Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ

John 21:17 NKJV says: “He said to him the third time, ‘Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?’ Peter was grieved because He had said to him the third time, ‘Do you love Me?’”

A lot of times we miss what God is trying to say to us, and we try to second guess Him. But don’t do that. Listen to the Lord. Listen to the Scriptures. Listen to the power and presence of the Holy Spirit speaking to your heart of hearts. Yes, Peter was grieved because he didn’t understand why Jesus was asking him again and again about the same thing. But God had a plan. He needed to have Peter in tune with Him – totally, completely, without reservation. And so do you. You need to be so in tune with the Lord that you will listen to what He says to you, that you will obey His voice, that you will respond to His very very special yearnings and urgings to be part of you. So again, listen: “Do you love Jesus?” That’s the question of questions. Ask it now. And when you get the answer, proceed. Love the Lord God with all of your heart, with all of your mind, with all of your soul, with all of your strength. Go forward with the Gospel. Tell people how to get to heaven. You can if you will.
