Road To Redemption
Julie White – From Fear and Insecurity to Knowing Her Identity in Christ
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Knowing God is one thing. Truly knowing who you are in Him can change everything.
In this powerful conversation on Road to Redemption, Valerie Peterson sits down with Julie White, an ordained minister, wife, mom, author, and founder of Royal Daughters, to talk about identity, healing, and discovering the love of God as a Father.
Julie grew up in church and experienced the presence of God from a very young age. But behind her faith was a home filled with brokenness, fear, and emotional instability.
Although she knew Jesus, Julie struggled to feel secure as God's beloved daughter.
Years later, while serving in ministry, she began asking God why she wasn't experiencing the love, peace, and joy she saw in His Word.
That question began a journey of healing.
God started revealing Himself to Julie as a loving Father and showing her who she truly was in Him.
She began to understand:
She is valued.
She is loved.
She is a beloved daughter of the King.
And she doesn't have to earn God's acceptance.
That revelation transformed the way Julie approached her faith, marriage, parenting, relationships, and ministry.
Today, Julie helps other women experience that same truth through Royal Daughters and the Princess Perspective Experience, helping women encounter Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Father while discovering their identity in Christ.
Her story reminds us:
Knowing Jesus is the beginning of a lifelong journey.
Healing can happen from generation to generation.
Your past does not have to determine your future.
And you don't have to earn the love of your Heavenly Father.
You are already loved.
What would change if you truly believed you were loved, valued, and delighted in by God?

Welcome And Meet Julie White
SPEAKER_00Good morning. This is Valerie Peterson, and you've tuned in to Road to Redemption. We're so glad you're here with us. Bottom line, we have an amazing woman in the studio. And if you have any issues with identity or questioning who God really is, you're watching the right show. I want to go ahead and introduce Julie White. She's here with us today. Julie is a minister. She is a mom, a wife, and she has an amazing ministry that I really want her to tell us about. Go ahead. Awesome. Um, yeah, so hi.
SPEAKER_01Um, I'm Julie. Uh, do you want me to kind of just start with my story? I would love for you to start with just what you're doing today and communicate. Okay. Yeah, absolutely. Okay, so um I have a different assignments of how I feel like God has called me um in this season, which I think we all have, right? A lot of us don't just do one thing. And so, you know, I'm I'm a mom, right? My kids are transitioning out of high school into college. So um involved with just their lives in the school, right? And just serving in that area. Um, also, I'm an ordained minister with Global Awakening. I lead, I founded um a couple of different ministries. One is called
Royal Daughters And Activating Faith
SPEAKER_01Royal Daughters, and we host a main event, a counter weekend called the Princess Perspective Experience. And that leads women, whether they know God or don't know God, like some women who have been in ministry all their lives, to women who have never been in church, right? Right. And when they come through this encounter weekend, God downloaded a process to me to walk them through the encounter Jesus, they encounter Holy Spirit, and they encounter the Father. And in that, they discover who they are in him and how much they're valued and loved. Um, so he downloaded that process and brought me through that first. And so that's the main assignment I have. And there's another assignment called activate. And activate is based on Matthew 10, 7, and 8. As you go, um, preach that the kingdom is here and demonstrate it, right? By healing the sick, raising the dead, cleansing the leper, and um casting out demons. And so that's about activating the body of Christ into that commissioning assignment. And that's for men and women. So uh those two assignments really excited. Dot is expanding that um to locally and different regions.
SPEAKER_00You know, she's an example of having a multifaceted call on her life. Look at all the things that she's doing, but she's doing it so well because why? What I see in you, Julie, as a friend, you know how to seek ye first, not second, not third. The kingdom of God and everything else will be added to you as well. That's what you do well. You keep things in alignment, and I think God really is honoring that. I want to promote her book, it
The Book And Encounter Process
SPEAKER_00is amazing, and she is um very generous in in sewing into people's lives for this book. It's called The Princess Perspective Experience. Anything you want to say about it to our listeners?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, when the Lord gave me an assignment a couple of years ago, he said write it. And again, it's beautiful because it's been written um with a 10-year experience, my own encounters. So it will walk women through my own encounters, but also women who have been through the encounter weekend and haven't their own personal journey. As I share that, I also give the revelation of all these things about who God is and who they are in Christ. Um, so they engage and they encounter through journal entries and questions and um the revelation of the word, like we talk about, so that they can have their own princess perspective experience as they read through this book.
SPEAKER_00Love it. Yeah. Can you go into and share with our listeners about your
Growing Up In Church Without Safety
SPEAKER_00upbringing and church and all of that?
