Dan (Wren):

today, we have Hi, that's me, I'll start.

Kai (Yonce):

Hi, quick reminder.

Dan (Wren):

Hi, I'm Dan. I am playing the mostly human, a little bit elf, scholar and rogue and everyone's favourite investigation instructor. That's my grip because I help everybody investigate. My name, Ren, is the character name that I have.

Kai (Yonce):

It's so funny when you have to explain it.

Russell (Upri):

It's so funny Actual.

Chris (Salvador):

Hi there I'm Chris. I'm playing the tiefling cleric who is feeling like Carol King this week because he feels the earth move under his feet. His name is Salvador Sotros. Salvador Sotros.

Timothy (DM):

I'm not going to sing along because I will make it even worse.

Russell (Upri):

I don't know who that is.

Chris (Salvador):

Carol King. She's a great song. There's a musical. Oh, there is also a musical.

Timothy (DM):

There's a lady with the name. She was a person. She also made music. There is a musical about her.

Russell (Upri):

Like Les Mis, right, she's in that.

Timothy (DM):

Yep. So what musical I know?

Russell (Upri):

Exactly. Oh, and the music man. We talked about that one time.

Timothy (DM):

Hi, I'm Russell. I'm playing the half work quarter plant Upree Upperland.

Russell (Upri):

always hit the button to ask questions later, johansberg.

Kai (Yonce):

And my name is Kai and I'm playing the half elf warlock Janse Bay. Who? How come? Every time we come to town, all these damn buildings all want to come down? They always, always, always fall down. They always always always fall down.

Chris (Salvador):

Ooh, that was good.

Russell (Upri):

Thank you.

Kai (Yonce):

Damn.

Russell (Upri):

I never have a clip ready but I'm always prepared.

Timothy (DM):

As we immerse ourselves in the shadows of prophecy, be warned for. This tale explores the darkest corners of the human soul and psyche, where the line between good and evil is blurred, and unspeakable horrors linger in every shadow.

Timothy (DM):

Our story is not for the faint of heart, for it will not only bring us to mysterious lands, but have us walk down treacherous paths with unforeseen dangers, as our heroes, who are not always virtuous, confront villains who are not always wicked. As the prophecy unfolds and the fate of the world hangs in the balance, only one thing is for certain Nothing is as it seems. So stay sharp, ready yourselves, and we might just make it through this together as our heroes continue to pull back the veil. As a prophecy is a Dungeons and Dragons actual playcast, with violent themes and adult language. Listener discretion is advised.

Timothy (DM):

Join us today as we enter the Shadows of Prophecy, act 3, the Brink of Nothingness, chapter 16, rumblings of Change. Previously, on Shadows of Prophecy, our intrepid adventurers delved into the depths of the Delve seeking the source of arcane disturbances. Guided by a mysterious hum, they braved the Dungeons' perils. Upon entering the Dungeon, they were sent a little gift from the Obscura, further enticing their outstanding offer being as in like on the table, not because of how awesome it is Curiosity got the best of Ren as he investigated a pile of moldy books to better understand the history of the runes.

Timothy (DM):

Unfortunately, the party quickly found the source of the decay and fought off some ochre. Chilies and Yance quickly banished some black pudding being against a clock before their enemy returned from their time out.

Timothy (DM):

The party sprinted across the library, setting off a deadly trap at the top of the stairs. Having been impaled by a line of arrows, salvador fell victim to the deadly trap, his life hanging in the balance. As Ren fought to stabilize him, the party retreated to safety, nursing their wounds in a forgotten bunk room. Before pressing forward, the party managed to drag Salvador's unconscious body down the stairs and hide him in a long abandoned bunker to tend to their wounds.

Timothy (DM):

Attuned to their newfound gifts, they ventured deeper, discovering a vast chamber housing a mysterious mechanism and an enigmatic figure, DAX, a member of the secretive secret secretary society. It is revealed that the SSS takes it upon themselves to protect the underkeep when the institutions fail to do so, and DAX was just slightly ahead of the party in investigating the quakes. Alpha, Omega, Null, Infinity Good and Evil present themselves once again as the party grapples with the contraptions mechanisms, To their own disappointment, however they input a selection into the control panel and quickly learned of their folly.

Timothy (DM):

As Daphne telepathically informed them that the university had collapsed and that the city of the underkeep was falling out of the sky. With the underkeep teetering on the brink of collapse, Ren raced to shut down the machine, but the true extent of their mistake remained shrouded in uncertainty, leaving our heroes to face their fate oh.

Russell (Upri):

One correction.

Russell (Upri):

Sal was swaddled like a little baby boy, not dragged.

Dan (Wren):

In a pair of wings.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Oh, my goodness, so we left last session, ended the session with a little bit of a cliffhanger. We did manage to hit the shutdown button power down button before we ended the session. But we were met with the telepathic voice of Daphne, warning our party that the university had collapsed and that the city was falling.

Dan (Wren):

Doesn't look good, should we get out of here? We should. Well, in Rectarmus we should fix that we should balance the machine right. I?

Chris (Salvador):

don't know if toying with this is going to fix anything.

Kai (Yonce):

I don't know. Let's ask Dax or whatever. Her name is Dax.

Russell (Upri):

D-.

Dan (Wren):

The NPC.

Timothy (DM):

Oh, uh, what's what did you do? That was not her voice, she was Midwestern wasn't she what did you all do that did not feel right? I can fix it.

Russell (Upri):

I know, but he's just hitting things.

Dan (Wren):

No, no, no, no, no, don't just start hitting things.

Russell (Upri):

I'm going to go over to the infinity and do down one, down four. I can't count in letters.

Chris (Salvador):

Oh, you want to set it back to what was.

Dan (Wren):

So you start filling with the machine.

Timothy (DM):

You start filling with the machine, you start inputting things.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, Um, yes, I want to balance everything right.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah, or just the one that we changed.

Timothy (DM):

No. Are you sure that?

Russell (Upri):

Listen, it looks like it's off now.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah, I think we should talk to an adult.

Russell (Upri):

The city's going to die regardless. We might as well try.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, if the city is currently falling, I imagine that this mechanism has something to do with the city's stabilization.

Timothy (DM):

Um, and the ground begins to rumble again. That's going to say as you find yourselves flung onto the ground, this time caught entirely off guard, without bracing yourselves as you hit the button. But then you see behind you the stones that had fallen from the ceiling begin to levitate and ascend back up. You see a cloud of dust, a mushroom of dust. Lift back up off the ground and raise up into the ceiling as again you hear Daphne's voice. Oh, you finally showed yourself how interesting I'm sorry, what Daphne?

Russell (Upri):

Excuse me.

Timothy (DM):

Oh my tears. It appears we have an unlikely visitor.

Dan (Wren):

Wait, but is the city?

Timothy (DM):

still falling. Oh let me explain, gladys has arrived. Oh oh, it seems that she was able to turn back your folly.

Russell (Upri):

Turn back time Sorry.

Dan (Wren):

I want to go check the alpha room. Do the numbers still say 226 or is it back to 118?

Timothy (DM):

It's back to 118.

Dan (Wren):

Nice Okay.

Russell (Upri):

So let's systematically do the boobbob.

Dan (Wren):

So there is still an issue, but there is still an issue with the falling city, which we still want to resolve.

Chris (Salvador):

I think the way that I understood Daphne's omen is that. Gladys fixed our error, so it's not falling anymore.

Dan (Wren):

Well, yes, but the city in general it'll still fall over the long term. The rumblings are still happening on a regular basis, it's just not actively currently falling. The problem is still exists.

Chris (Salvador):

Well, yeah, I know it's still unstable, but we can go back and talk to somebody to fix it rather than trying to fix it.

Russell (Upri):

I don't know how it works Do we, yeah, we want to see it work out.

Chris (Salvador):

I like guys with a, with a Yancei, she knows what's up.

Kai (Yonce):

Exactly.

Dan (Wren):

Be, careful Yancei.

Kai (Yonce):

You'll never know.

Timothy (DM):

We'll only have worked that one time Say that again, sorry. Gladys is fail safe. We'll only have worked that one time.

Kai (Yonce):

So let's brainstorm as a team before we start doing anything. So, from the information that we have just gathered, gladys has fixed the issue temporarily, but the city will still fall. Is it important to fix this issue now, while we are here? Well, the doors of the temple are still locked, if I remember correctly. Yes, so we actually can't exit.

Chris (Salvador):

We can. I've got the fancy hat that can teleport us.

Kai (Yonce):

That is true. Is this important enough where we need to fix it now, or should we come back?

Dan (Wren):

Well, can you teleport us back? Yeah, okay, I just have to take something from here.

Chris (Salvador):

So I take a piece of rock that is on the ground.

Timothy (DM):

So, as you are all talking, you see that DAX is by the machine, examining and taking notes.

Kai (Yonce):

So what are the notes that you're taking over there, buddy?

Timothy (DM):

Oh well, it seems like the machine is off. I don't know if it's going to be a problem anymore. At least the machine's not. So if this was the source, but the fluctuations, then yeah, how long?

Chris (Salvador):

perhaps we're done here. How long have you been observing the stacks before we came in here?

Timothy (DM):

Oh, we've been tracking the source of the rumbling for about a month now, but specifically in this room. Oh, I just arrived right before you Okay.

Kai (Yonce):

Wait. So we had a break in order to fix it.

Dan (Wren):

I think we literally just need to hit power down, and when I hit power down it just turned the whole machine off.

Timothy (DM):

I can't know for sure, but it does seem that the machine's not going to try to start back up again. I don't know why it would have happened after all this time. It's been down here for millennia.

Dan (Wren):

Well, it seems like somebody might have turned it on or tried to turn it on.

Chris (Salvador):

A hooligan.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, I was saying do you have a lot of hooligans down here?

Timothy (DM):

This far no yeah how'd you get here? Very few people would survive down here.

Chris (Salvador):

I guess you tiptoed around all those traps.

Timothy (DM):

I have my ways.

Kai (Yonce):

They teleported here, if I remember correctly.

Chris (Salvador):

But any other remarks or investigations.

Dan (Wren):

Daphne, you can see what I'm saying, right? That's like part of your shtick.

Timothy (DM):

Well, now, I can, of course.

Dan (Wren):

Does this mean anything to you? Any of these like symbols and the machine, because obviously it's reminiscent of the vision that we had together, but any other inkling into what the machine does?

Timothy (DM):

Unfortunately, my dear, I have just as much information as you.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, all right, just double checking. I received the same vision as you last night. I just wanted to know if you had maybe other visions that this reminds you of. But never mind, Okay, thank you.

Timothy (DM):

Perhaps this evening.

Russell (Upri):

Okay.

Dan (Wren):

I want to see what happens, but we won't write up, right.

Russell (Upri):

It's like one of them. Oh my God, I must make a computer game joke. I don't know where I am.

Kai (Yonce):

I really think that you should get a team down here to clear out all the destroying mucus, whatever stuff down here and turn this into a nice little market, a little Airbnb up into this room.

Dan (Wren):

This room should be locked forever. Yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, I don't know what point that we have but, I, respect your input.

Kai (Yonce):

I'll input something All right, and I go into the machine. I just pressed all the I'm kidding.

Timothy (DM):

I don't want to relive that trauma.

Kai (Yonce):

I'm good. All right, I guess we're done here.

Chris (Salvador):

I give everybody a pat on the shoulder and I say ready to go.

Kai (Yonce):

Yes, take the rock, just in case.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah, I take a rock off the ground and I cast teleport with my helm and I tell I ask Dax, dax, are you willing to go as well?

Timothy (DM):

I think I will stay down here and do a little bit more. Uh, lookaloo, I don't think that's. Oh, don't worry about me. And they scribble down on a piece of paper, um, rip it out of their notebook and they hand it to you.

Chris (Salvador):

What's it say, Uh?

Timothy (DM):

meet me at noon tomorrow. Penny's portal number three. Speak with bracelet SSS.

Chris (Salvador):

You got it, dude, and I give them a wink Wink.

Kai (Yonce):

How is Salvador getting all the action in?

Russell (Upri):

this Every city we go to.

Dan (Wren):

Uh, not quite your type, Sal, at least from what we've known you for.

Chris (Salvador):

You don't even know what's on this paper. That's true, yeah, but I cast teleport, we saw the wink. Yeah, hey, winks. Winks can be friendly. Um, I wonder if I could teleport Dax without their willingness. That's rude. I don't think that I can and I won't because it is. But I teleported. I had taken notes on paper that I had gotten from Daphne's house, so I teleported back to Daphne's.

Timothy (DM):

Back to Daphne's. Yeah, all right. Uh. So as you arrive in Daphne's little cottage, you're met with the warmth of a crackling fireplace and the smell of lavender wafting through the air. You see Daphne laying out on her shez with a cup of tea. The tea is still hot and the steam rises from the cup. Her eyes are closed, but as you manifest in the space, she begins to stir. Opening her eyes, she says ah, nice that you survived that. Would you like a cup of tea?

Dan (Wren):

Sure Um. You mentioned that Gladys is here.

Timothy (DM):

Here in the city, not at my home. Yes, so nice of her to finally show her face.

Chris (Salvador):

I'm sensing some displeasure. Is that right?

Timothy (DM):

She kind of lills and doesn't answer your question.

Kai (Yonce):

This is dramatic.

Dan (Wren):

Is she visiting her son by chance?

Chris (Salvador):

She has a kid. Yeah, that's a Desmond, or that's. He claims that he's her son, isn't it like?

Timothy (DM):

great, great grandson or something like that. Oh, probably yeah.

Dan (Wren):

Because she's ancient yeah.

Russell (Upri):

I missed all of that.

Dan (Wren):

Her relative, her relative Her descendant.

Timothy (DM):

I suppose that's possible, but knowing her, she's not driven by those sorts of things.

Chris (Salvador):

So how do you know that she's here? Have you seen her?

Timothy (DM):

Only Gladys would be able to pull off that stunt.

Chris (Salvador):

Gotcha so at the feeling.

Dan (Wren):

So she reversed the whole collapse of the school. Is that what you're saying?

Timothy (DM):

Precisely.

Chris (Salvador):

Interesting.

Timothy (DM):

Why would?

Chris (Salvador):

she? Oh, because her son would be at the school.

Dan (Wren):

Her descendant.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah.

Timothy (DM):

I don't know.

Dan (Wren):

So Gladys I don't remember if we've ever we've probably briefly touched on Gladys. So Gladys is a time which she can control time and she's lived for generations at this point and Desmond, who is connected to my ex-dead boyfriend I don't know where the ex-supplies.

Russell (Upri):

And the Demi-Dot Freya, of course.

Dan (Wren):

Yes, and the joined people, and the one that's not my boyfriend is Desmond, who is Sal's. The long hair. Bloke the what.

Kai (Yonce):

The long hair bloke?

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, yes, he is also a Calderos because it's Gladys Calderos and Desmond Calderos and he says unconfirmed I guess that he is the descendant of the Calderos family, so he would be a direct descendant of.

Kai (Yonce):

Gladys, as you're explaining this, yance goes into the icebox, grabs his Esperla and walks up to their room.

Russell (Upri):

It has been a long day.

Kai (Yonce):

I am going to bed, but I can still hear in common. If I need to, I'll leave the door open.

Dan (Wren):

Are there, like those tubes in Daphne's house, where you could just like talk into them and then like I'll project.

Timothy (DM):

No, daphne has no need for that, that's fair.

Chris (Salvador):

She can talk into people's heads Right.

Dan (Wren):

I switched to Hive Mind as you're walking away, if you accept.

Kai (Yonce):

The voicemail is the person you're trying to hive mind is not available. Please try your hive mind again later.

Dan (Wren):

I like that you click into it just to say that and then click out of it, Daphne.

Chris (Salvador):

have you ever heard about the secret secretary society? Of course she has.

Timothy (DM):

I've heard rumblings of them. Why do you?

Chris (Salvador):

ask. They went into a odd person in the Delves. They were looking at the machine whenever we got in there.

Dan (Wren):

The Dax. Do you know, dax?

Timothy (DM):

I can't say that I've kept too much of an eye on them. Sounds familiar.

Chris (Salvador):

It's just very suspicious that they just happened to find it as we found it.

Kai (Yonce):

Yonsei yells. What's suspicious?

Chris (Salvador):

I thought you were sleeping. No, I'm just.

Dan (Wren):

I'm emotionally overwhelmed, so I just need to be away from people.

Kai (Yonce):

I'll still comment.

Dan (Wren):

I'll leave the connection open in case you want to click in.

Kai (Yonce):

I can hear the bill. This apartment's not that big.

Dan (Wren):

It's thin walls.

Chris (Salvador):

But there's this giant machine in the Delves that is. Oh, you saw it. Is this look like dwarven stuff that people left behind from the previous civilization, or does it look like something else you've seen? That's a great question.

Timothy (DM):

I mean it matches everything else in the rooms.

Dan (Wren):

Can I do a history check to see if the architecture of the entire place, like the Delvin general, matches the architecture of the machine and the machine room, or can you just tell me if that's fact or not?

Timothy (DM):

I will say, at first glance, yes, but you can give me a history check to confirm that. 11. Okay, it was made of the same types of metals that you saw in the trim work and had that same level of craftsmanship. It was a very archaic-looking contraption, so there was a little bit of an alien aspect to it in terms of it's hard to say it was exactly the same style because it wasn't stylized, it was just a machine, Okay.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah.

Russell (Upri):

I mean.

