Each January the Cranford Clergy Council presents the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Award at a community service. The award "is presented to persons who have represented in their own lives the ideals and commitments of Dr. King." This year's recipient was Cindy Hannen. Hannen chairs the Interfaith Human Relations Committee of the Clergy Council. The award was presented at the 38th annual commemorative service sponsored by the Clergy Council, held this year at Calvary Lutheran Church. Following the service, Cranford Radio spoke with Cindy about the award and her service to the community.
