Hey, it's another Writing Wednesday, and I have been told that when I get stuck to get up, move away from the computer, and go for a walk. But I love to know why things help, and so I wanted to share with you the four reasons I've learned that walking really does help. It's a mind reset. First, it's a stress hormone reducer.

It breaks down the cortisol that's built up in our brains when we get stuck and frustrated. Um, it's also a neurotransmitter boost. It releases serotonin and dopamine, which stabilizes our mood. Uh, it's attention restoration. I love the term soft fascination. So when we're walking, we can look around. It resets our brain.

It helps us relax. And it also improves blood circulation. Yeah, we're moving our bodies, but when we have improved blood circulation, that helps us enhance our cognitive function. All saying, when you get stuck, get up and go for a walk. See you next Wednesday.