Dan (Wren):

From what I know of architecture, it does seem like whoever built the Delves is the same people who built that machine.

Chris (Salvador):

To support the floating city.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah Well, did the Delves? That's a great question, a question that I might be able to just go to a library and find out, but do you know much about the history of the Delves? Daphne.

Timothy (DM):

No, they unfortunately predate Freyja.

Chris (Salvador):

Predate Freyja Interesting.

Dan (Wren):

That's wild. Do you know if libraries in the city might have information on the Delves?

Timothy (DM):

Doubtful. It's hard to find anything even from Freyja's time. Therefore, the history predating that was mostly scrubbed from our texts.

Dan (Wren):

Any scholars or historians who have been to the Delves that might have written books on what they might glean from the architecture, maybe old books that they found before the Slimes moved in.

Timothy (DM):

Oh sure, there's plenty of theories, but not much for them to go off of. I'd chalk it all up to Hersey and Huberis. That was going to go read, unfortunately, that was part of the deal that Freyja appears to have made 1,000 years ago.

Chris (Salvador):

Maybe wait does, freyja would. Freyja know if we asked her as a rhetorical question From our conversations.

Timothy (DM):

she still seems rather scattered, unable to recount much of her own history Outside glimpses. I've been working with her in the daytime while you've all been galavanting along with Ram City.

Kai (Yonce):

Galavanting. We've been putting in hard work.

Timothy (DM):

Hello to you too, Yourself.

Russell (Upri):

I think some of us did some galavanting.

Timothy (DM):

It has been difficult.

Dan (Wren):

On a side note, we probably owe them a visit, at least the two of us, sal.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah, yeah, we do. It's been a while.

Timothy (DM):

Yes, probably not best to avoid them.

Chris (Salvador):

Probably not best to avoid them. So bad to yeah okay.

Dan (Wren):

Yes we should go visit them, if you say, so Mom Okay. Well, what was on that?

Chris (Salvador):

note that Dax gave you. Oh, it says to meet them. I kind of blanked. I know we have to meet them at Penny's tomorrow. Penny's the third portal.

Dan (Wren):

Talk to the bracelet. Oh, something like that. Oh wait.

Chris (Salvador):

I don't have a bracelet, whose bracelet.

Dan (Wren):

I don't have a bracelet either.

Chris (Salvador):

Maybe there's a bracelet at the portal.

Dan (Wren):

Yonsei, is it your bracelet that's kidding? Probably not what?

Kai (Yonce):

I don't think I have a bracelet either.

Dan (Wren):

Penny's is the. What is Penny's? It's the bar.

Timothy (DM):

I think that we went to the bar that Malray works at.

Dan (Wren):

He's also a secretary, the third portal. Well, I guess we could talk to Malray.

Kai (Yonce):

Well, aren't there portals that bring in food from everywhere?

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

Kai (Yonce):

I'm guessing they're numbered.

Dan (Wren):

I don't remember seeing them at the Penny's. That was at the sandwich store that we went to, but I imagine that maybe in the kitchen they like or the kitchen yeah. They have that A question. Oh, I guess that's a different. I'll ask Malray when we or whoever is there when we get to Penny's tomorrow. But I am wondering can we use the? Can humans use those portals Like, is there a portal to Entropolis that I could just walk through and come back through?

Timothy (DM):

Potentially they're rather well protected With cards. They're supposed to have wards on them that prevent humans from fully passing through.

Dan (Wren):

But I could maybe pass a letter through. Just check up on Lark's perch.

Timothy (DM):

That is actually how we send mail through here.

Dan (Wren):

That makes a ton of sense. I always assumed someone went outside, like literally outside through birds and the sky.

Timothy (DM):

No, why would we limit it to just food and drink?

Dan (Wren):

That's fair. Well, tonight I'll write a letter to Mara just to check in and see how they're doing, get any updates on the people that have arrived and whatnot.

Timothy (DM):

Sounds like a splendid idea. Although, if you don't mind, I am rather spent today, I'd like to go lay down.

Chris (Salvador):

I will follow. Would we not, not, not that.

Timothy (DM):

Convene this evening for a session.

Russell (Upri):

I have one question Does everyone remember us making the city fall, or is it just us Huh?

Timothy (DM):

You know I hadn't thought about that. I guess they wouldn't have known it was you in the first place.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, that's true.

Dan (Wren):

So if they remember, it's just Dax, we'll have to figure that out. Daphne's not going to rat us out. I trust Dax. Dax seemed to be pretty honest and open about her the secret society.

Chris (Salvador):

She's pretty open about they didn't give you a pronoun.

Dan (Wren):

That's fair them.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, yeah I wonder if I'll.

Dan (Wren):

They're pretty open about the secret society, but they also. It seems like we've spoken to many people, like we've touched base and made friends with the vibe Check in the society.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah, five at this point, yeah.

Timothy (DM):

There are five members that you are aware of Beatrice, scalia, dax, penelope and Melroy middle management bartenders and other and secretaries, they're all kind of the same.

Chris (Salvador):

Good night.

Kai (Yonce):

Wait, so it's as wait. You said reconvene tonight. It's only the afternoon.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah, I thought it was night, I thought we went at night.

Timothy (DM):

Did you go at night? I wasn't paying attention.

Dan (Wren):

I thought so I do not remember, I'm going to yell out the window.

Kai (Yonce):

Can we just reconvene in the morning? Not a window, what's that thing called Door?

Dan (Wren):

A morning vision.

Kai (Yonce):

We can talk over bacon.

Timothy (DM):

We could do tomorrow evening. For some reason there's a connection in the evenings just slightly stronger, better for the visions, something to do with the moon.

Russell (Upri):

The moon. That's not here because we're underground.

Chris (Salvador):

It's still there it's still above the mountains. There are multiple mountains actually.

Dan (Wren):

Mountains. Aren't we in the mountains? Aren't we underneath mountains?

Chris (Salvador):

I thought we were just underground, oh heck.

Dan (Wren):

Randomity.

Timothy (DM):

Forest. That's where we were. Oh yeah, the puppets.

Russell (Upri):

It's coming back to me now.

Dan (Wren):

But yes, we could reconvene tomorrow evening. If there is no rush for you, there's no rush for us.

Chris (Salvador):

Gosh, I got to get the calendar out.

Timothy (DM):

Honestly, sometimes taking a break helps strengthen the visions. They become more meaningful. All right, I will turn in for the night and see you all tomorrow.

Kai (Yonce):

Wait, so is bacon still on the table.

Chris (Salvador):

Yes.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, I'll get bacon.

Russell (Upri):

And then I close the door.

Kai (Yonce):

Good night.

Russell (Upri):

Slim.

Dan (Wren):

So it's probably like. I don't know what time is it, We'll say it's evening though.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, because Thursday we met with the three people.

Timothy (DM):

On Thursday we also had a turn back time situation, yeah, so it's whatever she gets, so glad I chose a time.

Chris (Salvador):

It is now that time she's like oh, I'm so tired, but yeah, it's Thursday.

Dan (Wren):

Sal, do we want to go see Deslark or Desley Desley, desley Fresley? I don't know, I forget what her oh right. Frey is in there too For Desley or something like that.

Chris (Salvador):

But yeah, I mean sure we can probably.

Dan (Wren):

We should get that over with. That sounds bad. That sounds bad. But I feel like we both have things to say that we should say and get it off of our chest oh geez, sure, let's go now. Uppery. Do you want to accompany us, or would you rather stay here?

Russell (Upri):

Want no part of any of that, so sorry.

Timothy (DM):

I will hear about it afterwards over drinks.

Russell (Upri):

I'm tired. I can't handle any more awkward shit today.

Dan (Wren):

You all have fun, All right. So I guess me and Sal will head over to the university.

Timothy (DM):

Yes, so you're heading night. Classes are happening like evening.

Dan (Wren):

Right, I imagine it's like late, so it's quieter as you arrive at the university.

Chris (Salvador):

Can I make a stealth check?

Timothy (DM):

You're making a stealth check To secretly follow them.

Russell (Upri):

Can I use my ring of disguise to look like the not upry? As much as I can. I look like a middle-aged white man with a big handlebar mustache. That's giving daddy slash professor Okay.

Kai (Yonce):

I was like why are you describing yourself? I'm not middle-aged.

Chris (Salvador):

You don't have white hair.

Timothy (DM):

We're getting there yeah.

Russell (Upri):

I guess people only live to like 70. Yeah.

Dan (Wren):

I like to think that that's upry's idea of inconspicuous.

Russell (Upri):

The most conspicuous person you've ever seen. That's not.

Timothy (DM):

Oh yeah, they have like anime, like boss energy I want to look like Colonel. Sanders, colonel Sanders. No, no, no, the little dog from One Piece.

Russell (Upri):

No, the. What's his name from Full Metal Alchemist the bald guy.

Dan (Wren):

Oh, it's always like oh, I don't remember, the guy punches everything yeah.

Russell (Upri):

He's always like hugging people.

Dan (Wren):

Oh yeah, I know who you're talking about. Yeah.

Timothy (DM):

And like, there's always hearts and winks and flexing yeah, Before we get to the university. I would like to do, or I would like to ask Yonsei a question Are you going to bed?

Kai (Yonce):

I'm a train wreck in the morning. I would sing that whole song during this podcast. I don't think so. I think I just needed we've had a long, we've had a long day around each other. I think I just needed a break from people. But maybe I will fall asleep. There's no switch here. There's no technology here, Can't play my PS5 in this world. It doesn't exist.

Timothy (DM):

That's correct. I'm sure your Yonsei has some sort of activities that they do.

Kai (Yonce):

I have a can of paint and I just paint random places and watch it dry. Yeah.

Timothy (DM):

You went into a supply closet at Daphne's house, found the paint of her wall, and it's just like what.

Kai (Yonce):

I'm just throwing paint at the wall while listening to rock music. Being like I hate, you dad.

Timothy (DM):

All right. So whatever you're doing, you're going to hear a tap on when it sounds like it's tapping on wood, and you look around and you hear it again it's coming from the wall.

Kai (Yonce):

I knock back oh.

Timothy (DM):

Yonsei Nope.

Kai (Yonce):

Good night, and this is where we'll take our break.

Timothy (DM):

So glad that I was able to contact you again. I hope you've been enjoying yourself.

Kai (Yonce):

I forgot who you were. Sean Connery I thought it was Jennifer Coolidge.

Dan (Wren):

Sean Coolidge Jennifer.

Kai (Yonce):

Connery. All right, what up? Random person that I forgot the name about.

Timothy (DM):

It seems like you've been getting the run around from the other of my siblings and I wanted to come clean about some things. Plus, I have a little gift for you. Should you accept it.

Kai (Yonce):

Bet. Okay, let's go, but I have a little question for you first Go ahead.

Timothy (DM):

You've been following your sister around, chasing claims that you are the heroes of this realm. Uh-huh, following little Ren and Salvatore, just to drag you around. But what is it that you want, yonsei? What do you desire?

Kai (Yonce):

Thank you, esteemed panel and judges. What do I desire? Tbh, that's shorthand for, to be honest, this is new thing that we're doing in the cities nowadays no shortening things. Ttyl, my BFF jail.

Timothy (DM):

Thank you for the education.

Kai (Yonce):

To be honest, if I had a choice, I would be at home with my family we didn't get enough time with them because we were saving them from some weird circus ass thing and I would want to start living my life for me. I feel like I'm following a lot of people, even with my family. I kind of don't know who Yonsei is without the strays or Yonsei without this rag tag group of bitches. So I think that's what I desire to discover of myself who I am without everyone else.

Timothy (DM):

I see interesting challenge you have given me. But what if I told you I could make that happen? Yonsei right now.

Kai (Yonce):

Say what now?

Timothy (DM):

What if I could give you that space, that freedom?

Kai (Yonce):

How.

Timothy (DM):

I have my ways. But there would be one unfortunate caveat. I cannot undo the deal that your sister made with my sibling. The rest I can provide. How long is you grant me that strength, yonsei?

Kai (Yonce):

It's been a long day. You have to use layman terms, bruh.

Timothy (DM):

Meredith.

Kai (Yonce):

Yes.

Timothy (DM):

Cannot be protected by me. Would a priest not uphold her deal?

Russell (Upri):

with the director.

Timothy (DM):

I can do nothing to save her, but I can, I can, I can, I can, I can, I can, I can, I can, I can, I can, I can, I can, I can, I can, I can, I can. For the rest of your family and for you, you may return to the treehouse, your family untouched, your life simple and peaceful, a little bliss oasis.

Kai (Yonce):

What do I have to do? Wait, I'm so confused.

Timothy (DM):

You have one job.

Chris (Salvador):

Oh, it's a lot of rising contracts.

Timothy (DM):

You must bring me.

Kai (Yonce):

Peter Pan's.

Timothy (DM):

You must bring them to me, bring them.

Kai (Yonce):

Who is them?

Timothy (DM):

Those who travel down the indulgent path, those who energize me, those dripping in shin In shin, in shin In shin, in shin In shin.

Russell (Upri):

In shin, in shin In shin.

Timothy (DM):

In shin, in shin In shin In shin In shin, in shin, in shin In shin. Independently of your fetus and as they fall deeper into the seduction, I grow stronger and will be able to expand your sanctuary Sanctuary. That is the benefit of being my Hero.

Kai (Yonce):

Am I a charmed one? Charmed one, I don't know. I was watching Charm the other day.

Chris (Salvador):

Oh which.

Timothy (DM):

You are my chosen, Jan Shae.

Kai (Yonce):

So you want me to bring you souls of people who send too much.

Timothy (DM):

Nutsholes. Just nudge them further down their paths. They've already set themselves on the course. All you have to do is encourage them, entice them.

Kai (Yonce):

So, for example, if someone's eating a bagel and they're like I don't know if I want this extra bagel Do. I go up and be like it's cheat day Eat it.

Russell (Upri):

Eat it, eat it.

Timothy (DM):

That is one way. The other is that you just create that tether to me and I'll do the rest of the work.

Kai (Yonce):

How do I create a tether though?

Timothy (DM):

Mechanically.

Dan (Wren):

What does your?

Timothy (DM):

feet say you are gaining access to a spell in which you condemn a person to their deadly sin. If correct, that will generate a tether to the transgressor in which they will be able to Whisper into their ear you can more devil on their shoulder.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, eat that bagel.

Timothy (DM):

And mechanically over a period of 30 days, they will slowly succumb to the pool of that sin. Oh my goodness. If they are unable to pass wheelchacks. Interesting Charisma checks.

Kai (Yonce):

But if I cast this, I have to do more. Corruption saves, so I'm essentially condemning myself as he passed them yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Corruption, dear, dear, dear. What a coded word for something that is really just strengthening our bond.

Kai (Yonce):

Wow, this is really a parasitic relationship and if I was to talk to my therapist they would say I would have to let you go, but fine.

Timothy (DM):

I'm offended, darling, would a parasite be so beneficial? Would a parasite be able to give you so much power and peace?

Kai (Yonce):

Fine, I can do this, as long as we don't end up becoming like Venom or something that's right Symbio.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Protected Mmm.

Chris (Salvador):

Choice words.

Kai (Yonce):

We are transgressor. Are you the transgressor? I'm a train wreck. Yonsei looks at random places because I'm assuming this voice is all over and I don't really say much. I'm kind of taking it.

Timothy (DM):

Yonsei's taking it all in Sure Say you my chosen.

Kai (Yonce):

And you promise me and my family will be safe.

Timothy (DM):

I can promise all but one. You must encourage your sister to uphold her deal if you want Meredith to survive. I cannot unright a deal made.

Kai (Yonce):

We can't do like an amendment or something like that.

Timothy (DM):

You're free to attempt that negotiation with my sibling, but I am doubtful will be successful.

Kai (Yonce):

What if I use your spell against them?

Chris (Salvador):

Interesting.

Timothy (DM):

Unfortunately.

Kai (Yonce):

I should have said it.

Timothy (DM):

My siblings are free of sin.

Kai (Yonce):

Damn plot device. It will not work. I have to think about this I.

Timothy (DM):

Please do. I will see you again soon, let's say at the masquerade bowl. Cinematic Gold mask, the shape of Ram's head. I'll speak with you through my vessel.

Kai (Yonce):

Is he single?

Timothy (DM):

If you would like him to be.

Kai (Yonce):

You can't say sips their saspero. This is getting too spicy for me. Good night, quick.

Timothy (DM):

Did that work Night, darling. And then the voice fades away. So we're going to go to the university, yeah.

Chris (Salvador):

We're strong down the street, do we?

Timothy (DM):

notice the youth Completely like what the buff mustached.

Dan (Wren):

What was your stuff, Jake? It was a 7.

Timothy (DM):

Let's see if the advantage Sorry, not a self check with advantage.

Russell (Upri):

A stealth check and then a deception check with advantage.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, well, stealth was 7. Okay, with advantage, I think.

Russell (Upri):

With advantage the deception. Okay, plus zero, that's natural 20. Wow.

Timothy (DM):

So you do notice a very buff bald man with a.

Russell (Upri):

Who's not?

Russell (Upri):

hiding at all. Very, very long curled mustache right.

Timothy (DM):

Is that?

Russell (Upri):

Yes, blond.

Timothy (DM):

Blonde mustache being very loud with his grunting.

Russell (Upri):

Oh, it's running over to people flexing.

Timothy (DM):

But this is a completely believable character to you.

Russell (Upri):

Yes, doesn't stand out at all. They stand out, but whatever.

