EMSNOW On Tour: India Podcast 8 - Cyient DLM and Kaynes Technology

EMSNOW travels to Mysore to visit two EMS: Cyient DLM and Kaynes Technology. Cyient DLM (which stands for Design-Led Manufacturing) has a unique, engineering-heavy story, Eric explains, with 4 facilities in India and a U.S. facility acquired last year. The company has a 30+ year history in India and specializes in critical products in regulated industries, e.g. aerospace, medical, industrial and most recently semiconductor manufacturing. They pride themselves on their sticky customer relationships averaging 12 years. 

The team met with the CEO of Kaynes Technology who describe themselves as providing 'IoT solutions-enabled integrated electronics manufacturing with end-to-end capabilities across the electronics system design manufacturing (ESDM) spectrum.' They have recently become a public company and are committed to developing semiconductor and PCB fab capabilities in India.

For those who have been paying attention to these podcasts, you know EMSNOW was supposed to visit three companies on this leg of the tour; sadly the third company's CEO took ill and they had to cancel. So the group was able to go on a tour of the Mysore Castle, which Eric describes enthusiastically. It's a fascinating glimpse of the rich history and spectacular culture of this part of India.
