Welcome to the show, everyone. I'm Derek.
SPEAKER_00I'm Shelly.
SPEAKER_01And I'm Matt. And we are Little Bracket of Horrors. And we are going to have a special little episode. Today we're talking about high tension, but we're going to have some bonus content at the end, so make sure you stay tuned because all of us went to Halloween Horror Nights. Yes, we did. Super excited to talk to you guys. We're just going to chat it up a little bit, talk about some of the houses, some of our favorites, least favorites, and then uh merchandise, drinks, anything we experience.
SPEAKER_00Just a little like little toe dip into the horror nights.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Give you guys a little bit of a sound effect for that or whatever it was. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I make all my own sound effects. I did not know.
SPEAKER_03You're like the uh regular Michael Winslow.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. No, I'm just good.
SPEAKER_01All right, guys. So first up is Dig Up the Bones. And this Matt introduces a movie we watch and gives a brief summary without going over the ending. Yeah, Matt, take it away.
SPEAKER_03High tension is a 2005 horror thriller. Uh the runtime is an hour and 29 minutes. Rotten Tomato gives it a whopping 40%. The initial release date was uh June 10th, 2004. And uh I'm gonna try to do as best I can with these names. This is my favorite. This movie is uh a French movie, if I'm if I'm you are correct. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. So the uh director was Alexandra Aja. Aja.
SPEAKER_01I thought it was Aja.
SPEAKER_00Is it Aha?
SPEAKER_03I thought it was Aja. Well, there's a J in there, so it's French Jelly Abe C de UFC. Whoa, okay. Let's go with Shelley's. Sure.
SPEAKER_00I know the whole French alphabet.
SPEAKER_03Should I just hand over this to you so you can work? So then we have um, yeah, so that was the director, Alexandra Aha. Am I right? Did I say it wrong? It's Aja. Whatever. That I did the alphabet. You son of a bitch. Whatever. We're keeping it. I don't care. All right, so this is starring Cecilia de France, played by Maria. Well, this is Maria's her character. Sorry. You got me all thrown off with that thing there.
SPEAKER_00Well, because her name's literally Cecilia of France. Of France, right.
SPEAKER_03And then we have uh Ma Wen.
SPEAKER_00Ma Wen. Ma Wen.
SPEAKER_03And her character was Alexa, and then we have uh Philippe Nojon was Le Terra. Which is the killer. Is it did I say that right? Le Terra? Or whatever. Sure. Come on, I thought you were the first one. I'm not helping anyway. All right. Anyways, there were no sequels done of this movie. Music by France Francois Educe.
SPEAKER_00I'm definitely gonna say it's Francois.
SPEAKER_03Uh production companies are Alexandra Films, distributed by uh Eurocorp. So the box office gross here was six six point eight million. The gross budget was two point five million, grossing at a three point six million dollars.
SPEAKER_01Not bad for a coin.
SPEAKER_03All right. This is about two female students, Maria and Alexia, arrived at Alexia's secluded family farmhouse to study in hopes of a peaceful weekend of studying. The two students are unaware of a sadistic killer on the loose. When the ladies are all settled in for the night, the killer stops by the family farm, brutally killing the entire family, even the poor family dog. He then kidnaps Alexia and Maria tries to rescue her friend. Will Maria continue to see dead people or will she be the hero and save the day?
SPEAKER_01Did you do that? Yes, I did.
SPEAKER_03I did that. This whole this whole fucking thing I did, man. This is all my words.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it is. So are you done? That's it. Oh, okay. Great. There you go. Good. All right. We we pulled the movie last episode. How did you guys feel initially? Did you have any? I was I was kind of excited.
SPEAKER_03I was kind of excited simply because we've had some fans really, really request this one and hoping that the Almighty Wheel landed on it. So I was excited to watch it.
SPEAKER_01I know our through thick and thin fan, uh Lisa C was definitely she was shouting for this movie to be uh picked by the wheel. So, how'd you feel about it, Shelly?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I was excited. I'd never seen it. Yeah, I knew nothing going into it.
SPEAKER_01Same here. I have a history with this movie. I I love this movie, so I was excited for everyone to watch it and us to be able to talk about it. So I think with that, we will move on into our segment called Feasting Fiends. And this we just discuss the topics of overall pros, overall cons of the movie, favorite lines, most enjoyable and most annoying characters, and then we finish it off with our favorite kill slash scares. So, Matt, what's your pros?
SPEAKER_03So my pros were I really liked the grittiness of this movie. I like just the style it was done. It definitely seemed like a foreign film. I loved the uh killing scenes. The killing scenes in it were done very, very, in my opinion, done very well. Yeah, I mean, and that's I thought the acting was good. I thought uh the main character, uh Celicia Del France, uh Maria, she did a very, very good job. So I I enjoyed it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Great Shelly, what about you?
SPEAKER_00I started off with a soundtrack.
SPEAKER_01Okay, cool.
SPEAKER_00It made me feel physically ill and uncomfortable. It was just it worked into the overall edge of your seat, they kind of kept you in with I think you described it once Derek as like the mouse and cat game that uh they play. It just it was just noises at time, the soundtrack, and it was very unerving, and I think that really added to the overall feel of the movie. The kills were all very practical and fierce, I thought. Like they were whoa, they were brutal. Like I actually only watched this once, I don't think I could watch it again. Oh boy, but um yeah, they were all very brutal. Uh and I'm just gonna say the twist ending. I did really enjoy that. I I don't want to say too much because we're obviously gonna talk about it. I'll say more then, but yeah, I really like the twist ending, but I think the soundtrack really killed it in this movie, the overall sound effects, everything.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, for me, uh just like Shelly, I love the twist ending. You know, Matt was saying that this film was so brutal, but you know, which was great on its own merit, but I thought the ending at the end just gave it an additional like wow factor, and it was it was great. So I enjoyed that. I thought Cecile De France, she was she was amazing, just like Matt said. I thought her performance was up there as far as the films we've watched. Her performance was up there with Jennifer Lawrence being the mother. I thought every emotion she she went for, she sold it a thousand percent. Absolutely. So she coded. There were a couple shots like uh cinematically that I I thought were awesome, like the editing. Uh, one of the shots is when we're introduced to the killer and he hits Alex's dad in the head, and it's a quick shot to Marie like standing upstairs, like as soon as it happens, and it like fast forward rewinds downstairs to the back to the dad, like stumbling back into the house. I love that scene. I thought it was awesome.
SPEAKER_00Was that almost appeared to be like a one-shot take kind of scene where they started with Maria and backed all the way out to the where they kind of filmed it all in one swoop?
SPEAKER_01I I just thought it was so cool. Yeah, it was you know, a quick shot of her reaction, fast forward, like I I say fast forward, it was like a you know, quick back step all the way down through the house, all the way to the location where you know the violence was happening, and I loved it so much. And then I was also saying when Marie broke out of the killer's van at the gas station and he was filling up the gas, like it there was the clicking of the gas pump happening, and it it served as for me audibly, it served as like a countdown to like the time she had until she had to get into the gas station or the killer was gonna catch her escaping the van. So I thought that was really cool.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they really played off of like sound, like the sound was part of the movie.
SPEAKER_01It was not just the music, but like the like I said, the songs like the fifth character or something, yeah. Yeah, exactly. In high tension scenes, there was just like little like stressful little beeps happening that were just I don't know, they added to it, it was a great marriage of the two with the audio and the visual.
SPEAKER_00They still do that a lot in movies today. Like I can't I'm not gonna remember the name of this movie. It has Harry Styles, it's an army war movie. Yeah, but they use a repeating clock, like a tick of a clock all throughout the movie, like a doot.
SPEAKER_03Interesting.
SPEAKER_00It was like four or five stories were going on at the same time, but they all coincidedly had this. So I mean it's a very good play that some of these directors and artistic people use.
SPEAKER_01And then I I just wanted to give a shout-out to the guy who did the practical effects. Uh, I enjoyed him a lot with the brutality. It's the same guy, so we started off in the in like the Jalo films, and it was uh Janito De Rossi, and he actually worked on a couple of uh Lucio's films. Yeah. We had the New York Ripper early. He didn't work on New York Ripper, but he did I think Cemetery and From Beyond, I think were some of Luccio's films, but he he obviously code it. So those are my pros. Very cool, very good. Matt con.
SPEAKER_03So so I'm gonna I know Shelly said that that this is this was her pro. I'm gonna I'm gonna go with this as being my con. Uh-huh. I don't know how much of a fan I am of twist endings. Gotcha. And it maybe it maybe it's only because I feel like it's it's kind of played out a bit, but I appreciate it. I do appreciate it. But I just I couldn't there were a lot of like for me watching it, I felt like there were a lot of inconsistencies of how of how it could be this twist. And I'm not gonna give the twist ending, yeah, but there were a lot of inconsistencies of it, in my opinion, through my eyes. So I mean, some of the scenes, and again, I don't want to get into it. I just I I just didn't see, okay, how is that this, but this is going on. Yeah. And this, so I that's what that's part of the uh cons that I didn't like about it. There wasn't a lot about this movie that I that I did not like, but the ending was probably my most disappointing part. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Oh man. Well, you were yeah, you are totally not alone. Yeah, a lot of people poo-poo on this movie because of the ending. Oh they love the rest of it and they poo-poo on the ending. So you are not alone. Yeah, yeah. Very common feeling.
