Boss Lady Social
Running an online business isn’t all rainbows, dollar bills, and viral Reels.
It’s strategy.
It’s focus.
And sometimes it’s realizing the problem isn’t your effort… it’s your business model.
Welcome to Boss Lady Social, hosted by entrepreneur and marketing strategist Courtney Sjoberg Davini.
This podcast is for ambitious women, especially moms, who already have a business but feel like they’re working way too hard for the money they’re making.
Maybe you’re posting constantly but not seeing real revenue.
Maybe you have offers but they aren’t selling consistently.
Maybe you’re stuck in a time-for-money model and can’t seem to scale.
If that sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.
Each week Courtney shares honest conversations and practical strategies about:
• fixing businesses that aren’t scaling
• turning expertise into scalable income
• monetizing small audiences
• building marketing systems that actually work
• email marketing and offer strategy
• simplifying your business so it can grow
• escaping the time-for-money trap
• building a business that supports your life, not consumes it
Courtney built a million-dollar online business (selling a low ticket offer) and now shares the real behind-the-scenes lessons, mistakes, and strategies that actually grow a business.
Because the truth is…
You probably don’t need a new idea, a new offer, or another course.
You need a real strategy for the business you already have.
Expect raw, honest episodes that feel like business strategy, real talk, and the occasional tough-love pep talk from someone who has been exactly where you are.
If you’re ready to stop spinning your wheels and finally build a business that scales, this podcast will show you how.
Because you don’t have to choose between motherhood, money, and freedom.
You can build a business that actually works.

04. You Don’t Need to Post More, You Need a Marketing System
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
If you feel like you’re posting constantly but still not making real money in your business… this episode is for you.
Because here’s the truth:
👉 You don’t need to post more
👉 You need a marketing system
In this episode, I’m breaking down what actually turns content into sales, and why so many entrepreneurs are stuck in “posting mode” instead of building something that converts.
We’re talking about:
- why posting alone doesn’t make you money
- the difference between content and strategy
- what a simple marketing system actually looks like
- how to start turning attention into leads and sales
If you’ve been showing up, doing everything “right,” and still not seeing results… you’re not crazy. You’re just missing the system behind it.
And once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

If this episode hit for you, come hang out with me on Instagram where I share more strategy, real talk, and behind-the-scenes of building a profitable online business:
Hello, hello, hello, and welcome back to Boss Lady Social. I’m your host, Courtney Davini, and today is going to be a spicy one.
If you can’t already tell by the name of this episode, Why Your Online Business Isn’t Making Money, then I don’t know what to tell you, because we are getting down to the nitty-gritty of what’s actually going on.
So first, I want you to sit with me for a minute.
I know you’re doing everything, or at least it feels like it. You’re posting, you’re creating, you’re trying… but you’re still not getting sales.
And before I get spicy, I want you to know this:
You’re not lazy.
You’re actually working a lot, probably way more than you should for the amount of money you’re making.
That’s the funny thing about entrepreneurship, right? We get into business for ourselves so we can make $2 an hour instead of $40 or $50 sometimes. It’s just the reality. The freedom is worth it, but still.
So no, you’re not lazy.
But you are probably doing three to five things wrong, and we’re going to talk about that today, and how you can actually start making more money while working less.
Because you’re really tuned in, tapped in, turned on, as Abraham Hicks would say, to what your ideal client actually wants.
The first thing you’re probably doing is creating way too many offers.
You’re literally switching things up like you switch underwear.
I want you to imagine this, because I know you’ve experienced it.
You’re laying in bed, it’s late at night, everyone’s asleep, the lights are off, and the only thing lighting up your face is your phone.
You should be sleeping, but you’re scrolling. Because you’re a mom, you’re human, you like the peace and quiet, and honestly… we’re all a little addicted to our phones.
And as you’re scrolling, you see some woman talking about how she’s making a million dollars a month from low-ticket offers.
She’s either in your niche or niche-adjacent, so of course you click.
You go through her reels, her stories, her offers.
You put in your email… maybe your fake email… because you don’t want people to know you’re creeping on competitors.
You download the freebie, not because you care about it, but because you want to see how she’s selling it.
You read her emails. You save them. Maybe you never open them again.
Or maybe you copy and paste them into ChatGPT or Claude or whatever AI tool you’re using, and you ask it to rewrite them in your voice… even though they’re not your ideas.
