SPECIAL: Teaching of the Month; August 30, 2026 “Our Great Hope”

SOMETHING SPECIAL!  In addition to the regular His Word podcasts, which are normally all under 5 minutes, His Word Podcast is posting a “Teaching of the Month;” a full length teaching from our Westbrook Sunday morning fellowship. This month’s teaching is from August 30, 2026, entitled, “Our Great Hope" (41:00)

In I Corinthians 15, God’s Word calls death an enemy. Would an enemy bring you right to Jesus? Would an enemy put you in the arms of a loved one you lost? Death is indeed an enemy, and since it is, we need victory over this enemy.

That victory will come when Jeus Christ returns to gather together all those born again, both those who have died and those who are alive.

I Corinthians 15:54-57:
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
