S3E13: Going the Distance (feat. Lukas Koeck)

On this episode of the Just the Tip podcast, Jesse and Sara are joined by their friend Lukas to discuss how he and his girlfriend successfully manage a long-term, long-distance (LA to Japan) open relationship. They first discuss Sara's recent dates and how Jesse used her CIA skills to figure out if one of them had blocked Sara's number, as well as the end of Jesse's recent situationship. They then ask Lukas everything under the sun about his 1.5 year open relationship, including: how it started, the rules they've laid out and how they were determined, if they're on dating apps, if they've ever struggled with the relationship or considered ending it, whether they would ever go back to a closed relationship, how often they communicate and if they have phone sex, what their friends think of their arrangement, how they bring it up to potential partners, the biggest benefits and downsides to being in an open relationship, and what happens when someone you sleep with catches feelings for you. Lukas also discusses how he works on his mental health to stay happy and focused in his relationship, work, and life in general. They then answer a listener question from a man whose girlfriend wants him to start cumming in a cup so she can drink it later. They discuss poll questions about whether jealousy stems from insecurity, if you would be happier if you had more sex, missionary position, if it's ok to have a crush when you're in a relationship, and celebrities who are on your "laminated list." Finally, Lukas shares a story of when he had to Houdini his way out of sex restraints.