And then suddenly you realize your offer is $199 and hers is $49, and you start spiraling.
“What am I doing wrong?”
“Is it my price?”
“Should I change everything?”
Pause.
Do you see the black hole we just went down?
I can explain it so clearly because I’ve been there. We all have.
But the truth is:
You’re not making money because you keep switching up the plan instead of committing to the long term.
So the first thing I need you to do is unfollow every single person who makes you do that.
Following them is hurting you, not helping you.
Stop downloading freebies.
Stop studying everyone else’s funnels.
Stop creating new offers.
I want you to take a real pause.
Two to four weeks.
No creating anything new. No learning new strategies. No consuming business content.
The only thing you’re allowed to do is market what you’ve already created.
Because right now, you’re expending the little energy you have on unnecessary bullshit.
That’s what it is.
You’re telling yourself you’re being productive, but really, you’re avoiding the things that actually make money.
After that pause, I want you to look at your offers.
And I want you to choose two, maybe three max, that you’re going to commit to for the next 12 months.
Yes, 12 months.
I know that sounds like a lot, but it’s not.
I made one million dollars selling essentially one core thing for four years.
One freebie. One main offer.
Did I sell other things occasionally? Yes.
Would I recommend doing it exactly that way for four years straight? Probably not.
But right now, you’re not even giving something a week.
You’re changing things every other day.
“This is the thing that’s going to make me money.”
“This is the offer.”
“This is it.”
And instead of staying in your lane and refining what already exists, you’re all over the place, and it’s affecting your bottom line.
So pick two to three offers.
Commit to them.
And instead of pivoting the offer entirely, pivot within the offer.
Refine it.
In marketing, we talk about variables.
Let’s say you have an opt-in page for your freebie.
It’s a great freebie. When people download it, they buy the next thing.
But getting people to opt in is hard.
What you don’t do is scrap the entire page and start over.
What you do is change one variable at a time.
Change the headline.
Watch what happens.
Does conversion go up? Great, that worked.
Does it stay the same? Then that wasn’t the problem.
Does it go down? Then your old version was better.
One change at a time.
Stop scrapping everything and starting over.
Think about your business like planting a seed.
You dig a hole, you put the seed in, you water it, you give it sunlight.
And then you wait.
Weeks. Months. Sometimes years.
A lemon tree doesn’t even produce lemons for years.
Do you throw it away after a week because you don’t see results?
No.
But that’s what you’re doing in your business.
You’re not giving anything time to grow.
A lot is happening under the surface that you can’t see yet.
People are watching. They’re warming up. They’re getting ready to buy.
But you keep restarting the process.
Now let’s talk about your content.
I get it.
Trends, B-roll, trying to stay relevant.
But we are no longer in a “just post more” era.
We are in a trust economy.
You need long-form, trust-building content.
You cannot sell a $1,000 offer, or even a $50 offer in this economy, from a 30-second trending video.
That’s not enough.
That’s why I started this podcast again.
Because it’s more valuable for me to sit here and talk to you for 15–30 minutes, so you can actually get to know me, trust me, and understand how I think.
That’s what leads to sales.
If podcasting isn’t your thing, maybe it’s blogging.
But you need depth.
People are tired of surface-level content.
They want connection.
And finally, we have to talk about energy.
Because I’m always going to mix strategy with a little woo.
If you’re creating from a place of “I have to make money,” people can feel that.
If you don’t fully believe in your offer, people can feel that.
You cannot make money from an offer you half-ass believe in.
Energy matters.
People can feel your intention, even if they can’t explain it.
If you’re excited, if you’re grounded, if you believe in what you’re selling, that translates.
If you’re frantic, stressed, and scrambling, that translates too.
So here’s what I want you to do:
Stop creating.
Take a pause.
Pick one to two offers.
Go deeper.
Commit long enough to actually get paid.
Six months to a year of focused effort on two offers could completely change your life.
And if you want to work less and make more, you have to stop filling your time with things that don’t make you money.
Instead of scrolling and downloading more free content, go talk to your actual customers.
Ask them why they bought.
Ask them what they loved.
That will get you further than anything else.
And tonight, instead of scrolling, maybe just… slow down.
Let your nervous system calm down.
Trust that the answers are coming.
Because they are.
Thank you so much for being here.
If you enjoyed this episode, I would really appreciate it if you left a review. It helps me reach more women.
