Garrett Tichy is a Charlotte-based entrepreneur who co-founded Seemingly Overzealous Ice Cream, an inclusive, allergy-friendly brand that takes fun very seriously. He previously founded Hygge Coworking (acquired in 2023) and co-founded SMPL, a software company acquired in 2020. His work centers on building businesses that bring people together and doing it the honest, behind-the-scenes way.
Jessica Berresse is a co-founder and operator of Seemingly Overzealous Ice Cream, where she turns big ideas into systems that actually work. She’s the behind-the-scenes magic making sure the ice cream is inclusive, the operations are tight, and the experience feels effortless (even when it’s not).
On this episode, we chat about what it's like to accept that the to-do list never ends, and still making time for rest and connection; what it's like to navigate reviews and feedback in the age of social media and being online; and on finding a competitive edge by adding a personal touch to everything.