SPEAKER_00I have more to add to that when we get to talking about it, but they actually, and and just to skim over it a little, they were originally gonna do it differently and change their minds.
SPEAKER_03Wow. So we can get into that movie. For sure. Yeah, but so yeah, so that was my con. I just didn't care for the ending. The twist I didn't care for. Yeah. So yeah.
SPEAKER_00Awesome.
SPEAKER_03Shelly. Cool. Come on.
SPEAKER_00Obviously, don't kill the dog. Yeah. Don't kill the dog.
SPEAKER_03Yes. I forgot about that. Yeah. We we had uh that's a big no-no for you, huh, Shelly?
SPEAKER_01Don't kill the dog. But we didn't see it. We just saw him on the ground with like red stuff on.
SPEAKER_03I heard it. No, but there was his gut, his little like guts were hanging out, too.
SPEAKER_00We literally didn't see like one bit of it because you saw the dog's body.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I would have rather just like the dog's dead. I like you know it, but you don't see anything else from there. But they showed us.
SPEAKER_03Maybe just like a like a squeal from the dog. We didn't even hear a squeal.
SPEAKER_00We also could have just like quiet dog. You knew the dog was gonna die because the dog is there. He's growling at the intruder, the la killer.
SPEAKER_01The la killer.
SPEAKER_00Um so like you're like, he's about to kill this dog. Yeah. I would have rather of them have a shot later on where the dog is just dead on the ground, because presumably he's gonna kill everything in that house.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_00Don't kill the dog. Yeah. Um, the killer to me, like killer.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. La killer.
SPEAKER_00Uh, he was gross.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, super gross.
SPEAKER_00Did not enjoy the little short guy in his coveralls.
SPEAKER_01With his dirty mechanic fingers.
SPEAKER_00And he would just make these noises, and like he would be like, like slurping, and I'm oh okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, there was there was a lot of sexual violence in this film, and he was involved in a lot of it, and his like grunts and like slurping in those scenes. Oh, Shelly is spot on with her with her feelings. I see that.
SPEAKER_00There's an old movie called Taurus Trap. It's really bad, but again, it's a guy in a mask, and he's just going, like, I can't I can't stand that. Don't make awkward noises.
SPEAKER_03So the so this guy then, in my opinion, did his job. Because he's supposed you're supposed to be you're supposed to be creeped out by him.
SPEAKER_00Just don't be gross.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, well that's it.
SPEAKER_00I'm scared of Freddie, but he doesn't sit there and go.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Also, I'm gonna put the little kid into my cons.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00What was he doing?
SPEAKER_01Tommy.
SPEAKER_00Oh what was even when he was tried to escape.
SPEAKER_01So he so he was like, uh yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I know we have like our favorite and loose favorite characters, which I have a different least favorite character. I'm saying the kid in general. No added value. He just wanted to wear a cowboy costume the whole time. And then what what are you doing leaving? And running through the cornfield. And how did you get outside to begin with?
SPEAKER_03Well, it was he was up in his bedroom.
SPEAKER_01Well, yeah, he was up in the bedroom.
SPEAKER_00Um did he leave while maybe he was killing the mom?
SPEAKER_01He ran, I mean, I the door was open because when the killer came in, uh the dad opened the door, so the killer walked in the front door.
SPEAKER_03So he ran past his dead dad.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he ran. Oh my gosh, he had to see his decapitated dad on the stairs. Oh, poor kid. He's just uh he's the MacGyver of little kids, and he ended up outside.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I hated him.
SPEAKER_00Him and the and La Killer. La Killer.
SPEAKER_01So my cons, my DVD broke. So that was my initial con. I had to buy a new DVD. You had to buy a new DVD. So the the version that everyone watched was the one on Tubi or Plex, which uh it's the one that's got the R rating. Obviously, it's different than the NC17 one that's the unedited one. So on that version that's dubbed in English, some of it's dubbed English. There's and there's uh switch to subtitles at other parts, and it's weird. Yeah, when they were calling each other bitches and whores. Yeah, it's when they're yeah, when they're cussing at each other, it was like, oh, it's French now.
SPEAKER_00Well, the end part from like the gas station on, it was all in French. And it ended and I mean there's very little dialogue to begin with in this movie, but from that point on, they stopped trying to dub things.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So I didn't understand that. And the unedited in the unedited version, it's all in French, so you just have to deal with subtitles. But I just I didn't understand the move. I guess on Lion Gate's part to some dubbing.
SPEAKER_00Like a streaming password uh streaming platform choice.
SPEAKER_01It could be. So that's why I just get it out there more, yeah. I didn't understand that, and it was a weird choice. So that that was my only con.
SPEAKER_00Now I know maybe that's a strain a little bit, but so you've watched the NC17 version.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Is there anything that we missed out on the product?
SPEAKER_01I've made a list. Okay. I'd like to just in our interesting facts. I'm gonna go over the the differences from what I watched last night because my new DVD came in. Oh my gosh. Sweet Blu-ray DVDs. They're they're the thing of the future. They're the thing of the future if you guys haven't heard about them.
SPEAKER_00They're still there, but uh at the call it a Blu-ray?
SPEAKER_01It's a Blu-ray DVD. What's a Blu-ray?
SPEAKER_00I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I don't know, but it's it's it's uh blue-colored. That's the way I know. Oh very futuristic, very tron. Very Tron-like. Um so when we get into interesting facts, I'll go over my notes that I wrote down for you. Okay, cool. And that's it.
SPEAKER_00That's that was your only con that your DVD broke?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. All right, cool. Let's move on to favorite lines. Matt, do you have favorite lines? Um it's tough in this movie.
SPEAKER_00It's a it's a hard one.
SPEAKER_03Like Shelly said, there's not a lot of dialogue, but my only thing that I thought was kind of funny is when uh Le Killer is uh mocking, he mocks uh Alexa screaming.
SPEAKER_02Whee!
SPEAKER_01Oh, and that's that was funny.
SPEAKER_03That was the only thing that I thought was.
SPEAKER_01So there was no chuckles in this movie at all. But that made me chuckle at the end of the day. Yeah, because she's mocking her chuckling. Yeah, he was just mocking her screaming. At the end, yeah, at the end, you that was funny. This is the only thing I can think of. Blood-soaked car. Yeah, yeah. All right, Shelly.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think this movie was built not to have a lot of dialogue because it was more about the emotions, high tension. Um, there was one exchange between Alexia and Maria. Alexia says the problem is he's got a girlfriend, he doesn't want to split up with. Maria says, Why are you so interested then? And Alexia says, Someone who's taken must be worth it. I'm skeptical of single guys, and I feel that. I love I love that line. I feel it.
SPEAKER_01That was hilarious. I feel it in my soul. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I can tell you why men are single. Yeah. I can I'll I'll let you know later.
SPEAKER_01That's a separate podcast, why why men are dicks. So my favorite line was a line that was at the beginning in the end of the film because it gave such a different meaning from the beginning to the end, and it was just simply I won't let anyone come between us anymore. So, and we'll talk about it at the end. But I love that line. So let's move on to most enjoyable characters. Let's switch it up and go Shelly first.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna give it to Marie. Celia France. Cecilia Cecile De France. Cecilia DeFrance. Uh she was great. She uh headed out of the park. The actress who played Marie just went all in.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And she was great. So that was my favorite. What about you, Derek?
SPEAKER_01I was the same way. Last episode we watched Thirst, which everyone shit on. But so Holda was supposed to be this accidental hero, and I didn't appreciate her at all in the film. But with uh Marie, I thought she, you know, she was obviously very traumatized in the beginning, and she sh you know, she was she was dealing with like a fight or flight type situation, and most of the time she was flighting away and hiding away. But I enjoyed when she, you know, towards the end of the film when she turned around on the quote unquote killer, she was just badass. She had a freaking fence post with barbed wire and was just whacking him and taking him out. So I I loved her. So that was my most enjoyable character. Matt. Ditto, ditto. Oh my gosh, is this the first time we've all had the same one?
SPEAKER_00I think we've had. Yeah, yeah. We we all we all plainly obviously we would have.
SPEAKER_03I mean, Marie was was the best by far. Um her up and down acting ability was just really, really, really good. Yeah. You know, just the calm, like collective to this literally high tension, you know, activities going on around her, and I mean her facial expressions were all like keyed down, they were perfect. So I thought she was I thought she was my most enjoyable character for sure.
SPEAKER_00I'd had to give an honorable mention to Alexia. I had her kind of middle um just because her fear in that fan was real. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00And I won't go much more. She has some other great scenes after the the twist is revealed. Um, but she just she was gagged most of the time, but still Yeah, she was she was literally her hands were tied.
SPEAKER_01But she still was she was selling she was great, she was selling the kidnapping.
SPEAKER_00She never went out of it, and I I'm pretty sure they probably actually really had her gagged because that was not real looking or fake looking at all. So yeah, I just had to give her an honorable mention.
