In this episode, Dr. Afsha Rais, a Family Medicine MD, an SJSM Alumna, and a Family Medicine Residency Associate Program Director at Medical City Healthcare, talks about her journey from a medical student to where she is now. Dr. Rais gave a very useful insight into the importance of the personal statement to a medical student's residency application as well as what qualities she and her colleagues look for when selecting a candidate for their residency program.
