God's Attributes: How Do God's Emotions Work? (Doctrinal Series) - Session 1
Mar 14, 2022 Season 1 Episode 30
Glenn and Steve

What do we do with passages that describe God as increasing in knowledge, or becoming more angry or more empathetic? What happens if God does not change? Is God cold and distant or does He care about us? Would it be good or bad that God’s love and anger did not change? In this session we discuss the doctrines that deal with omniscience, immutability, self-sufficiency, and impassibility and how all these doctrines are interrelated. We discuss the consequences of Open Theism vs Classical Theism.

  • Does God have human emotions?
  • Can humans change God’s emotions?
  • Can God change His mind?
  • Was Christian theology built upon Greek philosophy?