SPEAKER_01It did not look comfortable, not at all. So, you know, just to speak on Cecilia's how much she went into moving into like the badass role for a character. I I know she took, I think it was tie boxing lessons to get like physically in shape and stuff. So when she was carrying around the bat or the concrete saw, like she looked like she could handle handle it. So that was awesome. Uh let's move on to most annoying characters. Shelly, what do you got?
SPEAKER_00I put the grunty killer.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00The grunty killer. La killer. The grunty la killer.
SPEAKER_01He's la disgusting. Yes, la grosse.
SPEAKER_00I mean, if you want to say he did his job, then I would pick the gas station attendant who or the policemen who were worthless. There was a few like characters who were well, obviously the kid, but I hated him enough to put him as one of my cons.
SPEAKER_03Well, I was I was surprised that you didn't say the kid.
SPEAKER_00Well, because he was a con. He was that bad. Yeah. Okay. So he became a con, and my least favorite character became a con.
SPEAKER_01He jumped, he jumped out of the uh the lower level. Overall, he added nothing to the movie to me. And he got he he took his uh place atop the cons. Well, that's inner board.
SPEAKER_03That's funny because I I I'm gonna go ahead and I I'll just say mine. I I chose the cowboy kid. Oh, okay. That's hilarious. Go. That's it. I just didn't think he really offered anything. I wasn't really annoyed by any of the characters. I think, I mean, I I understand you, you know, you said about the police officers, but they all had had sort of their role without the police officers being being there because that was their only scene, you know, when we get towards the end of the end of it, that was the big the reveal. Yeah. So there's got to be some someone there to to see that or whatever. So so, anyways, the cowboy kid just had nothing. I was like, okay, it's just another person to kill. Yeah. In my eyes, it wasn't anything. He just needed to be killed to kill someone.
SPEAKER_01I know for to stick up for the police a little bit. I I did feel sympathetic to them when Marie called them on the phone from the gas station saying that her friend was kidnapped and that a guy had been murdered. When they were asking her for information, she was getting she was giving them nothing. She had nothing, and they were like, We're trying to help you, we just need to know where you are. And she was Like, you want me to blow the fucking place up and then hung up on him? I was like, they're trying to help. They just like give them something, Marie. Run out to the street if there's a sign.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Walk outside.
SPEAKER_03What gas station are you at?
SPEAKER_00I don't know.
SPEAKER_03If a doesn't look like a busy place. Sorry.
SPEAKER_00Grunty, slurvy la killers coming after you. Maybe you can't think straight.
SPEAKER_01Fair enough. Fair enough. But don't yell at the cops. They're just trying to get there. Alright, so let's go on to favorite kill slash scare. Derek, why don't you kick this one off? Okay, great. Your turn. I rather enjoyed the scene of Alexa's mom getting taken out. Okay, through the closet? Yeah, through the closet. I thought the way it was shot through the slats and her eyes was amazing. Just the look that Alexa's mom gave through uh the slats. It was like it was a great balance between like, you know, classic horror films where everything was sold through the fear in the eyes, and then just like the brutal violence of like modern time horror. So I love the balance of that scene. I I loved it. That was my favorite kill.
SPEAKER_00I think on that scene too, it was added that like you part of you didn't want the mom to open the closet and expose Marie in the closet because you're like, no, they can't get Marie, but at the same time, you're like at the expense of the mom.
SPEAKER_03I know. It's like they locked eyes, you know. Yeah. And then and she's realizing there's somebody else there that can, you know, maybe help me. Help me. And she's like, don't know, don't say nothing. No, no, no, no, no. I'm not here. No, no. Crazy.
SPEAKER_01Who wants to go next on uh scare? I'll go.
SPEAKER_03So Derek, I agree with you. I have two two favorite scares on there. Yeah. Maria in a closet and Alexa's mom getting her throat slashed, and where he's pulling back on her head and just like ripping her, you know, ripping her head off when it drip the sound and everything. And like you said, you hear you hear on the ground this like cutting noise, this slashing noise. So and that whole scene, you put it in perfect words. I'm not gonna say exactly what you said, but then just when they lock their eyes and stuff, to me, that's just like, oh shit, you know? But um, so I like that scene. The other scene that I really liked was the gas station attendant getting the axe to the chest. That that kind of that kind of jumped me. Oh like that surprised me a little bit. Great. So I was like, oh shit, like right to the chest, axe to the chest. So um those were my two favorite favorite uh scares.
SPEAKER_00Have you seen the movie The Shining?
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_00So the director actually said that that was an homage to the show. Oh, really?
SPEAKER_03No kidding. Oh, perfect.
SPEAKER_00Jack walks around with an axe.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. Oh, wow, that's so cool. It's a fun little how about you, Shelly?
SPEAKER_00Uh, I actually had a different one. Oh boy. Funny enough, I like the dad through the staircase. I know.
SPEAKER_01Everyone that talks about this movie goes to that scene first because it's nuts, but please. It is nuts.
SPEAKER_00My thing was is like, okay, so the dad gets it through the door and he's still alive and he's crawling, and the you think La Killer is like got other things going on, but suddenly he sticks the dad's head through the staircase. And then my first thought was okay, he's doing that because it just immobilizes the dad.
SPEAKER_03Like bleed out or something. Yeah, like he's done. Oh, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_00Suddenly he grabs like a dresser. I'm gonna say it's like a piece of furniture, I couldn't tell you exactly what it was, and he clean, rips the dad's head off via this piece of furniture, just yeah, wipes it off.
SPEAKER_03And you see it too.
SPEAKER_00My mouth dropped. I was like, oh no.
SPEAKER_01That was our first introduction, too.
SPEAKER_00Well, our first introduction to him was jacking off with a dead head.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that's right. That's right. That was our first introduction. The decapitated woman's head. And then going, and then just dropping it out the window. Like a like a napkin, like a golden towel of woman's head. Golden towel. Disgusting. Yeah. That that was a great scene. I love that too. All right.
SPEAKER_03Not the not the decapitated blowjob scene, right?
SPEAKER_02No, no, no. Dad staircase, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. That was my favorite scene. That was her introduction to the killer. No, yeah, I was messing. All right. I'm just playing a joke. Just playing jokes. All right, so next up, guys, fine cut. And this, I revealed a shocking ending of the film. This one truly has a shocking ending. And uh, we discuss her and give her ratings of one to five stabs. One stab, atrocious, no redeeming value, waste of time, two stabs, bad, forgettable, poorly done, three stabs, mixed feelings, mediocre, okay. Four stabs, good, interesting, enjoyable, and then five stabs, masterpiece, excellent, perfect. Look at those notes.
SPEAKER_00Fast forward, guys, because when we tell you this movie is the ending, like word, yeah. You need a fast forward if you still want to watch this movie because it's this is everything.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Um, never has a spoiler alert been so important.
SPEAKER_00Because this twist is no you don't see it coming. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You don't see it coming. All right. With the killer stopping at a gas station, Marie breaks out of the van and sneaks into the store seeking help. The killer soon comes into the shop, so Marie hides. Jimmy, the gas station attendant, and killer start having a conversation about loose women and their propositions to Jimmy. The killer soon asks Jimmy to unlock the liquor cabinet and get him a bottle of JB, so he clearly has the same taste as McGready from the thing. Upon retrieving the bottle, our killer chops Jimmy right in the chest with an axe, leaving him dead on the floor with a terrified Marie hiding behind an end cap. The killer eventually returns to the truck, and Marie calls the police for help. She hangs up in frustration though when she is unable to tell them where she is. Grabbing Jimmy's gun and the car keys, she begins a hop pursuit of the killer down the road. Back in the murder van, the killer taunts Alex by dousing her in alcohol and holding a lit matchstick over her. The van soon takes a right onto a deserted road, so Marie pops off the headlights and continues her secret chase. Somehow she loses him though, and he ends up behind her. Grabbing the gum in a passenger seat, Marie soon realizes it's empty, and the killer holds the bullets out the window of the van, dumping them. Next, he ramps Marie's vehicle, pushing the car off the road where it wrecks. Exiting on foot and badly injured, Marie runs into the forest as a killer hunts her down, and stumbling into a weird abandoned greenhouse, Marie and the killer finally meet up, and he attempts to suffocate her with some plastic sheeting. Gaining the upper hand, he starts taunting Marie by asking her what she wants with Alex and that he likes her too, and that he is turned on by her. All while his big, disgusting, cruddy fingers are in her mouth. Exactly.
