Hello and welcome to Coastal Alabama's Highway 98 Radio. Rick McCand behind the microphone. We've got the latest breaking news, extended weather forecast, and great music coming up live, broadcasting from the Blue Ran Media Studios here in Golf Shores, Alabama.

SPEAKER_02

Looking at you laying in the bed last night. I kiss you good night and you close your eyes. And I worry what's on your mind. Will you still be pulling me closer? Resting your head on me. And as time keeps making us older, I pray that I'll always be Still that cowboy that stole your home. Still that right one you chose from the stone.

SPEAKER_04

When the nights get long and the years roll by, when you wake up and you look at me. I hope I'm still that cowboy thrown up in your dream. You were dressed in white on a champagne night. We were drunk on an eye to kiss. Funny how the honeymoon fades all of a sudden you're a kid with a couple kids. Yeah, the wits get a little bit less.

SPEAKER_02

The missile less gets a little more. But I can't get you out of my head. Still that cowboy that stole your heart. Still that ribbon, you toast home first. I can alone in the ears walk by when you wake up. When you frame the battle warmest man, hold your hand wall by Still that cowboy that stole your heart. Still that ride one you chose from the star.

SPEAKER_16

When I was three, drove a hundred thousand miles on my knees, hauled marbles and rocks, and thought twice before I hauled a Barbie doll bed for the girl next door. She tried to pay me with a kiss, and I began to understand there's something women like about a pickup man. When I turned 16, I saved a few hundred bucks. My first car was a pickup truck. I was cruising the town, and the first girl I seen was Bobby Joe Gentry, the homecoming queen. She flagged me down and climbed up in the cab and said, I never knew you were a pickup man. You can set my truck on fire and roll it down a hill. And I still wouldn't trade it for a good veil. I got an eight-foot bet that never has to be made. You know, if it weren't for trucks, you wouldn't have tailgates. I met all my wives. The traffic jams are just something women like a bite of pickup man. Most Friday nights, I can be found in the bed of my truck on an old Jake's lounge. Backed into my spot at the driving show. You know a cargo light gives off a romantic blow. I never have to wait in line at the popcorn stand. Cause it's toppin' whimin' like a byta pick-up man. You can set my truck on fire and roll it down a hill. And I still wouldn't trade it for a cookie bill. I got an eight-foot vet that never has to be made. You know if it weren't for trucks, you wouldn't have tailgate. I met all my wives. The traffic jams are just toppin' whimin' like a bide-pick-up man. Lucky new rust or a brand new machine. Once around the block, and you know what I mean. Set my truck on fire and roll it down a hill and I feel what's waiting for a good big bill. I got an eight-foot bed that never has to be made. You know if it works because you have to gate. I bet all my wives. Traffic jams, you just stomp them women like about a pickup man. Yeah, just stomping women like about a pickup man.

SPEAKER_15

SPEAKER_12

You better take it up. That boy is not a display. You better take the tool. It's just a better time.

SPEAKER_09

In 2021, five of these deaths were on the Gulf Coast. Rip currents are the number one rudder-related killer at the beaches along the northern Gulf Coast. The number of rip current fatalities on these beaches is more than the fatalities of flooding, tornadoes, lightning, and tropical storms or hurricanes combined. Learn the facts. Before heading out to the beach, check current beach conditions and know what each flag means. Always swim near a lifeguard. Rip currents are narrow currents that flow away from the beach. If you notice you're being pulled away from the beach and are swimming and getting tired, you may be in a rip current. Think of it like a treadmill that you can't turn off. You want to step to the side of it. Don't swim against the current. Try to swim across it in a direction following the shoreline. Rip currents do not pull you under, but may take you as far out as a football field so people can tire quickly. The most important thing is to stay calm. If you can't escape the current, float or calmly tread water. Wave for help if you can. Rip current's strength eventually subsides and may even take you closer to shore. If you see someone caught in a rip current, call 911 or get a lifeguard and throw something that floats towards the victim. For more information, please visit www.visitalbeaches.com slash safety.

Coming up. Real quick. The annual home and garden show in Mobile is coming back at the Arthur R. Center. You know where it's at. Right there on the river there. Thursday, March 19th. Sunday, March 22nd. So you can take quite a few days, four days, to get on down there and see all that there is to see and do. That's the home and garden show. It's a curated event of antiques, designs, inspired living, bringing renowned designers, artistics, and lifestyle experts all together from one of the kind experiences. Discover timeless treasures and state and pieces. From top collectors and dealers. And design yourself. Evaluate your living spaces. Yes, I need a little help with that. Explore beautifully designed landscape. Exploring unique creators. But if you like me, I'll be on the cheap and I'll be there just to see what it is to see. Probably spend about 28 bucks. But it's gonna be a fun uh kind of exciting if you're uh a home and garden kind of person. And I'm looking forward to it, so go on down and check it out.

SPEAKER_16

I've seen a dozen text, and I ain't her jack. Yeah, I guess she's busy playing hard to get back.

