Welcome to Little Bracket of Horrors. The pod that puts the fight in fright!
In this episode we unravel the mysterious death of the Stevenson family and ask the age old question. Where's Stephanie? Luckily, we got just the man for the job. Enter Ellison Oswalt, who is a borderline washed up true crime novelist who is willing to sacrifice anything to solve the twisted murders and get his name back in the bright lights.
So join the LBOH crew as we subject ourselves to 5 of the worst home videos you would ever hope to stumble upon. None of which shows a Dad getting hit in the nards with a whiffle ball bat. We felt cheated.
Oh, hey, what are you guys doing here? Is that how you're gonna do it now? Oh, hey. Just hanging out. What are you doing at my house? Oh. So what's up, guys? How are you doing?
SPEAKER_00I'm Derek. I'm Shelly.
SPEAKER_02And I'm Matt. And we are Little Bracket of Whores. Thanks for tuning in. Let's just get into it. You guys want to watch anything scary or anything scary happen?
SPEAKER_00Well, do tell.
SPEAKER_02Uh-oh.
SPEAKER_00I got to go to Salem, Massachusetts. Boom.
SPEAKER_02That is amazing.
SPEAKER_00It's the home of the witch trials. Nice. Very cool. Explored lots of like witch oddity shops and uh went to the Salem Witch Museum and learned all about the uh hangings and trials that happened up there. And it's a vibe. It's a really cool area. It's a vibe.
SPEAKER_02It's got history.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah. That's awesome.
SPEAKER_02A little bit. That is uh on the bucket list to hit up is Salem for sure.
SPEAKER_00Definitely we did one day. Uh I think like two or three solid days would be enough. Yeah. I think I would have done like a movie tour. On top of just like exploring the area.
SPEAKER_02See like the hocus pocus area and stuff. That'd be fun.
SPEAKER_00They make it really easy. They have a heritage trail and it's all marked on the ground, and it just walks you by a bunch of sites and stores, and it's really easy to figure it out. We took about a 40-minute ferry from Boston. Nice. Which was fairly inexpensive too.
SPEAKER_03So what about you? You got anything, Matt? No, I went to a football game.
SPEAKER_02You went to a football game?
SPEAKER_03A high school football game. That was kind of scary.
SPEAKER_02Um, teenagers can be scary.
SPEAKER_03I think I was almost witness to a potential fight.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, isn't that every high school football game?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, pretty much. Yeah. The kid was uh saying something to another kid in a in a different area, and he's like, Yeah, I'll see you after this. I'll see you. Okay. Like, I'm gonna beat the shit out of him. Yeah, meet him under the bleachers. Yeah, so nothing really. Nothing. So to answer your question, no.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I uh nothing too much for me either. I I started watching Sinister 2 because I've never watched it, and I was I I I didn't want to see where it continued on to, but I had to bail after an hour. Not good? Yeah, it was alright, but it there was too much uh Mr. Boogie. I liked how he was more he uh he was he was more subtleness in the background and pop when he popped up, it was more you know, it it hit much harder, but he was just he was in a little too much. A little too much. But I I will finish it, but uh yeah, cool. And no rush, no rush to say. Yeah, absolutely. It came out in 2015.
SPEAKER_00So I also got to watch Beetlejuice, the musical on Broadway. Yes. So if anyone is ever up in New York, 100% recommend the Beetlejuice show. That's awesome. A little scary. Saul Kirch Child 2, which was scary. There was like Dementors in it and everything. Magic. It was both really solid shows. So perfectly.
SPEAKER_03Very cool. Where did you see it at again?
SPEAKER_00On Broadway, New York City.
SPEAKER_03Spooky musicals. Look at you. That sounds fun.
SPEAKER_00That sounds like we're back now. We are recording a pod.
SPEAKER_03Yes, we are. We're podding so hard. We're podding it, we're podding the hardest right now.
SPEAKER_02All right, guys, let's get into it. Our first segment is Dig Up Up the Bones. And this match just introduces a movie, gives us some info. So, Matt, take it away.
SPEAKER_03All right, so this is Sinister. It's a 2012 horror thriller movie. The uh runtime's about an hour and 50 minutes. Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 63%. It was initially released on October 12th, 2012. The director was Scott Derrickson. It's starring Ethan Hawk playing Ellison. Is that was that his name? Ellison. Yeah, Ellison Ellison Oswald. Uh Juliet Rylance is Tracy, she was the mom. James uh Ranson was the deputy so-so, and Fred Thomas played the sheriff. Yeah, yeah. I love that it was deputy. Yeah, Deputy So-so. He didn't, he it was just deputy, but it, you know, yeah, so so no name, but so-and-so.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's literally credited as deputy so and so. And if you look at Sinister 2, the cast, the first face is James Ransone, and it says Deputy So-and-so. Was he in the second one? Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Was he still Deputy So-So?
SPEAKER_00That's what he went by. But he was ex-deputy so-and-so. Ex-deputy so it was funny.
SPEAKER_03Okay, yeah. So obviously, there is a sequel. We talked about Sinisters 2. Uh, the music was done by Christopher Young. Uh we've got uh the production company was a Lions film, automatic, Bloom House Productions, I Am Global, and it was produced by Josh Bloom, Brian Kavanaugh Jones, distributed by Summit Entertainment, Monument Pictures, and Lionsgate Film. The box office gross was 87.7 million, and their gross, their bud their cost rather, and their budget was three million. Onto the movie. Onto the movie. Onto the movie. So it's about a washed up true crime writer named Elson. He moves his family into a house where a murder has taken place outside, and for inspiration, he moved into this house. Did not tell his family about sneaky.
SPEAKER_02Sneaky, sneaky.
SPEAKER_03The wife even asked him, you know, is this like, you know, the last book he wrote was this gem he got on to tours and everything. Yeah, Kentucky Blood. Right, Kentucky Blood. Yeah. So his wife asked him, Are we are we down the street from the house? And he's like, uh Yeah. So so he finds a box of Super 8 movies placed in the attic that reveals a family of four where three of the family members were murdered and a daughter, Stephanie, has been missing. He then watches the other movies containing graphic murders of family members with one of the kids missing. Through his research, he discovers something more sinister going on.
SPEAKER_02Ooh, I like how you put sinister in that.
SPEAKER_03Is his next swan song worth it? Did I cut you off with the sinister thing?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you didn't. Your your uh slam dunk was the swan song live? I should have left it at that. The swan song, I should have just shut up, right? So that's so that's it. Um, that was that was brief enough. I liked it. So but how did how did you guys feel when we landed on Sinister? Did you feel any type of way?