SPEAKER_00No, I think I threw up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Marie, quickly feeling around the ground, finds a big rock and smashes him in the head. Our killer falls back, and Marie bludgeons him with a fence post covered in barbed wire that she made. As she inspects the body, he grabs her throat, so she finishes the job by suffocating him with a plastic sheet. Back at the gas station, the police arrive and investigate the gas station murders via the in-store videotape. The tape shows Marie murdering the store clerk with an axe, thus revealing that Marie is the real killer. Back at the van, Marie comes and victoriously unties Alex. As soon as Alex is free, she freaks out and threatens Marie with a knife, accusing her of butching her family. Marie doesn't understand and tries to explain that she isn't the killer, and in fact, the man is responsible. So Alex slashes Marie's face and stabs her in her stomach before running into the forest. Marie, now represented visually as the male killer, grabs a concrete saw from the van and chases her. Alex eventually finds a road and flags down the car, and the car skids off the road while she climbs in the back, begging the man to drive off. Obviously things don't work that easy, and her hopeful savior's car now won't start. So Marie appears and jumps on the hood with the saw, cutting through the windshield and disembowering the driver. Alex takes a crowbar from the toolbox in the back seat and escapes the car, crawls along the roadway badly injured with a piece of glass stuck in her Achilles' tendon. Marie, who is still visually shown as a killer, walks over to Alex and asks her, You don't love me, do you? Alex, taking advantage of Marie's fragile mental state, confesses her love to her and kisses Marie. Marie, now represented as a true self, while engaged in a kiss, is plunged in his shoulder with a crowbar. She continues to mutter she will never let anyone come between us anymore. We are now shown Marie in a psychiatric hospital room with Alex watching her through a one-way mirror. She asks, she can't see me right. And Marie grins and reaches for Alex, aware that she is behind it. There it is. What? The twist of the ending. The twist of the ending. So how did you guys feel with the ending of the film? I I did not like it. You do not like it. Okay. So explain.
SPEAKER_03I mean, so to me, there were a lot of like inconsistencies as far as you know, I she's the actual killer. Okay, one thing, the beginning of the scene. I mean, I guess it just like was the blowjob decapitated head thing necessary. So I wrote these down. Um the other thing is um, so yeah, just Maria and the killer being in different places at the same time doing different activities. Um the headless blowjob, like I said, uh the teller says, Can I help you, miss? So he's talking to her, he's engaging her, and then the killer comes in and the killer's talking to Jimmy. Yeah. So there's an interaction there and everything. Also, in the uh gas station scene, you know, Jimmy like looks at Maria and gives her a wink to let her, you know, because she's trying to get away from the killer. So he looks at her and gives her a wink, like, okay, uh, we we've got this under control. So just that kind of stuff. I mean, I know it it's it's not huge, but I just I don't know. I just didn't like the huge for a lot of people, though.
SPEAKER_01Like I said, a lot of people poo-poo on this movie for those.
SPEAKER_03Because okay, let's take let's take an example. Um, what was that? What was the uh I made a in I made a joke in reference to to the movie I see dead people, oh yeah the sixth sense or whatever.
SPEAKER_01I'm nice shameland.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so that that to me was more surprising, and I was like, oh, that's cool as shit. Only simply because there's only one person that can see this guy, and and like Maria's like interacting with like everybody, like like to me, that's where it fell sort of short for me. And then also the the killer is is interacting with not necessarily the family, because that makes sense. Yeah, that makes sense. They're in there, she's in there. So, okay, that makes sense to me, but but a lot of the other stuff didn't make sense to me.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, let me propose this to you.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, sure.
SPEAKER_00The killer is a person, he's there, he's killing, right? But at some point, oh it switches. I see what you're saying. And that's a gas station. The killer leaves interesting with Alexia in the van. Marie kills the gas station attendant, gets the car, and does kill the killer. Now, granted, at that point they do turn Marie back into La Killer, but maybe that's because she has transformed into the killer at that point. So if you look at it that way, that she did bash out La Killer's brains in that tent type area they were in, right? Wasn't it like a It was a greenhouse?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, wherever they were. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00She bashes the brains in there and goes back, but Alexia is clued in that she's maybe gone a little crazy. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03But you never know.
SPEAKER_00Now she does say you killed my whole family, so right.
SPEAKER_03But if you look back too, so I did say that I did see this, and to their credit, too. You look back and you see Alexia and Maria's interaction with each other. Alexia wants nothing to do with Maria from like that.
SPEAKER_00As soon as they get in the van.
SPEAKER_03No, even at the house.
SPEAKER_00Right, right, right.
SPEAKER_03In my opinion, like she's just kind of like, she's like, No, you need to do this, you need to just stay here. I we we know we don't want them to know that one person's in the house. So she knows right away. But then as they okay, I'm I'm flipping minds here now. That's fine. Because then when they also go back and they do all the all the stuff sort of in the past, they got they've got Maria killing the mom, they show that. Uh-huh. I I can't remember, I don't think they show the dad or anything like that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they they show the dad, they show the dad and they show the Maria killing the dad.
SPEAKER_03So to your point, that would have been great. So then take that to where where she kills the killer, and then you see this, you know, sort of like, you know, the soul goes into her like child's play or something. Yeah, maybe yeah. Something trippy like that. But but yeah, so I mean, no, that's a I mean, I like that. I that's a way another way to think about it. But I think that if they were if if they if they would have gone that route, which I'm I mean, I'm sure they didn't, but that would have been a great route to go. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But to your like to put your I guess your mind at ease. Originally the plan was Marie kills the killer. They flash then to her in handcuffs. Right? Am I remembering this correctly?
SPEAKER_01I believe so, yeah. That's what that's what I read, yeah.
SPEAKER_00So she kills the killer, they flash to her in handcuffs, which is the end scene that we have, right?
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_00At that point, the cop walks in and says, I need you to watch this. Shows Marie the footage of her at the gas station killing Jimmy.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And he goes, Do you want to change your story? And at that point, you get the flashbacks of her killing everybody. Okay. So maybe that would have been a little bit more I don't know, better? I feel those.
SPEAKER_01So, yeah, that was supposed to be the very ending of the film, was like it was just like the last two minutes, but they wanted to give it more at the end. So they they backed it into like the last 20 minutes or something in the film. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But uh that might have helped a little bit for me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. Because yeah, I just didn't for me. A big part of the puzzle piece for this film about the people who who bitch about the plot holes, uh, is that in the beginning, when we first see her in what's in the hospital garb and all that, right? At the very end of the shot, you see like from behind her and in front of her there's a video camera, and she says, Are you recording yet? So she's giving a statement to the police. So all of this, this whole story is all through her perspective. And she's obviously like schizophrenic. Yeah. And like, you know, she's got a two personality disorder going on. The only problem that I have with the plot hole is that how did she get fucked up? Like in her car accident, her version, she got she got put off the road, but then like she has all these cuts on her. Like so, when they did the flashbacks of her killing the family, I I wish we would have saw something about how she got people fighting back and stuff like that. Maybe uh maybe Alex in the in the van was fighting her, and and that's why she had the knife, anyways. So maybe she was in the fan, and that's how she got got those original slashes, which would have filled that information. So the only problem I had with it was like, how did she get fucked up? Yeah. Because we didn't see any of that.
SPEAKER_03So yeah.
SPEAKER_01So tons of people have issues with with those potholes, but for me, it was given in the beginning of the film when she was giving her statement to the police. Right. It's like it's this is her statement to the police, this is what we're watching. Right. And then there was some cool foreshadowing. Like, that was the first scene that we see in the second scene. She wakes up in the back of the car and she's like, Oh, I just had a dream that I was running from someone in the woods. And then uh Alex asked her, Who was it? And she was like, I was running for myself. Yeah, and I was like, That's that's a great little foreshadowing. I enjoyed that. Yeah, the second time around, I was like, Oh, yeah. And then so this is a movie. If you watch it one time, like you could probably get you know bent on a shape on the plot holes. But if you go back and you pay attention to that beginning, I think it fills it in for some people, yeah.
SPEAKER_03And uh Yeah, you're definitely right. The second time I watched it, I was a little bit more at ease. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_01Like, okay, yeah, not so much high tension. Yeah, but uh yeah, yeah. As far as like foreshadowing as well, uh, there was like a line. I'm surprised I didn't make this my favorite line, but there was a line where Marie and Alex first come to the house and they're talking to the dad, and he said, Oh, it's so nice to finally meet you after you being a piece of my furniture for so long. She was like, What are you? And he's like, Oh, there's a picture of you and Alex from when you guys went to Spain, and I just thought it was funny that he said she was a piece of the furniture and then she used a piece of furniture. Furniture to take his head off. So I was like, That's hilarious. Yeah. Um, yeah, but I didn't I didn't want to make it a favorite line because it was a big part of the ending. No, so that's uh that's our film, guys. Let's give it our stabs. All right, Shelly stab it.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna give it four.
SPEAKER_03Nice.
SPEAKER_01Four stabs.
SPEAKER_03I'm going, uh, I mean, this was a good movie, so I I I I guess maybe that twist plot kind of set me back a little bit. So I'm giving a three point five.
SPEAKER_01Nice. So for me, I love this film. Uh, like I said, the only issue with the plot hole I did have is I wish I would have known how she got fucked up. Yeah. So I gave it a 4.5 because I love the I love the I love the brutality and I love the twist ending, and I enjoyed it immensely. Yeah. So those are our stabs. Let's move on to voice from beyond. And this Shelly goes through our social media and shares your guys' thoughts in the film. So, Shelly, what you got?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, as always, you can find us on Facebook and Instagram, little bracket of horrors. Um, we've got some Facebook comments. I've got Paul M just kind of said we one of my faves.
SPEAKER_02Nice.
