SPEAKER_10You ran crying to the bedroom. I ran off to the bar.
SPEAKER_04Another piece of heaven called heaven.
SPEAKER_10The words we spoke in angry just tore my world apart. And I said, I feeling sorry for my son. Then an old man sat down beside me and looked me in the eye. He said, Son, I know what you're going through. You oughta get down your knees and take your lucky steps that you got someone go home to.
SPEAKER_11You don't know about me.
SPEAKER_04You don't know about home. So I brought these pretty flowers, hoping you would understand.
SPEAKER_10Those golden words of wisdom from the heart of that woman showed me I am nothing without you.
SPEAKER_11You don't know about if you face.
SPEAKER_05Good news. Good news. Today is the thirteenth day of the month. But it's a Thursday. Lucky for us it wasn't tomorrow. Which would be Friday the 13th. But not to worry today, we've got plenty of great things that we want to talk with you about. Of course, we've got a whole ton, and I mean a whole ton, of great music, some of the oldies, some of the new ones, some of the in-between, and many, many, many that we just love to play. Of course, I've got the extended weather forecast for you upcoming special events, some breaking news, other headlines, and so much more. Remember, you can listen to us streaming 24 hours a day on the iHeart Radio Network, and at least 40 other platforms, and seven days, 24 hours a day. We're almost at the 400 mark. We'll be bringing that to you within a week or two. And we're very, very excited. In fact, we're so excited. We're gonna play some music. We're gonna kick it off right now with some great music. We'll be back here in a moment. And we got a big show. For the Thursday morning.
SPEAKER_10She's more than just a pretty face and a late night bar, more than just a pair of tight jeans. Sittin' in your car. She's more than a last call, kiss, or a one-night stand. Remember, boy, you weren't the first to hold her hand. She's somebody's daughter, she's somebody's everything. She's somebody's little girl, even if she's grown up and moved away. She's somebody's whore. She's somebody's baby. And if you don't treat her right, her won't be the only heart you'll break in. She's somebody's daughter. Her daddy bought her her first car, taught her how to drive, scared her seen her prominent under that porch, let her mama out away the tear. She somebody's dog. She's somebody's baby. She somebody's little curly bunny. She's gonna do it. She's somebody's gone. She's somebody's baby. Maybe don't treat her at first won't be the only option break. She's somebody's dog. She's somebody's daughter. She's a picture old man up above a fireplace. She's pigtails blowing out candles on a birthday cake. She's a driving off to college, tear in her mama's eyes. Yeah, she's a daddy's girl. Better treat her out. She's somebody's daughter. She's somebody's daughter. Yeah. She's somebody's home. She's somebody's baby. If you don't treat her at first, won't be the only odd breaking. She's somebody's daughter. She's somebody's daughter. Yes, she's somebody's daughter. She's somebody's daughter. It can happen any moment without reason all right. It might be right around the corner, or it'll come up from behind a picture that I thought would fade, but I still clearly see when a third of you catches up with me. It can happen on a Sunday drive. Sky above a shade of blue. Heading down some lonesome highway. My aftermath goes by all last me. When it's out of you come to me away to a better place in time. Sometimes you can find me when I'm in bed asleep. When a thought of you catches up with me, when a thought of you catches up with me, when I thought of you catches up with me If I die young, bury me inside. Lay me down on a bed of roses, sink me in the river. I don't send me away with the words of a love song. Uh-oh, uh-oh. Lord, make me a rainbow, shall then I'm a mother. She'll know I'm safe with you and she stands under my colours. Oh life ain't always what you think it oughta be. No, ain't even grave, but she buries her baby. The sharp enough of a judgment.
SPEAKER_11Just enough time. If I die, bury me to die, lay me down on a better frozen, take me in the river. I don't spend me away with the words of a dog.
SPEAKER_10Just enough time. And I'll be wearing white. When I come into your kingdom on the screen, that's the ring. Never know that never been but it's true, and that's when he was going back. And it's a boy here and tell it to me forever. Forever, could be several five. So put on your best boys, and I wear my pearls. What I never did is done. I pin it on my flat, so no, I sell them for a dollar. They're worth so much more after I'm a goner, and maybe then you'll hear the words I've been singin'.