SPEAKER_00I'd seen it before, so it's a good movie, so I I was okay watching it.
SPEAKER_02I was uh I was excited. I knew it was scary, probably scarier than some other films we watched. So I was I was like, all right, great. Anyone who's complained about movies not being scary enough, here's a scary movie. Yeah. So I was excited. What about did you know anything about it, Matt?
SPEAKER_03Nothing about it. Never heard of it until it was thrown on the wheel. My initial reaction was hopefully it's good. Hopefully it's good. That's fair. Hopefully it's good.
SPEAKER_00Fingers crossed. Fingers crossed. Nothing can be worse than the Demented.
SPEAKER_03The demented. My goodness gracious.
SPEAKER_00Henry.
SPEAKER_03I was gonna say something else. New York Ripper, but now it's been replaced with the Demented. The Demented, Azure, yes. The movie was horrible.
SPEAKER_02All right, guys, let's get into it. Our next segment, Feasting Fiends. And this we just discussed the overall pros and cons of the movie, favorite lines, most enjoyable and most annoying characters, and then we finish it off with our favorite kills slash scares. So, who wants to get it off? Matt, you want to take it? Yeah. Matt, give us your pros.
SPEAKER_03Alright, so my pros, I thought it was a great thriller. Jump scares were were awesome in it. I was on my toes pretty much the whole movie waiting for something to happen. And I know I've I haven't said this a lot during any of these podcasts, but the acting was actually really good. Yeah. The acting was really good from everyone, from the Ethan Hawk all the way down to the kids to the boogeyman. I mean, it was all good. Shelly, what do you got? Pros?
SPEAKER_00I really like the found footage aspect of this. I like how it's found footage without having to be a found footage film, like filmed like found footage.
SPEAKER_03It was like foyeuristic. Right.
SPEAKER_00So I love that aspect of it.
SPEAKER_03Um like the little bright light of the you know, the projector. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Which leads me into like the sound editing and score. Oh my gosh, yeah. Even just the sound of the projector and how they did it and the music they played during each kill scene. It gave you so much like oh, I loved it. And then I like the mystery aspect of the whole movie and the way the twist at the end happens to tie it all together. I won't go into it, but that really kind of punched it in for me. And it's just overall, I think, really good movie, great sound, great jump scares. Yeah, yeah. It's uh it's one of those movies that are scary to me.
SPEAKER_03I think it all came together, especially with the music and stuff, tying, you know, just tying it all into the suspense of something. I'm like, something's gonna happen. Yeah. So you're you're really on your toes.
SPEAKER_00All right, Derek.
SPEAKER_02I enjoyed, I said the range of scares were nice because you know, they were subtle to the to the you know, jump out of my skin type scares. And uh, I thought they were all superb, and there was just like a nice balance and flow between them. I kind of equate it like let me paint a picture, I guess, but uh when you guys have made mixtapes before, right? Oh yeah. So when you make a mixtape, there's like an ebb and flow to it. I'm too young to know. You never made a mixtape?
SPEAKER_03Shelly's only 22.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's right. I forgot.
SPEAKER_00You're gonna have to explain it to me.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so we would we would take cassette tapes and take songs from other places and put them on, but there was like an art to it where like things led into other things and it wasn't, you know, it just it was a nice balance. I thought this movie was like a nice mixtape of scares because there were the subtle moments where like Mr. Boogie just like looked and it yeah, you tensed up a little bit, and then obviously some of the kills you're just like jumping out of your skin. So I enjoyed the range of scares, much like Shelly said, just the the score, and especially with like the eight millimeter home videos, like some of the music in there, just like uh it was perfect.
SPEAKER_03Well, like you said, just the tracking of the of the film rolling and stuff like that. Yeah, the little sound just like everything. Just it was like it was just like a like a fine lasagna. Oh, nice. A lasagna fired perfectly.
SPEAKER_02This movie was a lasagna of sound and editing. Nice, and then like Shelly said, I just I I enjoyed the eight millimeter home movies, they're just like these little snuff film puzzle pieces to this mystery, and it was it was great. So those are my pros. So all right, let's move on to cons. Matt, con it away.
SPEAKER_03Con it away. So, what you were talking about earlier about the boogeyman on Sinister 2 being too much, I almost wish there was a little more boogeyman in this one. Um, he was there in a couple parts, but uh it's it's hard for for me, it was again this one was a hard one to find cons for because I really did enjoy this movie. Yeah, so I mean that was probably my only con, was just I wish they might have had maybe the boogeyman a little bit more.
SPEAKER_02See, for me, like when he first showed up, like in the pool and stuff, and it was just like a subtle little like terrible image, but there was something there, and just like all the grainy photos, I think that hits so much better in like building up like his image, and that's why I loved it so much, but yeah, fair enough. Shelly, how about you?
SPEAKER_00I was gonna say the same thing. Oh, I feel like I grasped at straws to find cons at this movie.
SPEAKER_02I think we all did. Yeah. But go ahead, yeah.
SPEAKER_00One though is it did really scare me. These are one of those movies where I sit in my bed and I'm like, Bagulho's in my corner of my room, and he's gonna get me and he's gonna he's gonna eat me or something. So if I had to pick a con, that's one of them. The other thing is it's really dark. I watched it not just on my phone once, but I also watched it on a regular TV, and I thought at least it would still be dark as shit. It's so dark at times where you can't really see anything. Like when he's walking down the halls and looking for something, you're kind of just hearing stuff, and maybe that was purposeful. I don't know. Where like you could just see the light of the projector flickering and like nothing else, which I get that those moments, but there was moments where I like you would have to turn off all the lights in your house just to see it. And well, it's too scary for me to do that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well, that's I was just gonna say this movie, this movie is meant to be watched in pitch dark, yeah. Because of that.
SPEAKER_00I the one time I watched it that bagul would watch it with me, and I can't.
SPEAKER_02The one time I watched it was during the day, and it was like those scenes were borderline. Like, I was like, I have no idea what's going on. Yeah, so yeah, like the darkness.
SPEAKER_00But I feel like I'm grasping at Shawls at that. Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_03Absolutely.
SPEAKER_00It's picky. I don't hate that it was dark, but that would be one of my things that I would like to see.
SPEAKER_03Again, again, we talked about it in one other movie too. A light switch. I mean He doesn't want to wake the kids. I guess they're all in a room with their door closed, but okay.
