Welcome everybody to this week's show.

0:46

46 seconds

This is the You can't comp this NBA trading card podcast. I am your host Russell Gibson and as you can see the

0:53

53 seconds

mighty Shak Fujofu combo is on the show today. Joe, what's up man?

1:00

1 minute

Hey Ross, thanks for having me back again man.

1:03

1 minute, 3 seconds

Thanks for coming. It's going to be a fun fun show. What do you want to talk about?

1:09

1 minute, 9 seconds

There's so much happening in this off season. I did not expect a lot of this.

1:14

1 minute, 14 seconds

Um, obviously we got to start with the bombshell which is uh Giannis Giannis and Bobby Poris going to the Heat. Uh in

1:23

1 minute, 23 seconds

exchange for the Bucks getting Tyler Herrow, Haimei Hakez, Khal Wear, [snorts] uh Kisparas, Yakonis,

1:32

1 minute, 32 seconds

uh a first round pick the number 13 in 2026, the number 13 lucky 13 unprotected first round picks in 2031

1:41

1 minute, 41 seconds

uh and 2033 2030 [snorts] uh uh 2030, sorry, first round pick swap. Uh 2033

1:49

1 minute, 49 seconds

second round pick. So, it was quite a swag.

1:54

1 minute, 54 seconds

Yeah, it's a huge hole. I mean, you have to pay a lot to get a guy like Giannis and he's still relatively in his prime.

2:01

2 minutes, 1 second

Maybe a tiny little bit past it, but you're getting an absolute A-lister in this guy. And I think the Miami Heat the last few years have been trying their

2:08

2 minutes, 8 seconds

dandest to get an A-lister. So, they finally got their guy. And I think the other thing, too, is it's a very Miami

2:16

2 minutes, 16 seconds

Heat thing to do is trade away all their future assets. like this is not the first time that they've emptied their draft picks to try and get a guy. So I

2:24

2 minutes, 24 seconds

think for me the really big thing is like what's the rest of the Miami Heat roster going to look like? Because at this stage it doesn't make a whole bunch of sense.

2:33

2 minutes, 33 seconds

They still got the going joke is basically it's Giannis Bam and a bag of potato chips versus you know a bunch of

2:41

2 minutes, 41 seconds

anybody they can get from LA Fitness to play alongside them. Uh but what it actually looks like is uh Giannis Bam uh

2:49

2 minutes, 49 seconds

Wiggins uh Tim Hardway Jr. they signed him to a one-year 6.5 million deal and then they'll keep um they'll keep

2:57

2 minutes, 57 seconds

and retain Davon Mitchell their um the point guard.

3:02

3 minutes, 2 seconds

I think that's the big one for me. Like if you're looking at who is going to be the opportunistic guy who's going to benefit from this, I think Davon Mitchell as the roster stands now is like the really big standout.

3:13

3 minutes, 13 seconds

Yeah. Yeah.

3:14

3 minutes, 14 seconds

And I think the other one too is Nicole Yovic because that losing Jamie Harkz that really sort of

3:21

3 minutes, 21 seconds

cleans up court time in that sort of wing rotation cuz they do like to play guys a little bit positionously. So I

3:28

3 minutes, 28 seconds

think that's going to help him. And then to a degree probably Khal where stepping away is going to give him a few more minutes to play into it, isn't it?

3:36

3 minutes, 36 seconds

Bobby Poris is there. Oh, Norman Pow's there, isn't he? So then Norman may get traded. So, I wouldn't I'd hold my breath on Norman.

3:44

3 minutes, 44 seconds

Why do you think Norman Pal will get traded?

3:47

3 minutes, 47 seconds

I think it's a money issue. Uh they could probably move him off for some pieces and there's uh there's a few offers uh coming through that Miami can't match.

3:57

3 minutes, 57 seconds

So, don't be surprised if Norman Pal gets moved on pretty soon.

4:02

4 minutes, 2 seconds

See, I'm the opposite in that space because look at his contract for the next five years. 15 16 18 19 20. Yep.

4:09

4 minutes, 9 seconds

Um sorry, let me rephrase that. Oh, is he unrestricted?

4:17

4 minutes, 17 seconds

Yes. Yeah. Right.

4:22

4 minutes, 22 seconds

So, so yeah, there is room for him to move and there's room for somebody to swoop in and steal him.

4:29

4 minutes, 29 seconds

And why not? I mean, he was he was basically one of their leading scorers uh last season, you know, possibly even

4:37

4 minutes, 37 seconds

ahead of BAM really like Yeah.

4:39

4 minutes, 39 seconds

Like for most of the season. Yeah, there's no scenario he comes back getting paid 15 or $20 million a year, does it? Like he's at least a 30 $35 million player now, isn't he?

4:49

4 minutes, 49 seconds

He would he would definitely command that after being quite steady last season. He was very steady. Shot the ball really well. Just a steady offensive scorer.

4:58

4 minutes, 58 seconds

Yeah. So I I wouldn't be surprised if some team offers him his 30 million and he gets and he and he moves on. If you're buying into someone from the

5:07

5 minutes, 7 seconds

Miami Heat at the moment, who are you looking to to buy into after this trade?

5:12

5 minutes, 12 seconds

I think look, Giannis pretty much stands to gain the most. Uh it's he's he's been a bit stagnant of late. He's held his

5:19

5 minutes, 19 seconds

value. Uh he's in a position now with a real real finals contender. Uh, we always talk about the finals being a

5:27

5 minutes, 27 seconds

really good chance to push a val player's value and him pairing up with Bam and hopefully they can pick up some

5:34

5 minutes, 34 seconds

more veteran pieces to round out this team. Um, they could make a real genuine push.

5:42

5 minutes, 42 seconds

So, looking at Giannis' silver PSA 10 value, it's currently trading at $7,100.

5:49

5 minutes, 49 seconds

Normally the card we would look at is the silver PSA 10. But I think for Giannis the better thing to do is actually look at the base because the

5:56

5 minutes, 56 seconds

population on the silver is just 88. And the total number of sales as you can see here it's there's a few there the last 12 months but it's really not much. I

6:04

6 minutes, 4 seconds

think we'll see heaps more on the on the base which I think will give us a bit better of an idea in terms of trends. So you can see see here straight away look how many more sales is there.

6:13

6 minutes, 13 seconds

Population is 3,251. That's the only thing about that. Mhm.

6:18

6 minutes, 18 seconds

So when

6:21

6 minutes, 21 seconds

[snorts]

6:21

6 minutes, 21 seconds

I mean technically he's actually gone down I think since the trade. It's only a little bit though. He's gone down about $60 since the trade. But this card

6:29

6 minutes, 29 seconds

this fluctuates. I was actually looking at the PSA 9 the other day and doing a segment on this.

6:34

6 minutes, 34 seconds

And the fluctuation on this card is amazing.

6:39

6 minutes, 39 seconds

You can almost like a little roller coaster.

6:41

6 minutes, 41 seconds

Almost make the argument you could sort of fluctuation trade this card. Yeah. Yeah. It's actually all over the place.

6:48

6 minutes, 48 seconds

If you did miss currently up. It's currently up.

6:52

6 minutes, 52 seconds

Well, if you did miss that segment that I was doing, because I think when I did that segment, I actually thought it was around the 200, sorry, the $150 mark.

7:03

7 minutes, 3 seconds

Yeah, I think that's a really good purchase. Not bad, right?

7:09

7 minutes, 9 seconds

I'm going to double down on that. I feel really happy with with that as a find.

7:12

7 minutes, 12 seconds

And I think particularly when when you look at the the price difference between the nine and the 10, I think that's something I want to do a bit more work on. Like when

7:21

7 minutes, 21 seconds

there's a massive discrepancy between the 9 and the 10, it's not massive, but it's at it's 3x in this instance.

7:28

7 minutes, 28 seconds

I think those I think those gaps can close. And so I think that's a a really good way to actually look at a card and like try and find a little bit of value

7:35

7 minutes, 35 seconds

there. Well, when you can't especially when you can't afford the silver, like when the silver is so far out of reach, you got to think of the alternatives.

7:45

7 minutes, 45 seconds

Oh, I think absolutely. And the train is gone on that on that card.

7:51

7 minutes, 51 seconds

It's 7,000 US. Like that's Yeah, it's a really big ball of cheese. Yeah.

7:55

7 minutes, 55 seconds

For for us mere mortals, that's that's well well outside of reach. [laughter] Um, who else on the roster should we

8:03

8 minutes, 3 seconds

talk about before we move on to the next trade? I look Davian, I mean, he's young, he's getting minutes, uh, you know, like he's he's gonna he's going to

8:10

8 minutes, 10 seconds

be a starter this season. He has shown that he's got flashes to to to do better. Um, so, you know, it'll be his

8:18

8 minutes, 18 seconds

first starting gig after being a rookie for so many years.

8:21

8 minutes, 21 seconds

You know, look, from my perspective, I'm probably the wrong person to talk to about this

8:28

8 minutes, 28 seconds

just for the fact that he was a Kings rookie. So, like clearly I'm I'm biased in this space. I've actually got a fair bit of this guy just from going into

8:36

8 minutes, 36 seconds

breaks and just picking up sort of random bits and pieces. But my take on this guy is that he's an excellent 3 and D player and

8:45

8 minutes, 45 seconds

you know he would be perfect on the Spurs. He's the type of guy that would just fit into a system, you know, once he was put into the right system. So I've got really high hopes for him in

8:54

8 minutes, 54 seconds

Miami and if he does end up being the starter, I wouldn't be overly surprised because he is competent on both sides of the ball and he's actually getting

9:02

9 minutes, 2 seconds

better. he's shooting in particular. And look at the prices on this guy. $15 for a one and one on card autograph.