SPEAKER_11Funny when you're dead, how people start a listen If I die young, better be instead, maybe dad, bed of roses, take me to the river at dawn, take me away, that's in your bucket, give it time when you don't die, just die. We just enough time So put on investment right now.

We've got your favorite new hits, some of those good old hits, indie music, gospel, bluegrass, and so much more here on Highway 98. You may have heard about this and might even be aware of it because uh in recent years it's been in the news more often than I can remember in quite some time. Over in Louisiana, the Louisiana Department of Health Besides themselves, to be honest with you, five people have died for this year from life. All the patients had the same underlying health conditions. Like I said, this bacteria normally occurs in naturally warm coastal waters. Uh usually from May through October when the temperatures rise. But it can be found elsewhere. And you can contact it in several different ways. Unfortunately, in some of these life-threatening illnesses, we see patients that not only require intensive care, but they also often have an amputation. Usually an arm or leg or uh a foot. And it's very, very deadly. Now in Louisiana, they encourage people to stay out of brush or salt water if they have any open wounds, including custom grapes, recent surgical wounds, or piercings. A lot of people have those piercings. Cover wounds with a waterproof manager. They may come into contact with coastal water, raw seafood, or raw seafood uses. Let me tell you folks, swimming in a mobile bay and places like that can open those exposures to you. There's a lot of bacteria in those waters. We don't think about it. But it is the case. Wash your wools thoroughly with soap and water after possible exposure when in doubt go to the ER. Cook all seafood thoroughly, particularly for people who are pregnant, immune to compromise, or have liver or stomach conditions. Wash your hands with soap and water after handling any raw seafood. A lot of people eat mussels and you know, all sorts of seafood that's not cooked, and that is uh i it could be a problem. Keep cooked seafood separate from raw seafood. And use it. People, if you're in a high-risk route, you know who you are. You should wear protective clothing and footwear anytime that you enter any coastal or brackish water to avoid touches. This is not limited to Louisiana. We've seen it throughout the Southeast, and like I said, it's even occurred at a water park, uh Whitewater in Charlotte, North Carolina. You just don't know. Be safe out there. There's a lot of things in the water that we don't even know what's there.
SPEAKER_10Your daddy had a lake house, he had me painted that summer sophomore year. Said I could stay for free. A couple buddies, a couple weeks. You rolled in in a little red Honda and headed straight for the pier. Tank top and cut off jeans. A little pack stun underneath. Who knew it was about to be? Stun, stun, burn, stun, step perfect. All that crash step. Turn up starters the color of your eyes till the day turn in. Two turns with a jar. Turn that bone off into a bar. And then we pass the guitar around the fire to each other on one stone. But one another. We were under the family grab and stuff. Let's stop.
SPEAKER_05Moments away. One of the many messages and um news items and various emails that we received is asking that you join in getting the trash out of the splash. Come on down to Fear Hope and keep it beautiful by participating in the 39th annual Alabama Coastal Cleanup. Now that's gonna be on Saturday, September the 19th. So two months away, giving you plenty of time to mark it on your calendar. 8 a.m. They want everybody to gather around down at the Fair Hope Pier. Whether you're signing up as an individual or you're bringing a whole group, your efforts will definitely make a difference in protecting our local waterways and shorelines. Gather your friends, your family, your co-workers, or a civic group. And spend the morning giving back to our community. Now it's just not in your home, it's all along the Gulf Coast. You'll be able, no matter where you live along the Gulf Coast, to be part of this annual event. Because not only is it gonna make you feel better, it's gonna make the whole community look better. Again, that's quite a ways out. September the 19th of Saturday morning, beginning at 8 a.m. Right here at Coastal Alabama's Highway 98 Radio, a Blue Ram media station.
SPEAKER_08I can love you in the morning. I can love you. I can love you even I can love you ever sick. I can love you with all my heart. The heart is hardest.
SPEAKER_10I just came back.