SPEAKER_01Absolutely, because that's my redemption story. And we talk about, you know, this is the road to redemption, right? Right. And that looks so different from ever to everybody. I don't have the typical um my road looks like um I didn't know God for most of my life. Mine comes from being in church, but yet missing a core component of who God was. Um, so my story is that my mom and dad, um, they were raised in church, but they didn't know Jesus really. They they one was went to Baptist church, one went to Catholic church, but their lives were very broken. Um, and they had a lot of trauma in their past, right? So they become born again when I'm eight weeks old. I'm the third of three kids. Um, so I would say my life began in the church with parents who are newly born again.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01And so what happens is because the the church that I'm raised in with saw the presence of God manifest and the power of the Holy Spirit, I'm so blessed that I remember being three years old, my parents having Bible study, and the presence and the love of Jesus being so tangible in that space. Um, and experiencing that environment had such, I'm so thankful for that because it it has been a core that has held me in the midst of a lot of chaos within family and church. So my background was presence of the Holy Spirit um throughout my life. Um, I would say I gave my life to the Lord at three years old. Um, I went up to the front and I had a conviction about lying. And I remember throwing a tantrum and my mom was holding me back, and I just wouldn't let her hold me back. And I went to the front and I gave my life to Jesus. Wow. And um, maybe eight years old, it was filled with the Holy Spirit. Um, but I had the gifts of the Holy Spirit operating through my life at such a young age. So that's one part of my story, yes. But in the same part, um, because my parents were born again and had very broken pasts, psychological backgrounds, drug, drug use, um, adultery, um my dad still dealing with severe PTSD, um, to the place where he can't remember things as a child, and my mom um experienced sexual molestation as a child. All these things, even though they became born again, did not automatically mean um wholeness and healthy immaturity and relational and emotional space.
SPEAKER_00So can I stop you at that? I mean, you and I talked about this. God made us to be not only physical and spiritual beings, but emotional beings, right? And often the sanctification process is a process, not an event. That's right. Keep going, keep going.
SPEAKER_01Yes, 100%. So so we're in, I'm in this partially in church, Holy Spirit feeling the love, but yet my parents have no idea what safety looks like in a home. Um, relational communication. So it's very toxic because they didn't know, they didn't have the emotional healing yet in their journey. So I grew up in an environment in my home that was really unsafe, you know, and um what happened was that plays into, and I don't know if if you've ever heard this or but you put on to God who your parents are, that filter, right? And so while I'm growing up filled with the Holy Spirit, I never felt safe. I didn't even know, being a born-again Christian, if I really, really was gonna go to heaven. Um, in our church environment, because it knew Holy Spirit, knew the Lordship of Jesus Christ, but wasn't really talking about the love of the Father, every week there was a your backslidding, your backslidden, you need to repent. So my relationship with God looked like an unsafe relationship. I felt his love on one hand, but never knowing the security of being a beloved daughter. And um, and I want to just say, you know, I love because of the love of the father in my life now with my parents, it's created wholeness and healing in home. Wow, um, a sense of what family is, um, and able to love my parents and who they are, and we're all on a journey, you know. Does that make sense? Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So so I want listeners to hear this. We can't bring anyone further than we've come ourselves. And often we've come from painful backgrounds. So can you position yourself to Philippians 1, 6 to allowing God to continue, right? Yeah, to do a good work in you until the day you meet him face to face. And that's what I see in you. You've allowed him. Yeah, so now you're whole and you're able to pour out to others.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely. That is my redemption story, right? So, so you know, I knew the love of God and feeling his presence, right? But yet not understanding the safety because of my home environment, never emotional, save a lot of fear in that atmosphere. But what kept me is knowing that God in his righteousness was more wise. So if I did what he told me to do, it'd be safer than outside doing other things. So that kind of anchored me. Like that fear of the Lord anchored me in a way. Um, so I be I'm in church, right? Raised in church. So I'm in leadership roles and helping the plant churches, leading worship teams, um, leading youth groups, and I'm in my 30s. And uh I just start questioning God. This is where my redemption really changes, right?
