I am often joined by my good friend and cinephile Bernard Harris and in our movie reviews we ask one important question of these films and that is "How white is this movie?"

Gladiator is peak dad cinema, no one is aruging that, but it's also an audacious film. Who gets to tell what stories in history? We look at the classic film's depiction of race and ethnicity. We talk about America's self-proclaimed right to tell any history it wants to and what that's about.
Side note, Bernard is a Roman History major so he had a lot to say about the movie and that period time!
