In aid of Dementia Week 2023 Primary care spotlight  has created a mini series of podcast episodes which focus on Dementia. 

In this episode we speak to Ben Gregg-Waller a safe guarding facilitator working for the integrated health safeguarding team for the healthcare trusts in Cornwall (CFT/RCHT).

The Advocacy People provide access to IMCA (Independent Mental Capacity Advocate) services for Cornwall. They are also commissioned to provide IMHA (Independent Mental Health Advocate) and ICAA (Independent Care Act Advocate) services. Adult social cares Safeguarding Triage Team.

Safeguarding adults - Cornwall Council

The Safeguarding Triage Team in the council review all safeguarding concerns referred in by the public and professionals in all settings (police, social care, care homes, home care providers, hospital). They are the team that make the safeguarding threshold decision based on the guidance for section 42 of The Care Act 2014. They will also be the team that contact us as professionals requesting our support, input with care management or requesting action under the duty to cause enquiry as part of section 42 of The Care Act 2014 for patients that we have contact with.
