Hello and welcome to Coastal Alabama's Highway 98 Radio. Rick McCann behind the microphone. We've got the latest breaking news, extended weather forecast, and great music coming up live, broadcasting from the Blue Ran Media Studios here in Golf Shores, Alabama.

SPEAKER_03

The first time that I met her, she was born chance around. Told me that her cousin just turned 21. She took my hand and said we're dancing. When she played a famous song, we didn't stop till everybody else was gone. I'm gonna change her name, but she don't know me yet. She's what I've been praying. Something God wants since I ain't never been the same since we first met. I'm gonna marry that girl. I'm gonna marry that girl. My best friend's tired of hearing me talk about her smile. She says you've only known her for a little while. I better take it slow. I just say I will, but I already know. I'm gonna change her name, but she don't know it yet. She's what I've been praying, something God for her since. I've never been a saint since we first met. I'm gonna marry that girl. I'm gonna marry that girl. I'll pick the perfect prank. I'll pick the perfect time. Ask her if she'll have me for the rest of my life. I'm gonna change her name, but she don't know it yet. She's what I've been praying something, God won't say. I ain't never been the same since we first met. I'm gonna marry that girl. I'm gonna marry that girl. I'm gonna marry that girl. I'm gonna marry that girl. I can love you with all my heart. The hardest part is I just can't love you best. I get around a thousand letters all a hundred times a day. Try to drown my sorrow at the ball. I can go down to the church, get on my knees and pray, but it still won't change the way things won't bring you back. It can't so easy. I can help you be my heart. I just can't love you. I can love you for all the world. The end of the year, but I just can't love you best.

SPEAKER_17

Right here in the Blue Ran Media Studio, uh broadcasting like we always do live along the Gulf Coast and Golf Shores, Alabama. I'm Rick McCann, once again, of course, behind the microphone. We are an iHeart Radio Station broadcasting worldwide on the web and across more than 40 platforms. So tell your friends, tell your family, tell your neighbors, your co-workers, scream it from the roof. We are a community here along the golf coach. I'm gonna let you in on a secret coming up here shortly. Well you're gonna know that we can do different what we normally do in programming. Today we've got a trade for you. We get a number of artists. We're gonna go back to back. It's called a double shot. We're gonna give you a double shot of their music throughout the program. So it's gonna be fun. In fact, I'm gonna kick it off right now with an artist that you know and love, and uh we got a whole lineup. Um we might even do this again soon. But welcome, welcome to the coastal Alabama Radio, and I'll be back momentarily.

SPEAKER_05

Tell me I'm beautiful, even though you know I'm gonna say yeah, all right. You know how to make me laugh when I'm in a possible. You show me off like I'm the best in you guys. Right song on the radio, turn you into Romeo, I can have the backs. I feel like I'm fine, I wanna come with baby, baby go. It's gonna tell you crazy. You don't want to make a baby, be little too. Still your little gonna walk out that you wanna make an eye insecurity. Baby'll have it, husband that I have a big bad baby, you better take it. That's what is that? You better take the time.

Lord, it's been a long long time. I know this ain't no soul should come. Get it off your mind. You heard what? Well it ain't true. I was ilmost on last night. I got over you left. Could it be somebody like they said what that I was crying? I haven't shed a tear in years that I spoke your name. Well, that's insane. I hardly know to. Some stranger. Don't you think I got no prize? They've been here at home. Face down on the ship. But I bet somebody lies. But if they were true, what would it matter to you? Would it change the way? If the rumors were right, would you be here tonight? To help this sub here. Well, don't worry. It wasn't me. Just someone whose work was turned into someone who looks like me and loves someone like you. So forget the tears and ever try for that somebody. Once in a while, let me hear from you if we never meet again before my sort loving you. You can take everything but my memories, all their good ones, and they'll see me through if we never meet again. I'll love you forever. I'll leave this world loving you. And I'm thankful. Over life would be so long without you if we never meet again this time of ever.

SPEAKER_14

Learn the facts. Before heading out to the beach, check current beach conditions and know what each flag means. Always swim near a lifeguard. Rip currents are narrow currents that flow away from the beach. If you notice you're being pulled away from the beach and are swimming and getting tired, you may be in a rip current. Think of it like a treadmill that you can't turn off. You want to step to the side of it. Don't swim against the current. Try to swim across it in a direction following the shoreline. Rip currents do not pull you under, but may take you as far out as a football field so people can tire quickly. The most important thing is to stay calm. If you can't escape the current, float or calmly tread water. Wave for help if you can. Rip current's strength eventually subsides and may even take you closer to shore. If you see someone caught in a rip current, call 911 or get a lifeguard and throw something that floats towards the victim. For more information, please visit www.visitalbeaches.com slash safety.

