Hello friends, we know you're our friends if you've stumbled across the Neuralicious podcast by Mammal Road. This is a space where we can talk openly about parenting neurodiverse kids, being neurodiverse ourselves and having the conversations about things that people struggle to have conversations about. Of course the not so good part was the aggression. It's the reality I live with, I can't leave my son unsupervised. In everyone's life you sort of realise that you have free will and that's not outside of this space either. Ever wondered if it's just you who finds parenting a neurodiverse child tricky? You might be one of those parents who are completely nailing it and you relish in your child's uniqueness. And to you, my friend, we say, well done. You may not be a parent, but you might have questions about the neurodiverse world.

As a registered developmental educator and a positive behaviour support practitioner, I've got loads of professional experience, but I've got three children and my eldest has a swag of diagnoses and NeuroSpice. That makes him the unique legend that he is to My name's Charlie and my mum's the best. And I'm Kylie. I'm a paediatric occupational therapist with a special interest in ADHD and autism. I love building connection with kids that just don't seem to like anybody. We are the brains trust you need. We're going to go deep on topics by speaking to the people that know the most about that topic, as well as people with lived experience.

I felt nervous and I felt embarrassed.