Dan (Wren):

It's a wizard, we don't need to roll anything.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, yeah, you can do an insight check. You have to be a nat 20 plus. What's your deception?

Russell (Upri):

Zero, so just a 20.

Chris (Salvador):

You have to be a 20.

Russell (Upri):

I did not.

Chris (Salvador):

I got a dirty 20.

Dan (Wren):

I think a nat 20 is better, I'm just.

Chris (Salvador):

I personally.

Dan (Wren):

I think there's a weird man following us.

Russell (Upri):

I noticed that. I mean I noticed, he was following us.

Chris (Salvador):

I look over when I get both of you. Oh no, does he think?

Dan (Wren):

we're a couple. I mean, would that be a problem?

Chris (Salvador):

No, it's just.

Russell (Upri):

He's being so bold.

Kai (Yonce):

Armstrong is his name. Yeah, that's him With an eye, but not where you expected he does stick out.

Dan (Wren):

However, didn't we discuss how wizards are? The circuit gay is of? That's true. So this honestly doesn't, it just doesn't seem out of character for the people of the Underdark.

Chris (Salvador):

It's so nice that the wizards are so free here and where. I'm from they're pretty stuffy.

Dan (Wren):

I mean, they're like tied to contracts and licenses and whatnot.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah they have to be proprietary, they have to behave in a certain way. Anyway, I wave back to the mustache man. Oh ho, oh jeez.

Dan (Wren):

So bizarre, but good for him.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah.

Dan (Wren):

Alright to the university.

Timothy (DM):

I follow you just like a steady 20, 30 feet, so you're walking down the pavement up to the university doors and you can see that the reversal of time has re-stood up the university. So it's this big tower at the edge of the island, but you do see a little fault line where there is like evidence of the crack and the destruction, but just a slight one, just a reminder of what you had done. Put a bandaid over it. Let's keep it together. Put a bird on it.

Timothy (DM):

And just a signifier of the limits of Gladys' power? Yes, but does anyone at the university remember getting cracked and the collapse and then being uncrashed.

Russell (Upri):

That's a great question.

Dan (Wren):

I wonder if there are fail safes though that like teleport everybody out, should something bad happen? I don't know.

Timothy (DM):

Just a thought yeah, we did not establish, and so it's literally just one tower, like that's the whole university.

Chris (Salvador):

Oh, it's like a citadel, gotcha.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, I'm assuming at some point we were like told where they would be, should we decide to visit.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, they were staying in Serals. So Seral has like a room there for some reason, because he spends like long nights there doing research and shit. I don't know. He's one of those types of people. So they're staying with Seral, okay, so you'd be able to like find the directory, find?

Dan (Wren):

Serals Office.

Timothy (DM):

What's Serals last name?

Russell (Upri):

Seral.

Timothy (DM):

Doesn't have a last name.

Dan (Wren):

Professor Seral, that's all it says. Professor Seral, yes.

Russell (Upri):

MD.

Russell (Upri):

He's got a law degree.

Timothy (DM):

An MPH A capem.

Dan (Wren):

PMP.

Chris (Salvador):

MBA, mph.

Dan (Wren):

Oh, probably that's what I have Business. What is that Administration?

Russell (Upri):

MBA.

Kai (Yonce):

I thought you got a KC.

Timothy (DM):

Keeper of cats there's just like there are a lot of honorifics attached to his name.

Dan (Wren):

It is just Seral. It's like Seral and then like three or four lines of just acronyms.

Chris (Salvador):

It's like the tab, don't you?

Kai (Yonce):

Discount code too, except for metal plakarum.

Dan (Wren):

We'll head up to whatever floor Seral is on.

Timothy (DM):

So you make your way up the tower.

Russell (Upri):

Is there security there?

Timothy (DM):

was just like a receptionist at the front desk.

Russell (Upri):

You hear in the lobby Oh-ho.

Timothy (DM):

They're not that concerned with security. You do notice as you're like walking around, that there are like a lot of security features built into the Citadel. There's these like little, like stone, laser things that can.

Russell (Upri):

I don't know.

Dan (Wren):

There's lots of like yeah, arcane eyes, it's like laser-based. Do you have to like hop over to it? Do?

Timothy (DM):

you have like lasers that scan the hallways and like lots of weird features. Weird like magitech and stuff. And you have like the same kind of elevator situation as you did when you went to the Builders Guild, where it's like a more of a teleportation, where you're like beamed up to the 21st floor which Seral's office is on.

Dan (Wren):

How quickly does it, do it. That feels like a stomach wrench.

Russell (Upri):

Pretty quick. There's an elevator. I get in the elevator Ren like flunked.

Dan (Wren):

I got that.

Russell (Upri):

I'm wearing a shirt now as I get in the elevator.

Russell (Upri):

And then halfway up I flex and it just explodes off me.

Dan (Wren):

The scraps of fabric just fly out of the elevator and see if it gets off.

Chris (Salvador):

Interesting mustache.

Timothy (DM):

And then, sure enough, you see a plockard with his name and extensive list of honorifics attached to it on what looks to be an office door. Yeah, we knock. As you knock on the door, it quickly swings open, where Seral is holding three glasses of mimosa.

Kai (Yonce):

Gosh, I can't wait for this cigarette to die.

Timothy (DM):

Oh, Ren Salvador, so wonderful of you to join us today. Give her a drink.

Chris (Salvador):

All right, that was the drinks.

Timothy (DM):

Yes, Ren, we'll just grab one. Yeah, I'll take one as well.

Chris (Salvador):

And this one's for me. Oh, what about our friend?

Russell (Upri):

I'm on the other hallway knocking on a door.

Chris (Salvador):

Just a random door.

Russell (Upri):

That's a supply closet.

Timothy (DM):

Who knows it what?

Dan (Wren):

friend.

Chris (Salvador):

Oh we, I don't know. There's a man that's following us.

Dan (Wren):

He seems harmless though.

Timothy (DM):

He like leans in and he goes do you need me?

Dan (Wren):

to call security.

Russell (Upri):

No, I just flat out, start sprinting on the hallway.

Kai (Yonce):

I guess I missed that.

Chris (Salvador):

You actually knew that you were being followed.

Kai (Yonce):

That makes it so much funnier.

Dan (Wren):

Truly no, he's truly, I think he's truly harmless.

Chris (Salvador):

I think he's just lonely.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, he's seen me at the end of the hallway around the corner Watching I wave. Oh, no Well and he ushers you in and he closes the door behind you.

Russell (Upri):

And then he locks it Okay. I will go immediately to the door and just put my ear against it and listen.

Kai (Yonce):

I miss so much. I miss so much.

Timothy (DM):

Well, what do I have the pleasure of the visit for?

Dan (Wren):

Oh, we came to see the for.

Chris (Salvador):

Desley.

Dan (Wren):

Oh, of course. You're trying to think of a good trio name, but it's just like we're workshopping it Too too many syllables.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, too many consonants. Yes, silly me to assume we're here to see Paul old Cyril.

Chris (Salvador):

Well, Sarah, I just saw you yesterday.

Timothy (DM):

Yes, yes, yes, yes, I'm aware. Anyways, we are in the in-law suite. Just in the back there's a spiral stairway will take you right on up. Thank you so much.

Chris (Salvador):

How are you doing? I feel like it's oh, go ahead.

Dan (Wren):

No, I was gonna say I just throw back the drink and go.

Chris (Salvador):

I try to do like a minute or two of small talk.

Timothy (DM):

Salvador Higgs back. I'm doing wonders of my dear. How about yourself? How was your?

Chris (Salvador):

date, it was fine. We went to an abandoned ruin and we I gave him a bracelet. It is very, is very quaint.

Timothy (DM):

Nice and the Delves. They were so-so Pretty murderous.

Chris (Salvador):

That makes sense they yes, thankfully, we avoided a lot of killer robots by not interacting with them.

Timothy (DM):

Well lucky you.

Chris (Salvador):

We ran into a strange figure. Do you know about the um? We can talk about this later. I really have to go. Thank you so much for the strength.

Timothy (DM):

Of course I'll just be here spending time with myself in the living room. Cool, if you should you need anything, of course, thank you.

Chris (Salvador):

Well, I'll leave you to it and I rub the stairs Um and like you leave.

Timothy (DM):

You see that like he kind of just goes and like sits on a sofa and just kind of like sits there with his little mimosas and starts sipping it. Um, you make your way up the spiral staircase Ren's already up at the top, um, and you are greeted by Lark.

Dan (Wren):

I, uh, I-.

Timothy (DM):

They smile and they like stand up and they make their way, they like um, they basically charge at you.

Dan (Wren):

They as in the three of them.

Russell (Upri):

Well, yes their form.

Timothy (DM):

Um, but they present themselves as Lark. Oh right, they can do that. Yeah, they can elusory project the image.

Dan (Wren):

Is it like a?

Timothy (DM):

physical elusory too. Like okay, no, the moment that they like so they go to put their arms around you. So as long as you don't like pull away or anything, they will wrap their arms around you and you can feel their form is like much more hulking, Wider, taller. I'll give them a lumpier, that's fine Um so you can feel their actual form.

Dan (Wren):

Um, I'm going to uh uh, hive mine sal for a second and just be like. This is gonna suck. Why do you say that? Do you not remember what I said about? Oh, that you don't love them anymore. That's not what I said. Oh, never mind, I'm connected.

Kai (Yonce):

I feel like during this uh, uh, I'm still in the hallway being like oh, oh oh actually as soon as they move out of your shot.

Russell (Upri):

I would like to look for access to the outside of the building to climb through a window and see if I can find Cirrus apart. Oh my gosh.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, there are like really dramatic, grand like Florida ceiling windows at the end of each of the halls Um that you can like go into. They are like sealed Like. They're not like functional opening windows.

Russell (Upri):

Is anyone around? No, I run through it.

Timothy (DM):

All right, give me a strength check. Are you about to Spider-Man? You are on the 21st floor.

Russell (Upri):

Um, that is a 12.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, you are going to smash into the glass, um, and it's gonna hurt, um, but you don't break through.

Russell (Upri):

Oh.

Timothy (DM):

A 12 is not gonna break through the glass.

Russell (Upri):

I attack it.

Timothy (DM):

So you start like hacking at it. I'm proficient in attacking with strength, but not running into things. Yeah.

Russell (Upri):

Cool, uh, it's plus 11, though.

Russell (Upri):

So 18.

Russell (Upri):

18. Shut me right up, Okay it shatters Um.

Timothy (DM):

unfortunately, it also is gonna set off the security. So, as you break the window, you just hear like an alarm going off down the hallway. Oh and uh, the lights go out and it's just red lights.

Dan (Wren):

Oh, Does this happen everywhere? Like it's not.

Russell (Upri):

Does this all go to lockdown?

Timothy (DM):

No, it's just the hallway and then you do see like a great door at the other end of the hallway crashes down sealing off this hallway. Can I climb out the window? Yeah, so you climb out the window, okay, um, give me an acrobatic.

Russell (Upri):

Cause you're on a ledge. Yeah you're on a ledge and it's skyscraper no this is not an athletic feat.

Timothy (DM):

This is an acrobatic feat.

Kai (Yonce):

Just because you want to be nosy.

Russell (Upri):

Uh, nine, nine.

Timothy (DM):

You're gonna slip, so make a dexterity save.

Russell (Upri):

I'm just gonna summon my wings Gorgeous.

Timothy (DM):

She flies, you fall off the ledge and you're like in that moment you're like, oh wait, I could fly. And your wings just burst out of your back and you're just like flying through the air alongside the tower.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, I'm just gonna fly around, not hiding at all, so I still have leaf wings but look like Colonel Armstrong, I just look for a window, do we?

Timothy (DM):

see. So you make your way up, you make your way up. Okay, so this is taking a little bit of time. We're gonna go back to the conversation, because that is gonna happen, the more important thing.

Dan (Wren):

Yes, I don't know. This is very important. What's happening?

Timothy (DM):

right now very important. Oh my fucking goodness, All right. So, uh, Larka's giving you a hug, and then Salvador. You hear Desmond's voice, Salvador.

Chris (Salvador):

Hey, how's it going?

Timothy (DM):

We finally paid us a visit.

Chris (Salvador):

You know it's been a busy couple days, so busy.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, I mean, I thought that it would be, but thought you'd be able to make a little bit of time to say hello.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah, I, I don't know. I've just been feeling pretty. I just had a lot to think about. These last couple months we've been separated, since we reunited after the five years that we'd been separated.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, it's a little. It's a little bit complicated and fucked up right.

Chris (Salvador):

Very yes, that's a good adjective.

Timothy (DM):

I totally get that. I still think you shouldn't avoid me. I think we should have a conversation.

Chris (Salvador):

With with hey Ren, you want to sit, we can have a. We can have a chat, yeah.

Dan (Wren):

I here. Okay, here's what I think Ren would do, because Ren can have a conversation without having a conversation. He's like actually talking. He's first going to try and ping Freya. Oh, is she as I? As I like, search the room for minds to ping into. Do I feel three?

Timothy (DM):

separate minds. Yes, you do. Okay, I'm going to ping Freya very quickly. Yeah.

Dan (Wren):

Does she answer? Does she pick up?

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, she goes.

Dan (Wren):

I'm just going to be like, hey, I'm going to have a quick mental conversation with Wesley, all right, I don't know how connected you are with his mind.

Timothy (DM):

Oh no, we, we severed this off a while ago.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, okay, I just wanted to make sure, because I do want to have a private conversation with Wesley, and then I will unpinger, and then I'm going to ping Wesley.

Timothy (DM):

All right, and Wesley does pick up.

Dan (Wren):

And I don't want to say words, I just want to convey feeling All right, and I'm going to go through like memory in a way, because I first like one I no longer have carnal urges, so that's like not even on the table for me, so he can feel that. And then I want to just like go through. I don't know, it's weird to say I want to go through the grief process with him because I, he died. I buried him.

Timothy (DM):

Yes, you did.

Dan (Wren):

And then I got over it To an extent, like like the way that, like you never truly, you know, let go of grief. But then, like I have, because I think Ren has like a deep love for Wesley that is never going to go away, but it isn't romantic in the way that it used to be, it's familial, it's like. It's like there's like a deep connection still there. But I just want to like I don't think Ren has the words to be able to describe how he feels, so he's going to do that through, just like remembering his experience of losing Wesley and then finding Wesley again.

Dan (Wren):

All right, so you feel and this all happens all as Sal is having this conversation, yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Very like high intensity because Desmond, like always, is like very bubbly.

Dan (Wren):

And I imagine that Ren reaches up to Wesley's face and they, like, put their foreheads together.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, and you feel like a wetness like on your shoulder and we're both crying yeah.

Russell (Upri):

Not because he's a weird flesh, yeah.

Dan (Wren):

They've like patched up the flesh column so that like it's like like sure, it's still two people combined together, but they're not like oozing at the seams all the time.

Timothy (DM):

Oh yeah, it's healed, there's not open wounds. You feel a wetness on your shoulder and there's like a sigh.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, Like Wesley will always be Ren's partner. Yeah, ren will always. Like they're always going to be life partners. Like there is a deep connection there between the two of them that that Ren doesn't want to lose. But Ren no longer like feels romantically towards yeah, like too much time has passed. Ren is different from the person that he was when he knew Wesley like dramatically different.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah. Ah I understand, but for me it's only been a few months that this is going to take time. That's awkward.

Dan (Wren):

I understand that, and if you need space from me, no. No, please, I don't want space, I just need time I'll give him a kiss on the cheek and, like a side hug, test to not hug the whole body, because to him you feel the warmth of his hand on your cheek as he kisses you back. And mind you are, I'm still having this connection. So we like feel each other, kiss each other. Does that make?

Timothy (DM):

sense. Yeah, so he tries to go for your mouth, but then as he approaches, you see or you feel, he at the last minute goes off to the side and just kisses the corner of your lip. That tracks, that's awkward.

Dan (Wren):

Listen.

Timothy (DM):

And then he pulls away for just a moment before he again pulls you in closer and hugs you even firmer and you will sit in a silence. It's not really silent because Selveter is talking in the background with Desmond, but you two are in your own little world. I mean, you're talking telepathically, you're having this like intimate moment.

Timothy (DM):

It's like a scene in an anime where they're having their like little flashback and it just kind of pulls out and it just feels so disconnected with what's physically happening and you just sit there in silence, holding each other.

Dan (Wren):

I imagine those like maybe six seconds that it actually takes to convey all that. Yeah, feels like an hour.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, it feels like eternity.

Dan (Wren):

And then, once it's like, comes down, cause I imagine like the emotions peak and then they come down rendlil.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah.

Dan (Wren):

We'll sever that connection and pull away, not in like a. I'm done with this kind of way, just like a the moment it passes.

Timothy (DM):

Yes, and you can see his composure is uncomfortable and you can see that he's very much in his head. Yeah, you see his body like pulls away a little bit, as if he was like motioning to go sit down, but the other two people that he's sharing a form with are occupied elsewhere, and so you see this like kind of rubber band, as like he pulls away a little bit. And that's when you hear Desmond talking with Salvador and he's like oh, oh, oh.

Chris (Salvador):

What were we saying? I think we were talking about the weather.

Timothy (DM):

Who the fuck is that?

Chris (Salvador):

That's right.

Russell (Upri):

Desmond points out the window and you see, yep, you see.

Dan (Wren):

I'm assuming we see the leaf, wings leaf wing figure you have your conversation. I'll go handle that. Do I know I've?

