EMSNOW On Tour - India Podcast 5: Varroc and Uno Minda Katolec Electronics Services
EMSNOW reaches the halfway mark on the On Tour India trip with visits to two EMS companies in Pune. In this podcast, Eric Miscoll describes his visit to two EMS 100% focused on the automotive market, which is typical of the Pune region. Both companies provide dedicated electronics manufacturing services for the automotive market which includes all types of both EV and ICE vehicles. Varroc builds component and PCB sub assemblies and then ships these products for box-build and final assembly by the customer. Varroc also has polymer, metallic, and lighting capabilities and has opened a PCB fab, a trend Eric is noticing.
Uno Minda Katolec Electronics Services is a joint venture between Uno Minda and the Japanese Katolec, which was established in 2017. It is rapidly outgrowing its current facility in Pune. Eric explains details about the company and its history operating in India, as well as future plans for expansion.
You will want to listen to Eric’s analysis as he compares the two dedicated automotive EMS companies to other iterations of the EMS model he has encountered in his travels.
