Welcome And The Authenticity Frequency
SPEAKER_00Hey guys, welcome to another episode of Proximity. I am your host, Ken Joclin. Super excited as we continue our series on my new and upcoming book, The 14 Frequencies of Proximity, the Ford written by my dear friend Gary Brecca. And today, guys, frequency number seven is the authenticity frequency. I call authenticity the connection frequency. Authenticity is what allows us as human beings to be able to connect with other human beings. I mentioned my good friend Gary Brecka, who wrote the Ford of this book, because I learned this frequency and really the principle of frequencies from Gary. October of 2021, Gary was speaking at one of my very first events that we ever did, I think. Small room, 50-55 people in Las Vegas. And Gary actually, in his talk that day, he talked about frequencies. And he talked about a medical review study that was done where they where they reviewed and measured the electromagnetic frequencies that we emit as human beings. Like what is, and I don't want to sound juju, but like our aura or our presence or our countenance or however you would want to describe that biblically. But we as human beings emit electromagnetic frequency. I'll never forget, we're in a room, 50, 55 people standing over on the side, and Gary goes, What do you think is the highest frequency that we emit as human beings? And I write about this in this chapter in my book. And the vast majority of the people, Gary gave out some options like, is it
The Study That Ranked Authenticity
SPEAKER_00love? Is it anger? Is it authenticity? I think he gave us three or four things. To a man and woman in the room, everybody voted love. Everybody's like, oh, love's got to be the highest frequency. And then Gary pulled up this scientific study that shows that authenticity is far, is a far greater and more powerful and higher recorded EMF than love is. And then he went into explaining what is authenticity. Because you and I know, I just had a conversation with my good friend Justin Rothlingshoffer this morning about this subject. A lot of people are they're not, they're they they shy from their identity and they just want an image, especially in, especially in social media land. There's so many people that what we call insta-famous, like they look great on social media, but their lives really aren't, they don't really amount to anything. What they've done, they they they profess to be, you know, obviously these big group, big, great businessmen and women, and they've done all of these things. And the reality of it is, is they haven't done anything. They've just learned how to leverage social media, pay people to grow followers, to grow all the things, to even, guys, even today, just getting likes and comments on their pages. Like all of those things are legit. And what we're doing in this world today, it's why when you can master this frequency of authenticity, you'll connect with the right people that you need in order to carry out and fulfill what God has called you to fulfill. So Gary is doing this talk, and this is what he said. He goes, authenticity, I think, is two to three times higher than the frequency of love. And he goes, now this is how you and what an authentic frequency is created from. Scientists said it comes from two things. Number one, authenticity comes from a person that has a deep understanding about a topic or a subject. A deep, like they understand the topic and the subject. But it's not just an understanding. That understanding is coupled with a great passion for that subject or that topic as well. So as a human, when you have a deep understanding and a great passion for that topic or that subject, that's where the frequency of authenticity comes from. And so you and I, you know this. You can walk into a room, I mean, just from people you meet greeting at the door to the people sitting in the seats to the person on the stage. You can you can sense when somebody is inauthentic. It's especially if you have a passion to live this frequency. If you have a passion to be authentic and you have a desire to connect with other amazing human beings, guys, it you can you can sense when you walk in a room. We just finished um three days in our corner couples retreat this weekend, or corner couple's weekend. And so I had Dr. Emerson Eggriches and his wife Sarah, authors of Love and Respect, over three million copies. They are probably the preeminent voice inside the church today when it comes to marriage. And their whole love and respect movement for the past 25 years has literally is probably the top. I don't think they're pretty much second to none when it comes to that. So we had 19
Passion Plus Mastery Creates Authenticity