The Prayer That Started Healing
SPEAKER_01Um, and I asked God, okay, I I don't see the fruit of the spirit manifesting in my life. Where's the love, the peace, the joy? There was a lot of anxiety and a lot of fear and anger that I had in my life. And then I read hacks and I said, I believe the word of God is true. So why don't I see what I read in the Bible active in my own life? And that one prayer I went to God and I said, I believe your word is true. So that means I'm missing something. What am I missing? And from that moment of just being sincere and authentic with God, he then will bring me on a journey, a 10-year journey of can you of revealing who he is and who I was. So um, my pastor even had a vision. He said, I see there's a fail over your life. He showed me there's a fail, and he's removing the veil, and it has to do with your father. Well, I thought because of that broken relationship with my father, because of broken relationship with my mom, that meant my earthly father. Well, the next months I began to have encounters in there in the book where Father God reveals himself to me and he begins to peel back, Papa God. And I'll I will say this. Um, if we are missing um relationship with any part of Godhead, that's where we'll go into error. So if you if you believe in Holy Spirit and the and Jesus, but don't know daddy, that's where we get off in our understanding. Some people know Papa God, but they haven't experienced Holy Spirit, and that's where there'll be some error. Does that make sense? Yeah, it does. So we need to know the fullness and who he was, and I was missing that
Meeting Father God And New Identity
SPEAKER_01part. So God begins to encounter after encounter, show me who he is as a good father. And as a good father, then he's like, This is who you are in me. And that's when the security comes in. That's where I understand being beloved and he delights in me, right? As father God. And that's why princess perspective, he even downloaded that name of the book. Um, love me. Princess being a daughter of the king, right? And so I begin to understand I am valued and truly loved right where you're at, right where I'm at, as a as and he is a good, good father. Um, when he's doing this in my life, when I'm having encounters with him, everything changes about my belief system. Um, for instance, worship is it trying to get his attention or earn acceptance, but coming from a place of he's already loved to me, and I'm just delighting in his love for me as a response to him. So it recalibrates my whole Christian experience. I'm reading the word of God where before it was disconnected. Now I'm living the word of God, my life reflecting the word of God. Um, and I begin to operate in all the miracles, um, not every single miracle that's in the Bible, but those I begin activated in my own life, growing in love, seeing him, seeing others through his eyes, and it calibrates us. And so we talk about the church, and I'll say I was in um, I was in the church, but I was outside of the kingdom. I was outside of home. And so after this, then I come into the home in the kingdom of God. And so what God gave me for the church is now seeing it in his design, what did he create? So I was in a house growing up, but not a home. Does that make sense? Yeah, and now when I get married and God gives me all this healing, I'm asking him, God, what does home look like in your heart? And so he begins to cultivate in me and my husband that healing. And now we begin to raise our kids from the space of a loving father and a home, changes how we're parent, changes how we do life together in marriage. Um, and so it it literally bleeds out in our whole life, how we do ministry. And so I know I used to be passionate for Jesus. Now I know that Jesus is passionate about me. And that's half of the gospel. The gospel isn't just about who God is, it's about who we are in Christ. So, of course, um, my my message is not just for the lost, but it's for the children of God within the church, so that we make sure we're not just doing legalism in church and checking off boxes, but truly understanding who we are as a family of God and who he is, um, because that's really truly what his heart is for us.
Church Disappointment And Not Idolizing Leaders
SPEAKER_00Would you speak to the person listening that right now feels so far away from God is just questioning, do I continue on in my faith? What would you say?
SPEAKER_01Um, one of the really cool things that God did was because of the different denominations I grew up in and the lack of the love of the father revelation, I became angry when he gave me this revelation at all the pastors. And immediately God said they couldn't give you what they didn't have. And so my heart became merciful and gracious. Um, like you said, you can't give what you don't get. And it just so happened that in the church, they didn't have that, and so I saw them through the eyes of the father, right? He loves us so much, he loves his body, and in family, you because you become so safe in the love of God, you're able to see family in the good and the bad, and and you can love with the love of the father and value people because of who they are and not their perfection. Yeah, and so we need that community. God created the church for that community, and discipleship isn't about learning to check off boxes, but it's learning how to be loved. And I truly believe our whole purpose in our life is to learn to be loved by God and learning to love others.
SPEAKER_00And you can't do that in isolation, you know what? And I just was thinking of the person that just feels today very isolated and is pulled away from the church. You know, I look at John Bavier's book, The Bay to Satan, and what does he say in that book in so many words that that Satan works overtime to get people what? Up and out of church. Yeah. What would you say to the person that's like, I'm done, I'm done in disappointment with the minister?
SPEAKER_01100%. Okay, so when we don't have close relationship with God, we idolize man because we need men. We put a symphony of God. And so when I was young, unfortunately, the churches that also were operating by the Holy Spirit, those church leaders fell. And my mom really and dad were crushed, and they came away from the church a little while. So I walked through that as young. And God came in this thing, it's about the it's not about the pastor, it's about the master. So I'm that's so good, right? And so um, and that spiritual orphan place, that's where we will require of men what they can't be. Leadership is there to point us to God and not to idolizing man. I love it, right? And so as you begin to, as God was cultivating this relationship with me and wholeness and love, I'm less codependent on leaders. So I can love them and see them even through the heart of the father. And I'll say this after God gave me this revelation of who he was, I was able to see my own dad through his eyes. That my dad, he had sexism, right? Why his mom, with her own psychosis, was unable to love him the way he needed to be loved. So he, through anger and control, tried to make me and my sister become what he needed his mom to be. But because of his brokenness, it it came out of fear, anger, control, right? Yep. But then the Lord showed me he was just a little boy wanting to be loved by his mom. So in his woundedness, he projected that on us. But I was being healed by my daddy through my own, my heavenly father in my own heart, able to see through the eyes of God. And and it healed me to love him and give him the mercy and the grace. Um, and and I even told my dad, Dad, I'm sorry you weren't loved as a child. And I remember him just going, Oh, thank you. I was able to bring some healing in his heart by seeing that, meeting him that people weren't able to see. Um, and you know, this relationship with God just overflows that healing overflows into your family. So it overflowed into my aunt and her getting to know Papa God. She knew Jesus as a lover of soul, but she didn't know Papa God. And now she knows the love of the Father. And so I begin to see it bring life to others, Stanley.
