In celebration of such a bonkers movie, the crew has decided to cut loose and let the alcohol flow. Tune in to see how the quickly, or slowly, things spiral out of control.
Welcome back, all you on jazz. It was happening. You knew it was happening. Yes. How's everyone doing out there? Welcome to Little Bracket of Horrors. We got a fun episode in store for you guys. Shelly, why don't you tell them what we got in store for him?
SPEAKER_02Okay. So, by the way, I'm Shelly.
SPEAKER_07I'm Matt. There you go. And I'm Derek.
SPEAKER_02And we're um doing the movie The Visitor.
SPEAKER_07Visitor, 1979. There are a ton of movies called The Visitor. Yeah. So we had to narrow it down. But yeah, it was a nice movie. A sci-fi horror. A sci-fi horror.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, definite sci-fi horror. But we wanted to change it up a little bit, have a little fun. So we are gonna get drunk.
SPEAKER_07As you can tell by mad sipping this episode in June Life.
SPEAKER_02So we're hoping this just progressively um gets better for you all.
SPEAKER_04Better and better.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04If not, it will for us at least. Yeah, we're gonna have a good time.
SPEAKER_02We're gonna have a good time anyway. So um we're gonna kick this off with a shot.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. And then um Do we what so what is the shot, Shelley? You point out.
SPEAKER_02We are drinking Jack Daniels Fire. Jack's my Daniel's fire.
SPEAKER_07So we're gonna clink it on air, right?
SPEAKER_02Ready? Yep.
SPEAKER_07Far away. There we go. There we go.
SPEAKER_02Oh, Derek.
SPEAKER_04Derek don't. Oh, it Jesus. Tastes like fire.
SPEAKER_02It's smoother than fireball.
SPEAKER_07It is smoother than fireball.
SPEAKER_02By the way, the guy who I bought this from told me that his mother drinks drink Jack Daniels. And I said, I know I'm not old enough to be your mother fool.
SPEAKER_07Rude son of a bitch. We know where he works. We do.
SPEAKER_02Come in for you, register guy at the liquor store.
SPEAKER_03Register guy.
SPEAKER_07So I know we always started off with anyone watch anything scary or anything scary happen to anyone. So does anyone have a story or you know want to talk about something they watched?
SPEAKER_02Uh no, I've been watching a lot of Oscar movies this week. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_07Nice.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so I did see um the last one I watched was the tragedy of Macbeth. And it was actually pretty not not too bad. I can't follow Shakespeare, but um Denzel Washington was good in really cool black and white white, but um the witches in it, the three-headed witches or whatever they are. I don't like I said, I don't know Shakespeare, so don't come for me. Yeah. Um they were really cool and kind of creepy and scary.
SPEAKER_07So I I remember reading Macbeth, I think it was like 10th or 11th grade in English class. No, I didn't read it on my own, trust me. But even it was for class.
SPEAKER_04Even even if it was for class, I still wasn't. Oh, right, true. True.
SPEAKER_07The the champion of GEDs.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, buddy.
SPEAKER_07That's right. Alright, so you guys are ready to get into it?
SPEAKER_02I'm I'm ready. Are you ready?
SPEAKER_04Dig up the bones.
SPEAKER_07And in this, you know, Matt's just gonna give us a brief little synopsis on the film. We don't want to go into crazy details because you know, the idea is you guys watch the films with us. So, Matt, take us on a journey.
SPEAKER_04All right, in our dig up the bones segment, like we said, we watched The Visitor. It's a 1979 horror science fiction movie, and it is about an ancient intergalactic warrior arrives on Earth to put a stop to a demonic eight-year-old child's plot to reproduce Satan's next generation of evil. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_07Yes. Yeah, right. So this was so this film was fun. And we're gonna get into it, aren't we?
SPEAKER_02We are gonna get into it.
SPEAKER_07So I say we just jump right into the next one, or do you guys want to say anything about it before we get into our roundtable discussions?
SPEAKER_02I mean, as always, we watched a trailer, and I'm not gonna lie, we all kind of were like, oh god. Here we go again. And now in hindsight, the trailer is practically the whole movie. You like watch the trailer again, and I'm like, that was the ending. You showed the ending in the trailer. So if you want a quick synopsis of what this movie's all about, just watch a trailer. We actually post it on our socials, so you can just go there and watch it.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, please.
SPEAKER_04It's an it's an almost two-hour movie. Just watch the trailer.
SPEAKER_02Yes, you'll get it. Uh jokingly, um, we all well, not jokingly, we all fell asleep at least once.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02Yeah watching this movie. But you know, it's it that's what makes us this great is uh we're all gonna have different opinions, I think, still as we go forward.
SPEAKER_04But uh say we get into it.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, let's get into it. But the idea is every every segment we take a shot, so we gotta clink it again.
SPEAKER_04This time without you know, it would help if I moved closer. Yeah, you're gonna do that. I think that'd be a good idea, right? Here we go.
SPEAKER_07All right, so chin chin.
SPEAKER_04Ching.
unknownAlright.
SPEAKER_07Ah, down. Oh, jeez.
SPEAKER_04It's like when you were a kid and you had to take some medicine.
SPEAKER_07I'm a baby. I'm a baby with this stuff. I'm just a little guy. Yeah, exactly. A break? Yeah.
unknownAlright.
SPEAKER_02Next segment is called Feast.
SPEAKER_07Like I said, we have a round table discussion. We talk about overall pros, overall cons in the movie, favorite lines, most enjoyable, and most annoying characters, and then uh favorite kills slash scare. Anybody want to take it away?
SPEAKER_02I can. We start with pros or cons. Pros or cons.
SPEAKER_07We're gonna start with pros, Shelly.
SPEAKER_02The soundtrack is one of my pros. And let me tell you why. Um the soundtrack. My dad watched a bunch of these kind of movies growing up. So it reminded me of the movies my dad watched, like The Wizards and like Jesus Christ Superstar, and like the very like synthetic guitar guitar. I don't know. I really enjoyed the music, and it was like dramatic for all the wrong reasons, and I guess I liked it even more.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02They would just zoom in on a guy who like barely had a face, and they'd be like, Bada pa! I know I'm yelling. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was really dramatic for no reason. So that was one of my pros. I did like the whole like good versus evil dynamic. Yes. So like one child who's apparently possessed by the s sateen, and evil has their people to work with this girl, and the good has their people to work with this good. So I did like the good versus evil push and pull dynamic of it. And then um I didn't hate the cast. I think it's some of the best acting we've seen um out of some of the movies we've had. Agreed. Agreed. There was some I don't know.
SPEAKER_05Like I said, you I think I'll let you finish. Right, right.
SPEAKER_02But the the kid who actually didn't really do much but this, I looked to see if she was in anything else. And I don't think there was really anything else she had done. But she was good.
SPEAKER_04I think she has a I think she has like an eye line business or something.
SPEAKER_07All I found, all I found was a quote from her where she was talking about in the scenes where she was getting smacked. Yep. I was gonna I was gonna yeah. No, it's okay. Go ahead. No, go ahead. But she was literally she was really getting smacked in the scene. Oh she said, uh, oh my gosh, who was it that played?
SPEAKER_04It was Shelly Winters.
SPEAKER_07Yes, thank you. Shelly Winters was out there.
SPEAKER_04Jane Phillips.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, she was playing Jane Phillips and she was actually smacking her.
SPEAKER_02I was like, oh shit. That's awesome. For some reason, I I I believe that. I didn't believe that. But uh, those were my pros. Those are my pros. Uh Matt, I know you don't have a lot.
SPEAKER_04So I I really don't. So I'll I'm gonna go ahead and just let everyone know. I w I watched this movie for the first time. Like I like we talked about initially, I'm new to the game. So uh I was pissed. Yes watching the movie. I got pissed. So what I did is I was like, I sent Shelly and Derek a text message, and I was like, we've gotta fucking talk. I can't take this shit anymore. I was I was pissed.
SPEAKER_07We're gonna we're gonna change this to just torture mad podcasts.
SPEAKER_04Right. So I did. I I I texted them both that, and then uh we're like, all right, conference call. So we three-way'd it. We got on the conference call for some reason we had a three-way, yeah.
SPEAKER_07We did, and I was in the drive-thru at call version.
SPEAKER_02And that was the only one I was at time, and it was really awkward.
SPEAKER_04I thought we were FaceTime and I thought we were friends.
SPEAKER_02So we're like, can you not put your face on the thing? Yeah, it's weird.
SPEAKER_04So I so I called them up and I and I and I complained, but prior to when we once we got together and had the little conversation, I was like, listen, like I said before, I'm new at this. Yeah, it took me a moment to just calm myself down. Yeah. Because I was I was like, I'm like, this is fucking ridiculous. Yeah. So so, anyways, so that being said, yeah.