SPEAKER_00Uh Erica A said one of my absolute favorite films. It's very refreshing. The opening sequence was both horrifying and hilarious. The twist was beautifully done, and I did not see it coming. I'd love to go into more detail, but wouldn't want to spoil it. And then John L said this is generally one of the best horror movies. And then I saved the best for last. We got good old Lisa C, who's been dying for us to watch this. So she said, I first saw this movie back when Netflix would send out DVDs. I feel this needs two watches to appreciate because it's a French film, you will be reading a lot the first time through. I do get the loophole at the end that people complain about, but if you pay attention to the POV in the beginning, it makes sense. Now I do like this movie. The twists and turns keep me on my feet the entire time. I kept wanting to see what happened next. Who was going after the characters? Why? It kept me wanting more. Then the twist at the end was the cherry on top of the cake. Overall, I did think it was a well put together movie, but this is not my perfect five. We haven't gotten there yet. I give this a four out of five stabby stabs.
SPEAKER_03Nice.
SPEAKER_00And I do know what her perfect five movie is.
SPEAKER_03Oh boy. Thank you, Lisa. Thanks everyone.
SPEAKER_00Fact, I know her perfect five.
SPEAKER_01We got a late submission here.
SPEAKER_03Ooh, late submission.
SPEAKER_00And then we got Jeremy W said, I thought it was really good, liked it, very interesting. I didn't really like how they switched from French to English, but still it definitely kept my attention. Wasn't bored at all. The ending was weird, but all in all, good movie. Say four steps. Oh, nice.
SPEAKER_01Nice.
SPEAKER_03Thanks, Jeremy.
SPEAKER_01I think that's a that's a very, you know, it's a common thought with everyone that watches this film, is that this this film is very uh appropriately named high attention. Yeah. So that's great. All right. Interesting facts. Matt, you got anything to say?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I mean, you already talked about how the effects creator, the horror makeup artist, yeah, was in relation to uh um the late director Lucio Fauci, who uh directed many horror movies, including including our um New York Ripper. New York Ripper, yeah. Yeah. Um the uh camera used during the car attack scene got so much fake blood on it during shooting that when it was being used in another film later, the fake blood oozed out of it during the folk uh during the focusing of a shot. So the leftover blood was still pouring out of it. Yeah, that's funny. And uh this this uh film was shot in 36 days. Wow.
SPEAKER_00And also technically wasn't even shot in France, even though Romania, right? Yeah, it was Romania.
SPEAKER_01Yep. So yeah, that's all I got for that. Yeah. So I've I just wanted to ask real quick if anyone else caught it. It was it was weird, but when Marie stole uh Jimmy's car and sped out of the gas station. Yes, yes. Did anyone else catch the rebel flag on the on the license clip?
SPEAKER_03Yes, I did. I was like, this is in France, right? I was gonna put that in my little notes. I'm like, wait a second, where's the rebel flag in relations to France? Like, I'm not a nice dukes of hazard right there.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I didn't I didn't know that that war went outside of the United States. I didn't know France sided with anyone on that. I thought they did that too. I thought they were typically neutral, so that's interesting. But uh also, how the hell did Jimmy afford that car? That was a pretty gas station attendant.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you know, he's into he's into cars.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you know, I bet he I bet he did take some uh old rich ladies. I bet they did pay him for his services. Oh, yeah, he could say that. Yes, yes. Do you guys want me to go over the unedited version, what we missed? Yeah, let's skim over it, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Break it down.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so uh with the dad's death scene in the version that we watched, we just get a quick decapitation, but in the unedited version, we get an extra five seconds of a decapitated body just shooting out blood. And actually, for that scene, Alexandre Aha was the decapitated body. So they put the uh props on him, and it it was his like body and legs that were in that scene. So he made a little cameo, and then so in the mom's death, uh we must the killer pulled her head back more and she sprayed blood out of her throat. Uh but also when uh Marie comes out of the closet and is talking well, is is checking on the mom, she lifts her arm up to show a decapitated arm, and then in the next scene you see you know her hand sitting by the phone, but we missed that part. And then uh the next scene that we we lost a bit was the part where Marie bludgeons the killer, La Killer with her barbed wire fence post. She hit him in the head 14 times in the unedited version, and it was uh it was pretty brutal. And then in the final scene, the car scene with the saw, we missed a solid seven seconds of the guy being disembowed, and actually the scene where they got blood inside the camera. I love that scene too. We missed it in the version we watched, and the one in the unedited version, there's a shot from the back of the In the back and to the side where blood hits the camera lenses and covers everything in red. Oh, nice. So we missed that part. Those were the major points we missed. I think a total there was like two minutes edited out, but those were those were the gore you guys missed. So those are interesting facts. Very cool. Next up, guys, wheel. And this we are gonna replace High Tension on the Wheel. We'll name off the rest of the movies on the wheel. Uh, but before all that, we gotta have Shelly get that grab a sweet replacement movie out of the Frankenstein trick or treat bag to replace High Tension.
SPEAKER_00And I don't know if we should mention this to viewers, but we talked a little bit about this last time we recorded. We have more movies than we're gonna have on this season.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So if you hear any movie on the wheel that we don't get to this season and you want to see it on next season, blow up our socials. We want to know if there's a movie that we didn't pick that you still want to see next season because we would love some of the fans to help pick our movies for next season for our matchup.
SPEAKER_03So absolutely, yeah.
SPEAKER_00There's more movies in the bag that we're never gonna get to. Um, we may not expose those to you, but if definitely if we list one of these 10 movies off on the wheel and we don't get it to the season, and it's like a must-see for you, or you want to see it go up in the battle, let us know. Blow our socials up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00All right, picking a new one.
SPEAKER_01Getting a new one. So what are we replacing? Ha tanchin, hot tanchin.
SPEAKER_00This one.
SPEAKER_01This film.
SPEAKER_00This one right here is I don't like this movie.
SPEAKER_01Oh boy.
SPEAKER_00Night of the Demons 1988.
SPEAKER_01Is that a comedy horror horror?
SPEAKER_00It says comedy horror. I I don't really think it's comedy horror. I think maybe just because of how the demons like the index? Yeah, maybe that's laughable.
SPEAKER_01But um, so Shelly knows this one. Knight of the Demons. Knight of the Demons is replacing high tension on the wheel.
SPEAKER_03Matt, what do we got in the wheel? Alright, so what we have left on the wheel of death is the cabin in the woods, Itchy the Killer, the newly entered, Knight of the Demons, Knight of the Living Dead, City of the Dead, Wolf Cop, Good Night Mommy. Mommy. Yes. Uh Tucker and Dale. Nasperatu. And the Dead Pit. The Dead Pit. Yes, the Dead Pit.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna be really sad if we never pull Wolf Cop because Matt literally started watching it at one point.
SPEAKER_03I know it. Alright, so we're gonna let this wheel do its thigh. Wheel of death.
SPEAKER_01Wheel of death. Wheel of death. Wheel of death. Wheel. Someone looks happy.
SPEAKER_03Motherfucker.
SPEAKER_01What? Itchy the killer. Itchy the killer.
SPEAKER_00It's another foreign film. It is.
SPEAKER_01We've been hitting a lot of foreign films.
SPEAKER_00Third week in the room.
SPEAKER_01I know, that's crazy. So we've been to Iceland. We've been to quote unquote France slash Romania. And now we are going to Japan.
SPEAKER_00At least you don't have to say itchy anymore.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you can't. Oh, wait a second.
SPEAKER_00What? Get out of here.
SPEAKER_03Get out. I'm sorry. I looked at it wrong. I moved it myself. You dare. No, it's it is it is itchy the killer. Itchy the killer it is. So I'll give you my first reaction to this movie. I do not want to watch this movie.
SPEAKER_01I was, I could not tell from.
SPEAKER_03Mutilation stuff. I just it's maybe that's my horror movie.
SPEAKER_01It's a bit of a cat and mouse game. Ugh.
SPEAKER_03It's a bit of a gross game.
SPEAKER_01Alright, let's uh let's see where they can watch it.
SPEAKER_00Uh let me pull that up. Shudder is our no commercials. Uh it is on it. Looks like it might be on Prime. You'd have to check it in Shudder.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I'll do that. Oh yeah. It's available on Shudder.
SPEAKER_00It is on Shudder.
SPEAKER_03Ugh. It's not available anywhere. I guess we can't find this on the card. Oh darn it. Oh darn it.
SPEAKER_01Don't worry, I'll buy the DVD.
SPEAKER_00Yep, and it's available free with ads on uh Amazon Prime.
SPEAKER_03Okay, cool.
SPEAKER_00So it sounds like even if you don't have a Prime membership, you might be able to watch it free with ads through Amazon.
SPEAKER_03So maybe they edited this edited this one down to get a G rating.
SPEAKER_01So there's no uh it's just high and buy. Oh, uh it's also on Plex, which is sort of like Tubi.
SPEAKER_03So if if people are willing to deal with ads, just I have a hard time with Plex, and it might be my my TV, but it it I get kicked out all the time. I just I do everything on my phone anyways. I know, but I I love Tubi and stuff like that. They seem to work good.
unknownOh no.
SPEAKER_01Again, get out of it. I'm gonna suck. We're gonna get hit up from copyright infringement from Shutter. That's our noise.
SPEAKER_00Where does this one even read it?
SPEAKER_03Garbage.
SPEAKER_00Have you watched it before, Matt? Is that why you're so interested?