9:09

9 minutes, 9 seconds

Obviously the the one touch on this is scratched and the photograph is terrible. But I'm sure the card inside that's absolutely lovely. Look at this.

9:17

9 minutes, 17 seconds

This is the Spectra RPA patch there for $30 again on card

9:24

9 minutes, 24 seconds

autograph. But someone like this is really a bargain basement purchase and you might see a bit of movement on this guy.

9:32

9 minutes, 32 seconds

Just a fun little side PC, you know, like it's not it's not always going to be about making money, make money, but if you want to just collect somebody who's fun, going to give you some

9:40

9 minutes, 40 seconds

minutes on the court and you know, he's a starter, you know, like I I think that that's that's like that's the part of collecting where you actually get to

9:48

9 minutes, 48 seconds

watch your player grow. And we talked about it last time when I was on um where my buddy Josh collecting Mitchell Robinson having meaningful minutes in a

9:56

9 minutes, 56 seconds

meaningful playoff run in a in a championship you know season you know like getting to watch him and like he was like what peanuts to collect

10:05

10 minutes, 5 seconds

you know but that's his PC player and you know he gets minutes and he gets to play probably cheaper than Devon Mitchell to be honest centers go less than point

10:14

10 minutes, 14 seconds

guards so that's his true vertical RPA that sold for 287 so yeah so you like like comparatively like if you were trying to go after like a

10:22

10 minutes, 22 seconds

Giannis or Hell Shack or like you know it just it'd be way too expensive.

10:29

10 minutes, 29 seconds

Did you want to break this one down, man?

10:31

10 minutes, 31 seconds

Yeah, I mean you got like um you got Wiggins also signing a threeyear $64 million deal. Uh solid little pickup,

10:38

10 minutes, 38 seconds

you know, not breaking the bank. Once again, $30 million roughly or 20 millionish dollars every year going forward for the next three years is a

10:46

10 minutes, 46 seconds

good little pickup. you know, NBA championship vet. Um, good scoring pedigree, just just a nice addition and

10:54

10 minutes, 54 seconds

a good guy to kind of throw the ball out to on the wing alongside Tim Hardaway Jr. as well.

11:01

11 minutes, 1 second

Yeah, I I think now is a really good time just to refresh everyone's memory on what the maximum salary is in the NBA. So, six or

11:10

11 minutes, 10 seconds

fewer years in the NBA, it's $41 million a year. 7 to n years of experience is 50 million. So, for You know, just for some context, that's about 50% of the max.

11:21

11 minutes, 21 seconds

So, I actually think even though Andrew Wickens probably hasn't lived up to his true potential that everyone was hoping

11:29

11 minutes, 29 seconds

for, him being the number one overall pick, he plays both ends of the court.

11:33

11 minutes, 33 seconds

He's a really good rebounder. He's never the type of guy who's going to be making waves in the locker room or anything like that. So, I think him as a role

11:41

11 minutes, 41 seconds

player as a second, third, or fourth option is is what you want. And that's sort of about the salary where he sits at for me. So I agree with you. I think

11:48

11 minutes, 48 seconds

this is a really tidy little deal. And it's a good it's a good pickup for the Heat to be honest.

11:52

11 minutes, 52 seconds

It's a very Heat pickup, you know, like he's just a solid vet, not going to make waves, very Norman Powell. Comes in, does his job, scores 15 to 20 points.

12:03

12 minutes, 3 seconds

And so what it's just saying in the comments here from Drew It Up, shaved almost $9 million from his player option. So Pat Riley strikes again. I

12:10

12 minutes, 10 seconds

mean, you like that's brilliant, isn't it? the heat bring him back and save money. That's just Yeah. Fantastic. That's very Pat Riley.

12:19

12 minutes, 19 seconds

Are you buying Andrew Wiggins though?

12:22

12 minutes, 22 seconds

Uh look, I had some Andrew Wiggins back in the day and he was probably one of the rookies that burned me when I was like back in my prospecting years. Uh so

12:30

12 minutes, 30 seconds

I' I've uh I've learned my lesson uh prospecting fresh rookies and Andrew Wiggins was the catalyst for that.

12:40

12 minutes, 40 seconds

I mean, I'm I'm actually going to say that's not bad for a silver PSA 10. $41.

12:47

12 minutes, 47 seconds

Yeah, he's a fun collection. He's a fun like once again, like another great player you just pick up. You know, he's going to get minutes. He's going to show up on the court. He's not going to do

12:55

12 minutes, 55 seconds

dumb stuff off the court and $10 for a base.

13:00

13 minutes

Yeah. But once again though, this probably won't grow.

13:04

13 minutes, 4 seconds

like like I'd put this in my column of like it probably won't grow and explode. Yeah. Okay, fine. I'll give you that.

13:13

13 minutes, 13 seconds

It's more of a PC only sort of pick up, isn't it? But also, when does it get to a point where people are undervalued though? So like see

13:20

13 minutes, 20 seconds

Kevin Durant, see Shaquille O'Neal, at some point the tides turn and then people start to realize there's a bit of value in these

13:28

13 minutes, 28 seconds

guys. Like do you ever see that happening with Wiggins?

13:32

13 minutes, 32 seconds

[snorts]

13:32

13 minutes, 32 seconds

Oh, look, he was look, he's won his NBA chip. I think he'll probably join the pile of other NBA players that have won NBA chips and played meaningful minutes

13:41

13 minutes, 41 seconds

and but his value probably won't won't explode and take off. Yeah.

13:46

13 minutes, 46 seconds

Like he he wasn't he like I mean you kind of go back to like even like what was it big shop Bob and Robert Horry like he's got seven chips and and you

13:55

13 minutes, 55 seconds

know collecting his cards.

13:57

13 minutes, 57 seconds

Where where's his value sitting you know? So like you know I yeah I think he'll just yeah he'll join big shop Bob.

14:03

14 minutes, 3 seconds

He'll be one of those memorable players that us as fans of the NBA will remember him being a solid player but as collectors and there's value probably won't.

14:12

14 minutes, 12 seconds

No good call man that's that's really good. All right. LaMelo Balls also on the move.

14:18

14 minutes, 18 seconds

I'm a little Yeah. You were surprised about this one?

14:22

14 minutes, 22 seconds

I was I was actually to join you. I was equally surprised just for the fact that Yeah. that they were so good.

14:29

14 minutes, 29 seconds

Yeah, that he was good, but more to the destination that he went to. I think there's been a little bit of innuendo that the Hornets were trying to move him

14:38

14 minutes, 38 seconds

for a year, a year and a half. And so that part of it I'm not too surprised about. And also to the assets that they

14:46

14 minutes, 46 seconds

got back that I I think you can't say no to that type of package when it's being offered for a player like that. And so

14:55

14 minutes, 55 seconds

what I'm very interested in and what I really want to read more about is the Wolves because I think they're actually a deep analytics team. So the Go Bear

15:04

15 minutes, 4 seconds

acquisition was all driven by defensive analytics and I think that the um the

15:12

15 minutes, 12 seconds

Nars Reed contract was also like an excellent excellent contract and I think that's actually a really big piece of this trade in terms of like the talent

15:20

15 minutes, 20 seconds

acquisition for the Hornets. And so I think that the the Wolves are actually a lot more competent of a franchise than

15:28

15 minutes, 28 seconds

we probably give them credit for. I think just traditionally they've been so terrible for such a long time. It's almost hard to sort of see the

15:34

15 minutes, 34 seconds

transition, but my gut feeling is they've got an elite scorer with Anthony Edwards. We've got an elite defender

15:41

15 minutes, 41 seconds

with Goar. And now they've got an elite playmaker. And can those three pieces actually coexist together and do really

15:49

15 minutes, 49 seconds

well? And my gut feeling is is yes because this is my analogy on this is the Lakers last year you had three fantastic players but a lot of the

15:58

15 minutes, 58 seconds

skills that Luca Austin Reeves had and obviously Luca Dodic was that it was all skill duplication whereas what you've got here

16:06

16 minutes, 6 seconds

is like three really talented players that all do three very different things.

16:12

16 minutes, 12 seconds

And so I really hope that LaMelo goes in there and just becomes this energetic uh floor spacer

16:21

16 minutes, 21 seconds

playmaker creator that sets up LaMelo, sets up Goar for lobs, and Gobear is just cleaning the glass, blocking shots, and then Edwards just gets to go out

16:29

16 minutes, 29 seconds

there and do his thing and just become this ball swinging, high swagger, highscoring dunking machine. Do you know

16:37

16 minutes, 37 seconds

what I mean? Like that's kind of I'm hoping this is the high end of how this all sort of plays out. So I I love it when teams

16:46

16 minutes, 46 seconds

Yeah. You love it when teams sorry just swing for the fences and just have a go man. And so I I think good for them.

16:53

16 minutes, 53 seconds

They're not scared like they they like like you said they are swinging for the fence. Um there's also don't forget they still got AO Dumu on this lineup along

17:01

17 minutes, 1 second

with Jaden McDaniels. Uh two guys who really showed in the finals what they're capable of if left with the keys in the in the you know to the car.

17:11

17 minutes, 11 seconds

and you know two very competent you know players that go both ways as well. So this rounds out the lineup you know it's

17:18

17 minutes, 18 seconds

just like Ball Ant-Man Gobear Dumu McDaniels and yeah obviously they ship off Reed who was the sixman of the year

17:27

17 minutes, 27 seconds

um but like you said really great contract to ship off very flexible good good potential for um for the for the

17:34

17 minutes, 34 seconds

Hornets. Um, they also get an unprotected first round pick. Uh, 2033 unprotected and then some first round

17:42

17 minutes, 42 seconds

pick swaps from 2018, oh, sorry, 2028 to 2030 and then three second round picks.