SPEAKER_08I can write a thousand letters all a hundred times a day. Try to drown my sorrow at the bar. I can go down to the church, get on my knees and pray, but it still won't change the way things really are. Won't bring you back to me. I can love you with my heart. The heart is party.
SPEAKER_11I just can't love you.
SPEAKER_08I can love you for all my work.
SPEAKER_10I just can't love you. I'm going out. Someone too. I won't be sorry for me. I'm getting drunk, but I'd much rather be somewhere with you. Laugh loud carrier. Going around Saturday night, make fun of me. Singing my song at a hotel room. It's a turn you wants to pick me up at 3 a.m. You're fighting, your mama gets I go, I go, I go somewhere with you. Yeah I won't stay outside your house. Wait for the lights to go out. Call a banana to rescue me. Climb a little bit when I'd much rather sleep Somewhere with you like we did on the beach last time when the rain came down. We took cover down in your car, I'll find the field. Laid me down, whispered in my air, I hate my life. Hold on to me, all you do is I mean I'll go, I'll go, I'll go. You see me I'm all down. It looks like burning down You all night, and I'll put in my home. I'm always somewhere with you lack alone, come around, come around, standing down make fun, you must come up, turn you all back, I'm gonna be able to do it.
SPEAKER_05And depending on where you live, right now in the area, you could be seeing some thunderstorms. Uh 45% chance right now moving through parts of the county. This is gonna remain until early uh this morning. Uh definitely gonna move out probably by noontime, and we will experience some sunshine highs about 92 degrees for the rest of today. The overnight right at about 80 degrees wind blowing out of the west southwest at about 12 to 15 miles per hour. Tomorrow is gonna look much better. We're gonna have mostly sunshine for the entire day with that slight chance of maybe an afternoon shower, as we often get here along the Gulf Coast. 93. It's gonna be hot and muggy will be the temperature high tomorrow. Wind coming out of the west at 10 to 12 miles per hour. And the overnight it's still gonna be warm and muggy, 81 degrees. But that's how it is here along the Gulf Coast. Moving into the weekend, Saturday the 15th, and uh Saturday the 15th and Sunday the 16th. Um we're looking at isolated thunderstorms or scattered thunderstorms throughout the area. 92-93 will be the high on both Saturday and Sunday, with the overnight between 80 and 81. About a 40% chance of thunderstorms on both days, and we can see even some more isolated storms coming in the overnight on Sunday. Wind both days blowing from the west-southwest at about 9 miles per hour. It's gonna be uh about 9394. Things are gonna start heating up even more with wind coming out of the west-southwest at about 12 miles per hour, the overnight 82 degrees. Tuesday, unfortunately, it's gonna be hotter. It could even reach 95 actual degrees with the overnight 82 to 83 wind once again coming out of the west-southwest. At about 12 miles per hour. Once again, we do have about a 20% chance of some rain, showers, nothing major, just enough to make it more humid. Wednesday and Thursday, we're looking at about a 26% chance of rain on both days. Mostly sunny, perfectly cloudy. Okay, we're gonna have some sunshine, we're gonna get a mix of clouds, and we're gonna have some rain. 94 on Wednesday and Thursday. Winds coming out of the west at about 10 to 12, and hot steaming the overnight, 81, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Once again, isolated or scattered thunderstorms all three days. About a 35% chance temperatures on both Friday, Saturday, moving 93, 94, 92 on Sunday, which really isn't a whole bunch more. Wind coming out in the southwest at about 10 miles per hour. One of the latest updated forecast for you when we get back in the studio on Monday. A run for their money. They tried everything, but each word they were not. Eventually they did get it last food and uh brought back to wherever it came from, but it was quite the spectacle. In fact, it showed up on all the social media platforms, YouTube, yeah. Every once in a while the cops have to go above and beyond their real job. That must have been quite the sight to see. SPEAKER_10Can't put my finger on it. Face a sight, out of mind. Since you left, I'm going out of mind. No matter if I watch your own five Jason Shafts.
SPEAKER_03Oh no wound your kids, I feel your touch. I think I got about as much chance of catching you as I do the well. I never did what it even goes for. There you are, and here I go. Round and round in circles once again. It's like this house is gone. Can't wrap my arms around it. Can't put my finger on it.