SPEAKER_01Have you seen it before, Shelly? No.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I've I've seen it. There's a lot of hooks involved. It's a lot of hooks like mutilation, like like needles and there's a lot of great practical effects. Hanging skin flesh and ugh.
SPEAKER_00I watch the audition. Oh, so I think I'll be okay.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Same a l a little bit more than audition, but same same wheel happen.
SPEAKER_00I mean, they put what are those in audition. They put the um what is that where they put the what's the the treatment when they put the needles in your back? What is that called?
SPEAKER_01Uh acupuncture.
SPEAKER_00They acupuncture someone's eyeballs in audition.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00There's also a lot of other gross needs. I don't want to see that. Awesome. Alright, we got Itchy the Killer.
SPEAKER_01Itchy the Killer's up next. Alright, guys. Next episode drops October 5th. SPEAKER_00I'm Shelley.
SPEAKER_01And I'm Matt. And we will catch you on the other side. But tune in if you want to hear about Halloween Horror Nights. Matt and I, this last weekend, we went to Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando, Florida. We experienced the houses. Shelly went the week before. Did you go for four nights?
SPEAKER_00I was there Thursday through Monday and we did four nights of Halloween Horror Nights. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_03That was straight. You got you got that is straight. You got the full effect of everything.
SPEAKER_00I will say though, like after a full weekend like that, I don't need to go again.
SPEAKER_03You're good?
SPEAKER_00I got all of my kicks and but you'll go you'll go next year, though. Right. Yeah, no, no, I'll go next year.
SPEAKER_01Do you have your fill as far as like like horror attractions? Like you don't need to go in any other stuff.
SPEAKER_00Oh no, I would I would probably do other horror things. Okay, okay. I mean, I wish we had more stuff in the area like we did before the vid and uh for me, horror nights is becoming it's just like stagnant. It's nothing. I mean, I get scares, but it's not like you know, when you go through a house and someone touches you. Yeah. I love those houses now.
SPEAKER_01They have those at uh Screamageddon, which is in local desk. It was fun the first year I went. I went last year. I think they still had some like vid protocols, and uh it was pulled back a little bit. And I had so in some of the houses you can have yourself marked, you put like a little uh techno stick edge straight edge X on your hand. No, you put a little techno glow sketch.
SPEAKER_00Don't talk about early years. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But um, yeah, so you can you can mark yourself for certain houses and they're supposed to grab you. But I went to Scream Again last year and I I wanted myself marked, but they would just like come here with the finger. Come here. They like wouldn't grab you. I was like, ah, this is this is not lose. Go sit in that chair. This has lost the uh the oomph that I was looking for when a guy just tells me lay on this cart.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I want to say it was like 2017 or 2018. I did a haunt up in Pennsylvania. Oh, okay. Cornfields. Y'all know all about that.
SPEAKER_01Y'all know about them cornfields and pillows. Y'all know about those.
SPEAKER_00And that was intense. And we have nothing like that here.
SPEAKER_01Those corn mazes are a blast up in PA, though. I I went to a bunch of them before moving down, and I always enjoyed enjoyed them. And then also the haunted hay rides are a blast. I love haunted hay rides. Never did those. Oh, they're good.
SPEAKER_00But we're talking about Halloween Horror Nights.
SPEAKER_01We're talking about Halloween Horror Nights this week. Yeah. Oh no.
SPEAKER_00Oh what's that?
SPEAKER_03Uh oh.
SPEAKER_00We'll leave it like that so we don't get uh I don't want to get shut down.
SPEAKER_03I think after Halloween Horror Nights, this is my new favorite song.
SPEAKER_01I was humming it a lot. So that was our that was our second house at Halloween Horror Nights was the weekend house. And I was humming that song because I was going into it, I was like, I don't know any weekend songs. Yeah. And then I heard that, I was like, oh shit, I know. I know that one. That's the only one I know too. But yeah.
SPEAKER_00So for anyone who doesn't know what Halloween Horror Nights is, it's an after hours basically special event at Universal Studios. It's separately ticketed. They have ten haunted houses. I want to say four or five scare zones. And it is a night of fun that they do basically from September to like the first or second week of November.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Uh if you haven't been in your local to the Florida area, highly suggest it. Highly suggest doing a tour or express. It's a lot of fun. It's really the only way to get through them all. I'm gonna read through maybe each of the houses that they have.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Maybe give at least the names on them. So we have the weekend after hours nightmare, and it's tagged, it's music to your fears. We have Halloween, His Beginning is Your End. The Horrors of Blumhouse, twice the screams, twice the terror, and explain that they basically had two separate movies in one haunted house. They did the movie Freaky and the movie The Black Phone. Black Phone was superior. We have Universal Monsters Legends Collide. It's the Wolfman versus Dracula versus the Mummy. Spirits of the Coven, they're Bewitch Only Terrifying. That was a 1920s witch house. Bugs Eaten Alive. These bugs are out to exterminate you. Fiesta de Chupacabras. Listen to your abuela and beware the chupacabras. Hellblock horror, as these monsters escape their prison, there's no escape for you. Which a little story on that. All the little creatures on that were creatures pulled from other haunted houses through the years.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Oh, okay. Interesting.
SPEAKER_00And then Dead Man's Pier, Winter Awake, Winters Wake, You're Dead in the Water. And that is also a scare zone one year that they've pulled into a haunted house.
SPEAKER_01Oh, cool. I didn't know that. Nice.
SPEAKER_00Descendants of Destruction, Deeper, Darker Deller, which was basically a Mad Max in the subways kind of thing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yep.
SPEAKER_00So those were our ten haunted houses. Uh, I think it was four intellectual properties and six original concepts, if I'm counting that correctly.
SPEAKER_03So I think so. It's my first time ever going. I've never gone. I think, I mean, I've I've done horror, horror or rather haunted houses. I think I've done a couple when I was younger. I've never I've never been scared by haunted houses, and I think it's probably something internal that I just tell myself, listen, these are kids screaming at you, like and loud noises. Yeah. So I had a blast. I brought my son with me. Uh Derek was with us, and uh we went with a group of friends, which always makes it a lot more enjoyable. I don't think I would ever do something like this by myself. Um I think if you don't mind, I think we could run through our list of which ones we thought were well from top to bottom or whatever. So I made a look I made a quick list. Okay. So I I was surprised. I said the weekend after hours nightmare was the top, was like the best. Um that was your favorite, then that's your number one? That was my number one. That was my favorite one.
SPEAKER_00That house is getting shit on a lot. It is because when when they first announced it, they were like, the weekend isn't horror.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But if you watch, he came out with the I don't know the name of the album, but um But wait it, okay. It basically was like a story that he played on it's the is it the Blinding Lights album? Oh, it's After Hours is that album.
SPEAKER_02After hours, yeah.
SPEAKER_00It has all the songs from this After Hours Nightmare is the name of the house. And um, if you watch the videos that go along with the songs, they're got horror aspects to it, and I think they did a really good job in the house.
SPEAKER_03So I don't think that I mean whoever's saying that, I mean, I I it's hard to go through this because uh there's so many things I want to talk about. But but you said you said how black phone was was superior over freaky, but black phone to me didn't seem like that. I mean, I didn't watch the movie, so I I guess I shouldn't really talk about it. But if you're gonna compare Black Foam versus The Weeknd, Black Phone wasn't really horrors.
SPEAKER_00I was just saying black foam was better than Freaky in the house. Just that just that house.
SPEAKER_03Oh, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_00Not over all of other houses. I was just saying if you had to pick between the two.
SPEAKER_03Oh, see, I see I disagree with you. Black phone or freaky. Yeah, see, I disagree with you there too. Yeah, but anyways, I'm sorry. I'm I'm derailing. We only got so much time. So, anyways, I put the weekend as number one, Halloween was number two, I did the Universal Monster Legend Collide, I did that as three, four was Dead Man's Pier, Bloom House would would be uh what, number five? Yeah. Then I did Hellblock Horror as number six, the Descendants of Destruction was seven, uh Bugs Eating Alive was number eight, Spirit of the Coven was number nine, and Fiesta del Chupacabra was was I mean it wasn't bad, it just did nothing. Same with the um Bugs Eaten Alive was really cool, but I just like the the only thing that was trippy was just like the the wires hanging from the ceiling and they're like sticky on you and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_01That's got me so good. Yeah. Oh, I fucking hated those things.
SPEAKER_03My my overall experience though with the whole thing, I thought it was really cool. We got there when it when it was raining, so they didn't have a lot of the uh the uh street uh scare. Oh the scare actors, yeah.
SPEAKER_01The scare actors weren't really open because it was raining, yeah. So we didn't experience that for like the first three hours.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah. So so I but I overall I thought it was fun. We shared or we didn't share, I got a um oh I got a uh cheese or a burger that I did not look at the uh what was going to be on.
SPEAKER_00I know exactly what you ordered because you love this movie. You ordered it because it was a child's play theme burger. I know exactly what you ordered. Yeah. Without you even saying it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00That burger looked disgusting.
SPEAKER_01It did. It was not that bad. I did taste it. I did taste it. Uh I was not necessarily a fan of it. Like salty and sweet go together.