17:49

17 minutes, 49 seconds

So, that's a lot of picks potential. Um, going insane amount. Yeah, it's an insane amount.

17:57

17 minutes, 57 seconds

He definitely played well last season to deserve it though. He helped. He was part of the reason why the Charlotte's resurgence last year.

18:05

18 minutes, 5 seconds

Did you also touch on the trade exception? I'm not too I can't remember if you did, if I missed it all.

18:10

18 minutes, 10 seconds

No, I didn't talk about the trade exception. So, bring that up.

18:13

18 minutes, 13 seconds

So, basically too, the Hornets also created a trade exception. So, essentially what that means is in the future they can trade that exception

18:22

18 minutes, 22 seconds

away and bring players into that falsely accumulated catch space. Is that the right way? How do you explain it? Is

18:30

18 minutes, 30 seconds

that the best way? Yeah, I think look it's as close as you can get without without you know spending too much time on it. But they basically Yeah, they

18:38

18 minutes, 38 seconds

basically opened up potential in the future.

18:42

18 minutes, 42 seconds

Yeah. So I think that's a really big deal. My fake trade that I was hoping for to happen next was that then the

18:49

18 minutes, 49 seconds

Hornets would take in Jamaran into that trade exception and then be given picks to take on that salary. So then they've like double dipped on in terms of

18:58

18 minutes, 58 seconds

getting rid of LaMelo, getting in a whole bunch of draft picks, then replacing that talent with Jamar and also getting more draft picks again, but obviously we know that didn't happen. We

19:07

19 minutes, 7 seconds

can segue into that in a second. But um just really quickly on AO Dumu, I'm not super high on this guy. So he's 6'4.

19:14

19 minutes, 14 seconds

For me, that's a little bit of a tweener.

19:16

19 minutes, 16 seconds

Y and I like his game, like don't get me wrong, but I also hope that they don't sign him for too much money. like if he

19:23

19 minutes, 23 seconds

gets less than Wigan's contract, I think that would be a good outcome. But actually looking at the contract here that's on Sprack, which is fantastic.

19:35

19 minutes, 35 seconds

They're predicting 19 million 2022 and 23, which I suppose is like Wigginsesque numbers, isn't it? So

19:44

19 minutes, 44 seconds

well the cap being 40. So yeah, look, I I'm very middling on this on this

19:52

19 minutes, 52 seconds

contract and this sort of act like he was good for them last year, but I don't think he's like $23 million a year good.

19:59

19 minutes, 59 seconds

That's my sort of gut feeling in that space.

20:01

20 minutes, 1 second

Yeah, look, he's just a very serviceable player. I mean, like over at Chicago, he was pretty decent, you know, and he came over and joined um and had some instant

20:10

20 minutes, 10 seconds

impact over at Minnesota as well, cuz it just it became too much of an Ant-Man carry the ball show. And so like, you

20:18

20 minutes, 18 seconds

know, when you put when you put LaMelo Ball next to Ant-Man next to like the Sumu and McDaniels, it becomes much more

20:25

20 minutes, 25 seconds

harder to guard them as a team when it's just like when it's just one guy holding the ball. It's kind of like, okay, well, we kind of know what we got to do, you

20:33

20 minutes, 33 seconds

know, but when you've got like a floor general like B who sees the court, you know, at an more than elite level, you know, it becomes a guessing game

20:41

20 minutes, 41 seconds

now. It's like what's who's what's he going to do? Is he going to lob it? Is he going to pass it? Is he going to shoot it himself? Or is he going to like create something for Ant-Man? And

20:49

20 minutes, 49 seconds

it gives Ant-Man somebody that, you know, are finally a robin to his Batman.

20:54

20 minutes, 54 seconds

He's a dynamic playmaker. Oh, he really Look, I really I I told you last time last year like Charlotte was my league

21:02

21 minutes, 2 seconds

pass team last year and they did not disappoint me.

21:07

21 minutes, 7 seconds

I think we have to talk a little bit about values here because I think potentially this will affect Anthony Edwards and I think this is going to

21:14

21 minutes, 14 seconds

definitely impact LaMelo Ball and the very very early signs of this. He's already ticked up.

21:21

21 minutes, 21 seconds

Yeah, he's about 100 bucks already.

21:25

21 minutes, 25 seconds

Well, they they paid him. They It's What's interesting is that there was they were they were both from the same draft class, weren't they?

21:32

21 minutes, 32 seconds

So, it's just kind of like it's pretty crazy to have these two guys join and they're pretty much reaching their primes. They're getting close to their

21:40

21 minutes, 40 seconds

primes now. So, like you get to see two, you know, two great talents join together in their prime. Um and yeah, young and exciting pair, too.

21:51

21 minutes, 51 seconds

Yeah. Look, I'm I'm really happy that LaMelo Ball's value is going up because I think a lot of people put a heap of money into this guy. So, if people can

22:01

22 minutes, 1 second

now recoup back some of that money, you know, as his value sort of goes up a bit, people start to get a bit more excited about it because he is now going

22:09

22 minutes, 9 seconds

into to a contender. Like, this isn't just sort of a middling Eastern Conference team. Like, this is going to be a legit contender in the West next year. So, I think this is going to be

22:18

22 minutes, 18 seconds

very very positive for his value. And so I think if you're holding him and you want to get rid of it,

22:26

22 minutes, 26 seconds

begin to get yourself ready to move these cards off. The question is, should you be buying into him and then looking to flip at the end of the year when the playoffs come around? Like you could

22:34

22 minutes, 34 seconds

also make a pretty strong argument for that, too. I think this people love this type of stuff. I think in terms of

22:43

22 minutes, 43 seconds

a good thing for the hobby. This is the hobby dream, isn't it? Having these two guys together.

22:48

22 minutes, 48 seconds

Yeah. And like also like it just makes this like already pretty loaded west even more loaded. It's crazy.

22:55

22 minutes, 55 seconds

So like now now you got now now you got like even more craziness happening.

23:01

23 minutes, 1 second

Um another another decent power, you know, rising and they and Minnesota gave teams real trouble last playoff.

23:12

23 minutes, 12 seconds

Um Anthony Edwards population on this is 2285. He's actually just entered into the $1,000 club. So, congratulations to him.

23:21

23 minutes, 21 seconds

Wow.

23:21

23 minutes, 21 seconds

He's sort of been floating around that $1,000 mark for a little while now. He hasn't seen any dramatic rise just like

23:28

23 minutes, 28 seconds

LaMelo Ball has, but he is in the last month alone, he's up 20%. So,

23:36

23 minutes, 36 seconds

yeah, I think Antman was always a pretty safe Oh, like I mean out of the the money you can bank on a player playing

23:43

23 minutes, 43 seconds

right now, he was always pretty good pickup. Like I never really poo pooed anybody who's going like I'm gonna buy some Ant-Man. I'm like not bad.

23:51

23 minutes, 51 seconds

Yeah.

23:51

23 minutes, 51 seconds

You know, like he's exciting.

23:55

23 minutes, 55 seconds

Yeah. He's exciting. He's a god, you know. He's a god. He's exciting. He gets headlines. He does he does like exciting stuff. He gets highlights,

24:04

24 minutes, 4 seconds

you know, and yeah, he he I mean, the only stuff he does outside of the court is shag women and have babies. So, you know, like he's living the rockstar

24:12

24 minutes, 12 seconds

lifestyle. He's being, [laughter] you know, he's he's not he's not doing dumb dumber stuff, I guess, you know, like

24:20

24 minutes, 20 seconds

he's not he's not, you know, hitting children or like pointing guns around, you know, like he's not committing crimes. I think that's he's not committing crimes. Yeah, he's

24:27

24 minutes, 27 seconds

not committing crimes. He's just doing what athletes do.

24:33

24 minutes, 33 seconds

Look, I I think that he's going to probably keep sliding up this year. I think this very sort of steady trickle

24:40

24 minutes, 40 seconds

up that we've seen, I don't see a good reason this is going to not happen or not continue to happen.

24:50

24 minutes, 50 seconds

No, look, I'd be shocked. I'd be shocked if if anything happens to Amand values.

24:56

24 minutes, 56 seconds

I I think what my underlying concern is is like what is his peak going to be and

25:02

25 minutes, 2 seconds

at one at what point do people sort of start to unload these because they're tired of that investment cycle and they're not actually there to collect

25:11

25 minutes, 11 seconds

him anymore. I think that's the part in the back of my head where I'm not too sure about. But I think I was so wrong

25:18

25 minutes, 18 seconds

about SGA. I was very wrong about Jaylen Brunson. And maybe you just have to just ride with it until something terrible happens until he has a terrible injury

25:26

25 minutes, 26 seconds

or he does commit a terrible crime. And until that point, you know, he's been not injuryprone. steady.

25:33

25 minutes, 33 seconds

I mean, like probably the last time we saw a real big surge was probably last year's, like the the year before's finals where he had that, you know, that

25:41

25 minutes, 41 seconds

real crazy run and he was playing absolutely on fire.

25:47

25 minutes, 47 seconds

Um, 25, I think that's what you're referring to. There was a very steady uptick there.

25:53

25 minutes, 53 seconds

That was the That was the He's the Michael Jordan's baby. He is the he is the you know he's like he's Michael Jordan's son and he's the second coming

26:01

26 minutes, 1 second

of MJ uh uh peak. We didn't get to see that this year. Minnesota he was mainly injured. He was mainly hobbled. He had

26:09

26 minutes, 9 seconds

some he still had some amazing moments but he was still very hobbled from that knee injury that was just a freak accident. Like he was balling.