SPEAKER_00They don't know where they are, they don't know where the bathroom is. So what do it matter if you wake up?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Little uh Ashley ends up in the laundry room. Yeah, and then uh what was it, uh Trevor, the star, yeah. He he had a history of of uh sleepwalking and he peed in their uh dryer in the other house. So yeah, the kids got the the kids got problems.
SPEAKER_03That's a that's a pretty trippy way of uh sleepwalking too, climbing into a box and then coming out backwards.
SPEAKER_02There's like there's what the fuck there's a there was a supernatural force at the sure there. But yeah, that was crazy.
SPEAKER_03But they just put it on that. I mean, I don't know. I gotta put them in a mental ward. I don't know what's going on.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I've sleptwalked before night terrible. We talked about this.
SPEAKER_03Right, right.
SPEAKER_00Who knows where you'll end up, right?
SPEAKER_03But you didn't climb in a box or anything.
SPEAKER_00No, I mean I wasn't a really lumber, limber child. Yeah. I probably would have like given up or like woken up and been like given up. Given up.
SPEAKER_02So you guys thought you grasped at straws. I was digging hard to find cons for this. And take this, take my con with a grain of salt, but I had to settle on the overall sadness of the film. It makes complete sense. Like, this guy's a true crime writer, and there's going to be this strong undercurrent of sadness, but like with the way it ended, and like there was no justice, and then like it was still like sad. That yeah, but like it it should have been that way, but it was the like it bothered me personally, right? Right. Like, I don't like being sad. So that was it. I was grasping so hard. So that's all I could find at God's. Alright, guys, let's move on to favorite lines. Shelly, what do you got?
SPEAKER_00So there was a lot of good like dialogue exchanges in this movie, but I did pick one specific favorite line when they first move into the new house. Ashley starts painting on her walls in her bedroom, which I guess has always been a thing. But she does say to her dad, maybe one day I'll paint something really good, then I'll be famous like you.
SPEAKER_02Cool. Yeah, I just foreshadowing. Yes. We do love we do love the foreshadowing.
SPEAKER_00So I picked that one out. That's one of my favorite lines.
SPEAKER_03All right, Matt, what do you got? So I've got one, but I think I might want to just hold off towards the end. Oh, is it towards the end? Yeah. Oh, that's fine.
SPEAKER_02All right, so let us not forget my favorite line. All right, so my favorite line, Ellison sat down to watch a VHS copy of an interview we did for Kentucky Blood, and this was that scene, so the anchor said, So ultimately, what feels better? Seeing Justice Done or seeing your book, Kentucky Blood, number one, on the New York Best Time seller list. Ellison said, The Justice, without question. I'd rather cut my hands off than write a book for fame or money. But in that scene, you can see his face because it's obvious like where he started and where he is now, he has fallen from like his pure shifted.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Now, like it's all about he wants his name, he wants awards, he wants he wants all that. So like you could see like there was guilt in that moment. So I enjoyed that because it showed how far he had fallen from where he started. I enjoyed that. I I think it showed his range and you know gave a little bit to his character. So I like that. Good one.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, no, that was that was good.
SPEAKER_02Thanks, Matt.
SPEAKER_03I approve.
SPEAKER_02Oh, good.
SPEAKER_03Let's move on.
SPEAKER_02Let's move on to most enjoyable characters. Matt, you want to take it?
SPEAKER_03Sure. So my most enjoyable characters were Ashley. Okay, the daughter. I did like Ellison's daughter. And Ellison. Why'd you like Ellison?
SPEAKER_02Why did you like Ashley?
SPEAKER_03So I liked Ashley because I just thought she was very innocent. Just kind of uh, but she also, you know, she didn't want to be there. Yeah. You know, just like we moved around growing up and stuff, and I hated moving.
SPEAKER_02It sucked.
SPEAKER_03It did, it sucked. So I related there.
SPEAKER_02But you related to the little girl.
SPEAKER_03I rel I related to little Ashley and my artistic, you know, painting on walls. Oh, you do like to paint on walls. No. But I just thought that she was she did a good job.
SPEAKER_02Much like uh much like Art the Clown likes to paint on walls with a shit.
SPEAKER_03So there's a there's a line there. Yeah. But uh, and then Ellison too. I thought I guess I guess their acting to me, that those two, they were they're really good. Oh, so you enjoyed the acting acting aspect of it. All right. Shall I?
SPEAKER_00I also too liked Ellison as one of my favorite. Yeah. But I'm gonna give it to all the kids on this one. Not just Ashley, but from the Sun to the kids in the movies. I had to give it to all of them. They were real creepy, really good. They really gave you that factor. Yeah. They weren't cheesy doing it. It was really well done.
SPEAKER_03So yeah, I thought I thought it was interesting how the how the kids appeared and then would leave. I thought that was really cool. Yeah. I again I don't want to go too much into the end of it.
SPEAKER_00It's a quick movie. You get to the end really it feels very fast. So I feel like we're impeding closer and closer to finding out that end. All right, Derek, your favorite character.
SPEAKER_02So my favorite character was Deputy So-and-so. Oh. It was played by James uh Ranson. And then I just I thought he was the unsung hero and did all the legwork to crack the case. And you know, Ellison Ellison was the face of the operation, but the deputy was behind the scenes like piecing things together for him. Yeah. He was the one, like at the end, he gave us the hook of what you know what was triggering things. Yeah. So I enjoyed him. And then also Professor Jonas, Vincent D'Nafrio. What? Yeah. He comes in with like a part that he has like two minutes in a movie, but he I thought he was awesome because he gave us a lore for Bagul and how he operated and took control of the children and like ate their souls and all that. And I just I I enjoyed the guy that like the guys that connected the dots for us. So those are my favorite characters.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I thought I thought the deputy I I like the deputy as well, but I almost got like a creepy vibe from him.
SPEAKER_02Oh, he was a total fan. Yeah. Yeah. He was fanboying hard. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But I was like almost like he's some somehow tied to this sort of thing. Yeah. So that's what I that's what I got. I I read from him was just this somehow he's like connected to this because he was too into it. So that was that was just my thought on him. Yeah. But yeah.
SPEAKER_02Alright. You guys ready for most annoying characters? Ready for it. This is gonna be fun. Ready for it. They said ready, bruh. Ready, bruh. That's another another uh teenager thing. We're old. Alright, so most annoying characters, Shelley.
SPEAKER_00Well, I didn't like Mr. Boogie. Okay. Oh yeah. Mr. Boogie is scary.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So I did not like Yeah, he was spooky. Needs to brush his hair to do things.