SPEAKER_00And I want to say, you can be a generational changer. Yes. What has been handed down generation to generation in your family line, right, Julie? You have been a generational changer in your family. And look at how it's continues to what expand and touch on other people.
SPEAKER_01Anything you want to say? Um, absolutely. It I think we need to differentiate the salvation born again is the beginning of this relationship with God that God wants to cultivate inner healing, inner transformation from glory to glory. And the fruit comes more and more and multiplies more and more from generation to generation. So I'm so thankful for my dad who saw television and said yes, because it didn't bring the fullness of what healthy looked like, but it was that first step to change things. And then I said, Lord, I want more. Right. And so I want my children to say, I want more, right? Yes. So,
Upcoming November Weekend And Final Prayer
SPEAKER_01so in our journey, it's from glory to glory within our own journey and then from legacy to legacy. Love it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Can you talk about and tell our listeners about what's coming up in November for your ministry?
SPEAKER_01Oh, absolutely. So um, once a year we host the Princess Perspective experience. Um, and it is going to be once again, uh, second week in November. We have registration open up in our website, which is um www.rowdeltacappa.com. Those are the Greek letters. So just go look that up. And you can register there and you can book your room. Um, but we God showed me to give this as a gift to his daughters. So there's a security deposit for the registration that you'll get back when you show up. Um, because well, because daddy God just wants to love and he wants to crown his daughters. And he gave me this assignment to manifest his love for his daughters on the earth in this way. So we want to see every woman of God. Again, you might not know the Lord or you might have been in church for 30 years to come and you'll get more. And to allow this to bring you into more of a fullness of knowing him and who you are. So we want to crown as many princesses as we can. Um, so we definitely want you to come in. We limit it to 48 spaces, just so you know, because God said, keep it intimate. Yeah, right. It's a very intimate process. So we hope you, yeah, go to the website um and register today. We'd love to see you there.
SPEAKER_00And your website really does show more about the ministry. So I really encourage you to go to her website too. Yeah, and we have a highlight video.
SPEAKER_01Go watch a highlight video because it will give you a sense of what this encounter weekend is about.
SPEAKER_00I agree. I agree. To close, we always want to share our three pillars of the road to redemption. And the first is get in the word. We both know the power of the word of God. If he watches over his word to perform it, right, Julie. Get in the word. Second of all, find a good church where you're gonna grow. There's something about, right? The corporate anointing. I know when I walk into church and then I walk out, I feel different.
SPEAKER_01I have left like-minded believers to encourage us. Yes. Yes.
SPEAKER_00And lastly, find accountability, find a small group. There's something about going shoulder to shoulder with other people to encourage you in your faith. Find that. You know, to start, yes, one true friend, my dad would always say, is better than a thousand acquaintances. Find someone you can reach out to today if you feel isolated and alone. We want to close in prayer. So, Father God, I just thank you that your holy presence is right here. But most importantly, you're right with every person that's listening. And we ask, Lord God, that you're with them, you're comforting them. I love in Psalm 16 where you say, even in the nighttime hours, I'll counsel you. Thank you that you're with them, you're leading, you're covering, you're ministering to them right now. I pray that Julie's words have touched lives today. And I thank you in Jesus' mighty name. Jesus' name.
SPEAKER_01Heavenly Father, I thank you that you are not far, that you're near, that you pursue us, and that no woman is alone. You're right there with him. You're right with his sons and daughters. You love us so much. And I pray, Father, that just as Paul prayed, that the hearts, the our spirits would be awakened and enlightened to see you and to know you. So, Father, right now, if there's just a woman or a man that is listening to this and watching to this, and and then just feel like I can't feel, I can't see, I can't experience. Father, would you awaken them to your love, awaken them to your goodness and draw them as you do by your loving kindness in Jesus' name.
SPEAKER_00Amen. Thank you so much for tuning in today. Thank you, Julie. Thank you for being here. And until next time, God bless each of you.