Russell (Upri):

been made. Do they look at me?

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, the windows are clear.

Russell (Upri):

I'm going to fly out away from the window as soon as I figure out which one, and you just hear like a something clip onto the side of the building. Is there a balcony.

Dan (Wren):

I'm going to go on the balcony but you guys have your conversation and we're having our conversation. What were we talking?

Timothy (DM):

about.

Chris (Salvador):

Who the fuck was that?

Timothy (DM):

Is there somebody outside?

Chris (Salvador):

following you. There was an older man that was following us and I think he's just really lonely, but I didn't know he could fly.

Kai (Yonce):

Girl connect the clues.

Timothy (DM):

Salvador. That's fucking weird. That's what I'm saying. No, look really weird. Why are you letting somebody follow you around the city and you seem so okay with that? Do I have your head checked?

Chris (Salvador):

No, that's pretty rude to say. I feel like this couldn't just be a random person that follows us up into a tower or turns into a bird, so it's probably somebody that we know.

Timothy (DM):

Salvador. You're literally outsiders in a city who are the supposed heroes of the realm and all that. I think that we're here. I think you should be a little bit more cautious.

Chris (Salvador):

Sure, I think it's up for you.

Russell (Upri):

I see.

Chris (Salvador):

I rolled a dirty 20.

Russell (Upri):

That's fair, that's true, and once you see the wings.

Timothy (DM):

That is enough to reconnect.

Chris (Salvador):

That's the dots. Alright. So she got this new ability. She merged with her plant. You know, some people are very connected to the things that they keep.

Timothy (DM):

You know I am not going to be one to judge others merging with other entities. Yeah, and he looks like down at himself.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah, so what do you want to talk about?

Timothy (DM):

Well, I don't know. What do you want to talk about?

Chris (Salvador):

I want to talk about how terrible I feel. I haven't had a day in the five years since I left that prison that I don't feel some sort of terrible about not murdering everybody in that building to make sure that you were okay from running away and I really need to have your head checked out.

Timothy (DM):

That is silly talk, Salvador. How the fuck were you supposed to do that?

Chris (Salvador):

I don't know. It seemed pretty insurmountable, given that it didn't have anything.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah.

Chris (Salvador):

And we hadn't really eaten in two days. But yeah, I don't know. I feel like I'm the one who's the most survivor's guilt, I suppose.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, I mean, I'd say, talk to someone about that but maybe I'm the one to talk to.

Chris (Salvador):

I don't know. I feel like a lot of people don't understand that situation other than you, but I am sorry that I put off coming to see you because I didn't want to revisit the feelings of grief that I had.

Timothy (DM):

I wasn't going to make it any better, but to give you a little insight from my perspective, I died so, like I've already done, one of the supposedly worst things that you could possibly do on this planet, and you know what Water under the bridge, salvador? Oh, here I am. I don't know. Define the laws of nature.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah.

Timothy (DM):

In reality in some weird fuck-deaf alternative. You're fine.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah, whenever I first saw you in that demiplane, I was like, oh man, that's the Frankenstein monster that we'd seen in the escape route where they jam the giant gem in your skull. Does that come with any benefits? Well, it just seems terrible on its face. That I don't know if you feel any better or if it's a way to store multiple things in one body. I don't know.

Timothy (DM):

Benefit is an odd way to phrase it Benefits to a potential nefarious organization that sought to control people like this. Sure, but let's just say I don't tap into those powers now that I've regained my consciousness.

Chris (Salvador):

Gotcha, I've also had one question that I've been wanting to ask why did I have to return that medallion that you gave me in the prison to the cottage in Valeria?

Timothy (DM):

Ah, yeah, hmm, my parents would find it a little bit more important.

Chris (Salvador):

Sorry, that point was not.

Timothy (DM):

Turns out, they uh themselves before you were able to make it there. So Hmm.

Chris (Salvador):

You know Well, the strange thing about that town is that it was stuck in time. Yeah, oh, did we already talk about this?

Timothy (DM):

You know, I probably could have given you a little bit more information.

Chris (Salvador):

Did you know?

Timothy (DM):

that was stuck in time About things and my family and stuff. Yeah, but we were, the situation was not the most conducive to conversation.

Chris (Salvador):

I mean, we had three days where we didn't do anything.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, but there was that hard ass. What was her name?

Chris (Salvador):

Helen, there's Kevin, there's Vince Helen would not let us fucking talk. Honestly, she was the nicest.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, Something about us being able to talk to each other and figure out plans. She was very suspicious in like for a good reason you got out, yeah.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah, but yeah, I died, though I definitely got.

Timothy (DM):

And my dad. Then they stuck a crystal in my head, mashed me with these two.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah, of all the people you get a supposed in a mercenary.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, turns out I was just a vessel. So Lark and I were just a vessel to hold Freya, but Turns out you need a lot to hold a dummy. God, yeah, one person doesn't really do it so they got two.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah, which is odd because Rand had said did you tell me that you buried Wesley?

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, so they dug him up, yeah.

Chris (Salvador):

Where did you bury him?

Dan (Wren):

I mean close to where he died.

Chris (Salvador):

I was like a battlefield.

Dan (Wren):

We were in war, gotcha, okay, I remember he was next to the woods in a nice peaceful grove.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, turns out being the child of cultists. Oh, yeah, he's special too, he has some sort of fated disposition. So I think we were already pre-chosen, pre-selected for this ritual and once we were dead, perfect, Open, empty vessel.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah, we heard that, gladys was in town from a friend of ours. She's what, or at least, and that's where we're going to go on a short little bit.

Dan (Wren):

I'm so excited to call it up. I'm so excited to call it up.

Russell (Upri):

So we are going to go on a 10 minute break.

Timothy (DM):

I'm going to throw on a little timer and then we will continue this whack-ass game and we'll continue this whack-ass conversation after the break, so see you all shortly.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I'll do it again for 599.

Dan (Wren):

A 599 subscription to my only burps.

Russell (Upri):

You can charge at least 15 or 20 for that.

Timothy (DM):

We are back after short break and we were in the middle of a Great conversation.

Chris (Salvador):

I so well it's it's one of my, my fortes of yes, having great one-on-ones with people, so we had left off by.

Timothy (DM):

Desmond said what doesn't say what. Gladys gladys here in the city. Hey, that's what I heard from I haven't seen her in Gosh well before I died. So the five years ago. Basically okay. Well, I actually haven't seen her since I was a child. She was around a lot when I was growing up, yeah, then she dipped out.

Chris (Salvador):

She like your great-grandma, great-great-great great-grandma, something like that. Interesting that you still kept the the familial name, or maybe she kept her family, her, her maiden name.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, I mean, I think it was a little bit of like a little moniker that she carried around. But new glad is the time which oh but did they know, gladys the?

Russell (Upri):

human. Is that the family name? Time which yes.

Timothy (DM):

It'd be hard to classify her as human, but then again, am I human anymore?

Chris (Salvador):

you're more human than most of us.

Timothy (DM):

I Really appreciate that compliment, salvador. Thank you very much I.

Dan (Wren):

Think it's cuz. Most of us are part elf or not human. Oh.

Chris (Salvador):

Is more doing it, that he is too human. Stitch together. Oh, that's true. I've been taken multiple ways and I'm glad he took it the kindest way. Should we go see what that whole nonsense on the balcony is?

Timothy (DM):

yeah, I'm kind of interested. I Only met up for a moment, but I knew that she was a character, so let's go say hello.

Dan (Wren):

I Imagine I get that out there yeah, you get out there before them. I would like to just lean on the balcony, do I? Did I see which way up we?

Russell (Upri):

oh, when I'm right next to the balcony just planted on the building you oh. Hi, up re, I'm not up re. I live here, yeah, I lost my keys.

Dan (Wren):

Oh and you also happen to have leafy wings.

Russell (Upri):

This isn't my apartment.

Dan (Wren):

They're rental I hold up my hand, oh.

Russell (Upri):

Thank you, kind stranger, I'll take you up on the balcony.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, up re. I Know it's you who's up re.

Russell (Upri):

My name is down re.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, down right. Oh, all right everybody. This is down re oh. He lives here and lost his keys.

Timothy (DM):

Interesting. Well, where would you have lost? This is where were you last down, re oh.

Russell (Upri):

On the ground floor, but since the juicy parts are over, I should go look.

Kai (Yonce):

And.

Russell (Upri):

I'm just gonna jump off the railing and fall wait before you do that.

Kai (Yonce):

You just see yonce with two elders blaspheming like never mind.

Timothy (DM):

Oh, my gosh, all right, all right. Well, that was interesting.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah you should always like that. Kind of yeah kind of just recent events just make her a little particularly uh uh Spassie yeah yeah did anything happen in the last couple of hours or last day.

Chris (Salvador):

The seems out of the normal.

Timothy (DM):

Gosh, that's a bit of a difficult question. Lately I'm unlike ever since I was like relived. What kind, what kind of things are you talking about, salvador? What kind of things that I would be weird.

Chris (Salvador):

You know, if nothing stands out, then forget.

Dan (Wren):

I asked. All right Question for, I guess, the both of the three of you, the both of you, the three of you yeah questions. Yeah, that's pretty normal. Yeah, does your muscle memory transfer across the whole body? Because I know that Wesley here used to be a pretty avid fencer. But, yeah, mm-hmm, but Based on the split. He, you know Wesley only has his offhand available and if we wanted to, I was just thinking maybe we could spar sometimes.

Timothy (DM):

Since.

Russell (Upri):

I've used it.

Timothy (DM):

Unfortunately, that was something that took a little bit of a while to Get used to. Turns out that when your entire body is all kind of spliced together and parts are missing and other parts are added, it's a bit confusing on the brain. So, like when we have control over our body, it's a bit awkward. As you might noticed, do a lot lumbering around.

Dan (Wren):

Sure, what if I linked the two of you together? And I do it we.

Timothy (DM):

Can do that, this, if we want to. We chose to to divide the mind.

Dan (Wren):

Sure, but if I were to link you two together telepathically, so you feel each other's movements, would that work?

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, that doesn't differ from what, we're great, we'll do in regards.

Dan (Wren):

Oh, okay, cool, Cool, I didn't realize that.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, yeah, we can we can take control of the bat. At the beginning it was really just Freya all the time.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, my what? My concern is that we're headed into war times and yeah. I imagine that at some point you're gonna be in danger, and it might be worth just say our abilities are different.

Timothy (DM):

Now, okay, well, I don't know. Wesley and if we need to, we'll pull those out, all right as a Wesley used to enjoy.

Dan (Wren):

we used to enjoy sparring together, so just thought I had Let him go.

Kai (Yonce):

Gosh, you just broke up with this.

Dan (Wren):

I'm trying to be nice. Okay, sparring, yes, sword fighting.

Timothy (DM):

Yes, exactly. So then Wesley's voice does come out. Yeah, Salvador.

Chris (Salvador):

Sorry.

Dan (Wren):

Oh, are you moved on?

Timothy (DM):

Oh.

Dan (Wren):

Salvador, wink it's fine.

Russell (Upri):

You can date my boyfriend, that's fine.

Timothy (DM):

Something we're accepting now?

Dan (Wren):

No, well, if you want to spar, sometimes I have this fancy new rapier that I've been wanting to get more practice with.

Timothy (DM):

I Think right now it's a bit of an open wound, but I appreciate it.

Dan (Wren):

Sword, fighting with an open wound. Okay yeah, we're gonna move on. We're gonna move on.

Russell (Upri):

Forgot to put bourbon in my coffee while we're up there.

Chris (Salvador):

How's it been staying with Cyril? He seems like a character.

Timothy (DM):

It's been, you know what it's been actually really nice Cyril is, so it's a really good listener and Well, we've had a lot to talk about.

Chris (Salvador):

He does seem to be a good competent yeah.

Dan (Wren):

Are they gonna quadruple up? Are they gonna make a good for them? Yeah, I think we should go.

Russell (Upri):

I.

Dan (Wren):

Don't know what to say Goodbye, I Don't have any. I don't have any good words. There are no good words.

Timothy (DM):

No, they really aren't yeah this is. This is weird, but I'm glad you. I'm glad you came by and I've been needing this.

Dan (Wren):

I would like to come by more, if that's okay.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, I think, I think that would be well.

Dan (Wren):

You just broke up with that but yeah, it's, it's like it's weird. Yeah, it's weird because I don't want to date him, but I still want to be like life partners with it.

Chris (Salvador):

What.

Dan (Wren):

Listen, listen yeah as a poly person like an actual poly person, human being, who is Polly?

Kai (Yonce):

Wait, you're Polly, oh yeah.

Dan (Wren):

That's like. That's just like feels very natural that like life partners don't need to be romantic or sexual. They can just be like lifelong friends who like spend a lot of time and want to be around all the time. We all have friends like that. We all have friends who like that, that, that you get that good feeling around. Yeah, that's it.

Kai (Yonce):

That's Pirellis.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, maybe Yonsei doesn't.

Timothy (DM):

But, Yonsei.

Dan (Wren):

I imagine views upry like a life partner of sorts yeah, family yeah, but yeah but yeah, a sister. But also, like you do, you don't always feel that way about your siblings. You don't always want to be around your siblings, like not all siblings are equal.

Kai (Yonce):

I really want to be around myself.

Russell (Upri):

So this is being recorded. I know I'm not talking about anyone in specific.

Chris (Salvador):

I thought my brother he'll understand.

Kai (Yonce):

I don't want to get involved in this. You hear a hive. The hive might open up. Can we move the clock?

Chris (Salvador):

Anyway so lovely to see you. We must be going about, yeah so you all exchange goodbyes?

Timothy (DM):

That happens. We're actually gonna shift back to Yonsei for just a moment, because you hear a knock on the door.

Kai (Yonce):

You hear me being like I'm a train wreck in the morning. I guess I'm a train wreck all the time.

Timothy (DM):

Yes, Yonsei, it's, it's Daphne. Come on in come back another time if you'd wish. I just figured it'd be nice to talk.

Kai (Yonce):

Yeah, I guess come in, it is your house.

Timothy (DM):

The door creaks on open and you see Daphne in like a nightgown. She has her hair like braided very loosely and pulled back and she has a little bonnet on as well.

Kai (Yonce):

Wait, it's any black In my culture braided bonnet, oh yeah yeah, no, she's an old lady, they also a picture like a doily. That's how you knew we grew up in two different cultures, because I thought one way.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, I can tell you hi Daphne um, I just I wanted to talk to you because I know that you've been having a hard time and I just I Wanted to make sure that you were okay.

Kai (Yonce):

I mean I'm not okay. I've almost died multiple times. I'm in a city that I don't know Sister kind of died, came back to well, was kidnapped, came back five years. We haven't even even processed that my family was kidnapped and then when we got them back, wasn't able to stay with them. So I'm not okay. I've. It's been a lot happening over the past few months.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, there has been. I wish I could say it was gonna get better, maybe After this is all done. There's there's hope. I'm still holding on to hope and I hope that you are too.

Kai (Yonce):

Yeah and I cast condoms in condemnation. Condemnation, condemnation. How do you press condemnation?

Timothy (DM):

condemnation.

Kai (Yonce):

Condemnation okay. I don't know, I don't actually do that. That would be so rude.

Russell (Upri):

What.

Timothy (DM):

I would also challenge you to figure out what Daphne's sin is nosy, nosy.

Russell (Upri):

Fucking everywhere.

Timothy (DM):

I Wanted to say that I'm sorry for a lot of what you've been put through. I know I Don't have a lot of control over that none of us really do but I still feel the pull that you are feeling. It's one of the Curses of my abilities to to feel everything around me, and I know you in particular, been having a really difficult time with All the directions, all the directions that you are being pulled in, all of the Chaos and Turmoil. But I don't want that to dim your light. I think I Think you Often forget how bright you are. I did also want to talk to you a little bit about Seral, because I know that's been a little, a little bit of a Contentious point. I know you're not fond of him.

Kai (Yonce):

He's so fucking annoying.

Timothy (DM):

I know. I know, and For that I also want to apologize. He does that for me. He he thinks it helps and I have at the heart to tell him that he doesn't need to do that. See, not only do I feel everything around me, but these abilities ever since I was a child. They focus on Doom, catastrophe. I've Fallen numb To destruction. For me it's a nightly happening and Seral he Creates this Energy to distract from that so that I can continue feeling. And I know that that's rubbed you the wrong way. I know that that Can be very Annoying. You said fucking annoying.

Timothy (DM):

But it's okay to just say that to him he'll understand.

Kai (Yonce):

Listen, I, even though I've been going through a lot, but I also recognize that people are people and that everyone is dealing with their own stuff and process it their own ways. I Don't know where this point was going, but it's there and I will Be nicer to zero or Tempt to. I can't, don't hold me to it.

Timothy (DM):

That was not the intention of me coming here, okay okay, I appreciate the sentiment. If there's ever anything that you need, any Thing that I can do to support you, please don't hesitate to ask.

Kai (Yonce):

You see, yonce kind of get a little uncomfortable because processing feelings is weird Part in the dating life. I'm kidding um. Thank you, I appreciate that.

Timothy (DM):

All right, you go get some rest now. I will leave you be. I'll see you in the morning. Wait, before you go, I have to tell you something.

Kai (Yonce):

You're out of that's burles, I'll have cereal picks them up on the way over.

Timothy (DM):

It may be a little bit of a mess, but I'm gonna go get some rest On the way over maybe just double the order, just in case, of course.