SPEAKER_02He looks like he's a member of Slipknot kind of.
SPEAKER_00Plus he ruined everything. He did.
SPEAKER_03He did ruin everything with a jerk.
SPEAKER_00Mr. Boogie. That's it. That's all I got. Matt? Matt?
SPEAKER_03So mine was, I know I, but it was it was weird because I had uh enjoyable character was uh Ellison. I also had him as my worst character.
SPEAKER_00So twist. So here's the thing. Can we do that?
SPEAKER_02You did not enjoy the character, you enjoyed the acting. So you enjoyed Ethan Hawk. Thank you. That's that's what you're talking about. So that's what I got you.
SPEAKER_03You get you you took the words out of my beautiful little lips.
SPEAKER_01Your beautiful lips, yeah.
SPEAKER_03So no, I I didn't like him simply because I thought he was very selfish. His his whole existence was selfish. As much as he, you know, the the his wife was like, you know, I'm support your support. He's like, I need you, I need you. I need he was very needy to everybody and just was all about himself. And she came in when he's why you know doing his thing in his office, yeah, and she's like, Hey, I'm I'm putting the kids to bed. Oh, can you just go say tell him tell him I said goodnight? It's like, really? You live in the same fucking house. You can't take like 30 seconds to just go out and say goodnight. I just thought he was a very selfish character, and so that's why I didn't like him.
SPEAKER_00But anyways, but do you not think that the wife's dialogue villainized him a little bit? Her feelings made him look kind of like the villain, trying to point out and and even Deputy So-and-so, oh, the alcohol, blah blah blah. I've I said this last night watching it. I felt like they painted him as the bad guy when I think he's just a author with a mission, and he he did get wrapped up in his mission a little bit, but I did think they villainized him a little bit, where he isn't the true villain of the movie.
SPEAKER_02So for my thoughts on so I had the same annoying character, Ellison. The only thing obviously he had a mission, and I was on board for that. The only part I was when uh it was at it was towards the end when his wife found out that they were still in a house that the Sullivan family passed away in. Right. And he was still like downplaying, and he at that point he was seeing a bunch of crazy stuff and he was still downplaying it. Yeah, he knew there were messed up things going on, but he was still downplaying it so he could stay in the house and try to write this book to you know for all the fame stuff. So that was the only like if he would have switched earlier, I would have been like, Okay, I get it. But the fact that he was still pushing at that point of staying in. The house and finishing this book, I was like a little bit too focused on what his goal is and all that, and not like what's going on with the family and all the kids night walking out into the bushes and all that shit. So that was that was my reason that I was I was annoyed by this creepy, too. And I get the focus and you know, trying to get the stuff done, but I was just like, he's pushing too hard.
SPEAKER_03I understand the craft, right? I mean, he's a craft, he's an artist, so you gotta have the and it does always help to have a supportive, you know, person in your life. If you're gonna have somebody in your life, you need that support. Yeah, so I get that, but I just felt like he was just very sort of self-centered in a way, you know. He he just he was just uh into just what what himself.
SPEAKER_02She did cast a lot of doubt on him to Shelly's point, though. Right, right. When she was talking about like, what if Kentucky Blood was your 15 minutes of fame? Like, he's in the process of starting this book and you're already throwing shade at him, like be on board. So, like to what Shelly said, like, yeah, at that part, yeah, where was the wife coming from?
SPEAKER_00I guess if you're any kind of other artist, you leave your home. So if you look at like actors, singers, dancers, they travel and have to be away sometimes for a while. He just happens to do an art that he can do from within his home. In a moment, but he is well, I mean, you know, murder house aside. Murder house. Not that I'm making excuses for some of the behavior. I'm not gonna let go the fact that he didn't tell his wife that they moved into the house where the murder happened. That that was shitty.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But other than that, I feel like everyone else's dialogue and narrative painted him as more villain-like than he actually was.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, right. That's my only thoughts. That's my only thoughts.
SPEAKER_00You guys, you guys, and I agree with you all too.
SPEAKER_02But I but I love what you brought up about the wife. She was kind of bland and didn't really think about her. But when you said that like she was painting him out as a villain, I thought of that scene and like her not really supporting him like in a in like a shady way. I was like, yeah, that was kind of messed up that that happened.
SPEAKER_03But 10 years. Yeah. Ten years. Since Kentucky Blood? For Kentucky Blood. And he hasn't, he hasn't, like, I understand, like, like as a writer, you gotta get into it and really like and get involved and stuff, but he couldn't do anything for 10 years.
SPEAKER_02Well, I think he didn't he try fiction. He was trying to write. Yeah, he was trying to write fiction. Oh, that's right. Yeah, he did say that. He taught, yeah. So he was he was doing stuff, but it wasn't like his passion. Okay, well then maybe I missed it. Maybe I missed that part. The true crime novels were his passion.
SPEAKER_00Because I think the wife said at one point you could teach again. Yeah. And he's like, I can't go back to teaching.
SPEAKER_02He can't go back, yeah. So he was doing stuff, but it wasn't his passion. So he was trying to get back into it.
SPEAKER_00And then he because it had been 10 years, they were losing money and they were not able to afford the house they were in, and then that house obviously came on the market for the house.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's right. I do now. It's an option on Zillow. If you if you look hard enough, you can find it on Zillow, but you click murder house.
SPEAKER_00But you know what? Not always, because when I was looking for homes, they took me to a house right across the street from a cemetery.
SPEAKER_04Oh.
SPEAKER_00Literally, it was House Road Cemetery, and the the realtor was like, Let's go see it. I'm like, I'm good. Uh I'm not gonna wake up and have morning coffee with Bill, George, and Bob across the street.
SPEAKER_03The caretakers.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, exactly. Yeah, that's crazy.
SPEAKER_00It happens.
SPEAKER_02That was that was most annoying characters. Guys, there's a shit ton. Favorite kills slash scares.
SPEAKER_00I had a hard time picking. There were so many good kill scenes in this movie that I had a hard time picking. I mean, we've got all the home movies.
SPEAKER_02Yes. So the first one was Pool Party 66, which was the family drowning, and then next one was Barbecue 79, which was Family Burned in the Co. And then there was Lawn Work. That was the one. Mine too. Lawn work was 86. Yeah. Lawnmower running over someone, and then Sleepy Time uh was the 90s. Yeah, it was 98 and the family throat slit, and then uh family hanging out was was was the house. The most recent one, yeah, was the Sullivan family. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Well, my favorite one though was pool party.