SPEAKER_00couples gathered this weekend at our offices and studios in Alphabetta, right here in Atlanta. And just for two full days learning from Emerson and from his wife. And you know, the number one comment I got from most everybody there. And I'm talking about these are our one-on-one guys I work with. Every one of these businesses is about $2 million to in the $30 million year range. And I had so I had a few pastor friends of mine there as well. But they're they're crushing when it comes to business. The number one comment I kept hearing, especially from people that I had invited that weren't in this group with our GSD corner, was Ken, man, these guys were so successful. Like these couples are uber successful. There's no ego in this room. Like nobody's running around saying, look at me and look what I've accomplished. And everybody in that room, for the most part, are truly authentic, amazing human beings. It's funny. Emerson was up on, he was up teaching and literally would just sit and teach for hours to this group. And would not only teach the hours, but even open it up for conversation. And Jason Buffington sitting behind me. We went to the same high school. I'm a little older than he is. But Jason's talking, loves God, pastored forever, still preaches. I'm one of the top real estate agents here in the in the Northeast Georgia area. And he's asking questions. And I never forget Emerson just looked at him and he went, guys, you can tell in a room who people are. And he just looked at Jason, he pointed at him, and he goes, Jason, he's a good old boy. And I was, I just started chuckling on my breath because that's exactly who he is. He's just a he is just a good old boy. He's an amazing man who loves God, loves his family, loves everything in his community to his country, loves what he does. He's just passionate for people and he's passionate for Jesus. Well, when somebody says something like that, they can't say that about somebody
Success Without Ego In The Room
SPEAKER_00who's inauthentic. They can only say that about somebody who is really living out the call and the purpose that God has for them. So authenticity is the highest frequency that we can emit as human beings. Secondly, and this is amazing, guys. Not only is authenticity the highest frequency that we emit, authenticity is the most sought after. So it's not love, it's not peace, it's not any of these other frequencies we can admit, we can emit. No, authenticity is what people are seeking right now. It's what they're searching for right now. Like, Ken, how did you grow the number one faith-based entrepreneur conference in the country? This year, our goal is a thousand to 1,200 people. How do you get guys like John Maxwell and Gary Brecken and Erwin McManus and Brendan Bruchard and Ed Milette and Horse Schulte, the former co-founder and CEO of Ritz Carlton, all of these amazing friends of mine, Jen Gottlieb, Ambery Lago, Marie Costco, how do you get these, Katie Peterman, how do you get all these amazing human beings in one room? Because I live, I literally live my life, my mantra on our new office wall and studio wall here in Atlanta, are this my quote that I live by. Great leaders want something for people, not from people. And you want to talk about living and practicing the frequency of authenticity so you can connect with the right people. Guys, when you live a life where you want something for people, not from people, listen, every single, every single one of you guys listening to this podcast today, you know the people that when they walk in the room, you turn around and walk the other direction. Why? Because they're always wanting something for you or from you. They're pulling, they're takers. They're not givers, they're not life-giving. They want something from you. So the highest frequency we emit is authenticity. The most sought-after frequency also is authenticity. Listen, I'll be back right after this break to talk about my new book, 14 Frequencies, Approximity. Okay, guys. We've talked about, we've talked about the frequency of authenticity, some of the scientific stuff that I learned from my good friend Gary Brecker. Let's jump into scripture really quick. Ecclesiastes 4, 9 and 10 says, two are better than one. If either falls down, one can help the other up. And guys, that only works if both people are practicing authenticity. And you're gonna meet people, guys, maybe even at first that you feel like are authentic, but you'll learn throughout just a period of time in relationship. I'm very careful to watch people. I want to know is who you portray yourself to be, is that really who you are? Because listen, if somebody practices and lives a life of character and integrity, if they're an authentic human being, you're gonna see that played out over the long haul. I mean, you're gonna see it. If they're not, you're also gonna see that. Because it's one thing to say, it's another thing to live. And a lot of people
Trust Built Over Time
SPEAKER_00can say they're authentic and they may not be this. So authenticity is alignment, guys. Your values, your beliefs, your actions all emitting the same signal. When you live authentic, people trust the frequency. When you live authentic, people trust that frequency. Because especially in today's world, again, how did I build this? How did I build this so fast? How did I get some of the people to come speak? How do I how have we built this whole movement for faith-based entrepreneurs? It literally is because I want something for people, not from people. And people trust that frequency. Again, trust is rarely built, guys, in a single moment. It's built through the accumulation of small, consistent actions. Last week I was in Miami with my good friend Justin Rothlings Hoffer. He had about 65 men there for his holy health weekend. Phenomenal weekend. You don't follow Justin, go find Justin Rawlings Hoffer, one of the top uh training guys, nutrition guys. He travels with Brandon Lake. He does all of Brandon's personal stuff. They train some MLS teams. They trained the NHL officials. Phenomenal guy when it comes to health and nutrition