Walk the Walk

Satan Aimed, God Amplified. When Evil Strikes.

Tina Perry
Speaker 1:

Hello and welcome to Walk the Walk. Well, we have been through quite a couple of weeks of witnessing pure evil at work. I have seen several messages on social media. I have received several messages of people asking why do I feel the way I feel about the death of a man I've never met, probably would never meet him in my lifetime. I have no idea who he really is, as far as his personality or whatever, but I do know one thing about this man that I'm grieving is that he is a man of God and that he is not afraid and he was not afraid, to speak the word of Jesus boldly before hundreds of people, maybe even thousands of people, to tell them about the love of Jesus Christ. Today's message may be a little bit heavy, but I would say, necessary.

Speaker 1:

Charlie Kirk was assassinated for his beliefs and it wasn't because he was weak, but more of he was strong enough to speak the truth. And boy, I'm envious of that the ability that he had to stand before people that hated him, that only came to debate him, to embarrass him or try to make him look like a liar, to insult him, to call him names and not even phase Charlie Kirk. He came back with truth Every time he came back with truth. Who else do we know that did that same thing, just like Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross for declaring the way, the truth and the life? And we see that same spirit of evil at work today, that same evil spirit that 2,000 years ago tried to destroy Jesus Christ did the same thing today to a man that I have never met but I knew he loved Jesus Christ, that young man who pulled the trigger. He carried out an evil act. I don't believe now. I don't know this for a fact, but I don't believe he was born with murder in his heart. I really don't. He looked very this is a judgment statement, I'll go ahead and say it he looked very innocent. He didn't look evil by any means. He looked innocent. He looked like a nice kid.

Speaker 1:

To be honest with you, had goals of going to college, read his college acceptance letter and it was kind of disheartening to see that somebody like him, who was indoctrinated somewhere along the way. It could be in his college classroom, it could be in his high school classroom for all we know, maybe through his social media, maybe in the chambers of the culture that he lived in, but wherever he got it, he was deceived. His mind was kidnapped by the devil. We need to be clear. Satan is a thief. He's a liar and a murderer from the beginning. He preys on minds of our youth, twisting their belief system and turning people against the truth. This man became a tool of the enemy, carrying out the devil's plan to silence a voice of faith. But he did not win. Just as the crucifixion of Jesus Christ opened the gates of victory, this assassination did not silence the truth. Quite the opposite, it has amplified it.

Speaker 1:

What the devil meant for evil, god is already turning to good, and you may even see that in yourself, because you may be saying I'm grieving. I feel actual pain, either in my heart, in my stomach, or something that I find myself crying over, this man that I'm never. I don't even know him personally and people have questioned me why and I, to be honest with you, when they started questioning me, I'd already thought about it and I thought what is wrong with me? Why am I feeling these feelings for this person that I don't know? These are the kinds of things you feel after a person that you love or after a great, great friend passes away, but I'm feeling it for somebody I've never met. Let me tell you why. But I'm feeling it for somebody I've never met. Let me tell you why.

Speaker 1:

Because when you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you then received the Holy Spirit who resides in you, just like Charlie Kirk also had that Holy Spirit. And when this man, young man, thought he was going to destroy Charlie and his work, like I said, he only amplified it. But when he shot that gun and killed him, the Holy Spirit within Charlie was grieving. And this because we are his brothers and sisters in Christ and we have that same spirit, that same spirit that Jesus has. We felt that connection, that spiritual connection, what I am going to be honest, I have never felt that before. Oh, I've grieved over deaths, I've cried over people dying, but there is something different this time, and people are asking every day what is this which really shows that you are a believer in Christ and that you have that Holy Spirit within you?