SPEAKER_07I couldn't, I couldn't, you know, we've been brothers since I was born. Right, we've known each other for a little while. A little bit. Just a little bit. So when you sent the text, I could feel the heat on it. And I was like, and like in myself, I was just like, oh man, what did I do to him? And then Shelly was great because you were like the mediator. It's like, it's not that bad. And I was like, okay, we're alright. The ship is okay.
SPEAKER_02I kind of had to like remind us that we got through New York Ripper and the movies were done. Well that Henry, and I was like, this is and I had already kind of started watching it. I'm like, Matt, we're gonna be good. Yeah, yeah. We're gonna be okay.
SPEAKER_04So yeah, so I was I was very annoyed. Um, and then like I did say too, you know, you watch it a couple more times. Again, I fell asleep those couple other times that I watched it.
SPEAKER_07You fell asleep more than once. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_04I think every fucking time I watched it, I fell asleep in some parts, and I'm like, It's the soothing music. Oh yeah, it's the it's that that's it. It's not the long fucking scenes. So like extremely long with nothing going on.
SPEAKER_06So, anyways, yes, continuing on, pro yeah, you've only done your fucking pros didn't do a shit on it so far.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Fucking give us some pros, extremely bitch. There we go. My pros are gonna be very quick. I bet they are. I thought the story was good. I like the story. I thought the idea was good of having this demonic possessed girl trying to corrupt and turn all the turn all the younger kids into these evil uh people. And then I thought the other thing so far of all the movies, this movie we watched had the best one liners.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god, yes.
SPEAKER_07There are tons.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, there was we'll and we'll get it we'll get into that.
SPEAKER_07Yes, we'll get into that.
SPEAKER_04So that's so those are my two. Yeah. So go ahead, Dan.
SPEAKER_07But she got so just so you're pro, she was like her whole purpose was just to get her mom to have another kid.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07And they wanted a boy, so I and I was teenaging the cults, they wanted we want boy. They wanted Barbara to have a boy, so and they were convinced that Barbara was like the vessel.
SPEAKER_02They were convinced Barbara was a vessel. She's created this evil girl, she's gotta do a boy. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So all right. So again, yeah, storyline was great.
SPEAKER_02I think if you picked out the meat and potatoes of the storyline and like made it like 30 minutes shorter, you could have had something, yeah even better.
SPEAKER_07Anyways, go ahead. All right, your pros. So my pros, uh, just like Shelly said, I think there wasn't a bad actor in the bunch.
SPEAKER_02I thought everyone's really well-known actors.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, it was it was solid. There are a lot of a lot of 1970s well-known actors.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well, I mean, Lance Henrison went on to do alien. Phenomenal tons of pumpkin headshot.
SPEAKER_04Shelly Winters is a is a huge classic.
SPEAKER_02I was like, that's Nana, Nana Rose.
SPEAKER_04But I I think she was even like Emmy nominated or something like that. I think.
SPEAKER_02But the girl that played for this book.
SPEAKER_04I thought I saw no no no no I was like, really? No, not for this movie.
SPEAKER_07The girl that played Katie though, Paige Connor. I thought, you know, she she was fantastic at now. I haven't seen her as far as like I'm IMBD on anything else.
SPEAKER_04Well, that's the a lot of the actors in this movie, and a lot of the actors in these 1970s, you know, science fiction sort of movies, other than the hen uh the guy from Alien, I forget his name you just say.
SPEAKER_02But like Shelley Winters was a 1950s, 1960s actor. She was on the tail end.
SPEAKER_07Right.
SPEAKER_02And so was John Houston. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07John Houston.
SPEAKER_02He was a 50s and 60s well-known actor.
SPEAKER_07John Houston played Jersey, the the intergalactic good guy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and then the guy who played the detective is a well-known 50s and 60s actor.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, a lot of them, yeah, a lot of them were. And then there was a guy in there, too, um, who was who's been in uh a few years. The detective was Glenn Ford. Yes. Hot dog.
SPEAKER_06We did it. We did it together.
SPEAKER_02Let me finish my prose. Okay, go ahead, go ahead.
SPEAKER_01I'm still worried about it. Just starting off the rails.
SPEAKER_04Hey, are we due for another shot?
SPEAKER_02Also, no, we have to get to the next segment.
SPEAKER_07Oh, do you need a refill? No, no, no.
SPEAKER_04I was saying I'm pointing to him with a hand.
SPEAKER_02No, but you've got to keep some of this in.
SPEAKER_07No, I it's all gonna be sloppy.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely, right?
SPEAKER_07It's all gonna be very sloppy. So visually stunning. I thought a lot of this stuff was cool. Like the beginning scene, even though it was like, you know, in today's standards, herky jerky. Yeah, but I thought it was really cool. That was Jesus.
SPEAKER_02As far as like I know, I went back, I was like, that is actually Jesus.
SPEAKER_04You're talking about the beginning scene, that's where I was cutting you off. But yeah, that was Jesus.
SPEAKER_07No, it wasn't. Jesus was in the second scene. Sexy Jesus was in the second scene.
SPEAKER_04What do you mean, sexy Jesus?
SPEAKER_07The first scene was where uh Jersey was just in the desert.
SPEAKER_04No, no, no, no, no. I'm talking about when he's talking to all the kids. That was that was the second scene. Okay, whatever. Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_07I will fist fight you out of the city.
SPEAKER_04Of course, the guy who's like 80 years old roaming the desert, he wasn't Jesus.
SPEAKER_07That was like a prologue scene. That was like a setup. Any hoots. One of my pros was that second scene with sexy Jesus. I thought that monologue was awesome. He gave us a background on Zateen. But we got all that information as far as like, you know, Zateen before his death by the bird army or whatever it was. But he impregnated uh Earth women to carry on his wicked, you know, plans. Yeah. So I thought that was cool. It was an awesome setup. And uh I forget the actor's name, it was Nico something, but it was phenomenal. The actor played. And I was I was lost in his beautiful Jesus.
SPEAKER_06He was so stunning.
SPEAKER_07The guy that was stunning as well.
SPEAKER_04The guy that played Jesus was in the original D Django.
SPEAKER_07Oh, yes, PTD. Yeah, I think it's a good one.
SPEAKER_04And he was also in the and he was also in uh D Django and Chain with Jamie Foxx.
SPEAKER_07Oh, really? He was in there in the remake? Yeah. Oh, I didn't know.
SPEAKER_04He was in there in the bar scene. He was up and took a shot with Jamie Foxx right next to him. That's cool.
SPEAKER_07I always love when they do that with like remakes when they give a nod to the original. Yeah, I do appreciate it. But that's it for my peros. So let's go ahead and cons. Move on. Shelly.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I can take it. Take the cons. Take the con. Take it. I'll take the cons.
SPEAKER_07Jeez.
SPEAKER_02Sorry guys. I don't know if you picked up on my uh This episode is gonna be like three hours long. Alright. Uh so I just wrote it's long. Like, really long. And slow at times. Yeah. So um that was one of my so basically it takes you out of it. When you get into those scenes that are really long and slow, like you're like, I do not know where the evil or what's happening. Why are why are you slowly rolling your wheelchair around the kitchen talking to Shelly Winters?
SPEAKER_04What the fuck?
SPEAKER_02And why does Shelly Winters have fake birds? Anyways, it's just really long.
SPEAKER_04Wait, can we talk about that scene? Because I was gonna read it. I'm not ready to unpack that scene yet, Matt. We can get there. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, we can get there though.
SPEAKER_02Um so I uh I was like really confused why the guy John Houston, like, there's all this supernatural stuff, and he's like, I'll take a plane.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, the good guy.
SPEAKER_02Like you live in heaven with Jesus and you arrived on a plane with a passport.
SPEAKER_07So why is there all this supernatural stuff and people are taking public transportation? And then he set up that like intergalactic runway with like the army of Mr. Cleans. The army of Mr.
SPEAKER_02Cleans.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, yeah. Oh, that was confusing. But sorry, I'm stepping up.
SPEAKER_02He took a plane. I was like, why didn't you just like teleport? You have to go through customs.
SPEAKER_06Why didn't I think of that? That's hilarious.
SPEAKER_02Why'd you have to go through customs? Anyways, um, all the bird stuff. Oh, there were so many birds. Yes, if you're triggered by birds in the least, don't watch this movie. There's a lot of you're a pretty bird, you're a pretty bird, and there's a lot of birds.
SPEAKER_07It was part of the backstory with as far as how Zatine got knocked out.
SPEAKER_02But again, why was a lot of bird noise?
SPEAKER_04So it's like, I'm a pretty bird.
SPEAKER_02I'm a pretty bird.
SPEAKER_01Exactly.
SPEAKER_02Um then I'm a pretty bird. Was I drunk when I wrote my notes? That's the question. So my last con was they never really explained why he was a visitor, why he hangs with the bald guys and the kids and Jesus.