and physical fitness. Well, he's got these guys over there. Well, Gary and Sage were supposed to be out of town. They're supposed to be in Colorado. Gary texts me a couple days before. He goes, hey, dude, I'm going to be in Miami this weekend. Come by and see me. So I took about three hours on Saturday morning away from the group, and I just went over to Gary and Sage's house. And I got there. And when I got out of the elevator to their floor, walked out, came in. Gary was in his big hyperbaric chamber. So I sat there for about 30 minutes doing some work on Claude while Gary, I was waiting on Gary to decompress and get out of the hyperbaric. Well, he said, dude, just come on in. So he did. We sat there with a door open and we talked for three hours. Like just an amazing, amazing conversation with tons of depth. Well, how do you do that, Gary? Well, again, trust is not built in a single moment. It's built through the accumulation of small, consistent moments. Almost goes back to my incremental, not monumental concept. Small, daily, disciplined decisions over time always equal monumental results. And so there, I don't think I've ever made an ask for Gary of anything. And there, that day, a couple Saturdays ago, for three hours, we sit and talked. I said, dude, my book's coming out. Obviously, Gary did the forward, so he's very familiar with the book. And I said, anything you can do to help me get the word out, whether it be introducing me to friends that have podcasts, whatever that looks like. And Gary said, Ken, I love you. He goes, Whatever you need me to do, I'm going to do because I believe in your message. Because again, we've been friends now for five years. So it's not something that's just short term, but authenticity will help you connect. Authenticity is the connection frequency. It'll help you connect with the right people. And then from that point forward, if it's true authenticity, the character integrity will keep you in the room where you need to be. So leadership magnifies character. Proximity magnifies transparency. Leadership magnifies character. Proximity magnifies transparency. Guys, without trust, no systems work. Decisions won't work. Revenue work won't work. Delegation won't work. None of those
Three Ways To Practice Authenticity
SPEAKER_00things will work. So here's what I want you to do. Let's let's how can we take what we've learned today and apply that? Super easy. If you're taking notes, driving in the car, don't take notes. If you're not driving in the car, grab your pen, write this down. I want you to share a story this week. I want you to be, how can you be vulnerable or authentic with your team this week? I literally yesterday I got a little snarky on one of my guys. And I just got through working out. I had needs about 1:30, 2 o'clock, not making excuses, but you know how it goes. And I said something, and I was just like, I'm sorry, I got snarky. I said, I'm a little hangry right now. But I literally had to, I had to own, like, and they've never seen me get like a little snarky like that. And I'm like, guys, come on. And so share a story with vulnerability with your team or your circle this week to strengthen mutual trust. Number one. Number two, audit your life in the relationships. Are there relationships where you're performing instead of just connecting? And let me ask you this it may not be just where you're performing. There may be relationships in your life where you're required to perform for the other individual. And you know it when it's, you know that when I say that, you can, there's a, there's a relationship or name that just kind of comes up in your spirit. Listen, you've got to make a decision on how you want to do that relationship. And do you want it to continue? And if you do continue, it has to be very clear boundaries, maybe just boundaries for you and not the other person. So communicate one intention or decision that you've been keeping vague. Guys, transparency pre it prevents the misunderstanding before it starts. Have the conversation. So I want you to ask yourself this week in every room that you walk in, am I here for these people to add value or am I more concerned with what they'll think of me? So listen, here's what I'd love for you to do. GrowStackDrive.com forward slash 14. That's grow stackdrive.com forward slash 14. Guys, authenticity is the connection frequency. Would love for you to jump over to the landing page for my new book. The release is September 16th, 17th, and 18th. We're going to be doing a three-day event. I've got several friends like Gary Breca for our book launch, three days, four hours a day, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Details will follow soon, but you can hop over to grossstatrive.com forward slash one four and grab your copy of your book, multiple copies if you own a business. Yeah, I promise you, it will be an amazing investment into your team, the growth and the health of your team as well. So next week, frequency number eight, encouragement. I call it the amplifier frequency. Guys, the word encourage means, literally means to add courage to. How can I let you borrow my courage? Anytime I speak life
Book Launch Invite And Next Week
SPEAKER_00into someone and encourage someone, it's allowing them to borrow my courage. So can't wait to see you next week. Thank you again for joining me this week on another episode of Proximity with Ken Johnson.