26:20

26 minutes, 20 seconds

So already on today's show we've covered Giannis trade. We've covered the LaMelo Bald trade. We have not covered the LeBron James free agency announcement.

26:30

26 minutes, 30 seconds

And before we even get to that, we're going to get to something bigger, which is the Jamaran trade. So, just a fun fun off season so far.

26:39

26 minutes, 39 seconds

It's been an amazing trade season. I mean, when we when you when we when I approached you about this idea of talking about it was originally going to

26:46

26 minutes, 46 seconds

be a draft show. [laughter] We haven't mentioned anything about the draft and then and then um and then you know

26:53

26 minutes, 53 seconds

all this craziness went down and in between that time even more trades happened. Uh so yeah so I guess we

27:02

27 minutes, 2 seconds

should probably move on to the Jarant movement right which is 100%. Yeah which is what the Jarant goes to the blazers for Jeremy Grant and Chris

27:11

27 minutes, 11 seconds

Murray and no picks whatsoever were moved.

27:17

27 minutes, 17 seconds

So the rumors behind that is that teams were asking Memphis to give them draft

27:24

27 minutes, 24 seconds

equity. So in terms of this trade here, it's actually a win for Memphis because they haven't had to give up equity to

27:31

27 minutes, 31 seconds

get rid of this guy. So that sort of explains the draft the lack of draft assets being moved

27:39

27 minutes, 39 seconds

considering what we just saw with his value just went just crated almost you know like this was a guy who's two-time allstar

27:48

27 minutes, 48 seconds

you know peak of his powers probably what like two years ago when they made that playoff run. Yeah, maybe even three years ago now, that

27:55

27 minutes, 55 seconds

playoff run, um, they were that was like the the good old days of Memphis where

28:02

28 minutes, 2 seconds

they had him, Jiren Jack, Triple J, um, they had Dylan Brooks, and they had Bane.

28:11

28 minutes, 11 seconds

And I don't think they've actually been able to return ever since that fateful run where they were good in the West.

28:19

28 minutes, 19 seconds

Did you hear last week's episode that we did with David Love? Yes.

28:24

28 minutes, 24 seconds

So, I asked him about his injury history and what should we be worried about. Yeah.

28:30

28 minutes, 30 seconds

He actually didn't give me anything that was going to make me super worried. The guy that he actually was like, "Oh, that's a bit

28:39

28 minutes, 39 seconds

that's a bit of a worry was was Zion." So, yeah.

28:44

28 minutes, 44 seconds

Um I actually think healthwise it's not going to be an issue. I got to tell you, man. I think

28:51

28 minutes, 51 seconds

there was a lot going on between the coach and the team. It wasn't just a Jarant thing last year. I I think there was a lot going on.

29:01

29 minutes, 1 second

Yeah. Oh, man. Like that that bench was so fractured. Uh it was not funny. I I Yeah. I've never seen a team that was

29:10

29 minutes, 10 seconds

just there was just no hype. There was just no love on the court anymore.

29:14

29 minutes, 14 seconds

And if it does come out that there was a rift between the coach and Jarant and the Grizzlies organization went with the coach

29:23

29 minutes, 23 seconds

and I predicted this last year cuz I actually saw one of their games and the whole body language and the sets they were running for Jar and just everything

29:31

29 minutes, 31 seconds

was just it it's not a it was never going to be a good fit. I think the personality of Tumas is just not right

29:39

29 minutes, 39 seconds

for Jaran and what he needs and the sense. Yeah. Just I don't want to go back through it again, but

29:47

29 minutes, 47 seconds

honestly I I want to hear the the locker room scuttlebutt around that. I I really do.

29:55

29 minutes, 55 seconds

And if that is the case Yeah. And if that's the case, like the general manager has to be fired. cannot pick this coach who is not really that

30:04

30 minutes, 4 seconds

proven at all over Jamaran. It's just insanity. Talent wins. Head coaches are great. They don't win.

30:14

30 minutes, 14 seconds

Well, they have. And uh that this gives um this gives Blazers a pretty pretty tidy lineup of Morant, Abdia, Lilid, Scoot, and Klingan.

30:24

30 minutes, 24 seconds

Yeah. So, uh, you know, kudos to our friend, um, to our friend Big Al for [laughter] sticking to his, uh, his Scoot his Scoot pickups.

30:34

30 minutes, 34 seconds

I mean, is Scoot and Jarant going to be playing at the same time? Because actually, I think if anyone's going to be saying R, it's going to be Scoot Collectors. I think that's a terrible thing.

30:42

30 minutes, 42 seconds

Scoot can come off the bench as a sixth man.

30:46

30 minutes, 46 seconds

Um, he can he definitely played meaningful minutes last year. Like, he just come off and microwave, get 10, 15. Yeah.

30:54

30 minutes, 54 seconds

You know, and his shooting has improved, his shooting has improved. Yeah.

30:57

30 minutes, 57 seconds

His health has improved. He's just he's just more steady out there, you know, like, you know, having watched a lot of Blazers games this season. Uh they were

31:06

31 minutes, 6 seconds

my number two um League Pass team this year and just watching the growth of ADIA and and Scoot um come together.

31:14

31 minutes, 14 seconds

That was, you know, that was pretty fun. So, shout out in the Instagram comments.

31:19

31 minutes, 19 seconds

Rosco let's go jailblazers 2.0. Do you think that that's a risk of happening?

31:24

31 minutes, 24 seconds

They're gonna have a Jailblazers 2.0 scenario. [laughter] Not not quite. You can't you can't uh

31:34

31 minutes, 34 seconds

you can't you can't match the uh the the Rasheed Wallace era Jailblazers. Um that was something special.

31:43

31 minutes, 43 seconds

I agree with you. I think looking down that roster, there's no one else there that's actually got behavioral issues at all. Drew Holiday is an outstanding citizen.

31:52

31 minutes, 52 seconds

You've heard nothing bad about Scoot.

31:53

31 minutes, 53 seconds

You got Clingani is Denny is clean. Damian Lillard is the epitome of a professional.

32:03

32 minutes, 3 seconds

Yeah.

32:04

32 minutes, 4 seconds

And Shaden Sharp, I've heard nothing bad about this kid either. So, look, I actually think the Blazers have done a really good job of retooling this

32:12

32 minutes, 12 seconds

roster. I think the Denny Arja pick was an absolute steal. I think Kamar is going to be a fantastic NBA pro. Yep.

32:19

32 minutes, 19 seconds

Clingen looks like a pretty serviceable big. Young Hansen seems to be pretty talented and you know he could go sort of either way between a bench player and a starter.

32:29

32 minutes, 29 seconds

Yep.

32:30

32 minutes, 30 seconds

Lillard I think actually can coexist with Jaran. I think they'll be very very small in the back court when that happens, but it'll still be fun to see.

32:38

32 minutes, 38 seconds

Shaden Sharp has got a heap of potential. So look, it's going to be a fun roster. I didn't watch very much Blazes at all last year, man. But I I

32:46

32 minutes, 46 seconds

think there's enough here to actually tune into a couple of League Pass games this year.

32:50

32 minutes, 50 seconds

I mean, there was a reason why they made the play in and they actually managed to do a little bit of damage uh on the way on the way through. You know, they managed to get their way into the

32:58

32 minutes, 58 seconds

finals. You know, albeit they had to play the Spurs first, but you know, when you say it like that, they're a playing team and then you add

33:05

33 minutes, 5 seconds

Jarant to them. That's actually it's pretty juicy, isn't it? When you say that, it'll be fun. [snorts] So the public sentiments actually swung

33:13

33 minutes, 13 seconds

already. So he is up from $185. His last two sales was $2.88 and 291. So

33:22

33 minutes, 22 seconds

obviously there's a bit of positive public sentiment there. Is this the moment in time where you're buying into Jarant, mate?

33:31

33 minutes, 31 seconds

Look, I would have bought before the upswing. Um I was definitely buying a little bit when he basically hit rock bottom. I think I was I think I joined a

33:40

33 minutes, 40 seconds

few people and I think even even a few times before that you know I always believe in buying in the dip and Jamron was definitely one of them. He didn't

33:48

33 minutes, 48 seconds

get hurt so badly that he just doing dumb stuff you know like when he first got suspended it was just dumb stuff. He

33:56

33 minutes, 56 seconds

didn't go get hurt. He didn't you know it didn't affect his uh but then he eventually got injured. Uh, and that's when it started to worry me a little bit

34:03

34 minutes, 3 seconds

because players like him who are so dynamic who rely on their dunking ability, you know, injuries to the knee, injuries to the ankle, injuries to the

34:12

34 minutes, 12 seconds

foot, you know, like that's the kind of stuff that scares you when you're collecting jar.

34:18

34 minutes, 18 seconds

I think the concern is valid, but has the pendulum swung too far the opposite way? And I think they just been I think people

34:27

34 minutes, 27 seconds

just been hungry. I think like I think like people people have been waiting on J like the people who've held on to J have been waiting for this moment

34:35

34 minutes, 35 seconds

and they are probably using this opportunity now to recoup some money that they lost.

34:40

34 minutes, 40 seconds

Yeah. And that's totally fine. I just I think for example so at the moment he's trading at $290.

34:47

34 minutes, 47 seconds

Denny Arja is not in the card ladder ladder system. So I'm just using the sales feature here but 300 285 280.

34:56

34 minutes, 56 seconds

Yeah, he's technically more expensive than Jamaran is. So, I think in that instance, you can make the argument that he probably is a little bit undervalued

35:04

35 minutes, 4 seconds

at the moment, but if you're asking me who I've got my eye on on this roster, it's Denny. I think this guy is an absolute stud. He is such a hard worker,

35:13

35 minutes, 13 seconds

man. You can't help but get behind and, you know, feel good watching this kid play. I I think there's a lot to like about this guy.

