All right. Welcome back to another episode of the Extreme Lifestyle Living Podcast. Now, today I got my paper all organized and wanna talk about routines. Now, to be honest, it was funny'cause I, I'm, I'm, I'm finally starting to get a little bit of a flow with the, uh, videos compared to audio.'cause audio is, is so much more or organic'cause I'm just chilling by myself, not really recording and having so many different factors in there. Um, and I like to share that stuff because a lot of you guys that I talk to about my podcast and that I work with, um, you guys always talk about. You know, just how much impact you guys get from the, the steps kind of being shared behind the scenes. Because anything I'm doing is, is, is isn't unattainable for anyone that's viewing or listening or watching. Do you know what I mean? And I always like people to know that because we're a lot more capable than we realize. And you know, even though I've been doing this podcast for so many years. Doing the video is fucking nerve-wracking sometimes, but I'm excited because I feel like I got a little bit of, um, like I said, like a flow and an understanding as I've been putting the videos out and committing to them and just getting this set up all situated. So, um, a big thing that is relevant in a theme with a lot of people right now is routines. And the reason why I want to highlight routines is because there's so many different types of routines, but at the end of the day, there's daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly routines that we have to implement that. Set us up for success. And all of these routines have to align with the version of us that we wanna become. Now, a lot of our day-to-day routines that we have right now may not serve or may not be 110% up to standard as to what we want to be, but it's all about that commitment to daily discipline to grow and put in the work. And as I was writing up some notes, I actually had a, a funny way as to how I can break it down as to like how to simplify the routines.'cause routines are just simply equations. Like prime example, when you're in math, you get an equation for. The answer period. So that equation is what works. Same thing with nutrition, same thing with fitness, same thing with boundaries thing. Same thing with mental health, stress. There's equations, a k, a routines to serve you. To be in control of these things. Find them out, figure them out, embrace them, and it, it's literally changed. It's that easy. We have good days, we have bad days, of course, but you know, if you're gonna use the, the example of the math, you're gonna have days, you just get stupid answers wrong because you're just maybe not paying attention or whatever it may be. But the nonetheless, when it comes to routines. Daily routines are what's gonna give you the biggest outcome because daily routines is where all the magic happens. You know, action is where your daily routine has to be behind. So your daily routine when not your weekly, not your monthly, not your yearly, those ones there are more set for the routines. There are more set for reflections to be able to look back on the days, the weeks, the months, and you know, make good adjustment. So the daily. Routine is what you need to focus on the most. Like what are you doing each and every single day? A lot of us get stuck in analysis paralysis. We overcomplicate things. We need to, we're like, you know, we're thinking about next week, like today, Sunday, as I'm recording this, uploading it. A lot of us burn out by Tuesday to Wednesday because we're already exhausted from Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and it hasn't happened yet. So when you focus on the daily routine and what you do e each and every single day, that's where you're gonna see a lot of the, the, the success. And then when it comes to like, the weekly routine, so let's, let's, let's look at it from this perspective again so I can break it down that much more clearly. Today's Sunday, this time next week on Saturday or Sunday, that'll be the weekly routine. So what does the weekly routine entail? Which is more of a reflection process. There's still action and actionables and things you gotta do that day to reflect on the week. But it's more of a reflective process. And what I mean by reflective is that you look back on the week and look at your actionables that you did each day, your actionables that you did for each category of your life, your fitness, your nutrition, your, your boundaries, your growth, all these different areas. And then it's a simple, it's a simple yes or no. That's where it becomes tricky is because, you know, a lot of us say that we put in the work. A lot of us say that we're willing to do all these things, which is true to a degree, but if you're not gonna reflect to see what's actually going right or wrong and embracing the hardship of who you are, AKA, not who you want to be, because this is the thing, I feel like a lot of people get this idea of changing. As just in simple terms, it's you become somebody that you're more confident as, and that's true. But the opposite end of that is, is to admit that you're not happy with who you are right now. And that's the kind of the double-edged sword. Because just because you admit to yourself right now that you're not 110% happy, doesn't mean you're in a bad spot. Are you where you want to be? No. But that's the same thing as saying like, oh, well, like, you know, I have a little bit of saving saved up, but I don't have 2 million saved up. Just'cause I don't have 2 million saved up doesn't mean I'm a fucking asshole. I'm a prick. It just means I'm not there yet. Do you know what I mean? So it's the same concept with this, but with weekly, monthly, and yearly. Routines and reflective processes, you have to be willing to eat this shit. What I mean by that is like the things you're not doing well enough, you have to admit that you're not doing them, and you gotta be able to check your ego. You're gonna have to be able to embrace your emotions. You're gonna have to admit that you're wrong. You're gonna have to go learn and get uncomfortable and do new things you've never done before. That's why understanding the concept of you not being who you want to be yet and changing who you are every single day.'cause if you bring it back to the daily routine, your daily routine has to feel different and difficult each day. If right now you are not who you want to become. If you are that person that you've grown in to become, then that's where you reflect and become more grateful and look at