Kai (Yonce):

All right, perfect.

Timothy (DM):

And she slowly creaks the door back closed. You hear the click of Mechanism in the frame and then you hear the creaking of her foot falls down the hallway. As you were left alone for the rest of the evening, did I phrase that Is there a weird way to phrase that. Sorry, nobody bothers you.

Russell (Upri):

No, we're deals.

Timothy (DM):

Nobody knocks on your door.

Kai (Yonce):

You can have a sleep finally, yonsei lays in the bed and just looks at the ceiling as we fade to black.

Timothy (DM):

And as long as there was nothing else you wanted to accomplish tonight, we can all go to bed. Have a long rest.

Russell (Upri):

Yes hi, I would like to forgo a long rest and spend the evening crime fighting as Colonel Armstrong.

Timothy (DM):

If that is what you want to do, you can do it.

Russell (Upri):

What do I roll for crime fighting? But I don't recommend it because I will take the point of exhaustion.

Timothy (DM):

What Tomorrow is a potentially difficult day perfect. There's also not crime in this city.

Russell (Upri):

Oh, I'm like Canton trees.

Timothy (DM):

I mean not not.

Chris (Salvador):

The cats are probably.

Timothy (DM):

Crime. The crime is gonna be very subtle and behind closed doors, like the tax rate all right, I'm for an hour and I get bored and this is a highly magical city where the government will Fucking rain down on you rain.

Dan (Wren):

That's not, though that's not the words to that song, that's okay.

Timothy (DM):

All right. You all awaken the next morning to the smell of bacon, coffee, toast and butter it. Where's the long rest button there? It is having completed a long rest.

Chris (Salvador):

Yay, change out my spells now.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, you all can change out spells. That's the thing you can do, oh my god that must be so nice wait, can I do that now?

Dan (Wren):

No.

Timothy (DM):

Yours are locked in actually no salad, or the only way. Yeah those up for a long rest.

Chris (Salvador):

Everybody else's spells are locked in, but sometimes these sessions, like we'd go for five sessions it's still the same day, true.

Timothy (DM):

I do pack a lot into individual days.

Chris (Salvador):

It's good, but it's more of a challenge. Friday it is.

Russell (Upri):

Friday Good morning.

Timothy (DM):

everybody Happy Friday have the arena day yet no, it's tomorrow.

Dan (Wren):

That's tomorrow.

Timothy (DM):

The arena day is tomorrow. We can fast forward there if there's nothing that you actually want to do today.

Dan (Wren):

I just want to ask upbringing how her night was?

Russell (Upri):

It was it was good yeah a lot of crime in this city, or cats and trees case we're wondering. Okay, yeah, yeah, why do we? Why? How was yours?

Dan (Wren):

No, I'm just wondering. No, it was good we had a you know what kind of a tough conversation with. Oh yeah, her, yeah. Yeah, I imagine, yeah, okay yeah, I mean, it is what is. We'll move into a good place at some point, but anyways okay like a laughter.

Chris (Salvador):

Do we have to meet up with Dax? I know she gave us that letter yesterday.

Dan (Wren):

You have to do something today.

Timothy (DM):

You don't have to do anything. You did get a letter to meet up with Dax at noon today at pennies. You also have an outstanding deal with the obscura that Included a letter about cutting off the vipers head. Tomorrow's arena day. Well, tomorrow is arena. What's it called? Placements, qualifiers, qualifiers.

Dan (Wren):

Um, Well, I did. We definitely should meet up with Dax you know, the obscura can wait if we need, if we need to make them wait.

Russell (Upri):

Wait, who say do we cut?

Chris (Salvador):

no, Probably Callista flock art. I mean flock art.

Russell (Upri):

I'm okay. Yeah, I'm ever crossed, I know.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah, yes.

Russell (Upri):

Murder. We do we need a matching day no.

Kai (Yonce):

No, I mean, that'd be a good pre qualifier for.

Dan (Wren):

I mean, I'm not participating in the Not to say that if we do go through with an assassination I Don't know why I whispered that really loudly yeah, the Stadium days might be a good day to do it, because a lot of people will be there and be distracted.

Kai (Yonce):

Well, maybe there's a way we can this assassinate her without actually assassinating.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, we could arrange an accident. That's not on the ants.

Kai (Yonce):

That's. That's not what I'm not Just send her a bouquet and it has to.

Chris (Salvador):

Bomb in it, bomb in orchid. Oh, oh, that's a little dangerous territory for podcasts.

Timothy (DM):

I'm not gonna lie.

Russell (Upri):

We're getting into you. Yeah, I mean, I'm well.

Dan (Wren):

Anyway, orchid, I mean, I special haven't you're not to to my own horn, but I do specialize in doing a lot of damage all at once. I mean same now, kind of yeah, it's fair just really loud and in their face I do it really quietly and in their back is you know.

Russell (Upri):

But Went a different way than that.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, but let's go. Let's go find acts. Yeah, go to go to Penelope. Penelope is the person that I know.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, yeah, so you Get to pennies a little bit before noon. Malroy is working along with Penny and the other unnamed bartender, now named bartender. No, the other ones that we've not gotten, oh I thought you said Alan the unnamed, the other unnamed bartender.

Dan (Wren):

It's like it's named now.

Timothy (DM):

So yeah, how do you? How do you enter? What do you? What are we doing?

Chris (Salvador):

I've disguised myself. That's one of my, that's one of my free things from the dreamer. It's, it's a, it's a soul Class spell that doesn't cost me anything. I don't have to do a will say port, but allows me to cast disguise, self at will.

Timothy (DM):

Oh, so you cast, decide self. What do you look like?

Chris (Salvador):

I look like a priest character, oh.

Russell (Upri):

A priest are real hard to keep a straight face.

Chris (Salvador):

But instead of going oh I go I'm just stroking my chin. Wow, what you are a specimen.

Russell (Upri):

Today say who me?

Chris (Salvador):

I'm not so oh, sorry male. My name is.

Russell (Upri):

Rod.

Russell (Upri):

Your name is.

Dan (Wren):

Rod. Yes, my name is.

Chris (Salvador):

Rod. Oh, I was trying to think of what Salvador backwards is my pencil.

Russell (Upri):

Role.

Dan (Wren):

Um, I will go talk to Mal Roy.

Timothy (DM):

So you enter, mal Ray recognizes the three of you. So Mal Ray recognizes up Ray, yonsei and Ren, and, like, gives you a wave.

Dan (Wren):

Do you have the note? I'm gonna take it from you.

Russell (Upri):

Oh, the note from Dax, yeah, yeah. No, no the note from Dax.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah, I hand it on what?

Dan (Wren):

can you remind me what the note says? Just I know, all right, I have the name in the back house that through. Pnn words noon, third portal noon.

Timothy (DM):

Third portal Penny speak with bracelet pennies portal Speak with bracelet. Yeah, speak with bracelet, okay.

Dan (Wren):

Hi, mal, it was Mal right, or would you go by, mal Roy?

Timothy (DM):

Sorry, I don't know also I really like your bracelet. It's very cute. You'll literally call me Mal. All my friends do nice to see you again. I love that bracelet.

Dan (Wren):

By the way, I don't know if you heard.

Timothy (DM):

Thank you, salvador gave it to me. Oh yeah, where. Where is he, by the way?

Kai (Yonce):

Oh.

Timothy (DM):

It's off.

Kai (Yonce):

I was really bad, my name is Mal Roy.

Timothy (DM):

You must be a friend of theirs. Oh, yes, indeed, I am Just visiting from out of town and your name is it's fraud rod. Nice to meet you, right last name in rule immovable. Well, I'll remember. Right right, I will commit that to memory.

Kai (Yonce):

Yeah, um Salvador wanted to be here, but he has really bad IBS, so he's at home.

Timothy (DM):

Well, that's very unfortunate. Yeah we all have our own demons to battle.

Kai (Yonce):

Well, there's something being bad.

Dan (Wren):

Well, we were actually here because we met Dax and I give him a knowing look Recently and she said to meet them here Around noon at the.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, I will get your order right on up. Just go have a seat on right over there and and he points the table that's right next to the back door perfect, Come on everyone, let's go sit.

Dan (Wren):

Come on rod.

Kai (Yonce):

I'll have your order right on up. Yes, we'll be just a Jaffee.

Russell (Upri):

Did Sal transform into Rod in front of every, or does she not understand that it's Sal?

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah, I did All right the bracelet. Yeah, he has a bracelet.

Russell (Upri):

I.

Dan (Wren):

Did not put those two dots together, just made sense to me, at least. I think that's what it is. Anyways, not the point. Go ahead all right.

Timothy (DM):

So he leaves out the back door, then he goes, he comes back with, like, a carafe of coffee and you see that as he like has this coffee, he like starts going around pouring it into cups of other patrons in the restaurant. And as he's doing so, you see that he's like saying something to each of the patrons and Then he goes and turns the little like blind, like window blinds thing is like oh yeah, the the Sun is just like really glaring in here today. I'm just gonna close these on up. And he just like very he like slowly does that throughout the restaurant Until all of the blinds are closed around the windows.

Russell (Upri):

He mailed. Isn't the Sun the same every day? Oh?

Timothy (DM):

It just sometimes that the settings are just. They're just a little glaring out. I Went out drinking last night.

Russell (Upri):

Oh.

Kai (Yonce):

I did and ways um did you want some coffee?

Russell (Upri):

Yes, I'll have one with bourbon.

Timothy (DM):

Right on up. I will get that for you. And then he, he like pours, he kind of like just pours a coffee and then he leaves and it's like half a cup of coffee. He just like splashes something in your cup, goes out the back door. Well, you know, and then you see the other two Bar tenders. They go and they just start chatting with the couple patrons and you see that they're positioning their bodies to be like between the patron and that back door. And then you hear Mal's voice.

Kai (Yonce):

Quickly now come on through. I Knew Ruto Ryan.

Timothy (DM):

And you see that the back door is cracked open. Just a little bit, slip out, yeah. So you slip out through the back door and he goes alright, bourdon with Reese, that one, and then he leaves and he goes back out into the Bar and you hear him like talking loudly, making like a lot of Conversation with various patrons, getting orders, bringing food, kind of putting on a little bit of a show, being a little smoke and mirrors situation.

Russell (Upri):

Wow, so I guess I'm not getting my bourbon.

Timothy (DM):

You are all pointed to portal number three.

Russell (Upri):

What is it? Can we inside still so?

Timothy (DM):

you're in the back room back. Oh the kitchen okay, so, but the kitchen is not a kitchen, it's a room with a bunch of portals in it to two other kitchens. Gotcha they contract, so poor number two.

Russell (Upri):

I mean three, sorry.

Timothy (DM):

Port number three is a Little like. It's a dimly lit. You can see like smoke pouring out and it has like a very like Spiced aroma coming from it.

Russell (Upri):

So like a smoke room.

Dan (Wren):

How many portals are there? Just question.

Timothy (DM):

I don't know, like 20.

Dan (Wren):

Can I do a quick scan and see if I recognize any as being an entropolis, like do I recognize restaurants on the other side?

Timothy (DM):

Give me a history shock, okay 12. None of them are really Jumping out to you.

Dan (Wren):

Okay cool, I'll figure it out later. Okay, portal number three Lark's perch is not. Oh yeah, we wouldn't.

Timothy (DM):

yeah, I would have known about it yeah, um, so you haven't been in a ton of the other kitchen.

Dan (Wren):

That's fair.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, all right.

Chris (Salvador):

Dax.

Russell (Upri):

Hello, see poppin through the portal and the woman, I suppose who to walk through.

Timothy (DM):

I think some of them we can pass right on oh so you pass right on through, entering into a kitchen where there are a bunch of cooks Over clay pots and they like quickly, like they don't Talk to you, they just usher you out of the kitchen into the restaurant area.

Timothy (DM):

Enter into the space, you see a lot of Tapestries, color tapestries, cushions, plush reds, gold trims, and you see a hookah being smoked in the corner you see a lot of low tables with family style meals all around, and in the far back you see Dax, penelope and the remaining members that you are aware of for the secret secretary society that's cube s cubed or they don't wait or Give way that they See that you are there we'll go sit down.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah.

Timothy (DM):

You go and you sit down with them and immediately they act as if they know you, as if you're like friends and they, they just start talking. Well, it glad that you decided to join us.

Dan (Wren):

Yes, thank you for having us. Thank you for the invite. Would you like?

Timothy (DM):

some lamb.

Chris (Salvador):

Sure, if you're buying it's a lunchtime.

Dan (Wren):

Oh right, this place.

Russell (Upri):

That's a lot Sure, does I'll have something to eat.

Kai (Yonce):

I will have a donut kebab. Please, and don't not to come, bob donor, donor.

Timothy (DM):

Oh, they just like motion because they have like a family style platter spread.

Russell (Upri):

Oh, I just take a couple of everything.

Timothy (DM):

I mean, they're just like motion, of course. Help yourselves, you know. We just wanted to give you a little thank you for Helping out yesterday.

Kai (Yonce):

We didn't really do anything.

Dan (Wren):

We kind of fucked it up, but I guess we also found out information about it.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah.

Dan (Wren):

So I guess, you're welcome.

Kai (Yonce):

I mean we'll take the credit. Yeah and any prizes that may come with it.

Russell (Upri):

Wait group bottle. They don't. Do we say that it was our friend that turned back time, or do we want pretend that was us?

Chris (Salvador):

We didn't say anything about it.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, I'll, well, I'll, tap into everybody's brain, the four of us and does Dax remember the undoing?

Chris (Salvador):

How would we if? If we remember it, then I would imagine the Dax would also remember it, but no, besides, daphne's commented on it, right?

Dan (Wren):

Yes, we never told Dax that everything reset in a weird time way.

Timothy (DM):

Continue yeah, we got you a little gift, oh, to thank you appropriately. Hopefully this is Helpful and in your endeavors. And so Beatrice picks up a box with like a little ribbon on it from out underneath the table and hands it to Jan, say what is it, ren?

Dan (Wren):

what is it?

Timothy (DM):

gets a box and Salvador gets a box. And then more magic, but I don't have a handout for it, so they're just gonna be bracers oh. That are like like a thick bangle plus one AC.

Russell (Upri):

Oh you have to do that. Yeah, I'm pretty broken already. Bill. Except, do they require a tuneman?

Timothy (DM):

No.

Dan (Wren):

What color is. So I got a dragon wing, though what color? I tell you what color. Yeah look real quick.

Timothy (DM):

Because I totally decided you are.

Dan (Wren):

What kind of dragon was killed to make this bow? Oh, murder that's how it works.

Timothy (DM):

I'm gonna say Psychic, psychic.

Dan (Wren):

Whoa.

Russell (Upri):

What's a psychic dragon? Yeah, what kind of dragon makes purple.

Russell (Upri):

What is an amethyst dragon?

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, the bow is purple. Oh, so here's the thing. We've been watching you for a while and Well, impressed is probably not the correct word, because you've been navigating. The social situations a little through it, strangely. But we do have confidence in your Combat prowess.

Russell (Upri):

Oh, by the way, this is our friend rod last name and move variable.

Kai (Yonce):

Oh, yes, I.

Timothy (DM):

I dropped the disguise oh yes, okay, um, that's over with. Wait that was perfect timing for the social yeah and we at the secret secretary, secret secretary society. Did you whisper that part?

Russell (Upri):

What.

Timothy (DM):

I have been searching for people like you for quite some time. Um, we've been noticing a lot of disruptions in the arcane and Well knowing of Daphne and serials work. At the university, we were becoming aware that something was on the horizon and we're hoping that you're the the ones that are going to deal with that. So we want to be here to support you and, yeah, I mean, I think that's pretty to the point. That's exactly what we're doing here.

Russell (Upri):

And how do you feel about creating accidents for people that were rude to you?

Timothy (DM):

Ask a. I don't really know what you're referencing. Um, it's a very ambiguous question. I feel like there's a lot of context that I would need to know in order to make it the decisive action on that. I Would have to take that back. Do a little bit of thinking.

Russell (Upri):

You just hear a pretty moderate amphibious. Amphibious, yes.

Timothy (DM):

But Dax here was telling us all about how you uh well, Maybe accidentally fix the machine yesterday. Oh, I mean yeah, truly that's accidentally fixing something is good enough in my book. So, on top of your combat prowess and maybe a little bit of luck, we have some confidence. You'll be able to do something.

Dan (Wren):

What exactly were you looking for us to do? So we haven't really the faintest.

Timothy (DM):

I feel like you're the ones who know what's going on, but we just know that something bad is gonna happen and we want to be here to support you.

Dan (Wren):

So you don't necessarily mean just the city collapsing into the water below, you mean in general.

Timothy (DM):

Oh, no, no, no, we're talking much bigger.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, okay, I wanted to make sure. Small fish, yes, yes something about the world.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, it definitely don't want that to happen, you know yeah. Pretty important. We all live here, don't we?

Chris (Salvador):

it's where I keep all my stuff, yeah that's true.

Dan (Wren):

Because we don't have a bag of holding, if not. But I guess, or do we?

Timothy (DM):

a back of holding? I don't think so. Have you all been needing a bag of holding? You haven't found one yet in this city.

Chris (Salvador):

We've really not had much in Cumberland's problem.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, we just we don't carry a lot on us, we're like pretty, yeah, right way, anyways. Well, we appreciate the support and the alliance of the secret secretary society. I'm, it does, oh, sorry, secret secretary society and it does seem you have like a pretty wide, wide influence on the city, which is great. Um, I.

