Russell (Upri):

You just started to carry my family, you start tying them all together.

Timothy (DM):

You're like doing this, you're like there's, it's very overwhelming. And you, yeah, you take out your 50 feet of rope that every adventure has always and you tie them all together, you strap them over your back and you look up. You see the Thomas the Tank Engine and I will show you a picture. It's wonderful.

Dan (Wren):

Yonsei, what do you got there?

Yonce:

I'm just continuing to read and read and I and I, I peek over your shoulder, I know I, just I hand it to you.

Dan (Wren):

What, what is it? What does it say?

Chris (Sal):

You're right, this is small.

Dan (Wren):

Oh my Lord.

Yonce:

I'm still saying nothing.

Dan (Wren):

Here here Chris the John DJ continues in the distance. Why don't you read it out loud for us?

Chris (Sal):

It seems the capital of of Everfier has been struck by more void stuff, so it's traveled to the center of the country. Now there are void tears altering the fabric of reality, crumbling buildings, pall of darkness all typical doomsday stuff. They're playing for the neighboring regions to help with it. Scholars, clerics and adventurers are mobilizing to confront the horror. It is terrible, bad, bad, bad yeah.

Dan (Wren):

Anything about entropolis? No, it's just talking about.

Chris (Sal):

Saag, though I imagine entropolis won't be far away and Tim is doing a dance now, although you can see it on on, yeah what is this?

Dan (Wren):

Like some sort of clown creature that's dancing. No, there's no clown creature coming, it's just the vibe of the music.

Timothy (DM):

coming from the distance you can hear the music is the question.

Chris (Sal):

Is this from the future or is this happening right now?

Timothy (DM):

It's two days ago. It's dated for two days ago.

Dan (Wren):

Does it look like a real newspaper?

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, it's a real newspaper.

Dan (Wren):

So it's not like a newspaper that exists in this bizarre world.

Timothy (DM):

It's definitely been like opened red handled before, because it's not like a crisp newspaper.

Yonce:

It feels like it was potentially dropped here as somebody coming through the portal as you guys are reading the paper or as it's being passed around. You hear Yonsei primal scream. Let me see if I can do that. And then I just shoot two elchers, blast out the face.

Timothy (DM):

All right roll for damage.

Yonce:

Oh, it's OK. Sorry, matt, matt. So one is a six and the other is a nine. Beautiful.

Timothy (DM):

So you blast into it, you see that like it's made of plastic which doesn't exist in this world. So it's real weird. It just like blasts holes through a hollow face and you hear this like cracking of plastic. And now it has two blast marks through its cheeks. And that's where we're going to end our session, everyone Welcome to puppet land.

Dan (Wren):

We all pose dramatically in front of the archway.

Timothy (DM):

Fuck is right, oh, it's our first.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah.

Timothy (DM):

I'll have it yes.

Russell (Upri):

I don't have a puppet. This is going to be great, so does have a drama. You have a trauma from the Wizard's Tower where there were those.

Dan (Wren):

Oh yeah, I guess Ren is the only one who doesn't currently have puppet trauma. We're all going to have puppet trauma by the end.

Chris (Sal):

I'm not traumatized. I just remembered that.

Russell (Upri):

What a great bonding experience. My God All right.

Timothy (DM):

Let's do our outro everyone. Oh right you don't have to do anything, all right.

Dan (Wren):

I was like what.
