Good morning everyone. This is Jeffy Kennedy, and I'm here with my first cup of coffee. It's a very rainy morning here in Tucson. Friday, November 29th. We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. Good timers had by all. It was really um everything went perfectly. We cater in most of the food from Whole Foods. Here comes my baby sister, Chudy, who is a calico, mostly white, with some black and orange on her. She heard me talking. I don't know where my other little sister is, Susie. Hi, sweetie. Yeah. You know that she's very interested now.

Very on brand for Jeffy's first cup of coffee that we have um cat interference wherever we go. Yes. Hi, sweetheart. So I'm sitting here on the couch gazing out the window at the rain. I woke up at 7 20. It was like being inside of a car wash. It was that heavy of a rain. It was uh just torrential. This is a Pacific storm that they had been tracking for a while, really warning us it was coming in. And so I ended up not getting any work done yesterday. We ended up playing and doing some things. So David was bored, and so we ended up going to one of the casinos, Indian casinos, and uh I won a couple hundred dollars, so I guess that was good. You are such a cute kitty cat. I wonder how to get a picture of her. Well, I was gonna give you a picture of the rain, but kitties are cuter than rain, aren't they? Make sure that I'm still recording. Yes. Get a picture of this cute kitty. Oh, and I can get rain in the background. There we go. Excuse me. The only thing about the casinos is they're smoky. I do have a kitty. So I don't think I have a whole lot to report, just checking in. Um, two more days for those of you doing nanorimo. I will post tomorrow, though I'm not sure exactly how that'll go, because we'll probably get up and leave early to hit the road, head back to Santa Fe. Today I'm going to go shopping with my mom and stepsister, Hope. We're gonna go to La Encantada Mall, which is always fun, although generally more fun when it's not pouring rain. It is mostly outdoor mall in Grand Tucson style. And so it'll be interesting to see how it goes. Yes, you are a sweet kitty, aren't you? She thinks this is pretty wonderful. And I've been just sitting here reading my book, and that is pretty wonderful for me, too. So really hoping I can get after those copy edits in the car tomorrow. I might have to work on them Sunday too, perhaps Monday if all else fails. I am having uh lunch on Monday with Melinda Snodgrass because I'm interviewing her on Tuesday night at the Cocteau Theatre slash Beastly Books. I think it depends on how big of a crowd they have. They might move things into Beastly Books. But um, so we're going to have lunch, which will be fun, at the tea house and discuss um what I can and can't ask. I think I'm a good interviewer because I'm a nosy person and I like to ask a lot of questions. But um I also am aware that I'm a nosy person. And so I don't ever want to uh put someone on the spot. It's one of the things I've had to learn in life as I've gotten older, is that I always believe that I can ask any question that I want. Or I used to believe that I could ask any question I want because people could always decline to answer. I decline to answer questions. But apparently that's not true of everybody, that many people feel like they can't decline to answer, which is boggling to me, but I've had to learn to be really aware of that and not ask people questions so that they don't put them in that position. So I am going to go back to reading here and shopping later today. If you are doing the nano-rhymal work today, I hope it goes great for you. Just enjoy these last couple of days of it.