SPEAKER_07What's his backstory?
SPEAKER_02I didn't understand why they were even there. What did they do?
SPEAKER_07He was just, he's he's just Jersey. I don't even know how to say his last name.
SPEAKER_02Why did the Mr. Clean guys even show up?
unknownWho are those?
SPEAKER_02Who were Mr. Clean guys?
SPEAKER_07Were they the grown-up pupils?
SPEAKER_02Because the the people there's- why is this Jersey guy who seems to be not immortal because he takes public transportation hanging out with Jesus?
SPEAKER_04He was an intergalactic warrior.
SPEAKER_02He takes public transportation. That's what he was. Oh my god. Okay, but he takes he goes through customs at the airport.
SPEAKER_04Anyway, he had to take his belt off just like us.
SPEAKER_07So I think we wrapped up Shelley's cons. Madame.
SPEAKER_04Alright. So alright, I know you guys like the acting again. Here we go. I just put typical 80s acting.
SPEAKER_07It was 1979.
SPEAKER_04Oh my god, one year really?
SPEAKER_07You said 80s. Okay. That's not an 80s. That's 79.
SPEAKER_04You know how to estimate?
SPEAKER_07Yeah, 70s.
SPEAKER_0479. It's close to the 80s. All right, go fuck yourself. The typical 80s acting. And Shelly, just like you, I wrote, long as shit. Could have edit this one hour and 48 movie down to an hour. A lot of those scenes where you're talking about where they're just like the close-up of like that shit.
SPEAKER_02And then the like could have been longer so I could look into Jesus' eyes.
SPEAKER_04Or, you know, they could have made it, you know, instead of a 10-minute fucking wheelchair scene where she's like zipping around her phone room.
SPEAKER_07Poor Barbara.
SPEAKER_04We'll unpack that later, but is that her like like you know how you like she's frantic.
SPEAKER_07She's frantic, so she's just so frantic in a wheelchair.
SPEAKER_04That scene could have been edited down. Derek, you would have done a phenomenal job editing this movie. Really? Yes. Because there was just a lot of don't give them all the credit. There was just a lot of stuff in there that was to me, it was just dead weight. That could have just gone. Too much fat. Way too much fat.
SPEAKER_07I get it. Understood.
SPEAKER_04Um, and then I just said nothing scary at all, besides annoying sounds, like you said, of the birds. Like that shit, like didn't scare me. Just God, do we really? Like, that's not scary. It's just annoying. It's not scary. Absolutely. So that's uh uh yeah, that's I that I guess that those were put there for their jump scares. I mean, yeah, I mean, I don't know. So those are my cons.
SPEAKER_02Awesome.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, I'll jump in. So, first and foremost, I believe when we picked this movie, thank you for coming here today. I got I got excited because I was led to believe that Kareem Abdul Jabbar made a guy. Isn't that him?
SPEAKER_04No, it wasn't those dirty. I have fucking pictures too. It's I have pictures, it is not him. He is in for credits too. He is in the cast.
SPEAKER_07It's not some other black guy, but they're dirty racists from fucking Georgia, and they have no idea who Kareem Abdul Jabbar is. Yes, thank you. Kareem Abdul Jabbar is like a foot taller than that fucking guy.
SPEAKER_02Do you think Kareem sits at home and they're like, I have this movie credit?
SPEAKER_07Oh, is he gonna make sure? I hope he is. He should. It was ridiculous. Yeah. Because uh, was it just me? So there and that I think it was like the third scene where it's the basketball scene where the little uh girl it's very early on.
SPEAKER_02It's like the after they leave Jesus and his beautiful blue eyes.
SPEAKER_04I know.
SPEAKER_02I mean we need a noise just for Jesus.
SPEAKER_04So this is this is cream a dual jabbar, right? Yes, not even that's the guy that they that he's on there.
SPEAKER_07Now Matt has pulled up cream on his phone.
SPEAKER_04There's another picture of cream a dual jabbar, right?
SPEAKER_07Not even close to that guy. That guy is like two feet shorter than that is not fucking cream jabbar. Exactly that.
SPEAKER_02So that was my con with it.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Go ahead, Shelley.
SPEAKER_02But I was just gonna say, to Derek, I'm I'm gonna defend Derek because if I was a horror fan and I was trying to pick out movies and maybe trying to pick some that I hadn't watched, by the way, Shudder wrote this up made it sound like I was excited. Kick ass cold classic. And don't get me wrong, I did not hate it. I mean there's other movies I hate it more, but it's not what Shudder portrayed it to be. That's for sure. So I just wanted to give you some kudos because you if i I don't know if we mentioned this, but Derek did all our movies this year for this season. That may change. But we gave him artistic artistic liberty and um Oh gosh, the Jurassic Park noise.
SPEAKER_07Um The Jurassic Park noise.
SPEAKER_02Anyways Go ahead, continue with cons.
SPEAKER_04Can I just say this?
SPEAKER_07Yeah, go ahead. Go ahead. So we're still on the Crema Dool Jabbar's video. Visitor, right?
SPEAKER_04There it is. I brought it up on my phone in 1979. You scroll through the cast, they've got all the all the head people. Who the fuck's right there? I know that's done. Krima Dul Jabbar. He is not in this movie, people. Do not be fooled.
SPEAKER_02Matt.
SPEAKER_04I was pissed about that. I was excited.
SPEAKER_02Shutter? And like everybody in IMDb. You should report that IMDb.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I know. He should be getting residuals for this movie.
SPEAKER_07I'm equating it to dirty racist white men because they can't tell the difference between black men. He's not in it. Yeah, he's not in the city.
SPEAKER_04So he clearly wasn't in it. Probably more than cream a duel. He's not making shit. Yeah. Poor poor guy.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, he's suffering real hard.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, he is.
SPEAKER_07So also one of my cons was was Shelly's pros, the music. So they had that title track, it was like bum bum bum. It was played way too much. It was used like 20 times throughout the film. I loved it initially. I loved it initially, but it was played way too much, and when there wasn't shit going on, like people were just walking around. I was like, what the fuck? Like it's supposed to be used for to like build suspense, and someone just fucking walking around a uh a fucking downtown. Yeah. It was like I'm just gonna be able to do it.
SPEAKER_04Or just the camera moving in. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07That's nothing against the music. It was a great little score in a cool title track. They just you they overused it for me.
SPEAKER_04The same score for me. Right. Moving on. Moving on.
SPEAKER_07Some of the sections of the movie, like the cutaway and scenes, were just like weird. Like the relationship between like Jersey and the Intergalactic Runway. I I couldn't piece it together. There were like random orbs and lights flashing on the screen.
SPEAKER_02How many times they cut that's that was kind of like my contact. They never really explained the visitor why he was there, what he was doing at the end.
SPEAKER_07So that okay.
SPEAKER_04Well, I think so. Don't get me wrong, I think the visitor, again, the intergalactical warrior, was coming to bring her, because she was she was uh she was like possessed by this demonic well she was a scene and he was bringing her he was bringing her back to his little pupils because at the end of the scene, yes, he is hugging I'm sorry. Yep, sorry.
SPEAKER_07You're spoiling it. Final cut.
SPEAKER_04Don't say anything yet.
SPEAKER_02Um but now all I can think about is Xenon in the 20, like her the Disney Channel movie in Proto Sowa, and he sings this song about intergalactic.
SPEAKER_07I have no idea what that is. I don't know what you're talking about. Xenon, okay, so shout out to Xenon. Is that a smoke set you were just doing? Also, I'm not done with my cons yet. Yeah, you're singing something.
SPEAKER_02Pause.
SPEAKER_07Sorry, guys. Also, I think we need a shot. So that basketball scene where the um Katie had her telekinetic fucking powers and had that explosion. Everyone just cheered. It was like, woo, Atlanta won. What? There was a fucking terrorist attack in the Omni. Atlanta won. There's a fucking explosion. Who is celebrating? Yeah. My team won a basketball team. Some player's hand fucking got blown off. Some guy who supposedly Kareem Abdul Jabbar, who is two feet fucking shorter.
SPEAKER_03Anyways. And a lot blacker. You can put it in and cut it out.
SPEAKER_02I mean, it's one thing that we don't talk about in the comments. That's fine.
SPEAKER_07Alright. I'm so good. Okay, so I'll make one more comment.
SPEAKER_02You have 20 cons.
SPEAKER_07You'll be surprised. Okay, so no spoilers. So uh the detective Jack Durham. Durham the no-knock search he did on the Collins. Oh, just walked right in. That son of a bitch. Yeah. They have rights, you son of a bitch. Don't you dare go in without getting permission. That was it.
SPEAKER_02Alright, so since Feasting Fiends is so long, we're gonna do a shot.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Because we need to keep this going.
SPEAKER_07So favorite. Are we gonna do that? Matt, get your clinker.