Speaker 1:

Charlie Kirk had strength, he was bold, he had a desire for truth, and that desire that he has is now living within us. At least it's within me and I hope it's within you. His voice wasn't shut down. It multiplied, multiplied all over the United States, even in other countries. It echoes through every believer who dares to stand up and say I will not be silent, I will not be intimidated and I will not bow to evil, because that's what they want. Satan and all of his followers and you've seen some of them on Facebook rejoicing and clapping and singing and dancing at the mere fact that a man they despised, that, a man that, when he spoke truth hurt their ears. They could not listen to it. They had to destroy it so that they didn't have to hear it. But here's the thing If they thought that what they did was going to be music to their ears, I have news for them it's only going to get worse for them.

Speaker 1:

We don't stand alone. The moment you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you received the gift of the Holy Spirit and he is dwelling within you, giving you strength, giving you discernment, courage and peace. Jesus promised this in John 14, 16 through 7. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate, which is the Holy Spirit, to help you and be with you forever, the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him because it neither sees him nor knows him, but you know him, for he lives within you and will be in you, lives within you and will be in you. That means that same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now lives within you and that spirit should be giving you, is giving you boldness to carry on Charlie's mantle, to carry on To fight deception and to live as lights in a dark world. He's left us his strength. He's left us his ability. Once he was shot, maybe he died right away, I don't know, but I can tell you this Once that happened, all of us felt that spirit fire within us.

Speaker 1:

Evil tried to silence that man, but in doing so it awakened a spiritual army. We will not let indoctrination win. We will not let Satan's schemes intimidate us, and he will try. I promise you. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 6, 10 through 11,. Finally, be strong in the Lord and his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes and folks. You have seen all of the devil's schemes and folks. You have seen all of the devil's schemes in school shootings and a young lady who died on a subway for no reason but pure evil. And then with Charlie Kirk, and it's happened many times before. This is your call, folks, for this is your call, folks. This is your call to stand, to speak, to live boldly. We have to put on that belt of truth, the shield of faith, the sword of the Spirit, and move on, not in fear but in victory. Charlie's voice is not gone. It is alive in us and, with God's Spirit living within us, we will not only speak, but we will overcome.

Speaker 1:

Listen, this may sound scary to you, because this man risked everything. He lost his family, his family lost a father, a son, a husband, and we lost a bold speaker for Christ, but we didn't lose him in the way that Satan wanted us to. Sure, he's not on this earth with us any longer, because he went into his heavenly home and he was welcomed by God. Well done, my good and faithful servant. I can't imagine all the people that were standing there rejoicing they gained by Charlie going into heaven. We lost a wonderful man, but what he said is do not let this stop right here. Carry on, carry on. Let's pray, heavenly Father.

Speaker 1:

We have all wondered what is this? Why am I feeling this pain over a man that I've never met? But what he was doing was giving us charge. He died so that we could take charge, because probably if Charlie were still alive, we would all be sitting back going. He's got it Now. Charlie has said you all have it. All of you need to take charge. Stand against the devil, stand against the arrows that he's going to the devil. Stand against the arrows that he's going to try to throw at us.

Speaker 1:

Father, I lift up that young man who was so taken over. It saddens me for him and his family. It saddens me that he allowed the devil in the door. Help us not to let the devil in the door. Help us not to let the devil in the door. Keep our doors shut tight. Keep us in fervent prayer, father God, help us cover each and every one of us in the blood of the Lamb Our families, our children, our homes, our cars, our friends, our churches, especially our churches, father. They're not standing for what they should be. We have grown weak and watered down. Help us. Help us, father. We thank you for sending Charlie to us and we know that you are embracing him right now.

Speaker 1:

I think about him all the time and I think what is he doing in heaven? I never think about that for other people, but I sure have. Now, what is he doing in heaven? Because I am sure he is there. And you know what, father? I pray that others, when I come to you and you welcome me in, that people will say I wonder what Tina's doing in heaven. I hope they're so sure that I'm there, as I am so sure that Charlie is with you. Help us, father. Don't let this die down. Don't let us let this get watered down. Help us be bold and strong, because what the devil meant for evil, we know you have meant for good. In your name, we pray Amen.
