Episode 20
Welcome to Sick Enough, the podcast about hospital doctors, hospital issues, and the health conditions we commonly encounter.
Are you allergic to penicillin? Tyler bets that you aren't! There are a number of misconceptions about medication allergies, and patients can really limit their care when they claim an allergy (especially to antibiotics) that they don't have. In this episode, we discuss what constitutes a true allergy. We talk about the distinction between an allergy, an intolerance, and a side effect (or adverse effect).
