Polen Surfboards was founded in 1988 in Cascais, Portugal, by two brothers - Alvaro and Eduardo Costa - along with their friend and shaper Fernando Horta.

They have been at the cutting edge of shaping for over 30 years and in addition to their well-known Portguese surfboards have a rich history of collaborating with many top tier shapers over the last 3 decades, ranging from Peter Daniels in the 80’s through to Timmy Patterson and John Pyzel today.