35:21

35 minutes, 21 seconds

He was one of my favorites to watch last year. I mean, he just puts his head down. I was actually worried that WBY when they played that Spurs series, I was worried that he would get a bit

35:29

35 minutes, 29 seconds

exposed because his game was attacked the ring and you know and attack and attack the paint and like you know what

35:36

35 minutes, 36 seconds

happens when you attack the paint and there's a 7 foot five monster waiting for you and he showed that he could still get the job done.

35:43

35 minutes, 43 seconds

Yeah, he's an absolute beast, isn't he? Yep.

35:46

35 minutes, 46 seconds

All righty, man. Next up, we are going to talk about the Toronto Raptors and the Kai Leonard trade. He's back. He's back, baby.

35:58

35 minutes, 58 seconds

I I love I like I like I was actually kind of quietly smiling when this happened again. I thought I was actually like was was my NBA feed kind of like

36:07

36 minutes, 7 seconds

broken? Did I kind of like step back in time and and it kind of just showed me flashback um trades and then I realized

36:16

36 minutes, 16 seconds

that actually was a real trade. He's actually gone back to uh Toronto and the Clippers will receive Brandon Ingram,

36:24

36 minutes, 24 seconds

Grady Dick, uh two unprotected first round picks in 20 in 31 and 2033 and a

36:31

36 minutes, 31 seconds

pick swap in 2027 and two second round picks. So, not a bad little haul for Kawi Leonard.

36:39

36 minutes, 39 seconds

So, I think my question to you is why like why are the Clippers doing this trade and why is the Raptors doing this trade? What's your take on that?

36:47

36 minutes, 47 seconds

I [snorts] think look the Raptors the Raptors felt that they were that they were close last year. They felt, you know, close to what though? Like I don't know about that.

36:56

36 minutes, 56 seconds

They played a lot better than people expected to be honest. Like they they they were reason they were well balanced team. Three like three stars all

37:05

37 minutes, 5 seconds

coexisting all like RJ Barrett, Barnes and and Ingram all had decent numbers.

37:12

37 minutes, 12 seconds

They were all like in the high teens.

37:14

37 minutes, 14 seconds

They were very they were a very hard team to kind of pin down and stop offensively when everyone scores, you

37:22

37 minutes, 22 seconds

know. Um, so I think they made this move because well, it worked for them last time when they had Kawaii in the in the

37:29

37 minutes, 29 seconds

building. Uh, so why not run it back again?

37:33

37 minutes, 33 seconds

And you can probably you can move off Ingram who was probably going to be a bit more expensive. Um, he's going to get a bit costly. So, and yeah, Grady

37:42

37 minutes, 42 seconds

Dick eventually he's going to get, you know, you're going to eventually have to pay Grady uh cuz he's almost out of his rookie contract. Yeah.

37:50

37 minutes, 50 seconds

I So, from my This is my perspective. I think that from the Clippers point of view, they were unloading the Quiet Leonard contract.

37:58

37 minutes, 58 seconds

Yep.

37:59

37 minutes, 59 seconds

Last year, this was probably one of my favorite stories. It actually flew a little bit under the radar. He signed a no appearance contract with a company

38:08

38 minutes, 8 seconds

that Balmer had put a whole bunch of money into. So another way of saying that is that he signs a contract with a

38:15

38 minutes, 15 seconds

company, Balmer gives them a whole bunch of money, 50 million, they keep 5 million and give 45 million to Kqu Leonard. And so

38:23

38 minutes, 23 seconds

essentially it's you're just paying an athlete under the table, which is a complete circumvention of the salary cap. And I'm actually not too sure if

38:31

38 minutes, 31 seconds

this has all been finalized yet. So potentially there'll be even though they've traded him away,

38:38

38 minutes, 38 seconds

they can still be penalized for this in the future. But I believe it's got to do with that in terms of just sort of

38:46

38 minutes, 46 seconds

removing themselves from that part. I think the other thing that the Clippers quietly did last year was get a little bit younger. And so Kai Leonard is now 35 years of age.

38:59

38 minutes, 59 seconds

Yep.

39:00

39 minutes

And that actually takes me to my next point. I don't understand why the ros the Raptors have invested into this guy when you got Scotty Barnes at 24,

39:08

39 minutes, 8 seconds

Barrett at 26, and Quickly at 27. Like, he just doesn't fit the timeline for these guys. And I don't think he's got enough left in the tank to actually push

39:17

39 minutes, 17 seconds

this team over the top. So that actually makes me think that it's more about unloading Brandon Ingram, who essentially became the scapegoat in the

39:26

39 minutes, 26 seconds

playoffs last year. I think that when you're paying somebody $40 million a year, I think that's reasonable to expect them to get 25 or 30 points in a game. And he did. He played terribly.

39:38

39 minutes, 38 seconds

But I don't think that he was the the cause of their problems last year to be honest with you. I think there was a little bit more going on with that

39:46

39 minutes, 46 seconds

roster. He was he was he was good, but he wasn't great. And I think he needed to be great.

39:54

39 minutes, 54 seconds

No, they needed him to be great, and he just wasn't great for the 40 million that they were paying him.

40:00

40 minutes

Um, so I think, look, they bring back they bring back an old favorite, they run back an old favorite. Ko Kawaii, you

40:07

40 minutes, 7 seconds

know, was supposed to, you know, get his chip and stay and, you know, he was supposed to leave. Actually, he never promised them anything. He just said, "I'm just going to come in for a year

40:15

40 minutes, 15 seconds

and get the job done." and he came in for the year, got the job done, got them a chip, and so, you know, he's a good look. He's a he's a he's a

40:23

40 minutes, 23 seconds

good vet. You know, for the minutes that I saw him play for the Clippers this year, he was definitely still, you know, still Kawaii. Um, even in the All-Star

40:32

40 minutes, 32 seconds

game, he still was Kawaii. Um, you know, one of the quite superstars in the league.

40:38

40 minutes, 38 seconds

So, look, I'm a huge fan of Kai Leonard.

40:42

40 minutes, 42 seconds

So, I think if I'm going to say this, I feel like I'm not going over the top saying this, but you can't rely on this guy anymore. He's sort of what a 45 a 50

40:52

40 minutes, 52 seconds

game a year guy. I mean, come on. We all sort of know what this this guy is at this point. So, I think I think probably Toronto are hoping that their young legs can kind of carry him

41:00

41 minutes

through the regular season and then just unlock him just before playoffs and, you know, dust off the cobwebs and go

41:08

41 minutes, 8 seconds

kawaii. just wind up that little mechanical gear and [laughter] and and kind of just let him loose in the playoffs, right?

41:15

41 minutes, 15 seconds

Let the Terminator free. Look, maybe I'm being too pessimistic about this and I need to be a bit more optimistic. I think you're right, man. I found the numbers for Brandon Ingram in the

41:23

41 minutes, 23 seconds

playoffs. So, 12 points, two turnovers, two fouls, uh6 steals, eight blocks, 2.2 assists,

41:31

41 minutes, 31 seconds

three rebounds. It's all pretty anemic stuff. It's nothing that you're going to write home about. 328%

41:38

41 minutes, 38 seconds

from the field, 38 from three, 73.9 from the free throw line. Like it's it's pretty average stuff, isn't it? When you're paying a guy 40 million,

41:47

41 minutes, 47 seconds

you've got Yeah. Like you've got like some highlights. Well, so some some serious lowlights between some, you know, middling games. Like he was five

41:54

41 minutes, 54 seconds

of nine, 17 points, then three of 15 for seven, then five of nine again for 12, and then six of 23 for 23. And then the

42:03

42 minutes, 3 seconds

piece to resistance zero of two for one point, but he only played 11 minutes.

42:09

42 minutes, 9 seconds

So, you know, can't really That's fair.

42:11

42 minutes, 11 seconds

That's fair at that point. Yeah.

42:13

42 minutes, 13 seconds

Yeah. I'm just like I was just like, "Yeah, you can't do much." Uh, have we covered everything on that?

42:19

42 minutes, 19 seconds

I think I think so. I think the uh Look, the jury will be is still out on whether this is going to be a good trade or not.

42:26

42 minutes, 26 seconds

Um, but I think it does kind of fill two gaps for two things. a scapegoat uh in Brandon Ingram and Clippers can put some distance between themselves and Kawaii.

42:36

42 minutes, 36 seconds

Yeah. Look, honestly, does anyone really like care about this trade ultimately of everything that's happening? Probably not so much. This will go right under the radar until we start next season.

42:47

42 minutes, 47 seconds

Yeah. I I think there's going to be some fans out there that don't even realize that Ingram's on the Clippers.

42:53

42 minutes, 53 seconds

No. Or they even realize that he was even on Toronto.

42:58

42 minutes, 58 seconds

[laughter]

43:01

43 minutes, 1 second

All right. You want to talk about the Grizzlies roster? Do you want to talk about the Grizzlies roster or should we talk about LeBron James at this point?

43:08

43 minutes, 8 seconds

Uh, look, I think I think look, I think we should talk about LeBron. I think it wouldn't be fair to LeBron and what he's, you know, um, if we if we skip him

43:16

43 minutes, 16 seconds

and talk about the Grizz. Um, but yeah, he's he's uh he's finally said goodbye to the Lakers. Uh, he's told them,

43:24

43 minutes, 24 seconds

"Look, I'm not." He didn't do a TV special, though. So, I'm a little bit disappointed with him, to be honest. Man, he kind Look, he got his he got his agent to do the job. He told Rich Paul,

43:33

43 minutes, 33 seconds

"Hey, tell them I'm not coming back." And he's not coming back.

