S3E10: I Just Have A Lot Of Feelings (feat. Marcha Kia)

On this episode of the Just the Tip podcast, Jesse and Sara are joined by their friend and former classmate Marcha Kia for a podcast episode that is closer to a therapy session. They begin by introducing Marcha, and she shares her experience with finding a job, house, and car in LA within 10 days, and talks about her current long distance relationship. They then discuss how Jesse and Sara spent their holiday breaks on the east coast, what happened when Jesse went on a first date to the movie Cats, and their New Years resolutions. They then have a discussion about something they all deal with - feeling like you need to hide or tone down parts of your personality to find someone who will love you. Marcha and Jesse share how therapy has helped them with this and with other aspects of their life, including helping Marcha learn to validate her boyfriend's emotions. (TW: Sexual Assault) Jesse then shares information about the sexual assault reporting process, and the girls discuss using dating apps vs. having a rom com style "meet cute." Finally they answer listener questions, including exit strategies for leaving a bad date, and play a game of "he's perfect, but..." including a guy who has clammy hands and one who is way too obsessed with plants.