SPEAKER_03That was your favorite one, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I guess because like you got to see a lot of the kill in pool partying.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, whereas some of them I mean the family hanging out, yes, their little feet, whatever. You see that one a lot though. Yeah, yeah. So pool party, when he pulls them in and then they're in, they hit the water, then you see just their feet going around. And then that's your first glance at Bagul, too, or Mr. Boogie, whatever you want to call him. So I had to pick Family Pool Party, was my favorite kill. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00My favorite scare was in the addict when he goes into one of the boxes and something grabs him.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_00Am I remembering this correctly? Yeah. That made me jump.
SPEAKER_02Is it where the floor broke and he like fell through the either that time or one other time?
SPEAKER_00It was one of the attic scenes that made me jump.
SPEAKER_02So the first scene, so there was a scorpion. There was a scorpion up there, he saw that, and then he ran into the snake under the lid. Yeah. I thought there was one other time.
SPEAKER_03I don't remember the hand part. I thought he got grabbed by snake. In the picture, in the picture, it shows him like he's looking through his pictures that he that he had or whatever. Yeah, because he had his hands. And there's like there's like hands on his shoulder and then all these like little kid hands coming up.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that didn't really scare me, but yeah.
SPEAKER_03No, I I maybe I missed it.
SPEAKER_00There was one of the times in the attic. I can't remember which one, where it did get me really good.
SPEAKER_02I thought you were gonna say when he went upstairs in the in the attic and the kids were watching like the eight millimeter projector and the bagul like jump scared us. Maybe that was pretty good.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, that got me. Yeah. But mine was the lawn, the lawnmower one. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_00Well that one was scary too. That made me jump with the music that and the speed of it.
SPEAKER_03Then it started off like slow, like the lawnmower, like you know, started off kind of slow, and then it started getting faster, faster, and then all of a sudden his body appears, and you're like, oh my god. Yeah. He even like jumps. You don't see anything really, but it's just like it freaked the shit out of me. I was like, oh my god. I'm like, I'm writing that down. That's number one.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that was my number one as well. Uh during that during that scene, uh with like the music, like the dent, like there's a there's a track in that music where it's just someone going, Oh really? Like it's like a vomit, like your cat in the middle, your cat in the middle of the night, like vomiting. And then what what was so cool about it was yeah, it was the only uh footage that made Ellison react in just absolute terror, where you like had to walk away and hit it hit him like a freight train. And it that scene was fucking terrifying.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but I have to give kudos to like the directors and editors or whatever. Um they showed us the kills that weren't gory, so you still had it. But when the really gory ones, they they were tasteful.
SPEAKER_02Is that a good word for kills?
SPEAKER_00Well they they they tried while still being scary.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and they tried for I think a PG 13. They did, yeah. Uh because there wasn't no sex, no blood. Yeah, yeah. There was just a little bit in the in the family scene, but they were trying to blurred out. The content of the film of the film was just like, no, you're getting an R for this.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah. I mean, you literally showed four people hanging out.
SPEAKER_03I don't want to step on Derek. Were you saying anything else? I just I was gonna say, did any the one that freaked me out was when Stephanie appeared right cheek to cheek with him, and I was just like, holy shit. Oh, yeah. And then like like that freaked me out.
SPEAKER_02Because there was that montage with the kids.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, where they started, and that's where I was saying they would come in and then they would like run away and stuff. And like she was like, she was the first one that that appeared, and she was literally like cheek to cheek with him, just and he had you know, and how that was shot and how she pumped up, yeah. I was just like, holy shit, yeah.
SPEAKER_00It actually didn't scare me.
SPEAKER_03I got chills, children. Shelley's uh bad trade. She knows.
SPEAKER_00Well, no, it just she was kind of cheesy looking. So when she popped up, I was like, Oh hey.
SPEAKER_03Hey, how's it going? Yeah, oh cute, nice.
SPEAKER_02Were there any other ones? Because there's chock full or scares that you guys want to talk about.
SPEAKER_00A dog was pretty scary.
SPEAKER_02The dog that whole scene was pretty funky because uh what led him outside, he he printed he printed up that picture of Bagul in the bushes from when the the Sullivan family was hanging, and he just held it up to the window in the backyard, and then when he dropped it, Bagul was out in the bushes in his backyard, and it was like that. Was such a great scene. Yeah, that was a good one, too. Awesome. And then and then he went outside, and obviously he found his son in the bushes sleepwalking, but he ran to the dog. And then so much going on in that scene, but it was so awesome.
SPEAKER_03I feel like in some of these movies, there's always something that puts you back in into reality, like puts you in check in a sense. When that particular scene where he's out there, and then it did not, like you said, how Stephanie did not bother you, like the kids in the back. Yeah, like they were all standing there, I'm like, Oh yeah, this is a movie. Yeah, like it was like that was that was pretty uh that was pretty lame. I don't know. That didn't bother me at all. I was like just the silhouettes of the kids. Yeah, just like standing there, and I'm like, okay.
SPEAKER_02Well, that's what I meant. Like they were like subtle to like ooh, like things that made you like tense up a little bit, and then just these crazy jump scares. So I enjoyed it was a good balance. The range, yeah, absolutely. Alright, guys, final cut. And this I just revealed a shocking ending of the movie, and we discuss and give her ratings of one to five stabs. One stab, atrocious, no redeeming value, waste of time. Two stabs, bad, forgettable, poorly done, three stabs, mixed feelings, mediocre, okay. Four stabs, good, interesting, enjoyable, and then the ultimate five stabs, masterpiece, excellent, perfect.
SPEAKER_00This is your five spoiler warning, your family-friendly spoiler warning. If you want to watch Sinister have never seen it, this is gonna ruin the whole movie for you because this is a mystery, and we're about to unfold the mystery. Yes, we are. And by looking at Derek's page, you can probably fast forward like five, ten minutes. I didn't talk a lot.
SPEAKER_02I take the third, I take the third act, and then we're gonna break it down.
SPEAKER_03The first is just a bio on Derek. So I like long walks on the beach.
SPEAKER_00So, yes, spoiler alert, we're about to spill the beans. Take it away, Derek.
