You Can't Recall Kshama Sawant

Erica Barnett, Sandeep Kaushik, David Hyde Season 1 Episode 1

In this inaugural episode, Sandeep and Erica explain why Seattle socialist Kshama Sawant appears to have survived a recall campaign and speculate on what it might mean for the future of Seattle and the American left. Erica also discovers she has something in common with Sawant: They both love HBO's Succession. Finally, Erica and Sandeep are tearful over the death of singer, guitarist, and libertarian Michael Nesmith. Note: In the recall campaign, Sandeep consulted for a political action committee, "A Better Seattle," which supported the recall effort.
