Joining us is Brian Koons, a San Diego-based real estate developer and investor who's making waves in the growing Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) market. What’s even more interesting is Brian’s diverse background—he served eight years in the Marine Corps, both as a band member and drill instructor. In 2020, he house-hacked a $1.2M four-unit property using his VA loan, which sparked his passion for real estate.
Now, as Head of Development at ADU Geeks, Brian oversees the development of nearly 1,500 units across Southern California. His expertise spans underwriting, feasibility studies, and urban infill development, making him a pivotal figure in helping both homeowners and investors maximize their properties.