SPEAKER_02Oh, well, we don't have to clink every time. We can clink. Let's clink. Okay.
SPEAKER_07Yay. Fire.
SPEAKER_02Can't say shit like that before we.
SPEAKER_04Oh, you can. You can do whatever you can do.
SPEAKER_06I'm starting to regret this idea.
SPEAKER_04A little terrible. We're doing good.
SPEAKER_02We haven't even drinking drink half a bottle.
SPEAKER_05Oh, we are we are strong.
SPEAKER_04Stop being a dude that doesn't like to drink.
SPEAKER_02You're gonna come up with anything better?
SPEAKER_04Nope. Well, I'm not gonna call you that, Shelly. Geez.
SPEAKER_02What'd you say? I'm not complaining.
SPEAKER_04That's just rude.
SPEAKER_02D-dubs is dubs.
SPEAKER_04D dubs. Anyways. I need to move this thing completely out so far.
SPEAKER_07So next up in Feasting Fiends is the is uh the favorite lines. We know this movie's full of them. So Shelly, I want I want you to carry. I hope we all have different lines.
SPEAKER_02Okay. But I'm gonna go with my favorite one.
SPEAKER_01So there's a scene where this truck shows up and there's it essentially What's in that bag over there, Shelly?
SPEAKER_02What do you mean? What do you mean? I don't know. Are we pausing for a second?
SPEAKER_04I think you have to pause.
SPEAKER_02I have this.
SPEAKER_04That's fine.
SPEAKER_02What is I think I grabbed this right? No, I didn't grab this right. We have so much work to do.
SPEAKER_04Oh, let's do that instead.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_04You know what? Here, we'll do this then that do that.
SPEAKER_02No, no. No, I'm not gonna put it together. We will not.
SPEAKER_04Wouldn't you be crazy?
SPEAKER_02We'll do that.
SPEAKER_04Just do that. Okay. You hold that.
SPEAKER_02But mine's almost nine.
SPEAKER_04Okay, then you drink that. I'm not gonna see my wife and son for a week because I'm gonna do it. Oh, I'm loving it. That's McDonald's.
SPEAKER_02Okay, anyways, so there's this whole scene where this truck shows up and there's an intergalactic gangbang. Wow. Deb.
SPEAKER_07Sweet. No, no, no. Barbara.
SPEAKER_02Barbara, sorry.
SPEAKER_07Barbara.
SPEAKER_02Some old lady name. Old lady.
SPEAKER_07So but then it's it's really popular in the 70s for middle-aged women. Now they're old ladies because it's 2022.
SPEAKER_02So then they call it tow truck before the the gangbang.
SPEAKER_04I'm sorry. What is the gangbang scene?
SPEAKER_07What? The fucking truck. They bring her. Where all the people drag her in.
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay. I was the intergalactic gangbang.
SPEAKER_07Right.
SPEAKER_04I was literally in the back. I was literally looking for a gangbang. I got you. Matt would have been much of the movie if you saw that. Wait, what?
SPEAKER_02So then after the gangbang, the two the tow truck people show up. And guy one says, Hey man, this don't look so good. Guy two goes, I know what you mean. And guy one then goes, You know they got a lot of crazy mothers running around out there. And guy two goes, I know where you're coming from. Tell you what, we're gonna check this out real quick. Like, first, because I ain't about to get my butt shot off. First of all, you said your butt shot off. So that was good. But it continues, and guy one goes, You take this one for yourself. I just remembered I ain't supposed to be working tonight, I'm unemployed. That whole exchange between guy one and guy two, favorite. I have another one that I was saying because I think maybe someone one of you might have it.
SPEAKER_04Well, if nobody says it, we'll come back.
SPEAKER_02We'll come back. Yeah. So all right.
SPEAKER_04Well, I have two. So I have the uh detective Jake Durham. He's talking to Katie after he's stalking her.
SPEAKER_06Oh, yeah. Kate Katie was the best. I don't know Katie. I love Katie.
SPEAKER_04As far as acting, like again, I talked about like uh you know typical 80s, 70s acting, whatever.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, where little kids are swearing left and right.
SPEAKER_04She she did she her acting though, but her acting alone, like she was superb. Like she did actually really good.
SPEAKER_07That's why I I was surprised she was in nothing else. Well, she was in like to some like little things here and there. She was in a couple things, yeah. But like she didn't like take off. I I thought she'd go to go ahead, Matt.
SPEAKER_04So Detective Jake Durham says to Katie, says, Now listen to me, Katie. Isn't there something you want to tell me? Katie Collins goes, Yeah, go fuck yourself. Katie, and then uh and then Detective Jake says, Now uh let me ask you just one last question, then I promise I won't ask you anything else. What happened to the gift your aunt gave you for your birthday? Katie says, You better write it down, and she motions him to come closer to her. She whispers in his ear, write up your ass.
SPEAKER_07She didn't say it that nicely though. She's like, write up your ass.
SPEAKER_02That was that was my other one. Oh, was it okay the whole change between Katie and the detective? So those were my favorite. That's awesome.
SPEAKER_04Katie had a lot of great great one-liners, too.
SPEAKER_07I thought like the like number one line as far as like dialogue between two characters was the scene between uh Barbara and Raymond in the in bed after the basketball game. Oh, yeah, you can't. Where there's a terrorist attack and everyone's happy. But anyways, um Barbara said, you know that explosion? I can't get it out of my mind. Raymond says, which explosion? The first the first explosion, one ball, or the second explosion, two balls, because he just had sex. And to be honest, that's like that's a me line. Some bullshit like dumb fucking line. And then um, I also um between Raymond and Barbara as well, I think it was so Jersey came in and uh kind of inserted himself uh into like Katie's He was the babysitter sent him the agency.
SPEAKER_0470-year-old babysitter, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I'm a 38-year-old babysitter, don't judge it.
SPEAKER_04I was gonna say it was a giant gap between you and a 70-year-old baby.
SPEAKER_07So they were they were going to uh equal opportunity, right? Some sort of business date for uh for Raymond. Him and Barbara were in the car, and uh Raymond said, because he was apprehensive about uh Jersey, yeah, babysitting Katie, and he said, uh, you don't think he's a child molester? And Barbara's like, of course not. Uh the the agency screens out their sisters very well. What about you? Aren't you a cripple molester?
SPEAKER_04Oh my god.
SPEAKER_07Raymond was like, well, I would be if you give me the chance.
SPEAKER_05Weirdo. Super creep.
SPEAKER_02This movie was very 1979. As far as that goes. I very nicely said guy one and guy two. Yes. But like the only workers were of a certain still stuck.
SPEAKER_04So Derek, you're seeing just in FYI. I don't know if you know or not, but the exchange between Barbara and Raymond was completely improvised.
SPEAKER_07Absolutely improvised.
SPEAKER_04In the bed was completely improvised. Yeah, that's crazy.
SPEAKER_02Well, then I gotta have I gotta have a conversation with Lance Hengerson next time I see him and say, You're a dirty bastard.
SPEAKER_04I love it. I love it.
SPEAKER_02Because he likes to roam around and just talk to people.
SPEAKER_04Well, where do you see him at?
SPEAKER_02Uh at my convention. I see him at my convention, Spooky Empire. Which is what Spooky Empire. There we go. And uh he was just like waiting for a car last time, and he's walking around to everybody waiting for cars as well, just chatting with them like Lance fucking Henrinson. Yeah. And I'm I'm gonna walk up to him and say, I heard you're you talking about your balls on infra you dirty, dirty, dirty things.
SPEAKER_04You dirty song bitch.
SPEAKER_07I think that covers our favorite lines.
SPEAKER_04I think so.
SPEAKER_07Let's go, uh let's move on through to uh most enjoyable characters. I'm gonna go Shelly, because you kicked off last round, so let's let's keep it going. Shelly.
SPEAKER_02Alright, my favorites were Jersey and Jane. That was John Houston and Shelly Winters.
SPEAKER_04You can let it out, it's okay.
SPEAKER_02I'll try.
SPEAKER_04I already did. And Tears of Happiness.
SPEAKER_02Um basically the two Intergalactic Warriors, because they it comes out that Shelly Winters' character was also working to help protect Barbara. Right. Barbara.
SPEAKER_07She went through the same thing as Barbara. She had to do that.
SPEAKER_02So I really I really like them. I'm I mean, are we surprised that they were good actors? Yeah, they were classically. So I really like them.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they're awesome.
SPEAKER_02Um and Arl mentioned to Lance Hangerson, I didn't hate him. I ain't got a bad rap in this movie. Oh, he's the Sateen Tribal cult round table was like, you're not getting it done. You're not finishing, you're not impregnating him. I'm like, the motherfucker's drying.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, he's a fucking break. A young Lance Hendrickson, he looked good. He was handsome. He was he was a sharp-looking fellow.