Timothy (DM):

I think some of it's a bit of a share wheel power Sure.

Dan (Wren):

What sort of support can we rely on from the secret secretary side? What kind of support? I guess it's my question. I imagine military support is not one of the things the secret secretary side can provide no unfortunately not, but they will take notes.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, but we'll take very good notes and we're pretty good at getting in and out of places, making sure that things are accounted for and keeping tabs on things. You know, that's really our skill set. Unfortunately, we can't really offer much in the way of brute strength.

Dan (Wren):

That's fair, that makes sense. So does your influence spread outside of the city?

Timothy (DM):

A little bit, but we're pretty good about finding our way in. Okay, yes, need be.

Dan (Wren):

I'm happy to do so. That's excellent. I did have a. I guess I do have a small favor. If you don't mind, I hold up the letter that I wrote to Mara. If you could get this to Entropolis I would appreciate it. I know that there are tons of portals that go everywhere. I'm not sure if there's one that goes to Entropolis that you use regularly, but you could.

Timothy (DM):

You could have just dropped stuff at the post, but I'm happy to take it.

Russell (Upri):

Is that easy.

Dan (Wren):

Yes, excellent. Well, I mean, I could do that. That never mind. Well, and also, if you could, just next to City Hall, can we let the recipient of this letter know how to send letters back? Is that a service that they provide? Yes, absolutely, oh, excellent. Okay, I'll do that myself then. Thank you so much.

Timothy (DM):

Glad to be of service.

Dan (Wren):

Any other questions from the when are we right now?

Chris (Salvador):

Is this in the same town or is this in a different town? I ask, oh we're in Tlvarian. Tlvarian. Oh, that's a country that's very far away.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, far physically, if you were to walk, or I guess.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah.

Timothy (DM):

We don't really think of things like that here, because you got the yeah. Yeah, although we're not supposed to be able to pass like this, this is a potential security risk. Yeah.

Chris (Salvador):

I was thinking.

Timothy (DM):

Which is why we keep it a little in the hush hush.

Chris (Salvador):

I was thinking that when we went to the bakery, where, if you can get stuff in, you know there are monsters out, goopy monsters.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, we had to shut down a couple of the portals when Harrow fell and when oh.

Dan (Wren):

Syag, yeah, that makes sense.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, those were very unfortunate days. I do miss the Boba from Syag.

Dan (Wren):

What are you? Pointing at Looking at the map.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, it's far away.

Dan (Wren):

It is far away. It's like the other side of the continent. I'm pretty usual, I'm filled with questions, but I think the most pressing question is what is the secret? Secretaries societies take on the obscura and the goals of the obscura. We are trying to make allies in the city. I mean they kind of suck.

Timothy (DM):

Well, you could say the same thing about the Ascension. Oh, they're awful, they're worse, that's what.

Russell (Upri):

I'm saying Okay.

Timothy (DM):

Honestly, I think they always leave us high in the drive. They're good, yeah, that's why we exist. We've got to make sure that the city keeps running for us small folk here, oh okay, otherwise we get left behind.

Chris (Salvador):

Definitely seems to course, what with the world domination and whatnot.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. They'll give you some stupid little spiel about, like, the technology and piece that they can bring if they are able to do away with the current powers that are hoarding the wealth and leaving the people in the dark ages.

Kai (Yonce):

They are doing that this yeah, wow, crazy Yonsei stops dissociating while that's so bad. And then goes back to eating the kabob. Exactly. Also, do you all have Zasperela's here?

Timothy (DM):

Zasperela? No, but they do have something like it. I forget what it's called, but if you flag down one of the waiters, they could probably bring you the menu.

Kai (Yonce):

It seems like a lot of work, I'll just I'll stick with water.

Chris (Salvador):

Well, it's so nice sharing a meal with you, all of you, seeing you again.

Dan (Wren):

How should we contact you, should we need assistance with something?

Timothy (DM):

Well, now that we're at our little friends always probably an easy way to get to us. Yes, all right, we shift around the different portals, but try not to be too often in one place. That makes sense. I don't think our bosses would be very happy with uncovering that we've been doing stuff in the background.

Dan (Wren):

That also makes sense.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah, it seems like they'd kill you Wow.

Timothy (DM):

There are worse fates than dying, but yeah.

Kai (Yonce):

Getting fired with no benefits.

Russell (Upri):

You should meet their not boyfriend, okay.

Timothy (DM):

Hi, I'm.

Russell (Upri):

Upry.

Russell (Upri):

Yes, I'm Upry.

Russell (Upri):

This is quite falafel Gosh, I really went for falafel.

Kai (Yonce):

Well, I know, right, sorry.

Timothy (DM):

Do you all have any more interrogation to do?

Chris (Salvador):

No, I don't. What is your party?

Russell (Upri):

I can't enjoy your party, oh yeah this was nice.

Timothy (DM):

This is a party this was literally just intended to be a party being like hey, we've seen what you're doing, we're on your side. Thank goodness, I thought it was like a meeting, no.

Chris (Salvador):

They happen to have the meeting in these fancy places In a smoky bar on the other side of the world, I mean we do but checkbox in the quarter go ding ally game.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, yes, okay, allies games.

Chris (Salvador):

Okay, great. So if we need to do any sneaking or whatever, but are they in direct opposition to the obscura?

Russell (Upri):

Because they kind of do the same thing.

Chris (Salvador):

They dislike both. They're more in line with the town hall than anything.

Russell (Upri):

Oh, the Parthenon?

Chris (Salvador):

No, that's not, it's um council.

Russell (Upri):

No, the, the dragonborn silver something.

Chris (Salvador):

His name is Lorian Star. I was close. Oh, it's right there, I wrote it down.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, they don't have a lot of faith in him either. Oh, this is like the people.

Russell (Upri):

Oh yeah the people I guess my last interrogatory question.

Kai (Yonce):

The narrator what?

Dan (Wren):

Um, my last interrogatory question, which I will, you know, lay into just like casual conversation, is that like we are looking uh, we are looking for allies, as you might imagine, for the upcoming potential war scale, war level, like world war level, engagement sort of thing, and we need players who are, who function at that level and who don't suck and who don't, ideally, won't ask us to do bad things in the meantime.

Russell (Upri):

But what mind if we do some questionable things in the meantime?

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, Um, and if they have suggestions on who we might pursue to get that goal. Do you have a list of assets we can work by landing?

Timothy (DM):

I mean, I thought that Sarah would be breathing you on the masquerade that you're attending, but we'll be working there, um, we'll be able to help you out and point you in the right direction.

Dan (Wren):

Oh right, Cause a bunch of other parties like outside the city parties will be coming at a list of world players. Yeah, I guess. I guess my question is more focused on who in the city can we try and woo or align ourselves with in the meantime, if they think that's even worth it if we count up the out to the obscura and the ascension because we don't like them.

Russell (Upri):

I mean, if we have the people on our side, who else do we need? That's true.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, I think that. Um, there's no need to count out the obscura. I just wouldn't put your faith in them.

Chris (Salvador):

Hmm, you know they don't keep their promises, although they were talking about their very good promises they're.

Timothy (DM):

their objectives are not really good.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, yeah, they said they were going to siphon off resources from the the above place, but they're not like truly affect the above world.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, it just doesn't sit right.

Dan (Wren):

It doesn't right, it doesn't feel honest.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, I'm glad we had the same feeling about that.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, we overthrow government now.

Kai (Yonce):

You stop it.

Dan (Wren):

Do we just? Do we just kill both the obscura and the ascension leaders?

Kai (Yonce):

Honestly, it wouldn't be hard with some of these powers that we have, right, yeah?

Russell (Upri):

And at the same time make a name as the four Titan bears uh overthrew a city.

Chris (Salvador):

But then for the people then we have like we become villains.

Kai (Yonce):

I feel like we'll live if, like we become the heroes and then long enough will become the villains on story.

Chris (Salvador):

I feel like if we kill two of the leaders in town, it would not spell good things for us.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, that is kind of a Daenerys Turgirian. Yeah, we can't be like we killed your world leaders, but we're good, we come we liberated you from

Dan (Wren):

your friends Dracarys.

Russell (Upri):

And then we get killed by Demis Fervonija and we, then we fade to black Demis Fervonija, he's nowhere.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, anyways, I have no more questions. I have no more questions.

Kai (Yonce):

Same, I'm chewing on a falafel.

Timothy (DM):

You all have a wonderful fucking lunch. It's delicious. This is like we're doing shots. I mean, if they're going to make a portal anywhere, they're going to make it to one of the best restaurants in the world.

Dan (Wren):

Does the hookah? Is the hookah like just tobacco or is it more than just tobacco?

Timothy (DM):

It's just tobacco. Yeah, this is cultural hookah, okay.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, I just want to do it.

Kai (Yonce):

Wow, she has ruined you.

Dan (Wren):

What.

Russell (Upri):

Is this she Daphne, or Tim Daphne?

Russell (Upri):

Yes.

Dan (Wren):

Probably Daphne.

Russell (Upri):

I mean tomato, tomato.

Kai (Yonce):

Tomato obscura, all right. Okay, no, I'm not going to do that, so you have a wonderful lunch and they bid you farewell.

Timothy (DM):

You go off, they. You eventually make your way back through the portal into pennies. And is there anything else? You want to go into the city before having your session with Daphne.

Kai (Yonce):

Has there been any rude people towards us, disimpassing?

Timothy (DM):

Rude people in passing, not really.

Kai (Yonce):

Okay.

Timothy (DM):

Nothing like outwardly rude.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, then never mind All right, I might go get some like food and bring it to Cyril's place and hang out with the triplets, all right.

Timothy (DM):

So you hang out with them you have like a nice little chat.

Russell (Upri):

So, you drink it, yeah. So with that, okay, that's been done, I'm going to put us on a short little break. Thank you.

Timothy (DM):

And when we reconvene in about 10 minutes, we will be at Daphne's having our little therapy session. All right, see you all in just a moment.

Kai (Yonce):

Bye.

Dan (Wren):

I'll take some chocolate. Hi, all right, welcome back audience. It's a minty one.

Timothy (DM):

We are back from a break.

Russell (Upri):

Thank you for the gift and we're all putting chocolate in our mouths.

Timothy (DM):

This is going to be a great scene Lots of gorgeous conversation is about to happen.

Chris (Salvador):

It's the after-dinnerment that you get in the hookah bar.

Russell (Upri):

Oh, that was the last three, sorry, tim. Oh, you can have it if you like, that's fine, I don't want to eat chocolate and try to DM on a live stream.

Timothy (DM):

That sounds like a personal hell. There are certain foods that are nice and easy and quick to throw in your mouth and then be able to recover real quick and talk. Chocolate's. Not one of them, unfortunately, but I'm not going to belabor this therapy slash oracle session, because as you all drift off into Daphne's little dream world, you're met with a single jumble of sounds.

Dan (Wren):

Sounds great.

Timothy (DM):

It's time for some fun.

Russell (Upri):

Aus-amander, aus-amander, aus-amander, aus-amander. Sorry, aus-amander, aus-amander, aus-amander, aus-amander.

Timothy (DM):

Aus-Amander. Aus-amander oh is this retorical? It's part of the heart.

Russell (Upri):

Hello, hello, what's up?

Timothy (DM):

What's up?

Russell (Upri):

You're so cool. How's it going?

Dan (Wren):

Oh good, historical as part of the Hello Hello.

Timothy (DM):

Nice to meet you audience. The name is Ozamander. Oh, I have been your lovely host For the past three seasons and it is so Wonderful to finally get to meet you face to face are they breaking the fourth wall?

Kai (Yonce):

I think we are. I.

Timothy (DM):

Hope you enjoy the rest of this episode. Goodbye now, and as you, oh, the only thing you hear ringing through your head is his name Ozamander.

Russell (Upri):

I take another hit, but confirm to him.

Kai (Yonce):

Come back and tell us your pronouns.

Dan (Wren):

You said your name, not your pronouns. What is this? We'll use they until we know for sure. Daphne yes, who is that?

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, it was. Who's the audience?

Timothy (DM):

what season dressed as Prophex is, you are. That was quite strange. I mean, maybe he's like a director lackey and you see she's like sitting up in her chair and she begins to kind of sway and her eyes close and she holds out a hand Grasping for the edge of the chair. You see she misses and she collapses over whoo can I catch her? You catch her in your arms and you see, you feel her limp body. She is unconscious.

Dan (Wren):

Um. Can somebody get cereal spare?

Russell (Upri):

the ring cereal I.

Chris (Salvador):

Can't spare the dying and yeah, I'll run. I run to the hospital go get cereal.

Timothy (DM):

Spare the dying. Can you give me a Religion check?

Chris (Salvador):

Oh good, I am skilled in religion because I theoretically am a clerical.

Russell (Upri):

I can fly and go get cereal.

Dan (Wren):

That's a good point, um, and I would like to medicine her and.

Russell (Upri):

I've flown there before.

Dan (Wren):

You know which windows to break in the house 16 I 16.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, you cast for the dying and the spell, like, like doesn't fail, but it also doesn't have an effect like it doesn't seem like health was the issue she's not dying. She's just exhausted, she's just collapsed from exhaustion. But you run off and you grab Sarah. He is concerned, obviously, and will quickly follow. He was like in the middle of a class. He was like Do you fly in front of the?

Dan (Wren):

room. Scoop in, jump in 14 foot waistband.

Chris (Salvador):

You break another window.

Dan (Wren):

Yes, Both in and out different windows.

Russell (Upri):

Can I roll for how many?

Chris (Salvador):

windows are broke.

Dan (Wren):

I like to think that you don't have enough strength to make it through the first window, so you just go.

Chris (Salvador):

It's like a bird.

Russell (Upri):

It's just like classroom wall of windows.

Dan (Wren):

Just like 14 feet with a wing, is just slapped onto the side of a building and you could have honestly just used the door or flown to the balcony.

Chris (Salvador):

There was an open window, so sorry.

Dan (Wren):

Did. That image is really funny to me.

Russell (Upri):

And it feels very accurate.

Timothy (DM):

And he will follow you.

Russell (Upri):

Get carried.

Timothy (DM):

We set her up on the sofa, yeah, you set her up on the sofa and he's like Don't worry, this is all happened before. This is, unfortunately, one of the perils of Daphne's line of work. But give her a few days and she will recover. Please let her rest.

Kai (Yonce):

A lot just happened. There was a random person that said Osmander.

Chris (Salvador):

I thought it was.

Dan (Wren):

Ozempic. I'm just kidding.

Chris (Salvador):

I'm triggered.

Timothy (DM):

Unfortunately, that sounds like gibberish to me.

Kai (Yonce):

They mentioned that something about three seasons.

Dan (Wren):

An audience, an episode, something about the episode. It was really weird.

Chris (Salvador):

Upper is your Titan, a director of television shows. What's a television show? It's this thing they have in the cities where they live cast productions of plays or sporting events, if you have magic.

Dan (Wren):

By magic. Yeah, oh wow.

Chris (Salvador):

It's like an arcane eye that everybody can see.

Dan (Wren):

Oh, interesting.

Russell (Upri):

Not that I've ever seen before.

Dan (Wren):

Oh, we'll let her rest then.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, I mean, it seems like you've all had a very long day and a very I mean very long month Life.

Kai (Yonce):

Three seasons, we all get some rest.

Timothy (DM):

We can figure this out. Tomorrow, Actually, you're going to be participating in the arena qualifiers. You know that is perfect. We'll take your mind off of all of this. You all can get some mental rest as well, right?

Russell (Upri):

Okay.

Timothy (DM):

I will do some research. Do you know how it was spelled? By any chance?

Dan (Wren):

Well, it was only said, but my guess is OZAMANDR Osamander.

Chris (Salvador):

That's how I would dictate it, yeah.

Timothy (DM):

I will do my best to see what I can dig up in the libraries. You all take care of yourselves, please.

Chris (Salvador):

You got it, buddy.

Russell (Upri):

Everybody leaves.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, with that, Sarah also leaves.

Russell (Upri):

Off your drops dad.

Dan (Wren):

How are the triplets Daphne? Just kidding, just kidding, just kidding.

Chris (Salvador):

I don't have any. Daphne has been placed in her bed.

Timothy (DM):

She is breathing heavily, and then Sarah leaves. You're all off to do whatever you do before bed.

Russell (Upri):

Some solo fencing.

Dan (Wren):

Throughout the night. I'll just check on Daphne every now and then to make sure that she's stable and breathing, as the resident doctor.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, all right.

Dan (Wren):

Sometimes I forget that I'm a doctor.

Kai (Yonce):

We do too.

Timothy (DM):

And not just killing people. It's okay, I wrote it down.

Dan (Wren):

What that I'm a doctor.

Kai (Yonce):

Who are you?

Chris (Salvador):

OZAMANDR.

Timothy (DM):

And you all eventually go to bed and have another long rest. See, I gave you another long rest.

Russell (Upri):

Wow, two in one session.

Timothy (DM):

Oh, the next day you're not met with a smell of bacon, toast or butter. The house is quiet when you awake, Daphne is still asleep.

Dan (Wren):

I'll get up early and cook something.

Timothy (DM):

You're able to find most of the ingredients in the kitchen pretty easily. Daphne keeps a pretty good stock, knowing that you are all here, so she has all the things that she knows that you like.

Dan (Wren):

My hair is pulled back. I'm wearing one of her aprons, cooking up a storm.

