bad."},{"startTime":182.985,"endTime":186.885,"body":"So I've been particularly fond of this song, praise The Lord, and Pass The Ammunition,"},{"startTime":186.885,"endTime":187.145,"body":"which was written by Frank Lesser a few years before he went on to write"},{"startTime":187.145,"endTime":187.405,"body":"Guys and Dolls, which is a masterpiece, um, on, in the West End at the"},{"startTime":187.405,"endTime":197.285,"body":"moment in, I dunno how many revivals it's had now."},{"startTime":197.745,"endTime":202.192,"body":"And this rather cute song is about, um, a kind of a group of soldiers"},{"startTime":202.192,"endTime":202.489,"body":"who are being attacked and there is a, a clergyman amongst them and they oh, how I hate to Get Up in the Morning."},{"startTime":286.705,"endTime":293.565,"body":"So again, this is not particularly drawing attention to what's, um, unhappy about characterized the feeling of being at home in America in this period, we have"},{"startTime":300.258,"endTime":300.612,"body":"to look to Christmas songs, in my opinion, to find proper expressions of what it"},{"startTime":300.612,"endTime":311.605,"body":"all felt like."},{"startTime":311.705,"endTime":315.657,"body":"And so I've drawn out these three, um, the first two of which sort take credit for researching it, but I was really struck"},{"startTime":466.994,"endTime":467.345,"body":"by this quote from the Chicago Times from December, 1942, where a major writer, Karl"},{"startTime":467.345,"endTime":467.697,"body":"Sandberg, who's um, who won the Pulitz surprise for writing a major biography of