SPEAKER_02All right, you ready? After fleeing the Sullivan's residence, Ellison, now back at his old home, receives historical images associated with Bagul from Professor Jonas, including three symbolic animals that Ellison encountered at the Stevenson's house a scorpion, a snake, and a dog, along with the Bagul symbol that's visible in the barbecue and sleepy time home movie footage. Early Christians believe that these images served as a gateway for the demon to come from the spiritual realm to the mortal world, and that Bagul can possess children who view these images. Distraught, Ellison finishes deleting all the images off his computer. Upon entering his attic, he discovers the unharmed projector in eight millimeter movies, along with a new film labeled Extended Cut Endings. He decides to set up the projector and watch the newly found footage, but before he can, Deputy So-and-So calls, and Ellison finally answers a call after avoiding his previous attempts. The deputy informs him that every murdered family had once lived in the house where the previous murders took place, and that each new murder occurred shortly after the family moved from the crime scene to their new residence, tracing it all the way back to the murder of the Martinez family by car fire in 1979 after they moved to Sacramento, California, from Portland, Oregon, the site of the 1966 drownings, our earliest video. The deputy informs Ellison that by moving away from the Stevenson's house, he's marked himself and his family as the next victims. With this startling information, Ellison decides to sit down and watch the extended footage. It shows the missing children coming on screen following each murder, revealing themselves to be the killers under Brigle's influence. Ellison all of a sudden becomes lightheaded and notices a green liquid at the bottom of his coffee mug, along with a note from his daughter Ashley, saying Good night, Daddy. Before losing consciousness, he awakens to find himself, Tracy, and Trevor bound to gagged on the floor. Ashley, who is now under Brighoul's possession, approaches them while filming with the eight millimeter camera. She tells her father that she will make him famous again and proceeds to murder her family with an axe. She then uses their blood to paint pictures on the walls of the hallway along with Bagul's symbol on the door. Ashley views the film of her murders while drawing the murder in the lid of the home movies box, and the missing children stare at her through the film being projected on the wall, but flee when Bagul appears. He lifts Ashley into his arm and teleports into the film. The box of films sit in the Oswald family's attic, now accompanied by Ashley's reel titled House Painting Twelve. What an ending.
SPEAKER_03Yes. Yes. We should tie back into Matt's favorite line. That was uh uh Ashley telling her dad, uh, don't worry, Daddy, I'll make you famous again. Yes. That was my favorite uh line.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because super. He was striving you're striving so hard for it, and you were gonna get your fame again, dad, after all that pushing. So yeah, that was good.
SPEAKER_03In your bottom part, your your torso, your legs, your yeah, your belly.
SPEAKER_02All right, guys, you ready for the stabs? Let's do it. Let's do this. Matt, give us your stabs. So I gave it a four.
SPEAKER_03You gave it a four. I really like this movie. I could have I could have done with a little more scares though.
SPEAKER_02What?
SPEAKER_03I liked them. I liked them, but I like it. I like being scared.
SPEAKER_02Scientifically, this is the scariest movie. Really? Yeah. Forbes did some sort of like they put like a heart rate. So I did it. They put a heart rate monitor on people. Oh yeah. And they had them watch like 30 different movies, and this one was number one. This movie was technically the scientifically the scariest movie because they didn't have the most. They didn't have what?
SPEAKER_03They didn't have me in the room.
SPEAKER_02I guess they didn't. But yeah, that's the one. No, I liked it.
SPEAKER_03I liked it, but I wanted to. Yeah, I like more scares.
SPEAKER_02Interesting. All right. Well, I so out of the 15 movies that we've watched this season, this is probably the scariest one. Ethan Hawk killed it, portraying, you know, the author. The bad guy Bagul, I thought was amazing. I just overall fucking love this movie. 4.5. 4.5. Shelly, what do you got for your stabs?
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna do it, guys.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna do it.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna give it a five.
SPEAKER_02Oh.
SPEAKER_01Five. Yay! That's awesome. Nice.
SPEAKER_00I just think overall, it's one of those movies that make me scared in my own house. Yes. It had great jump scares, great acting, great audio, great sound, great editing, great story. It's not one of those stories, it's not trying to do something that's been done before.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00The whole movie aspect. I just love perfect. I mean, maybe I'm not saying that I love snowfills or anything like that. Don't think of it that way. But I love watching those like murder scenes, and that's like what I live for.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Southern Slows.
SPEAKER_00My murder slings with a nice little sweet tea on my front porch.
SPEAKER_03The murder signs of my and the hanging chair.
SPEAKER_00But it was it was cut that. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_02No, that was good. But it was so perfect. And even like Bugul, like a lot of films will draw from like, you know, actually like you know, pagan deities and stuff, but he was completely made up. Yeah, it was amazing. And the you know, the whole story with eight millimeter movies. I've got to I just think Bum House does it so they do. They're fantastic. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Every the and they're they are always doing something that no one else has done. I mean, freaky. I'm not gonna judge them on that.
SPEAKER_02I still need to watch that. I need to watch it too.
SPEAKER_00Because obviously we've done the Freaky Friday thing several times, and that's basically what that is. But and Happy Death Day 2. I'm not gonna judge them on Happy Death Day 2. But other than that, Blum House is pretty perfect when it comes to their horror movies, and I just I have to give this a five. I feel like we needed some someone needed to do it to give everybody the courage to do it, and I'm gonna do it.
SPEAKER_02I know, I I I was close to, yeah, but uh, I was just I was like, ugh. And I pulled back a little bit, but I love I love that you gave it a five. That's awesome.
SPEAKER_03Great. So I so yeah, I gave it a four just because I I don't know what's out there. I'm still I'm still waiting for that five. I liked it.
SPEAKER_02Don't tell me I get the apprehension, like you know, there there could always be something be that's better, and you're afraid to give it that five, but I love that also show you. Well, the fuck it, it's a five.
SPEAKER_03Well, the variety of movies that we do and stuff too. I mean, we've got slashers, we've got comedy, we've got so I mean I'm uh we might fall fall upon a comedy because I really like comedy books. We have not yet. You know, what we've got.
SPEAKER_00We have some really quality ones. Like I think Cabin Woods, Borderlines Comedy, and horror, and then Tuckerndale or Tucker is obviously but it was a great this was a this was a great movie.
SPEAKER_03I really I really enjoyed it. Absolutely, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I just couldn't be hard on this one at all. Even the little things that I found. I just I can't I can't take away from the what were some of the little things though the the darkness and that it really does scare me, but I think that darkness would be the only thing. Is that enough to knock it down to a 4.5? Not it wasn't for me this time because it was very little parts where it was so dark that I couldn't see.
SPEAKER_02So we were all grasping at straws to find cons and us, so definitely love it. All right, guys. Next up, voices from beyond. And this Shelly goes through our social media, shares any thoughts you guys shared with us, and uh take it away.
