On this edition of The Sports Squad, Bell Ringer Editor in Chief Rodrigo Burgos Avila teams up with Sports Editor and co-host Nayla Reese recap another busy week across Augusta University athletics, including updates from the More Than Golf Invitational, AU baseball’s series against Georgia Southwestern, and recent men’s tennis action at Francis Marion. They then shift to the global stage to preview the upcoming World Baseball Classic, discussing favorites, sleeper nations and players to watch, and the controversy surrounding player contracts and insurance. The episode wraps up with NBA talk as the league enters the homestretch, including the San Antonio Spurs’ recent hot streak and the Detroit Pistons positioning themselves for a strong finish.