The Gulf Coast region, including the city and county of Mobile, is spectacular this time of year. So much to do, see, great food to eat, and lovely scenery. You gotta admit, living here along Gulf Coast is something spectacular this time of year. In fact, they want you to know in Mobile, every Saturday morning, there's a special walking tour of downtown happening every Saturday during the month of April. Come on down 9 a.m. and join in. And also, I don't know if you've ever been over there for the Sunset Riverboat Inner Cruises, but go spectacular as well on the Perdido Queen. Go to their website and check it out. What's happening and check it today?

SPEAKER_02

Somebody's gonna give you a lesson and leave, and somebody's gonna give you back what you've been giving. And I hope that I'm around. So watch them knock you down. It's like you to love them and leave them. Just like you love me and love me. It's like you to do that sort of thing.

SPEAKER_18

Over and over again.

SPEAKER_02

Some of my friends. But you better believe I'm not gonna win.

SPEAKER_18

Some bodies don't get to do it.

SPEAKER_02

Sometimes don't be doing it. Something's gonna be with your fire birds. Don't wait to put it down.

SPEAKER_18

Leave this one horse town like two rebels without a car. I've got people in Boston. Ain't your daddy's still in the lawn. We can pack up tomorrow. Tonight let's flip a call. Hells, Carolina, Tails, California, somewhere greener, somewhere warmer, up in the mountains, down by the oceans where it don't matter. Long is where the wind somewhere together.

SPEAKER_19

I'm not a quarter. Hells, Carolina, Hales, California.

SPEAKER_18

We can only what we own in the back of a U Hall van. Couple modern day motors Searching for the promised land. We can go for a hundred miles before we stop for gas. We could drive more a day, and then we'll take a look at the mess.

SPEAKER_16

Every day, right here on Highway 98.

SPEAKER_00

So you think you can beat a train? Well, think again. Even at low speed, the trains can cause serious injuries or death. You must slow down and yield when you approach all railroad crossings. If a train is approaching, always stop behind the solid white line, or at least 15 feet from the crossing, never stop on the track. It's a lot and it can save your life. Proceed only when the train has cleared the area and no other trains are approaching. Please be safe at all railroad crossings.

SPEAKER_07

You told me not to drink that.

SPEAKER_06

You told me not to drink the track.

SPEAKER_17

And we do have a chance of uh wrinkles today as well, but nothing major. Tomorrow again the temperature eyes going to rage about seventy-eight degrees during the daytime. And once again, we've got a 17 to 20% chance of sprinkle, so we're gonna have some fun tomorrow. The overnight will be a little bit cooler down around 55 degrees with wind coming out of the northwest at about 12 miles per hour. Again, we can't rule out a sprinkle somewhere along our area. On Saturday and Sunday, we're gonna have mostly sunny, around 75 degrees would be the high during the daytime. Only a slight 3 to 5% chance of any sprinkles the overnight. Uh it's gonna be around 60 on Saturday and 62 on Sunday. Winds coming out of the northwest at about 17 miles per hour. All in all, not bad, mostly sunny, but a few clouds will be roaming around. We also want to tell you that on Monday it's gonna be pretty similar. We're gonna see 75 degrees once again Monday during the daytime, 61 in the overnight, perfectly cloudy with some spike chances of rain, 15 miles per hour winds blowing. That's Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Very similar weather next week, and then the rain starts moving in as we move toward the weekend next week. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and even Sunday, we'll see some daytime showers. Nothing major, but we do have about a 40 to 50 percent chance on each day with wind gusting 13 to 15 miles per hour. Of course, when I get back in the studio, we'll have the latest updated weather, which we know living here along the Gulf Coast can change. Not by the day, but actually by the hour, we'll bring it to you. You all have a good weekend.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

All I ever give is give you my intention. Every Friday night since I turned twenty two. I trusted you with my naive intentions. What I ever do to you? I gave you every pain in my pocket. You lie, made me tell the truth. Stayed out with you all night when you came calling. A risk what I ever do to you. Let you stay made a lead. Made me say things I don't mean. To the only girl that ever made me choose. Gave you everything I had to hell and can't give back. The only thing I couldn't stand was.

SPEAKER_17

And saving a life.

SPEAKER_03

Driving in the car or on the app. Thanks for listening. I'll be a good manual now.

SPEAKER_15

Highway 98 Radio.

SPEAKER_17

I just want to give you a heads up if you live over in Mobile or Mobile County. The City of Mobile is collecting the household hazardous. Yeah, they're holding away from the collection event. Schedule for April from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. They're gonna be pretty quick for only folks who live in mobile.