SPEAKER_02Alright, so there's my other dimension in my face.
SPEAKER_07Not as sharp as sexy Jesus, but pretty sharp, pretty sharp.
SPEAKER_04So so yeah, so for my enjoyable characters, I really like Katie Collins played by uh Paige Connor. Oh, cool the girl, the little girl. I think of all the people again. I think over the adults who are probably classically trained in this movie, not in this movie, but just in their in their field. I think she like surpassed them. I think I I mean just like to me, to me, just even like the different scenes, like I don't know if there was like a stunt double for her like acrobatics.
SPEAKER_02Like that was I don't know if you I was gonna bring this up here in our final cut, but it was very clearly not her. Really? Oh, cool.
SPEAKER_04And she fooled me. Or they fooled. We'll discuss that. Yeah, sure.
SPEAKER_02But like even like her little nuances, like when she dropped the gun and the mom turned around and looked back to her, and she just kind of shrugged and was like, Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_04When she yeah, exactly. She shot you. Yeah, she just played it. She played it like, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So good.
SPEAKER_04So I thought I liked her a lot, and then I also liked Jane Phillips, uh Shelly Winters as well. Yeah, I thought I thought she was good. Mama's little baby left, short min, short men, mom's little baby left. Yeah, well, of course, the cleaning lady, you know, who's gonna the maid has gotta say that. Looks like Derek's uh a little shy.
SPEAKER_02We don't have any mixers. That's that's okay. I mean, I he's drinking Malibu straight. That's me.
SPEAKER_04Word saying here?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, just a touch. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04You need a little more than that. I gotta I gotta do lawnmower.
SPEAKER_02Have you met Derek?
SPEAKER_04Oh, this is this is one shot, Derek.
SPEAKER_02We're about to go get cheeseburgers. Oh, we have to do that.
SPEAKER_04We're we're doing the whole hassle hoff, huh? We're doing the whole hassle hoff on the floor with the cheeseburger.
SPEAKER_02I'm going to grab the sprite. Sorry, guys.
SPEAKER_04That's okay. We don't need no stinking sprite.
SPEAKER_02So, um favorite characters.
SPEAKER_07Oh, yeah, it's your turn, buddy. Okay. So just like Matt, I enjoyed uh Jane Phillips mostly because of the rapport she built with Barbara. She went she was going through the same stuff, and also when the scene where she was bitch slapping Katie. I think every like, even though Katie was a great character, she had amazing lines. Like, we're all waiting for an adult to beat the fuck out of her. She was a little shit. Yeah, she was. She was ridiculous.
SPEAKER_04Never got in trouble. Yeah, well, never got in trouble.
SPEAKER_02But that's why I also like the dynamic between Jersey, John Houston, yes, and Katie, because he talked to her like, I know what you are.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm I'm gonna make sure you don't go down in flames.
SPEAKER_07Yes, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Just trust me. And she you saw a little bit of human when she started talking to him. And like even that night, she always talked about her babysitter falling asleep on her, and Jersey got her to go to sleep before.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, she actually went to bed on time. Yeah, fantastic babysitter. Yeah, really good guy.
SPEAKER_07Also intergalactic good guy, but also a really good babysitter. Still takes photography dumber.
SPEAKER_04And on top of that, he only charges $15.
SPEAKER_07Well, that's what $5 an hour. Oh my god, five dollars an hour.
SPEAKER_02I texted uh actually Darius was and I was like, this dude's charging five dollars an hour. I mean fifteen bucks for three. I'm like, what is this? Is that how it was back in the day? I would never have been a babysitter back in the day.
SPEAKER_071979.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, 15 bucks.
SPEAKER_02Well, I guess 15 bucks. Bread was like 15 cents, right? You probably fill your whole tank for 15 bucks every day.
SPEAKER_04You bet you didn't. You could take the whole family out to dinner at the Outback.
SPEAKER_06Freaking Biden outback.
unknownOh, no, no, no. Cut that out, cut that out.
SPEAKER_03No, that's funny. No, you gotta keep that in because that's totally not what you're like. So that's funny. That's funny, that's funny. Freaking Biden.
SPEAKER_06So I feel like I was in the middle of most enjoyable shit. You did, you said Shelley Winters.
SPEAKER_07I also said uh Barbara because I feel like there was something more with Barbara. It wasn't just the fact that like she birthed Katie. I feel like she was a descendant of Zateen, and she knew it, but she was trying to combat it, and I just I saw a little bit of that in her, and I was like, oh, she knows that this is because of her, and she's like that's the reason she didn't want to have the second take kid. She knew something was very, very wrong. So I enjoyed that part of her, and then just overall, I thought everyone, the whole cast was awesome, down to Katie, the new the obviously the the newest one on the team on the movie, and uh I'm gonna be a little bit more than she held her own up against a bunch of crates.
SPEAKER_02So that's sure you don't want sprite?
SPEAKER_07That was my enjoyable characters.
SPEAKER_04Um, because I just took a little bit more than what I should have. We're debating on whether we should get sprite or not.
SPEAKER_07No, I'm good. I I drank that straight, I'm fine. Cool. I don't know why I'm talking like because I'm obviously gonna add it out with this.
SPEAKER_04No, you're not. You're gonna keep some of this stuff. Alright, so we got fine, we got uh favorite, favorite characters. Good thing we have like characters most several times.
SPEAKER_07We just did most enjoyable characters.
SPEAKER_02Now we're doing least favorite characters.
SPEAKER_04Now we're on annoying least favorite characters. Okay, I'll start off because Derek's I don't know what's going on. Something's going on over there. Anyways, so my annoying characters were Barbara Collins.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so I'm just gonna piggyback because that's my two. That's mine too. Yeah, that's my least favorite character. Derek's favorite is our least favorite character.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, see, I didn't like her.
SPEAKER_07I just thought my heart, Emma Balls.
SPEAKER_04I thought again you have balls too. So I I didn't I didn't like her acting. I thought it was over the top.
SPEAKER_06Should bet.
SPEAKER_04It was over the top. And then uh Raymond Armstein. I know we I know we liked him. Raymond was Lance Hendrickson.
SPEAKER_02Lance see, I I didn't like him. I liked him. I liked him.
SPEAKER_04I thought his acting was a little was a little a little on the uh lower quality as well.
SPEAKER_07Now can I jump in real quick?
SPEAKER_04Go ahead and that's it. I don't really have too much to say about it.
SPEAKER_02Jared thoughts a jump on Matt and Rail.
SPEAKER_07I jumped all over Shelly last week. Matt, you're time for the jumping.
SPEAKER_04Bring it, don't sing it, beach.
SPEAKER_07But here's the thing. Like, so I thought I thought that him and uh what was it? Uh Dr. Walker. The two guys so Dr. Walker. The dad the dad of?
SPEAKER_04Are you talking about the dad of the doctor?
SPEAKER_07Dr. Walker was like the guy who was running. Okay. So I between those two, I thought they gave like most of their intense scenes, they didn't blink. And they're very like psychotic, like they're they delivered like psychotic like facial expressions, like their eyes didn't blink, they're very steadfast with their craziness. So I thought that was very good. Yeah. You did not.
SPEAKER_02I just is that your other favorite is the doctor?
SPEAKER_07No, no, no.
SPEAKER_02Why are we talking about this?
SPEAKER_04Because he's just comparing them both.
SPEAKER_07He's saying that he's saying that Lance Henry's doing I'm I'm just combating Matt because he said it was bad. And I'm saying there was no one who was bad. There was no one who was bad.
SPEAKER_02I'm so confused.
SPEAKER_07Matt Hello. Hello. Hello.
SPEAKER_04Anyways, so yeah, so that was it. I don't really have too much else.
SPEAKER_07It was just mine was So Raymond, you did not like Raymond.
SPEAKER_04I didn't care for because I just thought I thought him and him and Barbara's acting were a little over the top. Barbara's was obvious. To me, Barbara's was like way over the top. His was like a little over the top. I did like now you guys were calling the the Galactic Warrior. What Jersey's.
SPEAKER_00Oh, sorry.
SPEAKER_02Me and Derek really liked Jesus.
SPEAKER_07Missed it.
SPEAKER_04Not sexy Jesus.
SPEAKER_07I was going to share a photo of Sexy Jesus this week, so we should see him. We were calling him by his name, which was Jersey. Okay, Jersey. Jersey.
SPEAKER_04Alright, so Jersey, I thought, I thought he I thought he was.
SPEAKER_02How did someone become is that's a Polish Galactic Warrior?
SPEAKER_04Hey man.
SPEAKER_02Sorry, Matt. Sorry.
SPEAKER_04So I think are we derailing or am I just I don't know. Alright, so those are my annoying characters. Who's who's next?
SPEAKER_02That's the point is to derail. Yes. I'm next. Most annoying. Yeah, I've been on the book.
