Sudha Narayanan Says Shelters Are No Place For A Dog
Show Notes

Sudha Narayanan runs CARE (Charlies Animal Rescue Centre) and is the absolute go-to person when your own pet is in distress, or you find a streetie who needs help. The reason is she is not in it for the money. She genuinely cares about street dogs and will take care of dogs for as long as they live if there’s no one else who will. We talk about two very important things.

One is why people should change their attitude about sending street dogs ‘away’ to a shelter, as if it’s a magical place where fairies sprinkle dust on the dogs to keep them young and happy forever.

Two, is the way Sudha and CARE have taken charge of some 50-odd streeties at (BIAL) Bangalore's Kempegowda International Airport, before they grew to 500.

She says one of the saddest things in the world is when physically imperfect dogs are looked over when it comes to adoption. They can feel the rejection. It’s clearly evident in their eyes.