SPEAKER_06

I've done some things that I do anything to take back. And I've held on for way too long and let go way too fast. Still waiting on some change at the bottom of the well, checking in and I love like a superate motel. How is that straight and narrow? So damn all the walk. How is he together? And I live forever. And I can shake the stuff every time that I fall, don't y'all. Don't y'all I quit smoking cigarettes for the second time this week. I've swept my mess under the rug and acted like it's clean. I've gone out to a crowded bar tonight, feel so alone. Pay the high price in the morning, for someone I cheat on. How is that straight and narrow? What so damn hard to walk? Tonight call the man upstairs every time I need to talk. How is close friends? We stay close and hometowns would stay home. And I can shake the stuff every time that I fall, but don't we all? Don't we all? Don't we all get it right? Don't we all get it wrong? Do the best that we can with what we've got going on. How is that straight and narrow? Night command upstairs every time I need a talk. I wish our child together and don't live forever, and I can shake the stuff every time that I fall, but don't be off. Don't be off. She's from Texas, I can tell by the way. He's two stepping round the room. And judging by the smile that's written on his face. There's nothing I can do. It doesn't take a crystal ball to see. A cowboy always finds a way to leave Drink and Jack all by myself. He's choosing Texas, I can tell I guess he forgot about the smoky mountain rain. The bow hangtunts, the memphis blues we used to say He always loved Emore by morning. I shouldn't take that as morning She's from Texas, I can tell by the way He's too stepping round the room. Judging by the smile it's written on his face. There's nothing I can do. It doesn't take a crystal ball to see. A cowboy always finds a way to leave. Drinking jack on my spell. When I please found down, can I have a crowd? Cause that's forty is only her with everyone. I don't know that his mind wasn't never gonna change. Cause his heart still belongs to all star stay. She's from Texas, I can tell by the way. He's two stepping round the room. Judging by the smile that's riding on his face. There's nothing I can do. A cowboy always finds a way to leave Drinking Jack all by myself. He's choosing Texas, I can tell Drinking Jack all by myself. He's choosing Texas, I can tell.

SPEAKER_19

Just when I thought I got in the fall and love.

SPEAKER_17

SPEAKER_10

And here's the exit. You know, Johnny, he has six beers in already. This is not gonna end well.

SPEAKER_11

Steve, he's rumbling, bubbling, stumbling all over the place. And oh, that can't be good.

SPEAKER_01

Look at that topic key action. That's gonna draw a penalty. Drinking, driving, possible$1,500 fine and one year in jail.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, Steve, that was a good call by the ref. One bad decision totally changes the game. You know what just goes to show if you drink when you drive, nobody wins.

SPEAKER_02

Ain't a liquor quitting. I'm a sucker, fool, wrangler, man. Work day morning, cowlift standing on four by four, pulling up in the drive. To hang it up for the night. When it takes the cowboy off, the rough goes smooth. When a head in the boots get lost, I lose my mind. Kits me every time. Let them rode your eyes, rolling me, yeah, sweeping me up like a tumble with a wind. That west takes it strong. Looks good all day long, but nothing really turns me on. Like when he takes the cowboy off. Really gets my heart racing. To get my hands on him Second he walks in. Cause hell I'm done waiting. For when he takes the cowboy off. For a full smooth When the head and the boots get lost, I lose my life. Kits me every time. Then roll to your eyes. Roping me in, sweeping me up like a tumble with a wheel. That way it takes you strong. Looks good all day long. But nothing really turns me on. Like what it takes to kill I'm a sucker for an work day warm, careless hands in a four by four, pulling up in the drive. To hang it up for the night. Then road to your eyes. Sweeping me up like a tumble with a wind. Oh, it takes you strong. Looks good all day long. But nothing really turns me on. Like when it takes a cowboy off. Oh When it takes a cowboy off. When it takes a cowboy off. Hate hanging up the phone, saying goodbye. Laying here all alone, kinda feel like crying.

SPEAKER_07

Laying used to missing somebody so much. But it's worth it for the next time I get to feel your touch.

SPEAKER_02

It's hard to sleep when you ain't next to me. But even in my dreams, being my state. It's the look in your hand from the phone. You kiss me coming at the state. When I got the water Baby when you dump, stitch you. I'm thinking about your dream.

SPEAKER_09

One minute in Texas, next minute in Venice. It ain't gotta make sense, no.

SPEAKER_07

All the man driving, superman flyin', baby with the whole thing.

SPEAKER_08

I ain't gonna lie when those headlights put into my drive tonight. Was a sight for sore eyes, last thing I thought I'd see. And if something wrong, what brought you home? Was it tough out on your own? Or did you drive all the way down here just to see me? Or was it the cows feel stretching nearly countywide? Then cooled air to mourn into the Jackson nights. Did your river state drift turning to a dead industry? Was it a midnight blank? Get on a riverbank. Two night's all up to a low water tank.