SPEAKER_10I don't try, I don't mind. Since you left alone, I don't mind.
SPEAKER_11No matter from chasing I got a little bit of a move all like this, I'll be on the back.
SPEAKER_03I'll tell you, I'm chasing shadows on the wall. It's like this house is home. Can't wrap my arms around, can't put my fingers on it.
SPEAKER_10They stay out of sight, out of mind. Since you left, I'm going out of mind. No matter if I like to run or off, I'm chasing shadows on the wall. Chasing shadows on the wall. I can stand with the weight of the world on my shoulders. I can fight with the toughest of the song I can laugh in the face of all my insecurity Anytime, anywhere, anything I'm strong enough But New York holding me like this Uh asleep lost in your stuff baby it's old I'm helplessly, hopelessly, breathlessly, falling in love So the consequence to what it will do us I don't care Let the star stand is witness to it all Say the word and tonight I will follow you anywhere I just can't pretend anymore I'm too sturdy like this.

SPEAKER_10Cause you'll see cowboys and cabins where they belong. No need to wonder where they go when they're gone. The young girl's hearts are here stole. They born a little while. I live a little reckless, but don't die for a second. There'll be cowboys in heaven. Sticking it out when times get rough, and we're long for that one day, an angel comes down, takes our breath away. Us boys. We ain't all that bad, I reckon. Cause you'll see cowboys in heavens where they belong. No need to wonder where they go. When they're gone, it's kinda treasure, ain't diamonds. Sure ain't gold. A young girl's heart's on if stole. They're born a little while. I live a little reckless, but don't die for a second. There'll be cowboys in heaven. I know a bunch down in Texas and a few out west. Ain't no doubt when they lay on the rest. There'll be cowboys in heaven. You'll see cowboys in heavens where they belong. Only the water where they go when they're gone. Sky treasure and diamonds, sure, ain't gold. Young girls' hearts are here stole. They're born a little while. I live a little rigs, but don't die for a second. There'll be cowboys in heaven. Cowboys in heaven. Nothing special about it. A field fire party. Truck circled around it. Me and the guys with no damn plants. Moon in the sky, crushing some cans, nothing going down. Yeah, the kind you forget about. And then you lit up my phone. See you were coming a little later on. Can't imagine a word when you don't. Cause leaning on the side of my shabby. I was feeling like the luckiest guy. Like the stars were fallin' just right. It could have been just me and the guys win the trunk bed full of empties. But you took the same old night. I lived a thousand times and made it a memory. Cause the wind that you were smiling, dancing up on the tailgate. Got me thinking I wish that you look at me that way. I was done. That was us making the first one. I can't forget about. Yeah, I still remember now. When you lit up my phone. See you were coming on a little later on. I can't imagine a world where you don't cause leaning on the side of my shitty. I was feeling like the luckiest guy. Like the stars were falling just a right. Could have been just me and the guy to where the trunk had all of empty. I left the fountain. We got a million more to go. Cause every moment I live. See you were coming a little later on. And I can't imagine a world where you don't. Cause I leaned in and girl, you let me. I was feeling the luckiest guy. Like the stars were falling just a right. It could have been just a week and the guy with a track bed full of empty. But you took a street online. I left the found and made it a memory.
unknownYou made it a memory.

You gon' miss me when I'm gonna be a little bit more good through the motion. All I hear are alive. Now I get this and feeling when I look into your eyes. You gon' miss me when I better kiss me, gon' miss me when I gon' miss me when I'm gone. You better kiss me gon' miss me, you gon' miss me when I go. Top shelf, high class, pretty. You got that style, so classic, and everybody knows you have it. You got a Hollywood, smile but a heart like Texas. But I'll never figure out just what you look best in. You look good and good, rubber, good, good on the big round, good and nothing, good and now you lookin' so good, look good, climbing upin' on a major kicking back in my lap with a cold beer. Don't stick with everyone around here to stay. I look good with you, look good with me. You got that thing about you. Turn every head around, and I don't know if you know it. Cause if you do go, you sure don't show it. And I keep falling more in love. It ain't just because you look good, little farm down.
