Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ

“You yourselves bear me witness that I said, ‘I am not the Christ, but I have been sent before Him.” John 3:28 NKJV

John the Baptist was being accused of being more than he was. But he wanted to set the record straight. He wanted people to know that he had been sent to pave the way for the Son of God, the real Messiah. And so in the Gospel of John, we have the story of who John the Baptist really was, and how he was telling people that Jesus had been born of the virgin Mary, lived perfectly, and that He was their Savior when they would turn to Him from their sins, would believe on Him, would tell other people about Him. If you have not yet believed on the Lord Jesus, read your Bible, especially the Gospel of John. And as you read this, you will see how God put together a plan of salvation that is never ending, until people admit they’ve sinned and believe on Him and confess Him publicly. It becomes an opportunity as well as a responsibility – not only to believe, but to share that belief, that trust, that faith in Jesus Christ with others, so they too can go to heaven.