SPEAKER_04Derek Waninski is the most annoying right now.
SPEAKER_02Here's the thing if you're gonna name your character Barbara, which is an iconic horror movie character name. You better be fucking good. Right. She wasn't. No. Don't you jump on me, Derek? You've jumped on enough people tonight. Shut your whore mouth.
SPEAKER_07I'm not gonna yum your yuck.
SPEAKER_04What? You just said that backwards.
SPEAKER_07No, I said it backwards because it is backwards. I'm not gonna- I'm not gonna yuck her yum. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04You did say it's a good one.
SPEAKER_02I also hated the fucking hawk.
SPEAKER_04Oh, the hawk? You're gonna go okay. Yeah, that's an act, that's a character, right?
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna make the hawk a character.
SPEAKER_04The hawk was annoying.
SPEAKER_02He was like, the whole time.
SPEAKER_04Well, that was my that was earlier when I was saying it was just like that was just annoying. It wasn't scary, it was just annoying. He did kill he did. He did kill him.
SPEAKER_07He caused him to drive off the road.
SPEAKER_04That's another that's another wrapped up in a conversation. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07But did you see the fire? So they they know how to work the way.
SPEAKER_04Did you see the fire ring around the around the car?
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Oh 79.
SPEAKER_04Here's the other thing too. I want to point out. I want to point this out too. Did you see the baseball players charging him? I was like, are they gonna beat the shit out of him?
SPEAKER_06It looked like they want to fucking beat him up.
SPEAKER_04The guy was running with the bat like I was like, they're gonna they're gonna they're gonna fuck. Fight him. That's what I thought. I'm like worried. I'm like, are they gonna go beat the shit out of the car for ruining the fence?
SPEAKER_02Are they gonna beat the shit out of the guy or the bird? I hope it was the bird. If you have birds, I don't like birds. If you have birds and like birds, I'm so sorry.
SPEAKER_04I don't care for birds. Put a bird on it. Put a bird on it.
SPEAKER_02Alright, Derek, your cons. Your least favorite. My least favorite. Your least favorite actor or person.
SPEAKER_07Least favorite characters. So, like I said a little bit ago, like I I enjoyed everyone. The only thing that annoyed me was straight to Shelley's point, were the fucking bird noises. I couldn't stand them. Like I I got that they were part of the story, so I appreciated it. But I couldn't stand the fucking sound bites that they had for the fucking birds. It was driving me crazy. Yeah, it's too much. And that was the only thing.
SPEAKER_04It was it was completely too much. It was ridiculous.
SPEAKER_02The hawk, unfortunately, doesn't have an INDB, so I can't call it the hawk.
SPEAKER_07I feel like it was in Beastmaster.
SPEAKER_04I think the one in Beastmaster might have been a little bit bigger.
SPEAKER_06He wasn't screeching so much.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Beastmaster. Alright. Is that in our is that on our Frankenstein bag?
SPEAKER_05That's our feast and feelings.
SPEAKER_02No, it's not. It's not Beastmaster is not on our back, guys. It is. We that's not a scary.
SPEAKER_07Well, it should be.
SPEAKER_04It's scary.
SPEAKER_02Anyway.
SPEAKER_07We still have favorite kills.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_02Oh, sorry.
SPEAKER_07Shelly's jumping the gun. Shelly's okay. Shelly. Favorite kills.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Um, yes, I had one. Um, it wasn't really kill. Oh, that okay, so let's be fair. There was a couple kills in this movie, but none were like my favorite, like the guy being exploded in the car.
SPEAKER_07Well, Detective Durham.
SPEAKER_02If you want to call it a scary thing, this movie wasn't super scary because it's more sci-fi. I really like the scene where the gun goes off because Katie throws the gun.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, shoots Bob. Her birthday scene.
SPEAKER_02And so what happens to Bob or some backstory, because I don't want to take up too much time because we're talking about fucking time.
SPEAKER_04That's okay. We're good. We're 48 minutes into it.
SPEAKER_0249. Okay. Anyways, let's keep going. So then Katie's aunt, I guess, buys her a bird that talks, and somehow a gun gets switched into the present. So Katie opens the present, has a gun, runs in and goes, Mom, Mom, look! Throws the gun, shoots, it's really badly cut, shoots the mom in the back. The mom turns slowly, looks at Katie, and Katie goes, sorry. And the mom goes down and then she becomes paralyzed, and it's this whole like, um, what's that cart uh not cartoon, the TV show where they rebuild, they're like, we rebuild him and he'll be the $5,000 man or $5 million man. Bionic Man. Bionic Man, bum, bum, bum, boom. Yeah. It's like a whole sequence.
SPEAKER_06These guys are making the noise.
SPEAKER_02Like the bionic man. They're like, she'll never walk again, but we can't make her live. So that's my favorite.
SPEAKER_04Crime's still never been solved, by the way. They still never solved the crime of the gun.
SPEAKER_02The detective died, and then nobody else cared that the mom got it.
SPEAKER_04Right. Yeah, who cares? No.
SPEAKER_07Favorite kill scare. No, I'm giving it to Matt.
SPEAKER_04Alright. Again, with with the limited limited amount of scare scenes in here, I have to go with the dumb car scene. Because that's the only that's the only scare scene in it. Other than maybe towards the end we can talk about that scene, but that to me was just like bizarre. Just kind of what I'm whatever.
SPEAKER_02It's not like our last episode where the last scene was one of the best, like it was, it was built up.
SPEAKER_04You knew what's gonna happen. But the car scene to me was just kind of like, all right, I guess this is the scare scene. You know, you wait for it after two fucking hours of a movie, you're like, where the hell's the scare scene? I guess this is it. There we go. We get a fucking car rolling through the rolling into a baseball gate when and lit on fire five feet away from it. Pew pew little fire flames, anyways. So that's it. Derek, what do you got?
SPEAKER_07So um to Matt's, you know, talking about the birds. Uh, I did enjoy the scene where who is it, uh, Detective Jack Durham? Durham. He uh he got attacked by the d the bird in the car. There was some I gore again. Right, much uh throw back to Lucio with the Igor. I do appreciate that.
SPEAKER_04What's up with his fucking brakes?
SPEAKER_07What do you mean?
SPEAKER_04Like he couldn't stop the car. Like you just plowing through fucking everything.
SPEAKER_07Have you ever been attacked by a bird in a car? You can't hit his brakes.
SPEAKER_02Didn't you see the scene where the hop cut his brakes before he cared?
SPEAKER_03I missed that scene. I did miss that scene. He climbed underneath the car and cut the brakes. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06He got his little wings together with some scissors. You know what?
SPEAKER_04In my notes, it said that in my notes, it said that was edited out.
SPEAKER_07You got a cover all suit because he's a fucking mechanic all of a sudden.
SPEAKER_04You got fucking wire cutters. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It happened. I don't I don't know why you didn't see that scene.
SPEAKER_04It was a great scene. I saw it. Oh, you know what? I fell asleep. That's what it was.
SPEAKER_07I I did enjoy that scene. I thought that was a cool uh kill scene. But um also it it's kind of I'm gonna leave it to the final line, but um the there's a scene at the end where someone should have got the tap decapitated, but it didn't happen for some reason. Right, it would have it would have been like awesome, and it would have like she didn't anyways, we'll get into it.
SPEAKER_02Alright, so that's our feasting fiends.
SPEAKER_07That is our feasting fiends. We finally made it through.
SPEAKER_03We got a little more to go. We got a little more to go. Alright, so next is Final God.
SPEAKER_07So in this, we just reveal the shocking ending, which I'm gonna do, and then we rate it one to five stabs. One stab, atrocious, no redeeming value, waste of time. Two stabs, bad, forgettable, poorly done, three stabs, mixed feelings, mediocre. Okay. Four stabs, good, interesting, enjoyable, five stabs, masterpiece, excellent, perfect. So it's a new segment.
SPEAKER_02It is a new oh my gosh, by the way, it's a new segment. It is um, but if you don't want to hear about the ending, if you are interested in watching the visitor, please fast forward us right now. Right now, right then in this moment.
SPEAKER_07Right now, actually cling clean and I don't spill it on my table.
SPEAKER_04That's a spice of meat tomorrow.
SPEAKER_02You have two more of those to do? Damn.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we do. Oh, that's good shit.
SPEAKER_07The Zatine cult has concluded that Raymond cannot carry out their bidding of getting Barbara pregnant.
SPEAKER_04I'm just gonna take a nap while you read this.
SPEAKER_01Wake me up when it's my turn.
SPEAKER_05Well, this is a Jack Daniels.
