Recreational Canal Safety Plan: What you Need to Know
In a city known for its canal, there’s a new plan in place to maximize the safety of residents and visitors using Welland’s waterways. The Recreational Canal Safety Plan was developed to provide crucial information on water safety and drowning prevention. This operational plan is designed to encourage public use of our waterways while supporting awareness of safety measures.
Rob Axiak, director of Community Services, lets us know how this plan will engage and educate the community and make the recreational canal safer year-round.
