The Waves Of Change with Darragh Byrne
#6 — Defining Ownership as a Woman with Bek Antonucci
Show Notes

In today’s episode I speak with Bek Antonucci, about her journey through life and how her trauma and wounds have impacted how she experiences the world around her, and helps other women in her role as an emotional wellbeing coach.

In this episode, Bek and I speak about:
• How external acceptance is only temporary whereas internal acceptance is lasting
• Understanding how trauma wounds impact your experiences of the world around you
• Importance of ownership – whatever is true and real for you in that moment
• Honouring where you are in your journey without expectations allows shame to dissipate
• Addressing your shame by giving it a name and speaking about it
• The different levels of how deep our healing goes
• We see ourselves through the lens of our thoughts and how this leads to misconceptions in society that a beautiful woman doesn’t have insecurities
• Everybody has a story and comparison is the thief of all joy
• Ask yourself what you are avoiding, what you experience you think you will have on the other side of your sacrifice
• To break a pattern, you must do the work from where the seed of the thought was planted
• The power and value in true, honest, and crystal-clear communication in all your relationships
• Lean into honest communication and be comfortable with comfortability so you can have deeper and richer connections with others
• Face off with ineffective thoughts so you can cultivate the courage for you to express the truth of who you are