SPEAKER_07Stop talking. Sorry. Alright, silence. Yeah, was this Dean Cult has concluded that Raymond cannot carry their bidding of getting Barbara pregnant and decide to take matters into their own hands with Dr. Walker leading the charge. They kidnap her in their mobile rape mobile. Yes, and inseminate her while she's knocked up. Upon arriving home, Barbara is paid a visit by Jersey, and he informs her that she was taken by violence and that she is now pregnant with a child conceived out of hate for this fucking world. Distraught, she goes to pay a visit to her ex-husband, Dr. Sam Collins, where she begs him to help her abort the child. Sam eventually agrees and reluctantly grants her wish. When she returns home, she is attacked for her actions by Raymond and Katie who attempt to execute her by tying a wire around her neck and lowering down the wheelchair lift on the stairs, which should have been my favorite fucking kill.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_07But they didn't make it happen. I was very excited that someone was getting decapitated and it didn't happen. Right. Anyways, Jersey intervenes before they are successful and summons an army of birds that dogpile on Katie and stab Raymond in the neck, which was one of my favorite kills. That fake bird was ridiculous.
SPEAKER_02That fake bird that was like Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah, it drew a sword out of its beak. Yeah. You know how birds do? Yeah, you know.
SPEAKER_02I didn't think it was his beak. I thought it was holding a little knife.
SPEAKER_03It was a beak out of his beak.
SPEAKER_02I thought it was a little knife, but it was a barbell.
SPEAKER_04Just on a side note, Raymond didn't put up a fight. He just kind of stood there.
SPEAKER_07He presented it. He was like, presented. There. Anyways. So, cut to Dr. Walker's house where he is murdered and his face is mangled by birds. And his accomplice are also dead in the boardroom. Those dirty Zateen fucking cultists. Oh man, oh man. So, triumphantly, Jersey returns to the sexy intergalactic Jesus and his bald-headed pupils and informs them that Katie is now cleansed of her evil while she hugs and smiles with her new bald haircut. Alright, so who goes, Derek, you do it. What am I doing?
SPEAKER_04Stabby stabs bro. Stabby staborooskies.
SPEAKER_07Uh I think we're all in the same place. Is everybody louder is it just me? No, my senses are opening up. I can hear in my toes, right?
SPEAKER_02I can hear color right now.
SPEAKER_04I can smell colors.
SPEAKER_07The first time I watched this film, I thought it was hot garbage. Uh the second time, I've I appreciated it much more. Enjoyed the story. I just would have liked that. I I understand it was like a science fiction horror. I think it was too much science fiction and not horror. So I gave it a three. Uh mixed feelings, mediocre. Okay. It was it was it was great, but I was just wanting more horror.
SPEAKER_04So what so what is your stabs? What did you say it was three stabs? Okay, three stabs. Dude, look, we haven't had a couple fucking shots here. All right.
SPEAKER_02I also gave it a three.
SPEAKER_04Jump on my nuts, bro.
SPEAKER_02Shelly, Shelly, take it away.
SPEAKER_04Three? Okay.
SPEAKER_02I I actually I didn't think this is the worst thing we've watched. No, it hasn't, it has so and I liked all the reasons it was wrong. So and there was a sexy G though. So Nico, Nico.
SPEAKER_07Nico, I wish I could remember his last name, but yes, he was sexy.
SPEAKER_02Super sexy Jesus.
SPEAKER_07Shelly, you and I are on the same page. Sexy Jesus.
SPEAKER_04That's you.
SPEAKER_01I'm ready to see.
SPEAKER_04So it's it's it's funny because so I wrote down on my notes, I have my first watch. It was a one because I had to get I had to give it something. I was just saying the second watch, I did watch this movie well intermittently watched this movie because I fell asleep a lot. Just the the scenes were just so fucking long. So it's tough. So after watching it two more times, I gave it a two, but I'm gonna stick, I'm gonna stick with my OG and I'm gonna go with a one. I'm sticking with the one. I love it.
SPEAKER_07I'm sticking with the one. I can't wait to get it. And the reason why fucking deathmatch.
SPEAKER_04And the reason why is again, I say it was too fucking long. The movie was too long. I get it. I wish I wish that Katie had more scenes of her doing bad shit. Like when she was at, you know.
SPEAKER_02In the ice skating.
SPEAKER_04Well, the ice skating, you know, maybe she'd like fucking slash a kid's like ankle or something. Yeah, the ice skating, you know, intentionally. Or like when she's when she What are you talking about?
SPEAKER_07She killed, she fucking made it turn your mom into a paraplegic.
SPEAKER_06That's pretty fucking bad.
SPEAKER_04Okay. That was but it's a hor it's it's supposed to be horror science fiction.
SPEAKER_06Yes.
SPEAKER_04Nobody died. There was no there was like a little gun blast on her back. Yeah. I'm looking for fucking gore. I know. I want gore.
SPEAKER_02People did die. Lance Hanglison. Detective, whatever his name is.
SPEAKER_04That scene too. Okay. People can I can I can I finish. I just wish that there were more scenes with Katie doing some bad shit. When she was at the school, I wish that maybe there was a scene where she's, you know, engaged with her fellow classmates, you know, they're over at the like the paper cutting machine, and she, you know, gets a kid to intentionally cut his fingers off or something like that. And for the love, I literally wrote, I literally wrote, for the love of God, Barbara in the wheelchair was freaking ridiculous. It was just way too fucking long. If I was, if I was uh, if I was Jane, I would have went down there and pushed her out of her fucking wheelchair and said, Cut the shit. What are you doing?
SPEAKER_02So yeah, I understood.
SPEAKER_04So that's it. All right, uh, Shelly, you you?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it was a three-two.
SPEAKER_04Nice.
SPEAKER_02I thought I mean, like I said, it's not one of the worst things we've watched. So that's where we are. What is that?
SPEAKER_04He was trying to high-five you didn't.
SPEAKER_02We're all so we already high-fived over it. We high-fived once.
SPEAKER_04So we uh We're moving on to Voices from Beyond.
SPEAKER_07Alright, so um, we I'm I'm gonna tell you guys what we're doing segment, and then we're gonna take a shot. No, we're having taken enough. Stop talking over it.
SPEAKER_05You can't even talk. You can't talk right now.
SPEAKER_07So Shelly is gonna go through her social media platforms, and then uh, you know, she's just gonna speak about some listeners' posts.
SPEAKER_04All right. I love this. This is my favorite part, by the way. Like here, what I'm saying. This is my favorite fucking part. I love this.
SPEAKER_07We love that you guys take this journey with us and that you share your thoughts. You know, no matter if you get to cry, I can make myself cry right now. No matter if you give one sentence or if you go into five different paragraphs, we don't give a shit. Like, just let us share it. Yeah, just let us know what you think and you know, just be a part of what we're doing here. Because absolutely, you know, we want you to be a part.
SPEAKER_02We love you.
SPEAKER_07We do love you.
SPEAKER_02You can find us on the socials, Facebook little bracket of horrors, Instagram, little bracket of horrors. Um, that's where we are. Please give us a like and a follow. Um, so we got our voices from beyond. Go ahead, Matt. Or Derek.
SPEAKER_07Oh, good. Do we do we want to do the shop beforehand or after?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah. It's a new segment.
SPEAKER_02I got you.
SPEAKER_04Here we go. No. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02What are you talking about? How much I'm not pouring out.
SPEAKER_04You're the worst bartender ever.
SPEAKER_02Shut up. All right.
SPEAKER_07No, you're you're a nice lady.
SPEAKER_02I'm trying to moderate because this is off the rails.
SPEAKER_03Um, I mean You're a nice lady.
SPEAKER_02Nice lady. You're a nice big bird. I'm a pretty bird.
SPEAKER_03Pretty bird.
SPEAKER_02Alright, so voices from beyond, we got Sandy F this time. Sandy. Sandy F. This is her first time from Sandy F. Woo, Sandy. Thanks for joining us. She thought this movie was a cross between The Exorcist, The Bad Seed, and she said, look it up.
SPEAKER_07Oh, okay. I'm gonna look it up.
SPEAKER_02Lose Encounters. She said it was all over the place. She really liked John Houston and Shelly Winters in the movie.
SPEAKER_07Shelly Winters was phenomenal. Yeah, she was really loved her.
SPEAKER_04Who is John Houston? I'm coming up for the chairs. Jersey. Oh, Jersey was there. Jersey Intergalactic. Yep, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Who still takes public transportation?
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, but Lance Hemerson and Glenn Ford were lacking. She'd rank the movie a two.
SPEAKER_07Alright. We'll take it.
SPEAKER_02Sorry, my vision's a little buried. Um Lisa C said. Lisa back again. Lisa C's been there since the beginning. We love her.
SPEAKER_07We love you. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_02Uh she ranks this two stabs. She gave it two stabby stabs. Two stabs a stab. Thank you. She tried, but she hates sci-fi.
SPEAKER_07I get it, Lisa. I understand. That's what that's that's what my beef was. There wasn't enough horror. But go ahead. Sorry. Thank you.
SPEAKER_04That was a reprimanding look right there.
