This gentle and relaxing meditation is inspired by the Aboriginal practice of Dadirri, a mindful practice of deep inner listening and quiet awareness. Together in this minute meditation, we slow down, release the need to control, and enjoy peace and stillness.

Perfect for moments when you need calm, presence, and a pause from the rush of daily life.

This is day 22 of a 30-day 1-minute meditation challenge.

Introducing Dadirri Practice

Why Slowing Down Matters

Guided Minute Of Stillness

Closing And Ongoing Practice

SPEAKER_00

Welcome to Meditation Drip, your daily dose of mindfulness. This is Julie Scan, and we are on day 22 of a 30-day one-minute meditation challenge. Today we are slowing it down with a meditation inspired by a sacred, beautiful Aboriginal practice of inner deep listening and quiet awareness. It's called dotity. Not only is dotity a beautiful word, but I find the entire practice simply refreshing because we so often are rushing around and trying to solve things and control things. Where da deity is the opposite. Da Didi is all about slowing down, getting quiet, listening to your inner awareness, and letting things just unfold naturally. Sounds refreshing, right? So today's meditation is a taste of daidi. A moment of quiet, all for you. And let's go in. Place your hands palm side up in your lap. Allow your body to relax. Close your eyes, and for the next minute, just be here in quiet and stillness. Need more of da diddy? Keep going. And if one minute felt challenging, as sometimes it does, come back to this practice. The more stillness we invite, the more we practice it. I find the more we begin to crave it. Lots of love. Thank you for being here. See you tomorrow for day 23 of this challenge.