SPEAKER_03So it's basically so I'll describe the burger. It's a burger on a donut bun. The top it had inside of it, it was like a like a bacon glazed chunk or something, which was really good. Jalapeno, and then it had on top of the bun was a was like the sugary glaze on top of it as blood, sprinkled with some like cocoa puffs or something. Or not cocoa puffs, but uh fruity pebbles. So, but I thought it was pretty good. Yeah, it was alright. It did not look good. I had no idea it was gonna be that.
SPEAKER_01You tried to eat it with your hand to start out.
SPEAKER_03I did, and I got this shit all in my freaking nails and everything.
SPEAKER_01I was like, what are you doing?
SPEAKER_03Our friend Jamie had to go get me a fork and knife.
SPEAKER_01It's basically basically a piece of cake with fucking uh cheeseburger put in the middle of it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but you guys are the you guys are the experts on on Halloween Horror Knights simply because you've you've gone there a lot more than me. Shelly is definitely. I just wanted to tell you those were my my lists. I thought the weekend was awesome. The ending of it, where where there's a bunch of them there, and that's why I think that's why I liked uh I think I liked Halloween as much too, because a lot of the scenes were involved in there. I thought were super cool. Yeah. Plus we got our friend's son freaked out a few times in there too. They had him where he was ghost behind and and I'm like trying to motion him to trying to motion Tyler to come this way, and it got, and then I was like, oh, and he was like right on Tyler's back, so that freaked him out a bit. That's fun. Anyway, that's a fun part of those houses. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I mean, the only thing about the Halloween house is they did it a couple years ago, and it was the same house. So that was like kind of like repetitive to me. I did rank it higher than some other ones, but um, my list is Dead Man, uh, number one, Dead Man's Pier, Winter's Wake. Number two, the weekend after hours nightmare, number three, Universal Monsters Legends Collide, number four, Halloween, number five, the horrors of Blum House, six, Hellblock Horror, seven, Descundance of Destruction, eight, Fiesta de Chupacabras, nine, spirits of the coven, and ten, bugs eaten alive. Oh. I had to give it the dead man's peer because every year there's just this one house that is just stunningly beautiful. The story for that house, and then added benefit. I do an RIP tour yearly, it seems like now that I'm doing it. And they give you backstories on each of the houses. So you learn a little bit more than what is like on the websites or what people put out there. So uh the violinist, I don't know if you guys caught that on top of the boat. Love that she was playing her violin to summon her dead fiance or husband, and instead she summoned more, and that's why you have all the sea creatures that are appearing. I mean, they literally put half a boat in a sound stage, and you gotta give them props for that. And the cold aired, it smelled like the sea. So, like when you look at the big picture, dead man's peer had everything. I rank bugs eating alive very low because that's a real anxiety thing for me, and that's kind of too real for me. So I did go through it again. Maybe this would change a little bit. Um, Spirits of the Coven just had no scare actors in it for us. We went through it three or four times in one night, and it never changed, it was always lacking scares.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, but yeah, weekend and universal monsters were probably they had really good scares in it. I mean, the weekend had one scare where the lady looked like wallpaper.
SPEAKER_02Yes, we loved that.
SPEAKER_00That was so cool. So super cool. As far as food and drink, stick to beer or singer liquor drinks. All the mixed drinks are really sweet, but blinking cups are always fun. Yay! Um the maggot covered uh cheese dog was delicious. Oh, we saw that.
SPEAKER_01I was yeah, I'm not a corn dog person, anyways, but I was like, oh, maggot, it looked pretty crazy.
SPEAKER_00It was more of like a Korean deep-fried dog. So it was like it was kind of separated where it was like cheese, hot dog, cheese, hot dog. Um I would have rather just had like everything in one bite, but it was still pretty good. Um, least favorite, stay away from the rat tails. It's funnel cake fries with crab dip on top.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I don't even know if I saw that. Yeah, it was disgusting.
SPEAKER_00And all the like um pre-made treats, like the meats, meets, rice crispy treat things they have were stale. So that would be my only downsides were a couple of the foods, but great. Uh definitely suggest expressor a tour if you're looking to do it. And they also do unmasking tours, which means they take you through the houses when the lights are on and they tell you really in dead depth stories. You kind of get some behind the scenes at what the scare actors do. They're, I want to say in the hundreds for those tours, they do a three house and a six house. And even if you're scared of horror nights, I suggest doing the tour because you get a little bit of a all right, Derek. What's your listing for the houses?
SPEAKER_01So my favorite house was bugs eaten alive. Yeah, a lot of people love it for the exact reason that you hated it, but it I have never been in a house that has caused so much uh dread in me in every room that I walked in. Uh, like Matt said, those little strings hanging from the from the uh ceilings, just I felt like bugs were on me, and then I had to I I had to calm down. I my attention was high. My tension was very high for Eden. That was my number one favorite. Number two, Halloween House. And I know it's an easy get, but when you're in love with the movie, and it was scary to me, but it was pretty. I love Dead Man too. Um, but I love that uh they had like the different Michaels represented. They had you know, little kid Michael, they had uh Michael in the sheet with PJ Schools, yeah, and then they had uh you know the normal William Shatner mask guy. So I I love that he was represented a bunch. The next was I think it popped so much to me because I was so pleasantly surprised, but the weekend house, yeah, I was just like, this was amazing. And I think it was the last room they had like mirrors with a bunch of them, and they did that the same in the Halloween house, and I love when they do that because there's a bunch of mannequins standing in a in a like glass room, but there's also a couple scare actors, and they get you so good because you're not sure who to trust. You're just like you're on your toes going through those rooms, so I love that.
SPEAKER_03And I thought in the weekend, the I I don't know if you would call them the nurses or whatever, the the actors there. I thought they were phenomenal. I thought their uh their costumes were really cool and stuff like that. Like the plastic surgeons, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, one of the videos he wants to fake his face, and actually in the last video, he's got this like really dramatically altered plastic surgery look to him.
SPEAKER_03And they did that at the they did that at the end of the the house. He was on stage, and if you saw his face, it's all yeah, it's all mangled. Sorry, Derek, go ahead.
SPEAKER_01No, but uh so my fourth favorite was uh Dead Man's Pier, and to that scene you were talking about, it was such a big scene, but you s you felt immersed in this world, and like these these haunted attractions are in warehouses, so they have a lot of space, but I've never walked. Through like a haunted room where it was that grand, but I felt like immersed in it. I didn't see like passing it. It was cold. It was rainy. It was perfectly built. It was perfectly executed in it. It was just beautiful. I love that. Fifth was uh Universal Monsters. You know, it was it's the classic guys. And I I think the story to it was that they were uh I think Dracula and uh the wolf man were trying to get something of the mummies is what I could gather.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so like there was an amulet and the guy in the very beginning uh summoned wanted to like raise the mummy, but then like Dracula and Wolfman were attracted to the power of the amulet or something like that. So now they're all fighting for the same thing. That house was fun. It smelled like incense when you walked in. It was really cool.
SPEAKER_03I was just gonna say, I have to I have to say I was kind of disappointed, only because just through through I know we talked about you know everybody's uh experience is different and then where the scares come out and stuff. I only saw mummies. I didn't see the man, I didn't see Dracula except for a a Dracula poster, you know, or not a poster, but a mannequin stuck up on the wall. So I was kind of I was kind of hoping for more, but that's only only because I didn't get those I didn't get those people jumping out at me and scaring me. So it's not saying that it wasn't great. I just didn't I didn't get to experience it.
SPEAKER_01And I I think part of it might have been and and it all took place in like the mummies world because it was Dracula and the Wolf Man were in his world. So I th I think that was that might have been let it be.
SPEAKER_03If they would have broke it up a little bit, like the Bloom House one where they where they had to like a drastic change and then um the black phone, I mean that would have been that would have been kind of cool.
SPEAKER_01So number six, I had Hell Black Horror, and this one it probably wasn't that great of a house, but it was the last house we did that night, and there was no one in line for it. So we got to go in and experience each room on its own because in in the houses it's pretty much an assembly line, so you pretty much know what's gonna happen in the next room because you hear people scream and the guy come out. So we walked into each room fresh. So we got all the scares, and I think that's probably why it's so high on my list. It might be lower if I didn't get to experience it as like a single group. Yeah. So I I love that one.
SPEAKER_00That one had a story too where you had to plug the power back in. Yeah, that's all.
SPEAKER_01Damn it.
SPEAKER_00You said to plug that's why they were all loose.
SPEAKER_03The power was on the I did like the um like the prison guards and stuff in there yelling at you, and so I thought that was cool.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01My number seven was Descendants of Destruction. And I think that is that the house that you said they used like characters from previous houses. No, Hellblock Horror. Okay, all right.
SPEAKER_00So like there was an alien in there in Hellblock Horror on the left and like one of the elevators or something. Oh, okay. She was in uh there was a scare zone called invasion, and she was in that scare zone. Oh, I see. Yeah, so they had some uh all those characters kind of were pulled from other things.
SPEAKER_01I got you. Alright, so for Descendants of Destruction, I just thought it was a good mix of scares and the the monsters that they created, I thought was uh super, super cool.
SPEAKER_03I have to give it up for the for the ones that were just off the you know, they weren't it wasn't a movie. Yeah. And it was easy to put, you know, Halloween this scene, freaky this scene.
