Listen to 2 Corinthians 1:4 NKJV: “Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
What a wonderful promise that is. But we have to take action. We have to take the initiative. First of all, God does give us comfort in all of our tribulation. I don’t know what you’re going through right now. I don’t know what tribulations are attacking you. But I do know this: that God is greater than anything you are facing. And the reason that we have this promise from God is that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble. Do you know people in trouble? Do you know people who are having difficulties? I do. And I want to reach out to them. And God tells us that we can – you can, I can – if we have believed on the Lord Jesus. If we are believers in Him, if we are children of God, then with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God, we can in turn comfort others. Are you willing? It takes a lot of prayer. It takes concentration. It takes reading God’s Word, and then heeding the Word of God.