43:38

43 minutes, 38 seconds

Um, but but in true dad fashion, he managed to secure his son the bag beforehand, though. That's [laughter] right.

43:45

43 minutes, 45 seconds

He managed to get Brody James one last contract guarantee of 2.3 million before he walked out the door. Yeah, that was

43:53

43 minutes, 53 seconds

actually really well played by the LeBron James family. All righty. So, I think at this point there's nothing really to report here. This is all just

44:01

44 minutes, 1 second

pure speculation. So, my question to you is going to be what's your top three favorite landing spots for this guy and

44:09

44 minutes, 9 seconds

and why? I mean, look, it it a pairing with Curry has always been in the has been in the hopes for a lot of people

44:17

44 minutes, 17 seconds

because we see them play in the All-Star game in the uh All-Star games and in team USA so many years.

44:24

44 minutes, 24 seconds

We know that Draymond and LeBron have got business ties together and they hang out socially. So, yeah, I agree with you. That's that's on my list. Yeah, they're buddies, man. And then like I

44:32

44 minutes, 32 seconds

think look even even Dre not Draymond not taking his like he didn't opt in on his player option which was a sizable

44:39

44 minutes, 39 seconds

chunk for a guy his age like 27.6 million he turned that down be a free agent.

44:46

44 minutes, 46 seconds

I heard part of his podcast today he actually said that he did that on purpose to give the franchise flexibility and a chance to retool. And

44:55

44 minutes, 55 seconds

so he basically just said like this, the way I interpret that was like they've done so much for me. I'm going to do something for the team. Like

45:03

45 minutes, 3 seconds

I love that stuff so much. And it actually takes me back to when Gary Payton, Carl Malone signed for a minimum contract and go to the Lakers just to

45:12

45 minutes, 12 seconds

make a juggernaut team. They never won the championship, but just the fact that they would actually do that to give themselves the opportunity like that stuff just speaks to me on such a level.

45:22

45 minutes, 22 seconds

It's like sacrif like Yeah. just kind of the humbling of of these great giants, right? Yeah.

45:26

45 minutes, 26 seconds

We I love that too, you know, like I love the I love the stories of the players who come from nowhere like the Alvarados of the league who've just like

45:35

45 minutes, 35 seconds

come from nothing, you know, and get to You're referring to Draymond being a second round pick. Is that what you're talking about?

45:42

45 minutes, 42 seconds

Yeah, like Draymond was a second round pick. No one expected much out of him.

45:46

45 minutes, 46 seconds

Came on to become one of the most defensive, you know, one of the most defensive, fiercely defensive players in the league. one of the best. Um, very

45:53

45 minutes, 53 seconds

cerebral player, high IQ, and yeah, very well respected.

45:59

45 minutes, 59 seconds

Yeah. All right. Lakers is your first pick. What have you got your two other picks?

46:04

46 minutes, 4 seconds

I wouldn't mind. Look, I think I think at this stage it's nostalgia, right?

46:07

46 minutes, 7 seconds

you're either thinking a back to South Beach situation where he can he can ultimately go join you know Giannis and

46:15

46 minutes, 15 seconds

Bam and be and you know it just depends for how much though like like yes we've all talked about LeBron having made his millions.

46:26

46 minutes, 26 seconds

Um how much would he sign for? Like would he do a vet minimum to join a team that's a contender? I've just look every

46:33

46 minutes, 33 seconds

every angle has told me no he won't do that. So, he went about this on his podcast today.

46:40

46 minutes, 40 seconds

He said that LeBron hasn't asked for a dollar figure. He's seeking happiness, which implies that he will take less money to make it happen. Yeah.

46:49

46 minutes, 49 seconds

Okay. Well, you know, I'll look I'll wait to see that because like he's he's opted in in every opportunity to make money.

46:55

46 minutes, 55 seconds

Um he look every every turn he's always chosen the money. You know, he's had opportunity at the Lakers. I remember, you know, talking to ads about it, too.

47:04

47 minutes, 4 seconds

like it was, you know, like he said, he's always put the financial benefit of his family first before the team.

47:11

47 minutes, 11 seconds

Um, I haven't seen him sacrifice yet.

47:14

47 minutes, 14 seconds

So, I'll wait to see if he does, but if he does, Miami would be the perfect place for that. you know, take a take

47:21

47 minutes, 21 seconds

less money to go join Giannis and Bam where you've got two real, you know, juggernaut centers and bigs that he can

47:29

47 minutes, 29 seconds

just lob to that he could just pass the ball off to. And he's also got two other strong vets in THJ, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Wiggins on the wings.

47:38

47 minutes, 38 seconds

Um, and yeah, Davon Mitchell to back it all up.

47:43

47 minutes, 43 seconds

Number two, you got one more or that's it?

47:46

47 minutes, 46 seconds

I look number three. The other the other thing that has been popping up is obviously just the nostalgia tour is once again go back to Cleveland where it

47:52

47 minutes, 52 seconds

all began. Um you know Oakland is where his heart is and he has been proudly repping Oakland. Um there has been talks

48:01

48 minutes, 1 second

that you know was it uh James Harden has been you know waiting to sign his deals

48:08

48 minutes, 8 seconds

make his deals um in anticipation for you know making space for for for James to land first. Uh, so yeah, this would

48:16

48 minutes, 16 seconds

it'll be a nostalgia. I would not see him going anywhere else. I mean, what, New York? But that just doesn't make sense to go to New York.

48:26

48 minutes, 26 seconds

Yeah, they're stacked already, right?

48:27

48 minutes, 27 seconds

They're stacked already. They don't really need him. But like a team like Cleveland who got a pretty good team, you know, you got Donovan Mitchell, you've got Harden, you've also got a

48:36

48 minutes, 36 seconds

pretty good center, you know, backup center, you know, centers in Jared Allen and Evan Mobley. um they haven't made

48:42

48 minutes, 42 seconds

any moves yet. So they they very very potentially have the ammo and the and the and the parts to make it happen.

48:53

48 minutes, 53 seconds

Yeah. So I like your choices, but I've gone in a bit of a different direction.

48:58

48 minutes, 58 seconds

I've gone more for like f like fantasy sort of options. I think yours are very logical, by the way, so I got no troubles with it.

49:05

49 minutes, 5 seconds

Uh the first one, Golden State, that was on my list, so that's done and dusted.

49:09

49 minutes, 9 seconds

My second pick is the Denver Nuggets because can you imagine the IQ on the court of Yokic and LeBron at the same

49:16

49 minutes, 16 seconds

time? I just think that would be the most amazing duo to play together.

49:21

49 minutes, 21 seconds

Like imagine those two running a pick and roll together. Like that would just be it could still happen. I mean there was chitter chatter. There was chitter

49:29

49 minutes, 29 seconds

chatter about was it a Jaylen Brown to to Denver for Murray. Um Murray hasn't been dealt off yet. Uh there is room on the board for a Denver a Denver move.

49:42

49 minutes, 42 seconds

I actually I don't mind that trade at all. That's a really good trade because the Nuggets need extra athleticism so bad. That would be actually quite nice.

49:50

49 minutes, 50 seconds

Yeah. Uh and then also a reliable a reliable scorer like like Murray is a great is a good scorer but he's not reliable. Like he'll have a

49:59

49 minutes, 59 seconds

game of 40 points and then the next game he'll drop 12, you know? Like, I just need you to drop your 20 and just be steady [laughter] for like, you know,

50:08

50 minutes, 8 seconds

and just be steady. I don't care about you dropping 50 points and then giving me seven. I need you to Okay, just give me 20 every game, man.

50:16

50 minutes, 16 seconds

I probably like him as a scorer better than Brown. Actually, I find Brown a little bit clunky and sort of robotic,

50:24

50 minutes, 24 seconds

but maybe it'll be great around Yoki because Yoki would just set him up all the time.

50:28

50 minutes, 28 seconds

You need somebody steady. He He want Look, Yic needs somebody steady. He deserves somebody steady uh next to him.

50:35

50 minutes, 35 seconds

And yeah, like if if they land Brown and then like LeBron goes, "Oh, giddy up, you know, like you guys need a forward

50:42

50 minutes, 42 seconds

to help fill that gap, you know, that'd be awesome." You then you'd have Brown, LeBron, and Jokic. Yeah, that'd be sweet team.

50:51

50 minutes, 51 seconds

Like if you're talking fantasy, that's a that'd be a fun one.

50:54

50 minutes, 54 seconds

Yeah, that's super fun. And just hear me out on this one here. San Antonio Spurs, right?

50:59

50 minutes, 59 seconds

Yep. I think he would be a good fit because they've got a massive hole at power forward. I think we can both agree on that.

51:07

51 minutes, 7 seconds

They're a young team that's very very good and he could go in there as this sort of like old mentor that knows how

51:15

51 minutes, 15 seconds

to play the game, teach them how to work out, how to do their rehab and recovery.

51:20

51 minutes, 20 seconds

they would carry most of the regular season load and then he would just play for the most important 15 20 minutes a

51:29

51 minutes, 29 seconds

game of every single playoff game, right? Yep.

51:33

51 minutes, 33 seconds

I think that he would be fantastic front court pairing with WBY. I think he would do really well with a pick and roll say

51:40

51 minutes, 40 seconds

with with Fox and I think he and Dylan Harper would be super fun playing off each other too. So

51:48

51 minutes, 48 seconds

I think if he went to the Spurs on the minimum that would be amazing.