SPEAKER_01These ones are like on their own. My next one is actually uh the horrors of Blum House. And of the two, so there was the freaky, and then there was the black phone. As far as movies go, I love Black Phone. Freaky's okay, not crazy about it, but at the houses, I enjoyed freaky more than I enjoyed Blackphone. Yeah. Because Freaky had more like crazy scenes in the movie and the shop teacher getting sawed in half, and we saw that, so that was super cool. But with the black phone, I mean, all we really had was uh the the balloons, the phone, the basement, and the grabber. I don't know. It just it wasn't enough for me as far it didn't make sense for a scary house because there wasn't a lot of options.
SPEAKER_03That's why that so Shelly, did you prefer the black phone over freaky then?
SPEAKER_01The house is the house, you said you like the house more uh for black phone.
SPEAKER_00I also enjoy black phone as a movie and freaky. And um, I just thought there was more scares in the black phone. They had those dropping windows that make a horrific noise, like the really loud noises that they go who bam like that, and like shake the whole ground.
SPEAKER_01I don't know if it's a lot of things.
SPEAKER_00So I had more scares in the black phone than I had freaky, and yeah. We went in freaky twice in a row and smelled like someone pooted in there.
SPEAKER_03Oh did you guys go after us or before? No, they went last night.
SPEAKER_00Oh I did go another night and the poot smell was gone, but like I don't know. I just think like Freaky had missed opportunities. Like there was the mascot sitting there and like you thought like it was gonna get up and it didn't. That's that's a great point. Because I did see him and and I didn't think there was that whole wall of masks, like why weren't the masks doing something? Yeah, that's funny. They they touched on the chanting, and instead of like seeing like the like you could have easily had one scare actor kind of show the morphine with scare actors, because I don't know if you know the concept of it's like a freaky Friday thing, but yeah, absolutely of serial killer changes bodies with a high schooler. And instead they just showed you like there was like projections to like emulate the oh the transformation, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. So I just there was lacking I just felt like with I I appreciate that. I felt like Blackphone. I mean, I and unfortunately I did not watch the movie, but I know the gist of the movie.
SPEAKER_00Well, you saw the whole movie in the hallhouse. That's essentially the whole movie.
SPEAKER_03Right. So I I don't know if that like the the kids weren't really represented in it. The the dead kids, they weren't they weren't really they were in the house. Were they at the then I must have missed them? Yeah, they were seeing them at all.
SPEAKER_00There's a whole hallway where it's really dark, yeah. But it's kind of like skimmed, like you can see through a little bit. Yeah, yeah. And they were all throughout there.
SPEAKER_03But were they were they were they actors or were they dummies?
SPEAKER_00No, they were jumping out at you. Yeah, okay. So then I missed it. There's one like rocker kid with blonde curly hair that got me every time. Oh that's funny.
SPEAKER_03I missed it. So you have to.
SPEAKER_00And the grabber is scary to me.
SPEAKER_01The grabber is a fantastic character.
SPEAKER_00That mask was well done. They all look great.
SPEAKER_01So I did enjoy that. My number nine was Spirits of the Coven. I couldn't remember anything of this house except for at the beginning them asking for a password because I guess it was a speaker to me, right?
SPEAKER_00And I kept saying honeydew and nobody opened the door. I guess that wasn't the password.
SPEAKER_01It clearly wasn't. We just have to keep trying. Maybe it was Rumpel Stiltskin. Rumpel Stiltskin. Perhaps it was that. Beetlejuice. And then my least favorite house was Fiesta de Chupacabras. Yes, I agree. It was just flat for me. They had like an animatronic chupacabra jumping out, and then that guy in like a dog mask, and it was just, I don't know, it was flat. I didn't I didn't feel it.
SPEAKER_00So that has a story too.
SPEAKER_01Okay, great.
SPEAKER_00They worship the chupacabra, which was the symbol you saw throughout. And in lieu of them sacrificing themselves to the chupacabra, they lure the tourist in with their fireworks and like their beautiful colors to feed us to the chupacabra. Also, if you do the behind the scenes tour, you get to see the chupacabra like up front and like personal. And the puppet is badass, man. Like, that is one of the coolest puppets. So, like, you kind of gain a respect. Oh, yeah. It's lost in the dark. Yeah, so the puppets are insane. They're, you know, a la American Werewolf in London when they had that house. But like, yeah, I kind of put it up higher than Spirits of the Coven just because it has Spirits of the Covenant had so much potential. 1920s Flappers Witches. Great concept. There was two flappers in the whole, like maybe three. Maybe I'll say three. The rest were just ugly looking witches.
SPEAKER_03All I all I just remember of that is just the swollen mask face. I was like, I don't okay.
SPEAKER_00And it's supposed to be like you're going through a speakeasy, like a 1920s speakeasy. The story with that is that they're collecting your blood to make their ultimate potion, which is then the booze that they serve there.
SPEAKER_03Sweet.
SPEAKER_00So, like, that's what you're going through like the speakeasy and where they're brewing the potion and everything. Yeah. I just thought it was just so many miss opportunities. There were so many places where there was like they call them boo holes, is where the scare actors hide.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I love that.
SPEAKER_00And there was just empty boo holes, and you could tell because there's there's like petals on the ground where they step, that's their sound. Yep. Secrets, trade secrets. Oh, I think I did see that. So like you could look into the boo hole and see that there's no one there, and it's it is you'd like it'd be different. It was just like a hallway. Yeah. But it was clearly somewhere where someone was supposed to be, and there's just nobody there. So, like that, like the last two minutes of that house where you walk in where the barrels are and they start brewing and whatnot, not a single scare actor would jump out into you into that last room where there's like guys standing against the wall and they're like potion and they're saying a chant or whatever. I don't know if you remember that towards the end. No. And there's one guy that's like they have like mannequin, mannequin, and then one real guy, but like the mannequins are up on a ledge, and the real guy's standing on the ground. I'm like, he's clearly the real guy.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Like, why isn't he up on the ledge to scare you? So, anyways, I just think Coven like had so much potential.
SPEAKER_01And such a good concept, but yeah, I I missed a little bit. Yeah. So uh let's give it. Do you guys want to give him the overall? Want to give like stabs to Halloween Horror Nights?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean it's always a five out of five stab for me. I love the event. Yeah, great scare zones this year. I know we didn't touch on that.
SPEAKER_03We don't have a lot of time to fit this all in, but I can't give it a five five out of five simply because we didn't get the street performance. We didn't we weren't doing that.
SPEAKER_00I heard they came out later that night.
SPEAKER_03They did, but they were the same, they were like the same four people or something. I don't know, was there another area? I don't know. There was a couple area, so we didn't go through those then, right?
SPEAKER_01So they had the area by the mummy ride. Yeah. That's where we first saw them. The candy one. And then on the way out on the main street underneath that little canopy, little booth. Yeah, the canopy thing with the pumpkins. Uh, they were out there as well.
SPEAKER_00So there were three other scare zones. Yeah. Two or three other scare zones. So we missed those. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Well, that's that's that's why I give it a four. Yeah. Well, it's a few. Mother nature's fault. Mother Nature's fault, I think. We got there.
SPEAKER_00I mean, it just Why didn't you go four nights in a row?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Maybe next year I will.
SPEAKER_01I give a five as well. It's it's always fun. You know, for Halloween horror nights, like we said, you know, you go through assembly lines, so you really don't get the scares too much. But I actually I got got a bunch of times this year. You got got now? I got got just like the production of the houses is is what I really go for, and it's always it's always a good time. So they did a good job.
SPEAKER_00I always say, because we also have other events in the area, we have like Hollow Scream at Tampa, and I haven't done the SeaWorld Hollow Scream yet. But I always say Horror Nights has better production value, maybe not as scary at times, but their sets are impeccable. If you want more scares, actually, Hollow Scream is more scary to me, but they also stagger your groups. Yeah, they do. I don't know if they still do. I mean, it's been a couple years. We haven't been since 2020, where it was just like walk-through outdoor mini things. But back in the day, they'd stagger your groups. And to me, a staggered group, like a smaller group going through a haunted house is a lot more scarier than a conga line. So, and that's what I'm I'm going to get scared.
SPEAKER_03So I am definitely looking forward to Halloween this year. I'll tell you that, with just watching the horror movies for the last and now we got you going to haunted houses. Now I'm like I'm like fully into this shit.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, let's do it.
SPEAKER_01After Ichi, we have two more films. Oh, fuck Ichi, though. I don't want to watch that crap. Two more films. Two more films after Ichi. Two more. So that's it. All right, guys. Thanks for tuning in to this little bonus content we've just created for you for our Halloween horror nights trip. And uh that's it. So plus we got some kick-ass shirts.
SPEAKER_04Yes, we did.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So check out our social media. You're see our sweet drip is what the kids call it now. You were saying cap the other day. I said it wrong. I'm a dad. I don't know what the fuck is. You have ice in your veins? Oh, is that what that is? Shee. That's ice in my veins. I don't even know. But yeah, so because we're so cool. She always too hip. Check out our social media as you can see our sweet grabs, but uh on account of three, let's all say bye at the same time. One, two, three. Bye.