yourself. Look at the growth. Look how far you've come with nutrition, bodybuilding, you know, maybe some sports and endurance or whatever it may be. Like, whatever it is that you have as a goal in your life. You look back on that and you start to realize how much you've grown. That's a huge fucking part of the reflective process as well.'cause then you double it down on the daily things that got you there. So as long as you know that it's there and you, you're keeping that standard high that you're good. But as you start to look at the weekly, the monthly, and the yearly. Routines. That's when you have to be able to actually make the reflection process practical and actually implementable. Like you actually gotta implement these things because it's just, because again, like I said, just'cause you show up and put in all this work doesn't mean you're guaranteed the success. Are you going to be better than you were when you started? Of course.'cause you're doing something different than you've never done before. But isn't that, is that gonna guarantee the outcomes? No. So when it comes to like actually. Embracing the shit that you suck at and you gotta get better at, you gotta be able to be integral with actually doing the work that heals those things.'cause you can lie to yourself and say you're doing it, and then get to a monthly reflection point, a yearly reflection point. But then that's when you're just lying to yourself and two, three years go by and you realize how much time you wasted. But if you do this every single day, then that's when you're gonna be able to actually see how much growth you've had and how much capabilities you have within every single day. Because weekly, look back on the week, you focus every day, monthly focus back on the week, focus back on the daily focus on every single day, yearly, the same shit, right? So when you even do that time and time and time again and be integral with doing the work and embracing the emotions, success is literally inevitable. And the last point really is, is just focusing on consistency over perfection. That's a big thing. Why the reflection process is really, um, like, you know, just impactful to the overall, um, you know, just overall success of your goals because, you know, every single day, if you do the same shit every single day, there's a definition of insanity. Doing something every single day, expecting a different outcome when it's, you know, you're not getting a different outcome. So if you're not, you're not getting in shape. You're not tracking your food. You know what you gotta do? If you're not getting in shape, you're not working out. You know what you gotta do. If you're not making as much money as you want, but you're not actually trying to get a new career or you know, get education or get a mentor, then you know what you need to do. You know, the answers are always in front of us, right? But we get so burnt out because we just try to show up every single day. And when it comes to the reflection process each week, each month, each year, and you know, you can do daily reflections as well. It's just about being more consistent than you're not, you know, nothing ever comes immediately overnight. Like if you wanna get in the best shape of your life, you don't just wake up and you're in the best shape of your life. Like, it just doesn't happen overnight. It comes with consistency of tracking your macros, tracking your hydration, you know, putting the work in the gym, telling people no and sticking to your boundaries. Same thing with when it comes to emotional states and protecting your boundaries, and you know, like let's say you wanna look in the mirror and you like, Hey, I wanna demand more respect from people'cause I don't respect myself and I never felt respected by other people. I never felt hurt or seen or articulate it. Then you have to set those principles up for yourself before anyone else can give you those things. Right. So you gotta put in the work to know what your boundaries are. You gotta put in the reflective process on your emotional state as to the clarity of what actually makes you tick and what, why it makes you tick. You know, what's your traumas, what are your baggage? What's your things that you react to in life? And like, how much more can you heal yourself to be able to come to the table and have an actual game in terms of communication to build the life that you want? You know? And then these are things, all these things are like the daily work that you're putting into. And with that stuff itself help, it's. Books, it's podcasts. It's like embracing the emotions, which is a lot of things, and that's kind of the theme of the reflection process when it comes to any of your goals, is embracing the emotions. Of what's really true, we can lie to ourselves all the time. We're human, right? But, um, you really gotta focus on just being better every single day. 1% better each day, compounds to 7% each week, 14, 28 in a month, you know what I mean? And 365 throughout the course of the year. So, 3.65 times better than you are right there, right here today. Is a guaranteed success. You know what I mean? So, um, and that's pretty much it. You, you literally get success from that. So routines are literally everything. They're the backbone to the foundation. They're backbone to your success. And literally, me with the gym, I've just been going every single week more often than not, and more often than most people, for literally 10, 15 years. I didn't do anything different than anyone else is doing. I've just been going for a lot longer. You know, same with being an entrepreneur or running my life in certain other manners and anxiety and depression, dealing with self-actualization. I've just been embracing my emotions for a lot longer than a lot of other people. I've been articulating them for a lot longer than other people. I've been communicating them for a lot longer than other people. So just time in the arena. So the consistency is always gonna be better. There's never a perfect day, never a perfect moment. There's never anything perfect ever. It just you slowly, again, as you reflect, you start to realize more things that keeps you in control, which only reiterates the importance on the day-to-day work. Because in order to reflect on your success, you have to do the day-to-day work to get that success. So it's a full circle moment and that's where I want to end it off at. But other than that, If there's ever anything you guys need, I appreciate you guys the time. Let's just keep leaving from the front. Let's fucking go.