Russell (Upri):

Did you make any?

Dan (Wren):

eggs yes, I made eggs, eggie. How's everyone doing this morning? Great?

Kai (Yonce):

Yeah, I guess good.

Chris (Salvador):

We have a lot of people that we now know in this town, and they all don't seem to like each other.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, but they like us.

Russell (Upri):

Well some of them tolerate us.

Dan (Wren):

I'll hand out bacon to everybody and eggs and whatnot.

Kai (Yonce):

This bacon's not candied.

Dan (Wren):

Sorry, I couldn't find the sugar.

Russell (Upri):

Here you go.

Kai (Yonce):

Sorry.

Dan (Wren):

Cook your own bacon next time, then.

Chris (Salvador):

I'm very curious. I don't know if we can solve this town instability problem.

Russell (Upri):

I thought it was solved.

Dan (Wren):

Have we had rumbling since our time at the.

Timothy (DM):

No.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, I mean.

Russell (Upri):

We accidentally solved it. I don't know where I've heard the same before, but I'm pretty sure, if you try to turn it off back on again, it solved 99% of the problem, gotcha.

Dan (Wren):

We just turned it off Fair. But now the society knows where to go. If it starts up again, they can just turn it off again if someone goes back and turns it on, yeah, someone. I did want to know what it did, though If the city wasn't at risk, I would have set it all to zero and seen what happened.

Chris (Salvador):

Maybe we can like put up a scaffold underneath the island or chain it to the walls or chain it from the ceiling. There's got to be another way to keep it from falling.

Kai (Yonce):

You want it to turn the city into one large sandalier. Essentially, yeah.

Dan (Wren):

I think we can swing from it. No, Sia doesn't exist in this world.

Chris (Salvador):

It's canon, the Phantom of the Opera, either no, are you ready for your big debut, yonsei?

Kai (Yonce):

Oh shit, that is me today.

Dan (Wren):

What is arena. Oh, did we fight other people?

Timothy (DM):

The stadium basis on Tuesday.

Chris (Salvador):

Which one is the combat and which one is the art. Arena is combat. Okay, so that's how we're doing today. So arena is a group activity.

Dan (Wren):

Oh, we can submit as a group.

Timothy (DM):

You can submit as a full party and you're like that's a weird thing, but okay.

Russell (Upri):

Can we invite each other?

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, can we just submit as duos, you and me, so as you got the sign up for the arena.

Timothy (DM):

It was like invitation of parties wanting to take on the arena. Champion.

Dan (Wren):

Oh right, Do you want to do that? Yeah?

Russell (Upri):

let's fuck some.

Kai (Yonce):

Yeah, let's do it Seems like last time.

Chris (Salvador):

We're pretty powerful.

Russell (Upri):

Is the champion also a team or a person?

Dan (Wren):

TBD.

Kai (Yonce):

Is he mean?

Timothy (DM):

There were no photos of the champion. Yes, probably.

Russell (Upri):

But it was singular the champion.

Timothy (DM):

The champion yes, it was.

Russell (Upri):

Interesting, interesting, let's do it.

Chris (Salvador):

I wonder if it's the mayor? Wouldn't that be wild?

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, sir, silver leaf.

Timothy (DM):

Lauren with star whisperer. That was close.

Kai (Yonce):

You had letters, correct. That's none of them.

Dan (Wren):

Watches a Tarrasque. It's just some big ass monster.

Russell (Upri):

I mean, that's like a child ring 35.

Chris (Salvador):

And they just casually can import it into the city.

Russell (Upri):

Nothing can insta eat people as an ability.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, let's go. We signed up, we're strong, we're strong, we could do it. Are there any safeguards to dying that they mentioned? Or like, if you die, you did?

Timothy (DM):

No, this is just a regular. This is not any special dramatic. God touched, like everything, suggests that this is just a fight. We could do it, it will be fine.

Chris (Salvador):

So it's not gladiatorial where you will die, or is it? You can.

Timothy (DM):

You can. What's the word?

Kai (Yonce):

Die.

Timothy (DM):

You can die, you can yield a loss. You overheard like people scoffing about it, like there's like a shame in you there's shame in yield, but like also not. This isn't like super gladiatorial, they are wizards after all oh yeah they're pretty weak.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, they should go down pretty quick.

Timothy (DM):

They're pretty like self preservationists.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, okay, yeah, let's go then.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, all right, I will narrate, narrate us in. So as you arrive near the arena, or as you're approaching the arena, there are crowds of people and you're like, wow, there are this many people in the city. Where have they been this entire fucking time? Because they are like crowds of people flocking to the arena. You can hear the swelling of noise and cheers as people are filling up the stadium seating and you're met with the smell of fried food, sugar, the sight of balloons, hockers selling wares on carts and a whole like ocean of tents surrounding the entrance of the arena. The excitement grows as you get closer and closer and you notice that there are some posters pointing direction for the participants, that once you enter underneath the Gringand Arch, before you go through the tunnel into the actual seating area, there is a sign that points you off to the left, to where your sign in would be. As you approach the front desk, you are met with Beatrice. She pretends not to know you, nice and you just hear her say are you, so I can sign you in?

Chris (Salvador):

Beatrice, I'm kidding, do we need a team name.

Dan (Wren):

Oh no, this is going to be the rest of the episode when the blue barracudas the blue barracudas.

Timothy (DM):

The blue barracudas. So Janse Salvador. That's us A pre-rem All for present Perfect. I have you checked in and you are currently fourth on the list.

Chris (Salvador):

All right, how many teams are you expecting there's?

Timothy (DM):

usually about 30 teams.

Chris (Salvador):

Okay, sounds like a tournament bracket.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, it's going to be a long day. No bracket, everybody just faces the single champion. No, no, no. One at a time, and then there's a party that's able to.

Russell (Upri):

So if we be hit and round forward, then the day is ruined.

Chris (Salvador):

They can probably resurrect them. No, no.

Timothy (DM):

Or it's illusion.

Russell (Upri):

Don't worry about it, or it's a column?

Timothy (DM):

That feels like a challenge. All right If you would like to do any practicing, any warm-up. There are chambers down the hallway that you can do any of that. If you would like to chat or hang out with the other competitors, they will be in the waiting room and when the team prior to you is about to go or fighting, we will ask that you report back here so we can escort you to the holding pen.

Kai (Yonce):

All right, so it's good.

Chris (Salvador):

Is the champion? A secret until we enter the ring. Oh, you'll see, that's okay.

Dan (Wren):

All right, I'm going to go stretch in those practices.

Kai (Yonce):

I'm going to do my theater warm-ups, I might have got a pitca-pitca-pitca May nay later. Ase Red leather. Red leather. Red leather. Yellow leather. Red leather. Yellow leather. Red leather yellow leather.

Russell (Upri):

Red baby buggy bumper. Red baby buggy bumper.

Kai (Yonce):

Sally, sally, she's with her, I'm ready.

Chris (Salvador):

You're ready.

Timothy (DM):

All right, so you spend some time doing that, whatever the fuck that was.

Dan (Wren):

It was warming up.

Timothy (DM):

In the practice rooms While you wait and you hear cheers followed by a bunch of oofs, followed by oh followed by more cheers. What Kind of sadistic sounding.

Kai (Yonce):

Like a C.

Timothy (DM):

And then, one by one, the teams are taken to the holding pen until it's your turn. You make your way down the hall to the check-in desk, where Beatrice escorts you to the holding pen, and you hear an announcer above calling your names, introducing yourselves as the blue barracudas, and then you feel a platform beneath you start to raise.

Dan (Wren):

Tina Balenciaga. Both of my animated things fly up around me Do an hour before we get in there.

Timothy (DM):

The ceiling above you opens up and the rays of light begin to pierce onto the platform as you are slowly ascended into the center of an arena. It is a large open space with several obstacles in rings, concentric rings, Nothing too large but enough to take cover, Something that would potentially prohibit environmental kills but allow you to navigate and work with cover around the arena.

Timothy (DM):

You are brought into one side of the arena and at the other end, salvador and Ren. You recognize them. Their tight bun on top of their head Is the triplets Moon-shaped glasses. A lace front wig neck, high neck, with a pendant. You can't see the details of the pendant from here, but you know what it looks like.

Dan (Wren):

You keep, you're whispering things.

Chris (Salvador):

It's the eye, the eye of.

Timothy (DM):

Who is it the eye? With three parallel lines.

Dan (Wren):

Who is it Gladys? No, I don't know. You see her hoopsker, the house extending out.

Timothy (DM):

No. And then you see her folded hands and smug grin as she stands across from you, 200 feet away. Oh boy On the other side of the arena.

Russell (Upri):

It's a good thing we weakened her by fucking up the city and making her use one for power.

Timothy (DM):

As the audience swells with cheering, the announcer cuts through the noise and next we have the blue biracutas attempting to fight the champion. Will we see a success today for the first time in 13 years? Will a day?

Dan (Wren):

of party fall. It's definitely gladys.

Timothy (DM):

The combat commence. Everyone's clapping and cheering. It's like the swell of noise and then it dies out into a silent anticipation, roll, initiative and mentally link us all, so we can talk to each other throughout 16.

Russell (Upri):

Nice Golden green Fuck me.

Dan (Wren):

You also get advantage on nice.

Russell (Upri):

It's a barb. It's a barb thing.

Timothy (DM):

All right. So what have we got? 16. Okay 21.

Chris (Salvador):

17.

Timothy (DM):

And what was that? 8. Gorgeous. Which she did not Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. All right, so first up will be Ren.

Dan (Wren):

Great, so she's 200 feet away.

Kai (Yonce):

And there are obstacles between us.

Timothy (DM):

There are obstacles that you can go and hide behind and get cover as you make your way towards her.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, I've got my shield and my thing up.

Russell (Upri):

There are trees in this arena.

Timothy (DM):

There are no trees in the arena. They are like the obstacles are just like stone mounds that are about twice the height of you, so they're about 14 feet tall and maybe five feet wide, so like plenty of space to hide behind, but not like massive. And then there's no trees, no water, no archways, nothing else like that. And these are all spaced maybe 20 feet, 20 to 30, depending a little bit variable around in three concentric circles around the arena.

Dan (Wren):

I will use my bonus action to dash. And so I can get 60 feet in. All right and I want to place myself where I can duck behind cover after and I will shoot her with my new fancy bow, which I tuned with last night, you ready?

Timothy (DM):

Yeah.

Dan (Wren):

Does a 23 hit?

Timothy (DM):

a 23 does hit excellent, excellent, excellent.

Dan (Wren):

So I have advantage, so I can do sneak attack damage on that. It is a long bow.

Timothy (DM):

However great as you see the arrow hit you, it stops and you see the arrow detract back into your bow Roll again.

Chris (Salvador):

Roll again.

Russell (Upri):

She controls the year.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, with a, with advantage still.

Russell (Upri):

Sorry.

Timothy (DM):

No, just a regular roll.

Russell (Upri):

Oh, fucking chronology majors.

Dan (Wren):

That is a 21.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, so you see this arrow, it shoots out through your bow, retracts back and then you're. You look down a little bit. You see it in your hand and you should again, and this time it shoots on Wacking her in the shoulder.

Dan (Wren):

Yes, um. Now question yes, sorry, um. Do I count my advantage from the first thing so that I can add my sneak attack damage or no? Because as a as an assassin, I get advantage if.

Kai (Yonce):

I go before them.

Dan (Wren):

Okay so it takes away my advantage, which is fucking rude.

Timothy (DM):

Yes, she does. She basically rewind, rewind time in order to force you to try again.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, well, I rolled. Okay, that is seven plus two, that's nine piercing damage and four psychic damage from my new pretty purple bow. All right, and I will duck behind some sort of obstacle so that she cannot see me.

Timothy (DM):

All right, salvador, you're up.

Chris (Salvador):

Oh, already Okay.

Timothy (DM):

How far?

Chris (Salvador):

away? Is she your second?

Timothy (DM):

I know 200 feet away.

Chris (Salvador):

Okay, I'm going to run around the perimeter, I'm going to use my action to dash and I'm going to go 60 feet and duck behind some pile of stones.

Timothy (DM):

All right, so you close 200 feet down to 140.

Dan (Wren):

I would like to mentally ping everybody. She's a wizard, so try not to clump up.

Chris (Salvador):

Trying to think of any bonus actions. No, I think that's it for me.

Timothy (DM):

All right, that brings us to Yanse.

Kai (Yonce):

I'm going to dash, not toward like, toward turbo, in a different like distance from Sal and Ren and then that's all legit I can do right now because she's still pretty far away.

Timothy (DM):

Any buffs that you would like to do. I don't know if you have any buffing abilities, buffing Anything that like armor class increases your AC, gives you advantage on things.

Dan (Wren):

Can you apply your hex from here, or is it too far?

Kai (Yonce):

It's too far.

Dan (Wren):

I'm also in that same boat.

Kai (Yonce):

You said 200 and that was too far, so take away, I just got to get some. She should get closer to us.

Dan (Wren):

She won't, but she should, we'll get help.

Timothy (DM):

So I'm done. All right, she is going to stay put. You see she continues to clasp her hands and just waits. Uprie, what are you doing?

Russell (Upri):

No, I run in a straight line and dash 80 feet 80 feet.

Timothy (DM):

You close the gap down to 120.

Russell (Upri):

And then I'm going to rage. That's a seven. My rage is somewhere in this very busy now. Character sheet Tritlequism that's no it. Wild surge Boop up Within 15 feet of me is now considered difficult train as I and screw and die behind me as I am in the arena.

Timothy (DM):

Within 50 feet 15. 15.

Kai (Yonce):

Can I quickly add something that I forgot to say? So the gift that the secret society of secretaries gave me was boots of levitation, so I have those on some levitating.

Timothy (DM):

All right.

Kai (Yonce):

Cool, you're not touching the ground. I'm not touching the ground. I can, if I want to, at will, I'm not right now, but I could at will.

Russell (Upri):

There were like we all fly now I can fly. Oh, right, that sorcerer is fine Me no. Oh, because it's just a sibling thing. Yeah, sorry.

Dan (Wren):

It's okay, I don't get really magic, not yet. I want wings that with some point.

Russell (Upri):

Pretty fun. Oh, that's my turn, okay.

Dan (Wren):

So, ren, what are you doing? Oh, it's my turn again. Yeah, I will do the same thing I did last time. I will dash to towards her, but stay, make sure I can stay behind cover, which puts me at 80 feet, and I will fire again at her.

Timothy (DM):

All right, you do not have advantage.

Dan (Wren):

Yes, I rolled a two, so that's like.

Timothy (DM):

Would you normally have had advantage? No, okay, you've disadvantage.

Dan (Wren):

I rolled a two. Yeah, I rolled a set of nine.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, Again you see your arrow shoot twice, One time out, reverting backwards, and again both of them going wide.

Dan (Wren):

That is a rough, rough ability.

Timothy (DM):

All right, that brings us to Salvador, oh already.

Chris (Salvador):

I'm going to run up 20 feet. I'm going to cast call lightning on her.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, so I think she has to do a dexterity saving throw. A dexterity save.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah, rewind this bitch.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, can't control the weather, although she might be able to do it.

Timothy (DM):

She probably can, so her deck save is a 17.

Chris (Salvador):

My spell DC? What is my spell DC? So that meets its, but I think she takes half on a hit, yeah.

Timothy (DM):

She takes half as much on a hit.

Chris (Salvador):

All right, do you call lightning? I do, indeed, and I pale down a flurry of electricity right into her cranium. So that's a total she takes. Oh, it's a lot of 1212 lightning you rolled that's already have.

Timothy (DM):

No, that's already have. Yeah, okay.

Chris (Salvador):

All right and I duck behind.

Dan (Wren):

Does she look annoyed?

Timothy (DM):

Slightly.

Russell (Upri):

Okay.

Timothy (DM):

She looks slightly like oh okay, so I'm going to have they're. They're a little bit more powerful than expected, did it?

Russell (Upri):

frizz up her hair, ruin her fucking hair, sorry.

Chris (Salvador):

Her hoop skirt like inverted, like an umbrella.

Russell (Upri):

I feel very competitive.

Timothy (DM):

Yonsei.

Kai (Yonce):

I'm going to levitate, I'm going to get, I'm going to do my normal speed of 30 feet. So now I'm at so 60. So that's 90. So that's 110. And I'm going to fire three Elders glass at her.

Russell (Upri):

Oh yeah.

Dan (Wren):

In range.

Kai (Yonce):

All right One was a nap 20.

Timothy (DM):

So that's a 288.

Kai (Yonce):

One was a 19. So that was 20. So 28, 27 and 11.

Timothy (DM):

All right, the one crits, the other hits, regular. She doesn't rewind it, no.

Kai (Yonce):

So it crits two real strong.

Dan (Wren):

It's a reaction, isn't?

Russell (Upri):

it. Yes, and you're first, so you're darn it.

Dan (Wren):

I should have like hold my action actually, that would actually make sense I held my action.

Russell (Upri):

Dammit, that's not fair. That's like an eight, so do I. Okay, so that's 10, 12.

Kai (Yonce):

That's 16 for the first one, and I'm going to add my Maddening hex, so 16 plus four, yeah 10 is. I roll with crit, don't you roll two.

Timothy (DM):

Oh my gosh. Yes, crit the crit, so Okay.

Kai (Yonce):

So it's 20. It's 12 plus four is 16 plus four is 20. For the first one, okay, and then the second one is 14. I don't think I can do Maddening hex on both of them.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, all right.

