More Than A Side Hustle
I Posted Every Day For Three Months And Here’s What Changed
From October 1st to December 31st, I posted content on TikTok every single day.
Here's what I learned (and what nobody tells you about consistency):
The brutal truth about daily posting:
✅ Getting dressed + makeup = instant energy boost (even at home)
✅ More posts = more visibility (it's really that simple)
✅ Your "throwaway" content might be your best performing
✅ People need to see you 5-7 times before they follow
✅ One video can become 3-4 pieces of content
✅ Analytics tell you what your audience actually wants (not what you think they want)
If you're struggling with consistency or building your personal brand while running a business, this video is for you.

Hello everyone. I wanted to come on and talk about things that I've learned since posting consistently for the past 90 days. Every single day, October 1st to December 31st, I posted some piece of content on TikTok specifically every single day. Now when I first started, it was really just to I was only doing October originally. And then it became November and December. And I think it was more about me doing being consistent and showing up. But let's go through some of the things that I've learned or that I've learned about myself combination. And I do want to preface this by saying this is really not a kind of tips and tricks for you to learn how to grow and stuff because I didn't really do that. Maybe I've gained I don't even know. Maybe I've gained like a hundred followers or something. It wasn't anything crazy. So it's not really just that. So I think it's more focused on the things that I've learned and maybe what I would like to do differently. First thing is that I want to get dressed and put a little face on. Getting dressed and putting a little face on gives you a little more dip near chip, a little more energy. Does that make sense? And I'll be honest, I watch videos and I see people get ready and put a face on, and I'm like, You staying in the house? Like, what are we doing here? We're in the house. But one I think part of it is that sometimes people wear makeup every day. That's just generally not what I've done. Even when I was working my job, I just don't put on makeup. I only put it on when I'm going out somewhere. That's just me. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with doing it daily. I just never done it. So when I see that, I'm like, oh, those probably just people that do that. But now I get it. Now I get it to just get dressed and put a little face on. And then you just feel good doing content. You just want to make more videos. You're ready. You just show up differently. Okay. You show up differently. So that's one thing that I've learned that I like to do and I want to continue to do. Just get ready for the day, essentially. It doesn't always have to be putting makeup on, but you know, a little beat make you feel make you feel good. Posting the content, just post it or however it makes sense, okay? The more videos that you post, the more visibility that you get. It's really one plus one equal two. It's pretty simple, especially in the algorithm of TikTok. Now I've been bringing my TikTok videos to Instagram, not really putting much on YouTube, but that's gonna change. That's gonna change this year, especially when it comes to that specifically. Just post it. Because what one person saw, the next time you post it, another person sees it, and so on and so forth. So you just don't know who's watching, just keep doing it. For example, me and my husband have you know our own Instagram page and we post content about like family meetings, and almost every time we post content about family meetings, it kind of goes crazy. And people were like, Oh, tell us more about this, you know. And I posted more about it, but maybe they haven't seen it. So just post it, don't overthink it, get it out there, get it out there, it doesn't have to be perfect. On the other side of that, I do want to be intentional with what I post. I know you're like, you just said to just post it. Um, but I want to be intentional with what I post because I feel like during this time, the three months of when I was posting, I was with sometimes it was like throwaways. I'm just posting it because I'm like, oh, I said I was gonna post that video, so I'm just throwing it away. And sometimes those videos actually do really well. Don't get me wrong, but I do want to just be a bit more intentional and a bit more educational, I would say, about what I post. I don't know what my content will fall under. I I don't do many educational ones. More of it is kind of the some that I've done is day in the life, some are just videos with music. So I want to be intentional, more intentional with what I post, and just a bit more educational with what I post. Now it doesn't have to be just about the cleaning business, but there's things that I do, right? I have motherhood, I have marriage, I'm into fitness, I got friends and family, I watch reality TV. There's so many things that I can discuss and more I can discuss about and talk about that I don't necessarily do because one, I'm not posting it, you know, I'm just kind of throwing it away. So I want to be more intentional with what I post. Other thing is I want to study what my audience likes. So, you know how people say you know what to post by the way that the audience reacts. And so sometimes you think, like, I'll put my foot in this, like everybody should like this, and that'll be the case. But the views and the comments and the saves tells you what people like. Now, I'm not saying that if there's something that you feel that people should hear about and don't post about it again. You may have to post it a few times, but you should probably listen to your analytics, listen to your your audience, what they're telling you, what they're interested in, what they're interested in hearing from you specifically. And that doesn't necessarily mean that I need to niche down and talk about one thing because I got a lot going on and I feel like I want to talk about it all, but still being intentional and looking at my analytics so that I can say, okay, I can post more about this in different ways. Along the same lines of things that I've learned is that you can take one video and make it into five or six, maybe not five or six, I'll talk about three, three to four, maybe. One video can do the same thing, and what I mean by that is if I do a day in a life video, just for example, I can do a day in a life video, then I can do a video of the outfit of the day from that. That's number two. I can do a video of me getting ready, like if I'm putting makeup on, number three. I can do a video with original audio, and then I could do a video with a voiceover, and then something within that video, I could probably can chop it down for seven seconds and just put words on it. So it doesn't always have to be that you're constantly recording new content. You can just utilize the content that you have. I promise you, okay, hands a Bible, that you have something in your phone that you can utilize right now and put content and utilize and post the content. I promise you. Now I'm not saying you don't have to record because you do, but I promise you there's stuff there that you can utilize, and that's another thing. The last thing I would say that I would learn that that I learned is that it probably will take someone multiple times seeing you before they follow you. Just think about it. I see certain people like on my FYP on TikTok or even Instagram because they suggest people that you should follow multiple times. I look at their content, I may engage, I may comment, I may even like it, and I don't follow. Just think about it. It it happens. So people sometimes have to see you multiple times. I don't know, I can't say like what criteria they're going by for them to make the decision of okay, yeah, I'm gonna follow her now, or now is the time to do it. I have no idea, but that's just another reason why you should just keep posting and putting stuff out there because the more that they see, the more that they could buy into you, the more that they kind of build you, build rapport, get to know your personality. So, yeah, those are the things that I've learned since posting consistently for the past 90 days. And maybe it's some tips to help you, but mostly just what I've learned and what you can take from it, especially those of you that may be beginning or starting out doing content. This is for you, tap in here. See you next time.
