CUI: CMMC Under Investigation

Leslie

Welcome to CUI: CMMC Under Investigation. I am Leslie Weinstein, your host and conversation facilitator. Some of you may know me and some of you have no idea who I am. Either way, I want to introduce myself. I’m a major in the US Army reserves and while I’ve been in the Army for 15 years, I have been working in policy for the DoD in some shape form, or fashion for the last 10 years. I’ve supported several offices across the department and have served in nearly every echelon of the DoD-from an Army platoon, to an Army Division, the Army Staff, and up to the office of the secretary of defense. I’ve not seen it all, but I’ve seen a lot. And if you know me, you know I have a lot of opinions as well. I wanted to start this series to provide not just a voice, but context and depth of thought, to others with strong opinions regarding DoD policy-and specifically the CMMC. This podcast is a series of conversations with experts who have strong opinions as well. While our opinions may not be popular, they are well-formed and well-informed. There is no agenda to this series, it is simply a platform to share ideas and to provide free, unsolicited feedback to the department of defense and to others in the CMMC ecosystem. We have no wares to peddle, we are only selling ideas. We believe in a strong national defense and a strong defense industrial base, however, we recognize that there is more than one way to achieve this goal. My guests may be considered pariahs in the CMMC ecosystem, but it doesn't make their concerns and opinions any less valid. Also, their opinions don’t necessarily reflect my own personal opinions, so please, don’t shoot the messenger.