Kai (Yonce):

So 34 damage.

Timothy (DM):

Cool. Now she looks a little upset. You whack her three times or two times with a really well placed Eldritch blast and her stance is slightly broken. You see that she takes a step back before she begins to sprint towards you Towards who? The center of the room.

Chris (Salvador):

Her hoop skirt.

Timothy (DM):

So like you're all, you're on like two opposite sides and I believe where is? Where did Upriland?

Russell (Upri):

I was just in the middle, the middle.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, you just dash him straight through Straight yeah.

Timothy (DM):

No cover so up, raise in the center, so she's gonna sprint towards you. And then Did you go right or left, yonsei? Let's say left left Ren would be then by default on the right. Salvador, where were you, I?

Dan (Wren):

off to.

Chris (Salvador):

I.

Dan (Wren):

I was.

Chris (Salvador):

you skirt the outside, yeah, I went around the parameter on the outside, left or right left.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, so you are on the same side as yonsei.

Chris (Salvador):

Oh, I will have gone. I think yonsei said they want the opposite side me, so I'd be on the right.

Timothy (DM):

They went the opposite side of one of you. It was not specified.

Chris (Salvador):

Okay, what up Well?

Timothy (DM):

yeah, that's whatever, so I'll let you decide which. I'll be on the left to go. So two of you are on one side, one of you are on the other, yeah, and.

Russell (Upri):

I'm in the middle.

Dan (Wren):

I'm also kind of in the middle because I'm I went towards her.

Timothy (DM):

Okay yeah cool.

Russell (Upri):

So how far does she move?

Timothy (DM):

So she is going to sprint. She's 25 movement speed. What does that close?

Russell (Upri):

So 50.

Timothy (DM):

She's 50 from you. No, no, does she dash? No, she's not dashing.

Russell (Upri):

Oh, 25. Okay, she's 95 feet for me 95 feet yeah gorgeous Um alright, I for me.

Timothy (DM):

So, oh you feel the air around you begin to compress, you feel off kilter. You look at your hand and see that it's blurring, and you feel simultaneously as if you're speeding up and slowing down as your body begins to be stretched in time. I'm going to make a spell attack on you. Oh.

Chris (Salvador):

Okay, I still don't forget that I have all attacks on me of disadvantage.

Timothy (DM):

Okay, because my coca displacement. Oh oh, this is on upry, though, because it's the only one that is currently Fully visible.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, we're all right.

Timothy (DM):

The rest of us are like does a 22 hit you? Right, it's a spell attack. It's a spell attack. You are gonna take 20 points of psychic damage.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, so 20 points of psychic damage.

Timothy (DM):

Are you Um? She also has four more attacks this round, christ.

Russell (Upri):

Well, I'm gonna use my reaction to unstable backlash because I took damage, so I'm gonna reroll my wild magic effect. All right, and I got a four, and in that that oh that infuses my great sword with magic property, so it does magic damage and it now gains the throne property and then comes back to me.

Russell (Upri):

Hell, someone's gonna get a great sword at them.

Timothy (DM):

Gorgeous. Um, I am also going to have you make a constitution saving throw.

Russell (Upri):

That's nine. That's a tan, oh no right.

Timothy (DM):

So as you fail your constitution saving throw, you feel your bones begin to ache and as you look at the blurry hands that are like moving and you're like pulling out this great sword, you notice that the backs of your hands begin to wrinkle. You're gonna take 2d done, necrotic damage.

Dan (Wren):

Good thing you have like a hundred and fifty hell.

Russell (Upri):

I ran in the open. You are gonna take seven.

Dan (Wren):

That's two attacks yeah all right.

Russell (Upri):

Is that normal necrotic damage or is that the kind that prevents healing?

Timothy (DM):

That's the kind that prevents healing All right, so I'll try to do heal that necrotic damage negative temp.

Russell (Upri):

Oh yeah, yeah.

Timothy (DM):

I'll try down I don't know how it works Mechanically on D&D beyond. And then they are also gonna make a ranged spell. Attack on you does a 15 hit. No, no, it does not dodged.

Dan (Wren):

She already used her reaction, unless she has like 16 of them, which you like, my back gives out and I just like keel over. You matrix it not on purpose.

Russell (Upri):

Some old, I'm just my hands like I washed a bunch of dishes. You know, whatever she's doing next I'm gonna use, but no, already use my reaction, damn it.

Timothy (DM):

A 16 does not hit. Correct, not anymore.

Russell (Upri):

Thanks man, thanks bracer.

Timothy (DM):

I have one more attack. Geez Does a 18. Yes, okay. So then you are going to be hit with a bolt of energy that shoots out from her poem. So you saw one, two bolts miss you. They slam into the ground around this like warbling, like microcosm of Time dilation. But then the third one is going to hit you for 2d12, nine points of. It's weird, it doesn't have a damage type is it physical? No, emotional so double bonus round next round bonus round.

Russell (Upri):

Oh, my bonus action.

Timothy (DM):

So you feel this like the. You're like being torn between speeding up and slowing down, and then you feel this bolt hit your chest and it just like pulls you down. This like Wormhole. You Stumble out into the next round. So, from your perspective, like you stumble out into the next round like Completely disoriented- oh, so I lose my whole turn. No, you'll just lose the bonus action amount.

Russell (Upri):

Okay.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, so mechanically you just lose your bonus action, but you are flung forward in time.

Russell (Upri):

Okay, which is Oriental?

Timothy (DM):

so you can't have a bonus action. Yeah, this is tiny one bullshit. You're fighting a time which All right. That is her turn, which brings us to a parade.

Russell (Upri):

You don't have a bonus action and an action I'm gonna run 40 feet to be within 55 feet of her, which means I can throw my great sword with disadvantage and I'm just gonna like spin like shop put, like Try to build up momentum as I'm running towards her. Okay, all right, I have actions I'm throwing. It was disadvantage. It's a plus 13, because that's insane, 23 to hit.

Timothy (DM):

This is a physical attack.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, it's does magic damage because it's imbued with magic, but I it's a throne. Yeah, it's a throne weapon.

Timothy (DM):

It's a magic roll with disadvantage.

Russell (Upri):

I'm already rolling with disadvantage because I'm oh Okay, then you're fine beyond the normal.

Timothy (DM):

So 22 does it.

Russell (Upri):

Yes, I rolled a 10 and 11. That's when it was a 23. Nice with disadvantage, that is gonna be seven plus nine, which is 16, plus the rage bonus, which is 18. Magic slashing damage as it slams into her.

Timothy (DM):

All right, what you see Happen as the slams into her is, you see she is thrown into the air by the impact and she skids across the ground. But as her body hits and makes impact, you see time over and she rewinds. Your, your thing, your thing has like a return property right.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, at the end of my turn it Rewinds, returns to your hand and she now stands in front of you as if it's the beginning of combat. She has her hands clasped, a smirk across her face, and she is now back at the other end of the arena.

Russell (Upri):

Okay, so she's plus 25 feet away.

Dan (Wren):

Perfect for me plus 25, she's 80 feet away again.

Timothy (DM):

Oh, we're at the same spot then yeah, and then she has a legendary action of course she does.

Dan (Wren):

I.

Timothy (DM):

Would like Salvador mm-hmm to make a constitution, saving through okay, you've got it.

Chris (Salvador):

In terms of constitution, savings rose. It's actually my second best one, that's a 21, baby yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, okay, you lose a reaction this round. I Don't know that could do something yeah, I could.

Dan (Wren):

You can't hellish a bucker now I can't you know?

Chris (Salvador):

but I think that had to be a melee attack, right, All right.

Timothy (DM):

So that's legendary action and Gorgeous. That brings us to Ren.

Dan (Wren):

Yay, I'm going to bonus action. Dash, all right, which puts me within 20 feet of her. Pray for me. I'm gonna get behind a 120, just 20. I'm gonna get behind a. I'm gonna crouch behind a thingy again, some sort of palisade or such, and then I would like to embody the form of forest daddy, so my skin gets a little barky and I maybe I grow like a leaf or two. Allah you know uppery.

Dan (Wren):

But I also grow a vine out of my chest which or a root out of my chest, which then plunges into the ground and Pushing its way towards her and tries to swipe at her.

Timothy (DM):

All right yeah. Make an attack with disadvantage.

Dan (Wren):

So, even if it's melee, cuz technically melee, yep. Okay, that is a 14 to hit.

Timothy (DM):

I rolled another two. 14 does not hit. You see, the movements are doubled, but the one One flits away as it misses its second attempt.

Dan (Wren):

Well, that's my turn.

Timothy (DM):

Salvador.

Chris (Salvador):

I'm gonna move up 30 feet around the perimeter away from Beyonce and she's gonna have to do another dexterity signature cuz she's still in the realm of that. Call lightning class. Yeah, she won't. She went back to it. Yeah Well, she never left, cuz she only ever moved 25 feet up.

Dan (Wren):

Oh, that's fair. Yeah, that's right, that's right.

Timothy (DM):

She's gonna legendary resistance save okay she's still gonna take half.

Chris (Salvador):

I'm gonna use one of my channel divinity is the roll max damage, so she takes 15 points of lightning damage, hell yeah 15. All right, that's. I can't do anything else, so I am done.

Russell (Upri):

Mm-hmm.

Kai (Yonce):

Beyonce, I'm gonna move up 30 feet, so that puts me with an 80 feet of her, and If it ain't broke, don't fix it. So I'm just gonna roll three elders blast the Gatling gun Of glasses. One is a two. Only one's gonna hit. One is a 24. Actually, no to oh. One is a 22 and then the other is a 11.

Timothy (DM):

The first to hit.

Kai (Yonce):

So that's 8 plus 4, is 12 plus 4. For my maddening hex it's going to be I forgot the math 16, 16 damage all right, and that's it, slap it her from afar. I love it exactly, she can't get me actually, I'm just kidding, she can.

Timothy (DM):

All right, so what she's gonna do is Is disappear, as I'm gonna need Ren. No one constitution saving my behind cover. She can't see me.

Dan (Wren):

Okay, great, excellent. That's 26. I rolled an at 20. All right, no reaction this time.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah, what oh oh yeah, if you fail, it's the bonus action reaction is the good one, yeah, yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah peanut butter Boston. So she's disappeared, uprey, what do you do?

Russell (Upri):

Were there any signs of where she ran when she?

Timothy (DM):

disappeared. You can give me an Investigation and or in sight so first things first.

Russell (Upri):

I'm gonna move 40 feet closer, so I'm now 40 feet from where she disappeared. And then you said investigation, not perception.

Timothy (DM):

Investigation and or insight insight mm-hmm. Look for footprints no it's in and or situation 13 insight all right, something's off. It doesn't feel like she cast invisibility.

Russell (Upri):

Okay, I'm right Okay.

Dan (Wren):

Right contrast or a butterfly. Do it again.

Russell (Upri):

I ready a spell. You can ready a spell, yeah all right, I'm gonna use my bonus action to drop my rage, can it won't help me against magic peeps anyway. And then I'm going to ready Wall of thorns for soon as she reappears. I want to encapsulate her in a sphere of thorns because I can do like a circle mm-hmm.

Timothy (DM):

All right.

Russell (Upri):

Ren excellent.

Dan (Wren):

Can I also do an investigation do?

Timothy (DM):

investigation.

Dan (Wren):

That is a 30, a dirty 30 a dirty 30.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, oh my god no you see no sign of where she's gone. There's no footprints, there's nothing.

Russell (Upri):

Wow, this woman is an enigma truly, then I would like to.

Dan (Wren):

I'll also hold my action To. I can't hold a bonus action, right? That's not a thing.

Timothy (DM):

If there's something that's a bonus action, you can cast it on an action.

Dan (Wren):

But I can't like hold both and do both no, okay then. I will just hold my action until I can see her All right, best I can do.

Timothy (DM):

No, no Salvador.

Chris (Salvador):

I'm debating on whether or not I should cast another concentration spell. I'm well, this isn't concentration, I'm gonna cast ice storm.

Timothy (DM):

Where would you like to cast, oh?

Chris (Salvador):

are you in the where she was?

Dan (Wren):

I am 20 feet away.

Chris (Salvador):

Okay, this is a 20 foot radius thing, so I'm gonna cast it at the edge of wherever Ren is standing. So I'm gonna cast ice storm. If the creature happens to be inside of that 20 foot radius cylinder, they have to do a dexterity saving throw and I'm just gonna roll the damage and Let you just.

Timothy (DM):

I'm not holding any dice. I know I'm gonna roll the damage, so you roll the damage and Well, theoretically, since this is pummeling ice on the ground, she reappears, she could slip.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah well, not only that, but like you would see, like if she were invisible There'd be like bits of ice or something whole of Like it's like, it's like on her yeah but I rolled the dice, assuming, based off the Tim's reaction, there is no damage. But I just I want to do it. Do it anyways.

Russell (Upri):

That's 2d8 she left the timeline.

Chris (Salvador):

Yeah, she's. She's actually back in Valeria she's reset Valeria. Okay.

Russell (Upri):

That's like 21 damage gorgeous Janse.

Kai (Yonce):

I'm just gonna summon, summon, summon aberration, just to be prepared.

Timothy (DM):

All right, so you summon an aberration. Yes, gorgeous.

Dan (Wren):

What is it this time? I?

Kai (Yonce):

don't know let's do. I like slide because it can regenerate regain hit points. Nice start of its turn.

Timothy (DM):

All right. So it drags its claws along the ground as it pulls itself from the Rift in which it comes, from Dragging itself into this world. It's hulking, looming body standing beside you.

Kai (Yonce):

It will usually go after me, but I'm gonna hold its action as well.

Timothy (DM):

All right, I Make a constitution saving throw at yonze.

Kai (Yonce):

Constitution saving, sir.

Timothy (DM):

Yes, I Got a five right, you're gonna lose your action, that's okay, I have this.

Kai (Yonce):

That's what subring aberration works. Yeah, cuz I also have an action, just can't use mine.

Timothy (DM):

All right, upry, what are you doing?

Russell (Upri):

She's still invisible.

Timothy (DM):

She still work, nowhere to be seen.

Russell (Upri):

Thanks, I'll just buy.

Timothy (DM):

Hold an action.

Russell (Upri):

Yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Ren.

Dan (Wren):

Observen, doesn't like help me in any way in this right like no to find her. I Mean, I guess I'll keep trying to spot her. There's nothing else I can do, yeah.

Timothy (DM):

Salvador yonze. What are you both doing?

Chris (Salvador):

I'm gonna blow my horn of Valhalla and. I summon 3d4 plus 3 berserkers.

Russell (Upri):

Oh my god.

Chris (Salvador):

So I'm gonna roll it.

Timothy (DM):

Yonze, what are you doing?

Kai (Yonce):

I love an action.

Timothy (DM):

You still have a bonus action if you'd like. Like you felt yourself ripped. All that's in. Time and again you stumble on your little disoriented she's still missing.

Kai (Yonce):

I mean, I guess I can use hex, I can use that as a bonus action you can't hack something you can't see, then I can't do anything or doesn't exist.

Timothy (DM):

So Nothing I can do up.

Kai (Yonce):

Ray, what are you doing At this point? They?

Russell (Upri):

pull a little joint from zero light up. Okay, everybody, what are you doing? As you just your. You've summoned a bunch of things.

Timothy (DM):

You're looking for her you find no sign Like? Are you investigating? Are you doing any more buffing? This might have been an unintended Ability or thing that I have.

Dan (Wren):

I'd like to ping her Nothing. So there's nobody else in the arena except for her. I'm gonna go with the. Nothing so there's nobody else in the arena except for the four of us and all the weird things that were. There's the audience members. I want to stick inside the arena like the arena.

Timothy (DM):

No one's in the arena.

Russell (Upri):

So she doesn't forfeit by leaving.

Dan (Wren):

She's not here. Yeah, she's not here.

Timothy (DM):

Salvatore.

Dan (Wren):

I tell everybody.

Timothy (DM):

She's not here.

Chris (Salvador):

I instruct my ten berserkers to fan out and I say, look for a woman. She looks really out of place. She's wearing this really antiquated hoop skirt. And I tell them to fan out around the perimeter and I'm gonna go Further, left away from you on say, and I'm gonna look for any sign of her on the ground. All right, well, she's in the air.

Kai (Yonce):

I mean I can do my Eldrace blast, but I'm assuming I'll be at disadvantage.

Russell (Upri):

There's nothing to hit, yeah she's not even in the arena.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, she's just not here. Seems like a trick. I yell out so do we win.

Russell (Upri):

Are we in the arena?

Dan (Wren):

She left.

Chris (Salvador):

Is anybody else moving in the arena like the audience the audience is a Little confused, okay so there's, we're still in a timeline.

Dan (Wren):

She's not, but yeah, I yell, so do we win. She's gone she fled.

Timothy (DM):

Yeah, she, she ran, little bitch and as you're all like fanning out trying to search for her calling out to the audience, you're all very confused. You hear a little chuckle a top one of the pillars. They're 15 feet tall and as you turn around you see her just sitting Hands clasped in her lap, looking down upon you all. And that is when we're going to end this session as I cast wall of thorns at 20 feet high.

Dan (Wren):

Yeah, I feel like there are like 16 things coming at her. Once we can see her.

Timothy (DM):

Nope all our held action because she can change what placement in initiative order she is at. Oh.

Dan (Wren):

Oh, so she's first. All right, dear intrepid listeners.

Timothy (DM):