SPEAKER_03

Was it some bottom board by calling you hard to meet? Were you missing mister? You are in the field.

SPEAKER_08

So what's the dog? Tell me what it was brought to back on the card. The cooled is the monster jazz, ringers take it. Russia for it, so we'd never make it. I quit my job, let my mama down. Broken angel's heart on the way out of town. I pulled my roots from the ground for the home wheels on a black top. Some neon fever for a small town. Dreamer tells you everything you have is worth losing. Damn contrive. You might get lost in the lights and things that keep you up on night. Like whiskey straight at 3 a.m.

unknown

Cheese and songs in your head.

SPEAKER_08

The highest highs, the lowest lows. It's needing yes, but here no, just another soul. So believe me, I know it's the host. Down country. And with the money and the frame, and the lights on your name. You'll all fade away. You still be slipped to the home wheels on a black top. Strong strings on a flat top. It's a neon fever for a small town. Dreamer tells you everything you have. It is worth losing. Damn country music. Damn country music. Damn you country music.

SPEAKER_17

SPEAKER_03

Here comes that sun coming up on this Gulf Coast. We've had one hell of a time, but our time is running out. You're about to head back north. I'm about to head back west, but I gotta get this off. My sunburn chest, I swear. I think this thing we got can do. Girl, I've never gone to Jacksonville, Georgia. But after holding you all night, I wanna. Can I get your number? Beat me by the water text. Took it up to see you next. I met them on town boys. Can't wait for you to get back. They're probably standing in the line. You met somebody at the face and battle. Take a bad comment. And I love you more if I go first. I loved you till the end. You were my rocker, you were my best friend, and I'd marry you a hundred times if I could. Maybe they'll see you when they get up under the hood. And it's hard to stay to think about it. Even harder. I know I've told you a million times, but gotta tell you again today. I love you. Skies are blue. I'll hold down hill. If I go first. If I go first, get some more dolls. Keep wearing my shirts, baby. Keep living our songs if I go first. I'm just a prayer away. I'll be shining down on you, baby. When it starts to rain, you gotta put my ring around your necklace. And I'll be with you every second. Our circle won't be broken. You'll always be fitted. Our trying to play it. Even hard. I know I've told you a million times, but gotta tell you again today. I love you. I don't know. I love the old thing. Anything in this world. Always have my heart. It'll always be my girl. And it's hard time to play the pattern it. Even harder. I know I've told you a million times, but gotta tell you in a day. I love you. Skies are blue. You're the light of my life on this earth. I'll hold down it if I go through.

SPEAKER_17

If you like Cajun food, and most of us would love spices and things that are a little hot, well, we do, and you don't want to miss the downtown mobile Cajun cook-off. From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, March the 28th, you'll be able to enjoy a celebration of Cajun culture and cuisine with bold flavors. And what they mean by that is a little bit on the spicy warm side. And there'll also be radical music in support of the Child Advocacy Center. Chickens$18 in advance.$20 at the game. It is a good time, good food, family oriented, and it's for a good cause. We love to support these types of things. And I'm sure you do too, so don't forget. Mark the calendar. Saturday, that's the last Saturday of the month, the 28th, downtown at Cathedral Square. And once again, this is part of the radio show that we kind of dread, to be honest with you, and that is the wrap-up. We have had fun as always here behind the microphone. And I'm sure, without a doubt, many of you enjoyed it as well. And uh remember, you can send breaking news to uh our news desk at bluermedia.com. Whatever you see happening, we'd love to know. And if you're an indie singer, we'd love to play your song to helpdesk at blue rammedia.com. If you're interested in subscribing to our daily newsletter, and who wouldn't, it's only fifty dollars a year. Not a day, not a month, a year. Contact helpdesk at bluermedia.com. I really appreciate each and every one of you listening to our program, and we'd love for you to pass it along to others. But in the meantime, no matter where you're driving, of course, the county roads, the interstate, wherever it might be, please pull to the right for sirens and light. Yep. I'll be saying this probably right on through to the very last show. And why not? I'm a public safety person, I've been around uh fiery and a small portion all my life, and I know what it's like to be sitting on the side of the road. And have someone by right next to us when they should have pulled to the left. I really don't want to see you get a ticket, and I really don't want to see any of our first responders being dangerous. Please remember. If they're on the right shoulder, you pull to the left. And they are coming up behind you with sirens and light, you pull to the right. Until the next time, hey, y'all be blind to be saved, we'll see you back on the radio.