51:52

51 minutes, 52 seconds

Well, this this speaks to the was it the if Chris Paul was there this year, he would have been that kind of there was that chatter about how if Chris Paul was

52:01

52 minutes, 1 second

there, he would have been there to kind of control the team and help, you know, control their their their panic and, you know, kind of help them guide them

52:09

52 minutes, 9 seconds

through the finals. And if Paul was there, he would have led them to the finals and finished it and got the job done. Um, LeBron, LeBron very much equal

52:18

52 minutes, 18 seconds

parts, you know, very high intelligent player. Um, won't turn over the ball in key moments, which is what they were kind of lacking. They, you know, when

52:27

52 minutes, 27 seconds

when Fox didn't quite get the job done, you know, you you you really start to reach for another elder statesman that

52:34

52 minutes, 34 seconds

could help balance the boat when the waves are rocking. Yeah, it was tough to watch last year.

52:41

52 minutes, 41 seconds

It was not not to open you wounds for you, but But, you know, like like look, I like I don't mind this if they I'm just going to turn off my camera for

52:49

52 minutes, 49 seconds

a second. Just dry my eyes. Weak for a few seconds. But like look, it's a great it's a it's a great if they can afford

52:56

52 minutes, 56 seconds

it. I mean, look, once again, if if if he's willing to take pay cuts and and

53:03

53 minutes, 3 seconds

kind of pick his landing spot, you know, where would he do the most damage? And look, honestly, like Denver would be

53:11

53 minutes, 11 seconds

great pairing him with Jokic Brown. Um, San Antonio would be great. All that youth to carry him, you know. Um, Miami would be great. A

53:20

53 minutes, 20 seconds

reunion in South Beach, you know, Cleveland would be I think, look, all of them are very viable. He's got he's got

53:27

53 minutes, 27 seconds

and look, he hasn't even said that this is his last season. So, we might even get to play this game again end of next year. He can't do it again, can he?

53:36

53 minutes, 36 seconds

He's a machine, man. He's still He was still top Well, I'd say I'd argue he was potentially top 10 last year still.

53:43

53 minutes, 43 seconds

very, you know, very easily still a top 10 player last year. It's crazy. He's 41.

53:52

53 minutes, 52 seconds

It's just nuts, isn't it?

53:53

53 minutes, 53 seconds

He puts us all to shame. He Yeah. Yeah. Definitely.

53:56

53 minutes, 56 seconds

He puts us all He's not that much. Yeah.

53:59

53 minutes, 59 seconds

I'm not that much older than him, but I can barely walk around anymore. It's It's insane what this guy's doing. All right, that's enough about LeBron James

54:06

54 minutes, 6 seconds

and his potential landing spots. You want to talk about the Grizzlies roster?

54:09

54 minutes, 9 seconds

Let's do that for five minutes and then we can probably tie this bad boy off.

54:13

54 minutes, 13 seconds

Man, look, it was a it was it was a nice and neat one. They they basically, you know, obviously move off Jar, move off of the

54:20

54 minutes, 20 seconds

Jar era. Um, that's the last piece of that playoff running Grizzlies team and they go off and they go pick up this

54:28

54 minutes, 28 seconds

is basically the rebuild era. Um, so now they've got, you know, uh, this is a full-blown rebuild. It's going to be ugly this year. I I don't know how

54:37

54 minutes, 37 seconds

much. Yeah, this is going to be a tough one to watch um in Memphis this year. But, you know, they go off and they get the third round

54:44

54 minutes, 44 seconds

pick in in Cam Booza. Uh who was pretty much of the draft most ready like of the

54:52

54 minutes, 52 seconds

most of the NBA draft, the most ready player like ready to go, can kind of do every he can do everything. He does everything well, you know.

55:00

55 minutes

I watched no college so I'm taking your word for this man. Yeah.

55:03

55 minutes, 3 seconds

You know, he did everything well. Like he was just steady. He wasn't like he didn't have the highest roof like he didn't have the highest ceiling of the draft. Yeah.

55:10

55 minutes, 10 seconds

But he definitely he's definitely one of those kind of players who he brings he brings the base up for for Grizzlies who desperately need

55:19

55 minutes, 19 seconds

you know some some form of base really because they have no foundation to build off right now. Um so they got they got

55:26

55 minutes, 26 seconds

Camboozer to help be their new superstar. Um they've also got, you know, one of that def, you know, your

55:33

55 minutes, 33 seconds

defensive um boy in coward um who was who had a great season last year. Um just to cut you off,

55:41

55 minutes, 41 seconds

he's already already the early betting favorite to win rookie of the year at plus 240.

55:47

55 minutes, 47 seconds

He's steady. Like I said, he just kind of gets he does makes sense.

55:51

55 minutes, 51 seconds

He's on a roster that's got so much opportunity to make shots and create shots. And if he's coming in as the most NBA ready

55:59

55 minutes, 59 seconds

guy, it's almost the ball's going to be in his hands straight away. Like it's not it's not a question of when he's ready for it. The

56:07

56 minutes, 7 seconds

the question it will be welcome to the Grizzlies. Here's the rock and just just take it, you know.

56:14

56 minutes, 14 seconds

Man, I think they're going to have trouble getting the ball up the court and starting offense. Like Cedric Cow is not a great ball handler. Nope.

56:21

56 minutes, 21 seconds

Scotty Pippen Jr. is a okay point guard.

56:24

56 minutes, 24 seconds

He's not fantastic. I think Ty Jerome is the safest guy so far I've spoken about.

56:29

56 minutes, 29 seconds

I think Jaylen Wells, they're going to want to create offense with him, but he is going to struggle with consistency and turning the ball over. Like I I like

56:38

56 minutes, 38 seconds

Jaylen Wells, but he is not a steady hand by any metric at all.

56:43

56 minutes, 43 seconds

Yep. And then they've also added in Isaiah Stewart. Beef Stew joins the fry.

56:49

56 minutes, 49 seconds

What was that with Beef Stew leaving the Pistons? What did you think about that?

56:54

56 minutes, 54 seconds

Look, I think I think they would they I mean like they they they they're not they kind of what they lowballed Duran

57:01

57 minutes, 1 second

so we don't know where Duran's landing yet. Um I think this was kind of like the Detroit Pistons going like you guys

57:08

57 minutes, 8 seconds

stank up the joint and you know these are these are going to be our scapegoats for last year and they're gonna you know

57:16

57 minutes, 16 seconds

Isaiah Stewart and Duran are the ones that are going to get you know going to get the axe for their disappointment.

57:23

57 minutes, 23 seconds

You know, like I hope that's I hope that's not the case. I think that wasn't the cause of their season ending.

57:32

57 minutes, 32 seconds

Well, like was it was be like like Duran just had a lackluster finals. Just absolutely lackluster finals.

57:39

57 minutes, 39 seconds

Yeah, sure. But [clears throat] that's was just a backup. Like he he you can't really blame him. He just kind of comes in and gets the job done, right? He

57:46

57 minutes, 46 seconds

didn't do anything crazy either in this playoff. I was waiting for it, but nothing nothing insane.

57:53

57 minutes, 53 seconds

I just think he's just a explosion waiting to happen. He's just like a powder keg waiting to explode that guy.

57:58

57 minutes, 58 seconds

I'm not surprised they traded him and like moved him away. I We've quickly segueed onto the Pistons. So, they actually picked up Isaiah Joe from

58:06

58 minutes, 6 seconds

Oklahoma City Thunder for literally nothing. Just a pair of seconds. Yeah, I think this is actually something you almost have to keep an eye on because

58:14

58 minutes, 14 seconds

that Thunder team is so stacked, they actually need to give away good young players just to make room for the next first round draft pick that's coming in.

58:23

58 minutes, 23 seconds

So, I think Iso Joe is going to be awesome on that team and that's exactly what that Pistons team needs. Like another good young guard that can defend

58:31

58 minutes, 31 seconds

and can shoot and so like that to me is just an absolute home run for the Pistons and that's what I think they just need to keep doing. They just need

58:39

58 minutes, 39 seconds

to keep building this roster up. And I don't think um making Jiren the scapegoat is going to fix their problems.

58:46

58 minutes, 46 seconds

They They kind of needed I was They need more talent.

58:49

58 minutes, 49 seconds

Yeah, I was surprised. I guess they just didn't want to pay him more. I don't know what the price was.

58:54

58 minutes, 54 seconds

Like you just never know what the negotiating price was. Like was Duran asking for the max? And they were like, "No, you're definitely not worth the max." You know, like

59:02

59 minutes, 2 seconds

actually I don't disagree with that. But I think what my point is though is like you just rewind back 12 months. If you had have said, "Oh, the Pistons were the

59:09

59 minutes, 9 seconds

the best team in the Eastern Conference in the regular season." You would have said, "Oh, that's fantastic." Like, what? You know, congratulations. What a great year. But somehow it's actually

59:17

59 minutes, 17 seconds

gone, "Oh, no, that now that's not good enough.

59:21

59 minutes, 21 seconds

We're going to during the scapegoat." And it's Yeah, they kind of folded it up, right?

59:25

59 minutes, 25 seconds

They kind of like, "Oh, let's just pack up our toys and, you know, ship you guys off and we're done with this run." Like, they had I don't know.

59:32

59 minutes, 32 seconds

You know, I was I was Look, I was surprised. I was very surprised that Duran isn't sticking like you know that that deal fell apart and they couldn't

59:39

59 minutes, 39 seconds

make it happen. Um look we'll we'll wait and see but like Detroit was definitely one of the uh one of one of the surprise

59:47

59 minutes, 47 seconds

rises last year. Um it just so happened that in the finals they got exposed like it just very you know it was just very obvious they

59:55

59 minutes, 55 seconds

struggled to score. And so like by adding Isaiah Joe who is a steady scorer, good shooter, someone that Kade

1:00:03

1 hour, 3 seconds

can pass to on the wings and you know now you're starting to build around Cade in a really smart way.