SPEAKER_02

So I bought roses and her favorite wine. Thinking we'd be making up in old time. But I'm parked out here on her street. Looks like the joke's on me. Sittin' here, I can't believe what I just saw. Couple shadows kissing off her bedroom walls. It's looking like my plan didn't work out at all, or break turning the broga.

SPEAKER_11

So now I'm finding out how a hard break taste with a silver old 1998 Drinking cabin solo in the cab of my truck Yeah, I thought about taking it back to the store Cause it's the nicest bottle that I ever paid for But then again if I had that money back I'd just find a bar and go run up a tap I could go for a whiskey, I could go for a beer, but hell I'm already here Sitting here, I can't believe what I just saw Couple shadows kissing off the wall Looking like my brain didn't work out at all Hornbreak turned into broke up So now I'm finding how hell a hard break taste with a silver road I'm taking IA Drinking cow in a solo solo in the camp of my truth turn out the lights It's too many which she said goodbye Man I swear I can't believe what I just saw Couple shadows kissing on Bedroom wall Smoking like my brain worked out it all That break turned into broke up So now I'm finding out a home break taste with a silver oak 99 Drinking cabin a solo Solo in the cabin my truck Yeah I'm drinking Cabin a solo Solo in the cabin my truck And once again on this Thursday morning sitting here at the News and Weather Desk we've got your extended weather It's gonna be kind of an up and down situation warm and cool yesterday we hit almost 80 degrees in some places they did but this morning we have some disturbances you might see some early morning thunderstorms probably through uh general webinar it's gonna be cool yesterday 80 today we're only gonna make it up about to 55 degrees if we even make it there. And of course that we kind of brought on the onslaught of some uh thunderstorms in the area. 42 degrees overnight. Now that almost feels like late fall or early winter, but certainly not spring. I don't think many of our spring breakers are dipping in the golf right now, although I did see a few, and you know, there's some brave cold out there. We do have a 57% chance of rain for the remainder of the day, and winds are blowing pretty steady at 17 to 20 miles per hour. Now tomorrow will be a bit better, 72 will be your high, but it will be cool in the overnight once again. 51 will be the low. We'll see mostly sunny skies and a few clouds. So that's not so bad. You might as well say a drop maybe here or there wind 6 to 8 miles per hour. Saturday and Sunday looking a little better. Sunday and Saturday will be sunny. There will be some clouds in the area, the high for Saturday is 76 and 79 once again on Sunday. But there will be a chance of rain about 20%. That chance increases slightly on Monday, and the temperature decreases on the 64, and believe it or not, Monday we have a chance of some frost in the area. On the 34 degrees Monday morning, 27% chance of rain, and wind blowing 15 to 20 miles an hour, and that could decrease the morning temperature even more. Now, if you think that's gonna be cool on Monday, hey, Tuesday when you wake up, the temperature is gonna be right around 34 degrees, and we're only gonna see a high of 55 on Tuesday the 17th. We're gonna have hardly cloudy and hardly sunny. Wind once again blowing 11 and 15 miles an hour out of the fountain. And we have a light, only 4% chance of rain. Wednesday and Thursday. The temperatures are gonna reach about 66-67. The low will be 43 in the overnight, again, partly cloudy and partly funny. Friday, 30, and Sunday, things will be looking better. Temperatures will go up around 75. A cool overnight, down around 52 to 55, and about a 12 to 15% chance of rain through Monday the 23rd. Of course, we're gonna have the latest extended weather forecast for you when we get back here on Monday. And uh overall, you know, it's a little flexibility, we just gotta be flexible. Some days are gonna be a little bit more like fall, others will be definitely deep spring. Overall, we're kind of blast because there's some areas that still see snow falling, and uh even some icy conditions, so we're not there yet. And that's your extended weather forecast from Coastal Alabama Radio.

SPEAKER_04

The online lights called in your head.

SPEAKER_05

Now it's a shot. I know what I'm getting myself into right now. But I just can't help it. I still wanna stick around. Till that shot starts telling me It's time to chase your nose to buy. Till the last time I'm better. Maybe I can do the chat too if you wanna I love you without my heart. Till don't do a spot I don't want to make a name. I don't want to be a good thing.

SPEAKER_02

But my eyes tell a story. I'm on the black shot. The short shot.

SPEAKER_11

And once again, of course, it's that time again when we gotta back on out and get on down the road. I'll tell you what, I've got a laundry list. I think that's the second time I've actually used that phrase today. Just like everybody. Big list, unfortunately, right now. I needed to take care of some of that today. I'm sure you've got plenty of things to do as well. If you're listening at work, I'm not gonna tell a full. If you're listening, driving on the road, enjoying the music and whatnot. And we do have plenty, plenty of whatnot on the radio show. Well, we appreciate you listening. Please continue telling your friends, your family, co-workers, and anybody who will listen to come listen 24-7 streaming across the country and around the world. We are not a radio station. All right, I got it right that time. Until the next time, my friend, you all be safe. Be blessed, and I'll see you back on the radio.