SPEAKER_00All right, as always, you can find us on Facebook and it's Instagram under our name, little bracket of horrors, and let's get to it. Voices from beyond beyond somebody farted.
SPEAKER_02I love fart noises, they make me chuckle.
SPEAKER_00Voices from beyond. Uh, first, as always, we have Lisa C. So, from a viewer's point, not too bad of a movie. I appreciate the found footage aspect of the murders. The music they play during the murders is creepy as hell. I appreciate the ending where the bad guy wins. It's so unexpected, and if done right, can blow the viewer away. Of course, some loopholes, but overall, I'm overall an original script. I give this a three and a half out of five stabs. She was kind of hard on it. Now, from a realistic logical person, if this shit was found, happened in a house I moved into, I'm out, bitches. Like a spirit whispers, get out to me, baby. You don't have to tell me twice, I'm out. Oh, yeah. Word. In fact, keep my things, I can buy more. I find out I find out my house had murders in it, betcha ass is up for sale within the minutes I find out. Lol, oh, and if my spouse moves me into a murder house without telling me, divorce.
SPEAKER_02But to how how the story was set up, the hook was as soon as you left is when Bagul came and got your kids.
SPEAKER_00So set up the timeline.
SPEAKER_02You better plan on staying in that spooky house.
SPEAKER_00Get got get got uh Justin E says it's one of their favorite scaries. Travis B said it was a good movie. Nice. Jennifer S said she watched this a few years ago, never even heard of it before she stumbled across it, which is weird because she lives for scary movies. She thought it was good, actually scared her a little, which not many scary movies do. And then we have Jeremy W. Uh, well, I have to say it was very well done. He loved Ethan Hawk. It was his favorite character in the movie. Least favorite, and I think you guys will agree with me, was the deputy OMG, talk about Starstruck fan.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay. You're he's all from a different scent. Yes.
SPEAKER_00As far as kill scares, um, I got two one two. One in the scene where Ellison is walking down the hallway and you see just a box in the kitchen. He starts to walk towards it, opens up his kid, does a backward spider crawl out of the box and starts screaming. And second was when he's walking through the house, hears a noise coming from the attic, goes to investigate, and see the kid sitting around the projector watching it, and then slowly turn to look at him back to the screen, and then you see the ghoul on the screen. Let's see. Next thing you know, he pops right into view in front of Ethan Hawk, falls down the steps. Favorite line is where the little girl has him, his wife, and the boy tied up on the floor, and she looks at that and says, Don't worry, Daddy, I'm gonna make you famous. Oh, I don't see that. You had the same, yeah. Yeah, same favorite line there. She then puts the camera down, picks up the axe, and takes a swing. You never see her cut them up, but she makes a little drawing like all the other kids did in the box slid. All in all, she Jeremy gave it five stabs.
SPEAKER_02Ooh, very good. That's a strong stab.
SPEAKER_00Uh yeah. I have watched the movie. He's seen that movie a few times and it still makes him jump. Yeah, it does. Yeah. Thank you, Jeremy. Great review.
SPEAKER_02Thanks, guys. Thank you, everyone, for uh contributing. That was awesome.
SPEAKER_00Always appreciate it. We want to hear from you. So, like, definitely message us, comment on our stuff, tell us what you want to see, what you want to hear. We're open. Also, if you listen to us in any of the podcast streaming, as always, give us a like and a follow and a review. We love all that stuff and we take everything into account. We do.
SPEAKER_03Do you have any interesting facts you want to share? There's so many facts and interesting facts on the show. You want to throw some at us? I will throw some. Okay, cool. Go ahead. So, um, uh, so yeah, so the family that was hanging on the tree were all played by stuntmen. However, when the scene was first done, the stunt coordinator botched the preparations for the scene, resulting in the actual actors being legitimately hung and choked. Fortunately, they all survived, and the corn uh the coordinator was was fired right after.
SPEAKER_02I did see that, and that just boggles my what? Why do you even have people strung up by their necks? Period, and that there's there should be some sort of like they're mechanical. There's like another harness.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. You know, they should be a harness. Why are they putting nooses on on action like actual people?
SPEAKER_02And it's not like they because they all had bags on their heads, so it's not like we needed to see the noose on their necks because their faces were all hidden anyways. Exactly. I don't understand how that happened. That shouldn't have happened at all. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_00Some poltergeist bad luck kind of shit right there that I probably would have been like, maybe we shouldn't. Yeah. Maybe we should stop this movie.
SPEAKER_03Who stopped that? Yeah. Was okay.
unknownRight?
SPEAKER_03So, yeah, so there were a lot of things. Um, around 27 minutes, the pool party uh 66 snuff film uh in Sinister was extremely difficult to s to uh to film. Uh the actors and actresses who played the doomed family were tied down to lawn chairs and pulled underwater in reality, and the filmmaker had to be extremely careful that nobody was harmed during the film this scene.
SPEAKER_00What the fuck were they doing in those movies?
SPEAKER_02The actual horror they had to go through to make those home movies. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Is that worse than Jennifer Lawrence and Mother?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, wish she had to take some time out. Yeah, that's crazy.
SPEAKER_00They're like, we're gonna drown you.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so I hope you're okay with that.
SPEAKER_00We'll get you out in time. Don't worry about it.
SPEAKER_03And you get to craft services. You can just help yourself. Yeah. Eat whatever you want. All the chicken tenders. So then also the actor who played the boogeyman, he was also submerged in water with wax on him and stuff, too. So it's like, all this shit, man. It's like they were going for it, man. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I guess I appreciate it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It came out perfect, so they did something right.
SPEAKER_03So, and then also Ethan Hawk never saw the Super 8 snuff films prior to the date of recording Sinister. Oh, nice. When the scene um where the character watches the snuff film uh was ready to be recorded, the soundtrack was matched up with the film, and Hawk played out his role. His reaction to the films were recorded for Sinister and used in the final film. That's awesome.
SPEAKER_02So that's that scene with the llama is legit then. Yeah. Jumped out of his seat, scurried back.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's crazy. Oh, so the Boogeyman, one of the co-writers, said was originally intended to look more like Johnny Depp than the Charlie and Chocolate Factory. Oh, like a Willy Wonka film. Yeah, Willy Wonka. Um, after going over this idea, it was decided that the uh deity looking like Willy Wonka uh would be too silly for the film. So they had, you know, they scared it up and stuff. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Great choice.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so that's crazy though. All this stuff that these actors and actresses went through, it's like, holy like near death crap, man. And I'm still boggled by the hanging scene. That just I know who said go ahead and do that. Like, even the actors, I'd be like, wait a second. You're really putting a new surrounding? And there's not like there's harnesses for this kind of shit. Like, we don't really need to be hanging here.