SPEAKER_01Rip currents cause an estimated 100 deaths each year in the United States. In 2021, five of these deaths were on the Gulf Coast. Rip currents are the number one ruther-related killer at the beaches along the northern Gulf Coast. The number of rip current fatalities on these beaches is more than the fatalities of flooding, tornadoes, lightning, and tropical storms or hurricanes combined. Learn the facts. Before heading out to the beach, check current beach conditions and know what each flag means. Always swim near a lifeguard. Rip currents are narrow currents that flow away from the beach. If you notice you're being pulled away from the beach and are swimming and getting tired, you may be in a rip current. Think of it like a treadmill that you can't turn off. You want to step to the side of it, don't swim against the current, try to swim across it in a direction following the shoreline. Rip currents do not pull you under, but may take you as far out as a football field so people can tire quickly. The most important thing is to stay calm. If you can't escape the current, float or calmly tread water. Wave for help if you can. Rip current's strength eventually subsides and may even take you closer to shore. If you see someone caught in a rip current, call 911 or get a lifeguard and throw something that floats towards the victim. For more information, please visit www.visitalbeaches.com slash safety.
SPEAKER_05Here we go again. We're packing up the family. Throwing the cooler in the car and heading out of town for a little bit. We're gonna have fun all day long with the family. Welcome back and home bed today. We're dangerous.
SPEAKER_09I knew what I would like to do. I was both both.
SPEAKER_02She ain't gonna be all right. Cause I could tell she'd be going through a living hell and die. I wouldn't be there by her side. And Lord, I felt so bad as I sat and watched her cry. Thinking how I was moving on, and she was barely getting by. Look at what I've done to her. Look at how I made her feel. I gave back her heart the broken part. She got the wrong end of the deal. And look at what it's done to me. You gotta know it tears me up. I gave it everything I had, and Lord, it just wasn't enough. Hurting her like this seems so wrong. Yeah, look at what I've done to her. Now she's alone. I saw her out last night, and she was having a good time. That girl, it looks like she's doing fine. But then I saw a man walk up and take her by the hand and die. Oh god, I almost died. And then it hit me. She didn't really need me. I just sat there for a while. Until I finally smiled. You look at what I've done to her. And look at how I made her feel. She's found somebody new. And look who took the time to heal. And look at what it's done to me. Gotta know it tears me up. Do it walked away from the love we made and just leave it in a cloud of dust. And now it's got me thinking, maybe I was wrong. After all the things I've done to her. Now she drowned up and said hello. She said it's good to see her. But hey, I gotta go. Look at how I made her feel. She's standing tall, she's got it all. Got the world at her heels. And look at what it's done to me. Yeah, look at how it makes me hurt. If I can go back now, I swear somehow I'd find a way to make it work. Ain't life funny. Now I'm the one alone. Yeah, look at what I've done to me. She's gone.
SPEAKER_07Colorado thought he knew me well, but hit the ground and it broke the spell. And early stay in Texas didn't get me anywhere. Indiana didn't do me wrong, but just knew that I didn't be wrong. Never gave him much of a chance to be fair. I would always back my bag saying low before they could find me out. I would always hit the road before they could find me down. And when I tell you I'm always strong, and then I'm never gonna feel at home. Listen to me, you know better, baby. I never leave in Tennessee I better win a nice on the golden coast, but I got a feeling that it might get cold, tryna make it through the night so far for me I would always take my back say I will always sit before they can tell you I'm then I'm never gonna feel listen to me, you know better. I never believed in ten I never believed in tennis Never, just bend this right, the right, never, just bend this right, I am I would always beg my legs before they could find me out I would always hit the road before they can find me out when I tell you I'm a rolling stone Then I'm never gonna feel out Don't listen to me, you no better baby. I never leave in Tennessee, don't listen to me, you no better baby.
SPEAKER_11I never leave in Tennessee I never leave in Tennessee And once again, just like that.
SPEAKER_05We're already wrapping up the show, another one in the industry, and uh we have to rain away, and of course. We could talk about what you're doing in the radio, we could be talking about Europe, we could be talking about it, everything.