1:00:13

1 hour, 13 seconds

So he was basically asking for a max and they're offering him 30 million bucks a year. I suppose that is a big difference in in cash, isn't it?

1:00:22

1 hour, 22 seconds

Yeah. [snorts] I mean look like if you can pay him 30, fine. I I look that's reasonable, right, for what he did. He was he was a regular season

1:00:31

1 hour, 31 seconds

great player. Like he was 20 and 10 guaranteed and then he got to the finals and he forgot how to rebound and he forgot how to score.

1:00:40

1 hour, 40 seconds

Okay, fine. I'm changing my mind on this. I'm with the Pistons on this one.

1:00:44

1 hour, 44 seconds

Yeah, you can't pay that guy the max, can you? That's just gonna be mediocre.

1:00:48

1 hour, 48 seconds

Yeah, you know, you can't give him the max after that. Like if he if he could just show that he could like like Rudy Gobear go on the court, play defense and be a

1:00:57

1 hour, 57 seconds

defensive monster, fine. Okay, you might have a case for for for your max, right? But he did neither.

1:01:05

1 hour, 1 minute, 5 seconds

He He didn't do either. Like I was just like at least score. Don't play defense, fine. Just score. Just give us 20 points. Give us, you know, but he

1:01:14

1 hour, 1 minute, 14 seconds

couldn't do it. So, um, yeah. So, I look, I I will wait on the Grizzlies, but yeah, they're just in full rebuild.

1:01:21

1 hour, 1 minute, 21 seconds

Absolute full rebuild.

1:01:23

1 hour, 1 minute, 23 seconds

Is there anyone here that you're looking to buy that you think might be worth picking up, or is this to stay away from your perspective?

1:01:31

1 hour, 1 minute, 31 seconds

I didn't mind Zach Edi. Um, I didn't mind Zach Edy. And like I look, if if I was to dabble in in in prospecting, um,

1:01:40

1 hour, 1 minute, 40 seconds

oh my god, I wouldn't I wouldn't do Cam Camboozer. like you know my thoughts on on draft players and paying the premium for the rookie years like Camboozer's

1:01:49

1 hour, 1 minute, 49 seconds

cards are going to be high straight off the bat. Um along with the bans along with you know along with everybody else

1:01:58

1 hour, 1 minute, 58 seconds

um but you know if I was to prospect a little bit on somebody fun you know Zack Edy um you know would be a pretty fun

1:02:05

1 hour, 2 minutes, 5 seconds

guy to collect. He was a you know he was a fun he was a fun watch. I've got a hot take. Fire away.

1:02:13

1 hour, 2 minutes, 13 seconds

I think I think Camboozer is going to be this year's conapple.

1:02:19

1 hour, 2 minutes, 19 seconds

Like like surprise surprise superstar or so look at look at what happened to Canop this year.

1:02:28

1 hour, 2 minutes, 28 seconds

Yeah. So his prices are going to shoot up hard and then look at this up to 1,800 and then all the way down.

1:02:36

1 hour, 2 minutes, 36 seconds

There's I think in the world of NBA cards how people love that sort of hot prospect if he gets off to a really strong start.

1:02:48

1 hour, 2 minutes, 48 seconds

Um and then reality hits as the season goes on. I think a lot of the luster and the shine will come off that card and you'll see another conuple. Like he's gone from hideously overpriced.

1:03:01

1 hour, 3 minutes, 1 second

He's actually he's actually back up again, but he was down to the 400s for a while. Well, he's he's back up because they've decided that they're going to

1:03:09

1 hour, 3 minutes, 9 seconds

move off LaMelo Ball and hand the keys to the kingdom to Con.

1:03:13

1 hour, 3 minutes, 13 seconds

I think there is some truth to that, but I think that 400's too low for this kid.

1:03:17

1 hour, 3 minutes, 17 seconds

I I think that it went down too far. And yeah, and actually I feel like 700 is probably a little bit too high for my

1:03:25

1 hour, 3 minutes, 25 seconds

liking. Like for me, 400 is is fantastic. And this is this is a Russell special where I've I've talked about it, but then not actually executed it. So, um, yeah, that's that's my hot take.

1:03:37

1 hour, 3 minutes, 37 seconds

I think with Cam is the exact same thing and we we've I've talked about it before. You've talked about it before.

1:03:42

1 hour, 3 minutes, 42 seconds

In the rookie year, these lottery players, especially the top three will shoot up hard and their values will

1:03:50

1 hour, 3 minutes, 50 seconds

shoot up hard and then after their rookie year, watch them plummet. So if you are to sell these guys in any year,

1:03:58

1 hour, 3 minutes, 58 seconds

like if you join in any breaks and you hit these guys, sell in the peak, which is pretty much in their rookie year, you know,

1:04:05

1 hour, 4 minutes, 5 seconds

immediately after they start getting some good stats, you know, you can hold them for a little bit and see how well they perform for the year. The moment

1:04:12

1 hour, 4 minutes, 12 seconds

they start putting in a row of good games like Conan did and, you know, and Cooper Flag did, like look to sell.

1:04:22

1 hour, 4 minutes, 22 seconds

But also too, just with the Zack Edy part, are you worried that he's a 7 foot4 guy?

1:04:28

1 hour, 4 minutes, 28 seconds

I think I'm just I think I just like big dudes. I think like I mean like my shack collection is example to that. I'm just like everyone's like don't collect

1:04:36

1 hour, 4 minutes, 36 seconds

centers, you know? Like sinners are a horrible investment [laughter] and like had I not listen had I listen not listened to that I probably would

1:04:44

1 hour, 4 minutes, 44 seconds

have collected Jokic and I probably would be doing a lot better because there was a moment where Jokic was dirt cheap. Absolutely dirt cheap.

1:04:52

1 hour, 4 minutes, 52 seconds

Like no one was touching him and now now he's in the thousands.

1:04:58

1 hour, 4 minutes, 58 seconds

Yeah. It's like the Giannis train. It's it's it's departed the station. Yeah. All right man. What do you got for me?

1:05:04

1 hour, 5 minutes, 4 seconds

Final thoughts. Uh, look, final thoughts. I mean, you've also got um, look, hot take though. I think like OKC

1:05:12

1 hour, 5 minutes, 12 seconds

managed to pick up a pretty fun little draft pick in that Ad Mara kid. Uh, 7 foot three uh, out of Michigan. Uh, Michigan State.

1:05:22

1 hour, 5 minutes, 22 seconds

So, he did win a chip with Michigan State this year with the NCAA. Um, but yeah, Adara with the 12th pick. Uh he

1:05:30

1 hour, 5 minutes, 30 seconds

that's a sneaky that's a sneaky WBY counterpick and there was a lot of them this year. Um a lot of teams picked up big sevenfooters like seven foot threes.

1:05:41

1 hour, 5 minutes, 41 seconds

I saw the combine assessment of this kid. He comped out the same as Camboozer in terms of uh speed and athleticism.

1:05:49

1 hour, 5 minutes, 49 seconds

Yes. Yeah.

1:05:51

1 hour, 5 minutes, 51 seconds

And he's he's freaky. He's like look he's got a really good wingspan. I think they said his wingspan is 9 foot one in.

1:05:58

1 hour, 5 minutes, 58 seconds

That's that's wild. Um he's 7 foot three, really good defensive instincts, really great court vision. Um if you go back

1:06:07

1 hour, 6 minutes, 7 seconds

and look at his like his videos, um he's got some ridiculous passes this year and yeah, he just played really well. Um he

1:06:15

1 hour, 6 minutes, 15 seconds

helped lead Michigan to a to a to a chip and he will complement the Oklahoma City Thunder quite well behind Hartinstein.

1:06:23

1 hour, 6 minutes, 23 seconds

Um they'll give him some minutes to grow in the background um and give him the rookie season to kind of get a bit bigger and then just trot them out

1:06:31

1 hour, 6 minutes, 31 seconds

whenever they need someone to to stand in front of WBY.

1:06:36

1 hour, 6 minutes, 36 seconds

Yeah, they're so deep now. That's what they can do, isn't it? Just sort of alter their rotation depending on who they're playing against there. Yep. It just sucks.

1:06:43

1 hour, 6 minutes, 43 seconds

And give and give Chad a bit of a break, you know? Like just go, "Hey Chat, go go go be a forward. Just go to the go be power forward. put a Day Mara in the center spot, put him in front of Wemby.

1:06:55

1 hour, 6 minutes, 55 seconds

Um take some take some grief off of Cet because Chad, you could see he was greatly undized. Um he just struggled

1:07:03

1 hour, 7 minutes, 3 seconds

against WBY. So hopefully if a day can grow into that role of Wember and that's his only job, just get on the court and be a WBY stopper. Um that'd be fun.

1:07:14

1 hour, 7 minutes, 14 seconds

Yeah. No, good way to finish out the show, man. Thank you so much again for coming on. It's fantastic having a chat

1:07:22

1 hour, 7 minutes, 22 seconds

with you. Drop your Instagram again too, man. If just in case people don't know who you are, you find me at Shak Fu32.

1:07:29

1 hour, 7 minutes, 29 seconds

Um, just just posting up my new Shacks.

1:07:32

1 hour, 7 minutes, 32 seconds

Look, I've I've been a bit more quiet of this year because I've just been focusing on condensing and growing the collection into bigger pieces. But this

1:07:40

1 hour, 7 minutes, 40 seconds

is what happens when you when you start to go into, I guess, side quest of the side quest now. like I'm really chasing unicorns and and unicorns obviously don't show up every day.

1:07:54

1 hour, 7 minutes, 54 seconds

It's awesome, man. Again, thank you so much everyone out there. Thank you so much for tuning in and listening. Really appreciate it. Take care of yourselves and we will catch you for the next one.