SPEAKER_02Alright, guys, let's move on to Wheel of Death. And this matches spins the wheel for the movie that we'll be watching next. But before we do that, we need to replace uh Sinister on the wheel, and then uh we're gonna read off the movies. So Shelly's got her Shelly's got her mitts in the Frankenstein monster bag, and she's digging in there for a Get in there, Shelly. Get in the bag, get in that bag, grab us a good one, get us a good one there, Shelly.
SPEAKER_00Alright.
SPEAKER_02I don't know if I like that sound.
SPEAKER_00Well, it's psychological horror.
SPEAKER_02Psychological horror.
SPEAKER_00And it's called Goodnight, Mommy.
SPEAKER_02Goodnight, mommy. Oh, I know this one.
SPEAKER_002014. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I've never heard of it. It's two little kids, and her mom goes to get uh like plastic surgery. She comes back and like they're it's it's like a weird diamond.
SPEAKER_00Sounds amazing. It should be fun.
SPEAKER_03Sounds great.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna I'm gonna eat this.
SPEAKER_03Any well-known actors or actresses on that?
SPEAKER_02I think actually it's I think it's a foreign film. Perfect. My favorite.
SPEAKER_03This is gonna be awesome. It's on Tubi, so Oh, even bet well, Tubi's great, but makes no difference of how terrible this movie sounds.
SPEAKER_02Did you use did you use my uh peacock to watch cool, great.
SPEAKER_03I just want to help because you've given me shudder. So uh The Wheel of Death, we still got ten movies on here uh with the added uh uh Goodnight Mommy. So uh they are The Cabin in the Wood, Itchy the Killer, High Tension, Knight of the Living Dead, City of the Dead, Wolf Cop, the newly entered Goodnight Mommy, Tucker and Dale, Nasferatu, and Shelly Toby didn't do it. Alright, what's up? And Thirst.
SPEAKER_02Thirst.
SPEAKER_00Alright.
SPEAKER_02Spin that wheel. Alright, everybody, get your get your shells close to the body photo. Let's do this thing. Here we go.
SPEAKER_00Wheel of death. Wheel of death. Wheel of death. Wheel of death. No! Wheel of death. Did you see it?
SPEAKER_03Oh no. Oh, we got thirst. Thirst? Thirst.
SPEAKER_02Thirst. I don't have my phone.
SPEAKER_00I got it. Thirst 2020.
SPEAKER_02Thirst 2020. Cool.
SPEAKER_00And it's about Hulda and Hurt Thor. I probably saying that wrong. Um, and it can be found on Shudder and Tubi.
SPEAKER_02Tubi? Alright, cool. Great.
SPEAKER_00So there it is. That's Thirst.
SPEAKER_02So Thirst is the next one. Uh that episode Make sure you get the right one. You said Thirst 2020. Yeah, we'll post about it. So it's Thursda 2020. Uh the next episode drops September 14th. And then make sure you stay with us and tune in to the end of the season where all these movies we watch will be thrown into a March Madness style tournament to determine which movies get cut and which film will be crowned champion of Little Bracket of Horrors. SPEAKER_03What are you doing in here? Oh my gosh, restart. No, we gotta restart.
SPEAKER_02Oh no, yes, we're recording.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_02I am recording, but I'm gonna edit it all out.
SPEAKER_03I see it. Ah, there it is. She's got the double barrel fingers, and double barreled shotgun finger.
SPEAKER_02You can look at my middle fingers, sir.
SPEAKER_03You can take it or you won't take it. Wait, what? I don't know. Home is where dad is. That's what my mug says.
SPEAKER_02What's your mug say? Home is where dad is.
SPEAKER_03Home is where dad is. Yep. DS.
SPEAKER_02Especially when your parents are separated.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Or your something tragic happened to your mom. Oh. That's right.
SPEAKER_00Dead mom.
SPEAKER_03Dead mom. She went to heaven or hell. We don't know.
SPEAKER_02This is very triggering.
SPEAKER_00There's a song from the Broadway musical Beetlejuice called Dead Mom.
SPEAKER_02Oh, nice. How was that?
SPEAKER_00Really good.
SPEAKER_03Let's talk about it.
SPEAKER_04That's cool.
SPEAKER_02Bullshit. Of course, Pucky.
SPEAKER_00But like the music I mean, that is not bullshit. Being dead sick.
SPEAKER_03That does sound pretty good.
SPEAKER_00It's a really good show.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Although Cursed Child was really good too. If you like Harry Potter.
SPEAKER_03Cursed Child. Yeah. Cursed the Alley.
SPEAKER_02Kirsty Alley's Child. Cursed Y Alley's Child. She hasn't done anything since uh Look Who's Talking again.
SPEAKER_00She's done several things. She did a whole TV show. Nope.
SPEAKER_03Nope. She fell at the face of the earth. I don't know what you're talking about. After Cheers, I didn't see her anymore.
SPEAKER_00No, she did a whole TV show. Christy's Closet or something like that.
SPEAKER_02That was Veronica's Closet.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that was a And that was Christy Alley. No, that was Veronica. It was named after Veronica.
SPEAKER_00No, it was Christy Alley. I'm looking it up right now.
SPEAKER_03She does the voice for SpongeBob SquarePants. She does Spongebob.
SPEAKER_00Square. And Patrick.
SPEAKER_03She does Patrick.
SPEAKER_00Christy Alley. Christy. There was a show called Christy.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah. Wasn't she in a show where she was like Fat actress? Fat actress? Oh, that sounds like a good thing.
SPEAKER_00And these were all post 9-11.
SPEAKER_02Never forget.
SPEAKER_00Well, she did that movie Drop Dead Gorgeous. You know, she was like the uh the she was the uh it was Drop Dead Gorgeous and there was a uh beauty, like it was the uh what's it was it called where they went to win the things um winded things like uh what's it uh what's it called? Like Myth Universe and uh a pageant. It was a beauty pageant. So she was like the director of the beauty pageant. She talked like this. Oh shit because it took place in Minnesota.
SPEAKER_03So she really branched out on her uh acting. She talked differently, she talked like that. Guys, I gotta I got I got something to add to this character. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like, I'm gonna talk like this. So what do you think of my accent? You think it's good? All right. So who wants to do the intro?