SPEAKER_02Sherry F said. Thanks, Sherry F. Love Sherry. Sherry! So I see what they were trying to do, but I it fell a little flat. There were so many better horror sci-fi movies that came out the same year. The actress who played the little girl had an amazing creep factor, though. So that's it. That's what we got this week.
SPEAKER_06Nice. Thanks.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we really appreciate when you guys just fucking spit on me.
SPEAKER_05Derek just spit on me. Fucking dirtbag. It shot across the room.
SPEAKER_02We really appreciate it. Oh man. We really appreciate you guys.
SPEAKER_04Oh, can I tell you a fun fact?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. We got one more to do.
SPEAKER_07Sorry.
SPEAKER_02We really appreciate you guys joining us.
SPEAKER_04Yes, thank you. We love I love the feedback. That's my again, that's my favorite part. Before we go into Wheel of Death, Matt wants to I always like to look for the goofs and everything, and I'll send you guys the uh pictures and stuff too. I don't know what you just fucking handed me.
SPEAKER_05Fucking newsroom for him from the latest and breaking news.
SPEAKER_07Breaking news.
SPEAKER_04Breaking news. Derek's an asshole.
SPEAKER_07Oh shit. All right.
SPEAKER_04So are you gonna steal something on me to see?
SPEAKER_02I found some shit. So here we go. Wait! Matt was just about to say something. Let him say it.
SPEAKER_07Go in. Matthew, go.
SPEAKER_04So so the scene where Barbara is being dragged across the room by Katie. Oh, where she dragged her up the stairs. So if you look closely, and I did, I was able to snag the picture.
SPEAKER_02That's a stunt double. Right, sure. I did get that.
SPEAKER_04I did get that. Like I felt that was a stunt double. But like the the ice skating scene, how much of that? Was that a stunt double too? I mean. But she was she was moving though. She was doing good.
SPEAKER_02It was they didn't show her feet though.
SPEAKER_04But they showed her moving. She was on the show. No, she was on the ice moving.
SPEAKER_02I wish you guys could see Matt right now. But it's no arms.
SPEAKER_07It's so funny. To Matt's point, I did write in my notes my my second watch. I was like, Katie's a dynamite ice skater.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, she's got multiple, multiple fucking talents.
SPEAKER_02No, so we shouldn't see if she ever became a professional ice skater. I know.
SPEAKER_04So that scene where she's dragging Barbara, if you look, and I'll and I'll bring it up real quick. If you look at the uh picture, there's a skateboard. She's lying on a skateboard.
SPEAKER_02Wait, which is when Barbara's on the skateboard and Katie's dragging her at the very end. She's dragging her. She's on the skateboard.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I'll I'll bring up the picture for you real quick here. Interesting. Yeah, she's dragging her up the stairs. But um here, Derek, if you look, I don't know, let me see if I can turn it aside. There we go. That's better. If you look there, what do you see underneath her?
SPEAKER_07I see I see some independent trucks and fucking industrial whatever wheels.
SPEAKER_04So you see the little skateboard underneath her? Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_07It's a dolly. It's a dolly. No, that's a that's a six Santa Cruz fucking skateboard.
SPEAKER_04So, anyways, yeah. So that was just a little fun thing.
SPEAKER_07I looked at a bird.
SPEAKER_04Alright, Derek, what do you got?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, a fun fact before we move on to the wheel.
SPEAKER_07I do. Um, so according to Lance Hendrickson, uh the crass the the cast agreed to do the movie to get a free chip to Italy.
SPEAKER_04Are you serious?
SPEAKER_02This was an Italian movie.
SPEAKER_07Yes, so uh oh my gosh, help me with that.
SPEAKER_02Well, you don't know the direction.
SPEAKER_07So in in the uh in the uh credits, it's Michael Parad Paradise, which sounds like a porno director, but it's it's Giulio Paradise, okay, which is the actual guy's name. But um, yeah, according to Lance, uh, they they all did it to get a free trip to Italy.
SPEAKER_04Cool story, bro. And these are like so thankful that I brought that. But but it's kind of interesting because Shelly Winters couldn't afford a trip to Italy and uh your Hendrix.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, exactly. Anyways, can we move on to the wheel? We've been recording forever.
SPEAKER_07Yes, we've been, yeah. So forever. We gotta replace the movie. Alright. First and foremost, yes, we must replace Wheel of Can we do this first?
SPEAKER_02Can we be done with this? Let's let's before shot.
SPEAKER_07Let's do our Forsaken shot for these are full-size shots, guys. Totally. They're like I don't know about that.
SPEAKER_03Over the lips, through the gum, look out, tummy, here I come.
SPEAKER_07Oh god. I grass tomorrow.
SPEAKER_04You're gonna smoke grass tomorrow?
SPEAKER_07Mow the grass.
SPEAKER_04I heard smoke. Alright, and weed eat it.
SPEAKER_02I got a new movie.
SPEAKER_07Ooh.
SPEAKER_04Oh, wait, wait, wait. Okay.
SPEAKER_07So we are replacing the visitor 1979 on the wheel with this is a good one to go on the wheel.
SPEAKER_02Wolf cop. Wolf cop!
SPEAKER_04Oh my gosh, that sounds that sounds pretty pretty B campy sort of shit.
SPEAKER_02It is uh superhero comedy horror.
SPEAKER_04Oh, perfect. I'm down.
SPEAKER_02Alright, so we'll add cop one word.
SPEAKER_04So what we have on the wheel right now is Fantasm Fiantiasm.
SPEAKER_02Fiantiasm. Fiantiasm. I love Fiantyasm.
SPEAKER_04We have Fiantiasm.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_04Y'all.
SPEAKER_02Don't you know?
SPEAKER_04Don't you know? So we have the Inn Keepers, Itchy the Killer, High Tension, Demented, Friday the 13th, Mother, The Mummy, not the Brendan Fraser version.
SPEAKER_07The original. Despite everyone's request for it to be Brandon Fraser. But go ahead.
SPEAKER_04Ginger Snap and the newly added Wolf Cop.
SPEAKER_07So just a just a little bit on Wolf Cop.
SPEAKER_02Why are we talking about Wolf Cop and Midname Bobby Picked?
SPEAKER_07Because it is a superhero comedy. It's a Canadian film about a cop that turns into a fucking werewolf.
SPEAKER_02Alright, so we're gonna we're gonna pick the next movie, and this movie will be discussed on our next episode, which comes out March 16th. Awesome. So this movie will be uh discussed in full on March 16th.
SPEAKER_07Fantastic. Alright, we ready to spin it? Wheel of Dead. Wheel of Death. Wheel of Death. Wheel of Death. Wheel of Death. Is that the beginning of it?
SPEAKER_04No. No, no, no. I'll keep the movie that we have.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, no, this is it. No, that's it. So you could hear it.
SPEAKER_04No, it's good, it's fine. Okay.
SPEAKER_07So what do we have?
SPEAKER_04We have the innkeepers.
SPEAKER_07The innkeepers.
SPEAKER_02Alright, where can we find the innkeepers?
SPEAKER_07I'm a little bit. Hold on, I got it too. The innkeepers, uh, supernatural horror. Uh two employees of a hotel investigate the workplace where they find ghosts. Oh, it's a TI West. It is a TI West film. That's very good. Let's see where.
SPEAKER_04So people tie West, you say.
SPEAKER_07TIE West. We're gonna get a lot of jump scare stuff in this film. So you guys can watch it on Tubi. It looks like Tubi. Tubi and and Peacock is what I have in my notes. Let me know if you guys can see it.
SPEAKER_02And you can probably and and just remember, and we don't expect you guys to um pay for these. But if you want to pay and rent it, you can rent it on Amazon Prime or Apple TV. But it is free on Tubi. You just have to watch some commercials. So please watch it on Tubi with us. It's free, guys.
SPEAKER_07It's free, guys. Come on. Don't be a bunch of jerks. It's free.
SPEAKER_02It's free.
SPEAKER_07So obviously, just like Shelly said, the next episode drops March 16th, 2022.
SPEAKER_02Did you not think that that would be the year? Like you had to throw the year on the show.
SPEAKER_07I needed to make sure they didn't wait till 2023.
SPEAKER_04I think we need to do one more shot before we end this.
SPEAKER_02Nope, I'm done. I'm done.
SPEAKER_07Derek, you're- I just drank whatever was in my cup. I'm tapped.
SPEAKER_04I'll do one more. Somebody's gotta do it with me, though. Alright, so I'll just be alone around. I don't care. It's so good.
SPEAKER_01Oh my hands.
SPEAKER_04We're already at an hour and 11 minutes. I don't give a fuck. I don't give a fuck.
SPEAKER_06I gotta pee.
SPEAKER_07I gotta mow the grass too, bruh. Here, you're gonna do it. Shelly, are you also mowing your grass?
